My Corrupted Prince Username: Syaoran-Puu Name of Prince: Jasper Bloodheart What memento does he have from the princess: A pendant with a dried blood droplet upon it. Your Prompt: Jasper Bloodheart felt the emptiness clawing away at his insides, he was a monster, his icy blue eyes too sensitive to the world around him to give him much in the way of images. He saw the world in blurred shadows, his mind being forced to compensate past the the hints of colours and images he got. Yet despite this his rage echoed from deep within him, a raging monster that refused to simply stand silent to the storm that battered constantly upon his door. Jasper was not one to surrender, was not one to bow down to the dominance of another... was not one to take 'no' lightly. After years of searching, years of hoping he would find the one he finally believed her had.... a delicate sunshine shape that seemed to wipe away all the shadows in his vision until he saw only light. She had blonde hair as yellow as the sun and although it hurt his vision to gaze upon it for long he found himself indulging in the scent of it, lemon grass. Her name was Maria. And to him she was the one creature that could tame some of the feral beast within him... of course that was until that fateful day. A day filled with so much anger and sorrow. A day of pure darkness, the day he revealed his true nature to the world, never to return to the state he had once been in. Jasper had destroyed his soul beyond repair. Strangers had come seeking him, had tried to take his palace by force, killing his faithful servants, his friends. His anger had become so great that he had refused to allow a single one of them to live, blood bubbled in his veins as the adrenaline fuelled his senses, compensating for his poor sight. A swipe to the left, a tear to the right, a slam before him... each fell like vermin beneath his explosive power... including her. He had not known it was her, had meant to protect her. Yet the blood within his veins had turned everything to darkness, and her once glowing yellow hair was tarnished to black. The strike had come swiftly, and at first Jasper had not known what he had done, had not understood. Until he heard her voice. A dull whisper as her last breath left her fragile body. "I forgive you". The world had stopped. A spiraling vortex that threatened to consume his very exsistance. He lay beside her for what felt like years. Her body, that had once been so warm and full of life left cold and lonely, the soul having moved on to better things, a place he could never join her. The necklace around her neck shone despite the blood droplet that had dried upon it. He had given it to her, a gift as magnificent as her hair and scent, a gift to symbolise that she alone owned his heart.... After staying by her side for three weeks, he finally left. Taking only one thing with him. Her pendant. It was to be a reminder of what he had forever stripped himself of. A reminder of the beast within him. The darkness within him could not bare to think of her blood upon it, anyone but her, but it was hers. Jasper had stripped away his heart in one fatal swipe. Removed his chances forever of happiness. He deserved nothing but pain and misery.... and he would ensure that those that had dared invade his home would pay with their lives and those that they loved. For all he had now was his vengeance.

My Corrupted Prince Username: [+Katch+] Name of Prince: Francoeur Garnet What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: a small crown set with stained pearls, A fine but frayed black silk cape and a small heartshaped locket on a bracelet. Your Prompt: It was true, Francoeur had never sought a bride, he was still young, why should he? But the truth was hard to swallow, his father the King had long since vanished, apparently killed by a warring kingdom, and still! out of the corner of his eye, Francoeur could see that his subjects looked to him adoringly...But he did not want their "happily Ever After." He clopped down the hallway to his bedroom, his hooves making a hollow click upon the dark marble floor...He reached his room and with no hesitation walked THROUGH one of the walls! It was a simple turning wall, made to conceal his favorite hang out, A dungeon of sorts, away from the prying eyes of his kingdom...He decended into the dark, a wild look in his eyes, his lips curling over large fangs. For you see, he was a selfish prince and though he hid it well, was as dangerous as a camouflaged rattler. For he possessed a lust that was uncommon, even in a young stallion like him. And that was the problem you see, he did not wish for a mare in the conventional manner...not ALIVE anyway.
He had gone on a "journey" recently, a show for the general populous, in their eyes he left seeking a queen, in his heart, he left seeking victims. His weakness was blood, he would never get over the beauty of the color of it, fresh from a vein. He did his utmost to keep from shivering under the scruitiny of his underlings. He had met a princess through connections to the neighboring kingdom, a small, delicate mare with a creamy coat and big trusting blue eyes. Her name was Pearl, and her favorite color was pink. She sported a small crown, fitted to go around her dainty ears and set with three perfect pink pearls. She had been easy enough too fool, her pulse jumped like a trapped thing in her throat at any simple charm he bestowed on her... she hadn't lasted much longer. He told his subjects that the princess did not like him and had decided to move on. Without questioning, they moved on to the next kingdom.
This one was not as easy, she was a challenge, and Francoeur was fond of "Live ones." His heart felt as if it were wrapped in warm shadow, the soft prickling of excitement. She was a stark contrast to his first Princess, dark of hair and coat, with a equally dark gleam of intelligence in her eyes. Her name was Evonika and the only thing she carried that was unique was a small bracelet about one of her ankles with a heart locket on it. She was being offered to the dark prince against her will, she already had someone she loved, but royalty was not allowed to be with peasants... He had done away with her almost sadly, she was smart enough to have quickly understood that he wasn't interested in her the way that any normal suitor should have been. She had fought and even bloodied him a little. He had torn out her throat. Two kingdoms both cried out for vengance for their missing princesses, soon putting the two and two together. Wherever the dark prince went in search for a bride, he left bodies in his wake.
Back in his dungeon, crowds outside the castle walls stomped their hooves and cried brokenly for vengance, but he could not hear them in his dark place, within the stone of these walls he was safe, safe with his shelf of trophies, keepsakes from different places, all with grisly stories. He would escape secretly in the night and let the vultures pick upon the kingdom he was supposed to protect.
His eyes gleamed in the dim light that came from a candle on a long empty table, he hummed low in his throat, the deep tone resonating eerily through the small space. His eyes roving over his hoard, he turned his head slightly to look upon the last piece on his trophy shelf, starkly different than the others, it was a bleached Soquili skull with a long crack going down the center, The page from a book stuffed inside the empty screaming mouth.
"When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks into you." Isn't that right, father? hahaHAHAHA~
(The quote at the end is credited to Friedrich Nietzsche, which belongs to the lone page stuffed in the mouth of that skull! haha If this is not allowed please just tell me ^^ thankyou)

My Corrupted Prince Username: Revel1984 Name of Prince: Varran What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: A blood red crystal pendant on a thin chain necklace which he wears around his neck. A silverish metal hair pin/comb set with amethysts which he wears in his tail. He also has a long chain (think prisoner) that wraps loosely around his body which wraps tightly around his left foreleg also. Your Prompt: The prince left with his entourage. They travelled for many days, resting only at night. One such day they had travelled for a long time and it was nearing dark when they came upon a darkened house, the only light visible was from the sunshine bouncing off dark windows. Now, the prince was weary, having shared everything with his servants, he wasn't an unkind prince. In fact, his 'servants' were treated as equals once away from the castle and the restraints of society. This prince decided there wasn't really time for them to pitch camp and approached the house, ringing a very elaborate doorbell. The door was answered by a very plump but elderly Usdia with a very strange look in his eyes when he looked at the prince. "My Lord and Lady have been expecting you Prince Varran" To which the prince was surprised but guessed someone from his kingdom had sent ahead runners to Lords and Ladies in the country.
Once inside, candles lit on their own, as if summoned to life by an unknown force. Some of prince Varran's party grew nervous, speaking of demons and spirits but Varran snorted at the idea, there was no such thing. He blinked as the Lord and Lady of the house emerged, both were beautifully clothed in rich colors, the Lady in deep reds and purple, wearing a simple, but startling crystal around her pale neck. Her hair was black as night and the silkiest, softest looking hair he'd ever seen, all styled wonderfully and held together with one simple hair comb simply spotted with deep purple gems. Her husband, the Lord wore a deep forest Green, his hair was immaculate and was a deep, rich brown. Together they were extremely impressive and accorded the Varran's awe immediately, however it was the stunning green eyes of the Lady that captivated him as she gazed upon him. He and his servants were invited to stay and dine with them that evening, which Varran, noting the night was falling fast and deepening, agreed.
It was several days later and Varran and his servants were still welcoming the gentle hospitality of the regal couple. Neither had offered their names as yet while both seemed to know of him and the others. This Varran saw as a little strange but didn't question it since they had shown no sign of hostility, in fact they were eager to restock the party's supplies and aid the Prince in his search for his princess, they had already suggested the easiest routes to nearby kingdoms possessing princesses of wondrous beauty. During those few days there were glances, unspoken things passed between the two. This wasn't unnoticed by the Lord, who was perhaps the most eager for the young prince to be on his way....or at least it seemed that way.
The Prince and his party stayed at the house for weeks it seemed while his servants grew more and more nervous. They'd heard whispers of travellers going missing when passing through this country from the current staff at the house. Which, seemed to change often while they stayed. One night the visitors were awoken by a scream. The Prince, always one to lead from the front rather than allow others to do the dirty work, took his sword and took his most trusted companion, the one who had been by his side since childhood. Together they searched the house but found nothing out of place... until they got back to their rooms, the bed where the prince had slept was torn up and the room was a mess, The prince and his companion searched the other rooms and found every member of his party missing but with no signs of foul play, as if they all had just upped and abandoned the Prince. There was a noise behind them, a scraping sound. As Varran turned he heard a shout from his companion, he had time to see a shadow before pain exploded in his head and blackness fell.
He woke with a head that pounded, he realised he was cold and it was damp and dark. He groaned and tried to get up but he found he was chained and his neck hurt. He felt weak but hungry, sometime of trying to free himself later he must have passed out because when he next woke he was in a different room entirely, graceful but he was still chained, though less tightly than before. He strained against the chains when he saw, across the room from himself and chained, the Lady of the house, her pale face appearing to be covered in bruises. He roared in anger and fury, as well as in pain as he pulled against his chains, trying to get across to her. He was pushed back easily by the usdia servant who chuckled creepily. "My Lord will be with you soon.... you'll be getting hungry ....VERY hungry once the night falls" he cackled before securing the chains on Varran before exiting the room. Varran, unable to escape the chains, to get to the Lady, hoped that his servants were safe at least, no matter how slim that hoped seemed.
Night had fallen and, as the Usdia had predicted, Varran was close to feeling starved, every bone in his body ached with hunger and now night had fallen, the Lady was awake and whimpering, she'd called out to Varran to get her away from there, her pleas sounding wretched and heartfelt. When the door opened Varran blinked as a strong light shone in his face, the room having grown dark. The Lord laughed deeply, before placing the lamp on a small table nearby the lady. He laughed again as he held her face to his and kissed her while she struggled. she sobbed and strained against her chains, apparently trying to get away. The Lord reached into his pocket and drew out a key, at which the lady sobbed and begged him not to release her. He ignored her however and unlocked her chains.
All this passed in front of Varran in slow motion until she was released, she cried and stayed where she was for a moment before moving at Varran, faster than he had thought was possible. Teeth at his neck, he struggled but she was strong, stronger than he could have predicted. Eventually she was dragged away and the Lord spoke to her "now see what happens when you take a shine to a pet, but maybe this one can be a useful addition, Melway says he is a strong one" he said to her. She turned a tear streaked face to Varran, her eyes free of moisture now, her face slightly flushed but the bruising was gone, her eyes almost shone with their dazzling green and Varran found himself unable to resist when the Lord came over and forced him to drink from a goblet. Varran choked down the thick liquid, his hunger and thirst too great for him to resist but they left him chained. When daylight fell Varran felt feverish, he was hot and the sun hurt his eyes and his skin felt like it was burning even though it wasnt.
The next evening the Lord and lady returned, the lady, showing no signs of her previous imprisonment, her face held no emotion whatsoever as she eyed his form, he was beyond sanity now, hunger had driven him to begin gnawing on himself. The pain of his fierce desire for sustenance was unbearable and when the Lord offered another goblet of liquid, this time Varran was eager for it, anything that could quench the pain. "I think he's ready My Lord" commented the Lady in a toneless voice, to which the Lord laughed and turned, a silent summons to Melway who dragged the servant who had been the prince's most trusted companion. "Drink and live.... don't .... and both shall suffer incredible tortures of pain before you finally expire" said the Lord, nicking the throat of the servant before tossing him to the ground near the prince. Varran was horrifed at his own actions when he bent to the wound but he could do nothing about it. The fire in his body fading as he drank the lifeblood of his friend. When he was done his friend lay dead but his pain was gone and he liked the feeling. "Well?" enquired the Lord of him and Varran looked up, he nodded and simply held his manacled forelimbs to him, bowing his head.
Months passed and the three of them hunted the Villages sating their hunger each night, sharing meals. Varran earning the trust of the ghastly couple until one night he was allowed his old sword back. The following morning as the Lord and Lady slept in their darkened room, heavy drapes blocking out all light, Varran fell upon them with his sword, the Lord first. He hesitated at the sleeping form of the Lady and almost baulked but his stomach twisted and the sight of his friend laying in his arms came to his memory. Swiftly he dispatched her, once it was over he collapsed on the floor of the bed chamber and slept until night. He woke hungry, tear stained face gazing down on the bodies of the Lord and Lady, he wept again as he stroked her wondrous hair before he got angry. he tore the pendant from her neck, pausing by her bedside to take the comb she had always worn. As he reached the doorway Melway, the Usdia stood there, barring his way, twirling a heavy chain of silver which he tossed at Varran, the metal burning his flesh as if it were hot coals, it twisted around his body and he snarled, the pain incredible. Despite this he twisted it around a foreleg and pulled the Usdia towards him and he tore at the small creature's neck with his fangs, feeding before fleeing the house that was being surrounded by a mob of villagers. he escaped by using a back tunnel the pair had shown him once before. Dragging with him the silver chain that the Usdia had thrown at him. The pain sending him mad.
Now Prince Varran is driven mad with the pain of the silver that seems to cling to him, no matter how he tries to remove it, it proves impossible. He wears the Necklace and the Hair comb as a reminder of how he became this twisted monster, feeding every night to stop the pangs of agony that flares through him, some part of his twisted mind remembers he is a Prince and not a monster, the same part of his mind has him searching endlessly each night for The One, to find his Princess to take back home, somwhere he cannot return to, his search is endless because each time he thinks he has found her, he is tormented by his need to feed and inevitably feeds from her, killing the mare and beginning his search all over again.

My Corrupted Prince Username: dawns_aura Name of Prince: Veice Calbriel What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: From his original betrothed- a delicate floral (lilies) charm bracelet (it belonged to her) -he wears it on his right foreleg-, and a small female skull (hers) From the trip through his madness- tattered black/red cape with high collar, and strands of garnet stung in mane and tail. Your Prompt: He was once betrothed to the most incredible mare. She was strong and smart. Lovely as the dawn, and gentle as the summer breeze. She was all he could ever ask, all he could ever hope for. She was his light, his reason for living.
But then, one day, the shadows came. And she was no longer there with him.
Where could she be? 'Illaea, where are you Illaea?'
Servants shook their heads at his mad behavior, but no dared to take pity on him. None dared to do anything for him. Until one day a hooded stranger arrived.
'Illaea!'
'Would you know the truth?' The stranger asked, voice soft and harsh, cold as the winter wind.'Would you dare to know?'
Veice's head jerked as he turned to find who had spoke to him.'You know where my Illaea is?'
'Perhaps so. And perhaps not.' A shrug. 'It all depends. How far are you willing to go? What price are you willing to pay?'
'She is my life. I… would go anywhere. Do anything…' 'Even confront the shadows in your heart? Travel through the dark corridors of your soul…' 'Anything!' All he could see was bright blue eyes and a cruel edged smile. 'Good.'
….
He knew not how long he had been asleep, or traveling through his own mind. But when he awoke, he knew two things for certain- 1) Illaea was dead and 2) he was the one who killed her.
'Illaea, I am so so sorry,' he whispered brokenly.
He had never before felt such peace as he did with Illaea. 'Veice, why do you insist on dressing so? This isn't you. Not now. Not as long as I am with you.' 'Illaea…' 'Shhh… I am here, and that's that. I'll always be right here.' He couldn't help but wryly shake his head. His princess was a fragile thing, but so fierce. He knew if it was at all within her power, she would do just what she said. And he adored her even more for it.
'Do you remember now?' a dark voice questioned from the shadows.
The fear, the shock, the taste of warm blood, the feeling of bones crushing beneath his hooves. The sound of lungs filling with fluid as she fought with all the strength she had left to speak to him. 'Forgive yourself.' As if he could. The devastation, her death… it was all his fault. 'I love you.' She whispered softly as the light faded in her eyes and life left her mangled body.
Veice hung his head in shame. It was the only answer he could give.
'And now, you are MINE.'

My Corrupted Prince Username: Vistada Name of Prince: Crystian What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: Their house crest. A long scarf that hung against neck and over his back but never touching the ground completely. At the ends of the scarf hangs the emblem, a Red Raven silhouette that was bent over some blood pooling down the scarf and ending where the scarf ends. Across the neck-part a chain hangs down one of the folds and a large Ruby weighs it down a little with a pair of large Raven feathers underneath the stone hanging from the chain. Your Prompt: It was true; Crystian was born to a Royal house. Many knew that he however left that house when he was a young adult. Or well, he was stolen. His house had a dark secret, a dark lie within the succession line; they thirsted for blood. It was all they needed to continue their 'lives'. With this knowledge, a Ringmaster of a dark carnival swooped him away.
Giving him the stage name The Vampyre. They would show him off for people to cheer and enjoy. Endless times of clapping; throwing bloodied rags at him to see him flinch. With the ravenous need for the blood.. Crystian was brought down to the measures of a fool in the years he was forced along the trails with the Carnival. He was chained usually in a carriage, dragged by his own kin. Soquili; usually dark as soot.. Large and black. Never winged. City to city they would go, forgetting always to pass into Longheuld; his Royalty house. Where his mother reigned as Queen and weeped over her King's grave. Hoping someday that her Prince would come back to his Castle and take up the throne.
But he didn't.
He held the curse his parents never told him, the one that even went through the veins of his father. The only way Chrystian knew of it was when people would taunt him and tell him the stories and riddles of his father. But they were all untrue in some ways. In the town they visited last, before Chrystian found a way out.. Usually there was a burly stallion that would come in and drag him by a muzzle. Keeping the fangs from anything that got in the way.. But today was her. Rumour was that the princess had wanted to see the Vampyre up close and personal. She always had the comment on how familiar he was and how handsome he had grown if it was who she thought he was.
And he was.
She came in to get him ready but this time she moved into the cage upon the carriage. Pristine, clean white coat. She was a dazzling sight. Reds painted her in thick bold markings. Her hair draped down white in thick braids as well as her tail, a long dragging thing with raven feathers hanging from red beads in both. Down her throat a chain clung to her frame. At the end a ruby was decorated with large raven feathers that danced as she trotted. Her eyes a cold blue much like his, however they dazzled him. A seductress' glance. In her snout draped down a black cloak, at the end of the cloak was a house-emblem. The emblem of his house. His home; the place where his mother had been weeping all these years for him to come home. "What do you want of me?.. To decorate my mind with symbols of home while your kind throw bloodied rags and bones at me. Watch me drink blood from a cow?" He would say to her in a sickened vocal. His fangs showing each time he spoke. Watching no fear trickle into the princess' nerves.
She whinnied. Throwing the cloak over him without his retorts. A grin of sorts as she watched him in all his glory. The cloak of his house decorated with a final chain of a ruby. Raven feathers in tact. Her cold eyes grew colder. A shimmer in them woke him up. "You have been hiding." She said with an enchanting voice. "I think I may like you after all.." With that she lead him through the crowd with the usual ritual. Beckoning him into the cage she grinned at him wildly. No fangs; but she acted like his house did. But she wasn't of his house. She was royalty much higher then him. As she watched his actions she stood there head high. No one touched her in the crowd. No one wanted to feel the crushing force of her power. She just radiated it.
As the mockery began and the cackling insisted, his blood thirst raised. His blue eyes shifting into a hollow deadly colour. But all he did was stand there watching her laugh. But she was not laughing at her. She hadn't chained him. As his hunger ripped through him; Chrystian fled through the crowd and let out a battle cry of anger. He ripped at a Soquili's throat. One after the other until the rest of the crowd was gone and all that was left was the Ringleader. His eyes gleaming at him with an evil grin. He had always a smug face on him. Entertainment it seemed that is what it was to him. But with one lunge Chrystian destroyed him too. Standing over him with blood dripping down his front.
"Excellent!" She cooed at him. "Excellent.. You really are the Prince we lost many years ago." She cackled a little. An Elegant cackle nonetheless. Nuetral zone she stood on as she cantered her head to the dead around her. No blood lay on her. "Make your way home to our kind. Our mother's waiting for you.. Don't disappoint me Crystian." Her last words. Moving off towards her Castle. All he could do was stare at her. Her beauty as she strided. But he would never be able to amuse her personality. He glared at her now. Why did he know her.. She had made him kill these Soquili and people. Only wanting a bit of fun before returning to their usual lives.
It was only then then he notice the raven feathers. The Raven it had been his family crest all this time.
The princess in his wake was not a princess looking for a good time. But his sister who had become a Queen alongside a stallion years before. A smile stretched his face. Looking at the ruckus. He remember the Soquili he had been before this. A quick remarker. Someone sarcastic and slightly obnoxious. Maybe he would be that way still. But for now he wanted to be lost.
A safe reminder of his sister he turned and moved towards their birth home.. Or was it that home he was looking for? Did he want to face his mother.. Or let his house die out with him. All questions that would have answers someday. But now.. Life was before him.
Or was it really life?

My Corrupted Prince Username: Ramenli Name of Prince: Akakios (Innocent, not evil) What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: Gray metal leg-guards. They appear to be more like jewelry with clever bat motifs, and look fragile despite their functionality.
Your Prompt: The evening she came to the castle it was like the world finally made sense. She stepped into the courtyard daintily, every movement, pose, and gesture giving off an air of grace, the type of simple elegance that was usually only found in exceptionally talented dancers. She was adorned with elaborate clothing in unusually dark shades and jewelry, made of a strange dark gray metal, darker than traditional silver. The outfit had one common theme, bats worked cleverly into the natural flow of the pieces. Akakios watched her waiting for him for several long moments before approaching her. "What brings you to my castle m'lady?" He asked respectfully.
She gave him a small smile, not actually showing her teeth. "Please, call me Lilith. I met one of your man-servants, and he requested that I present myself to you Prince Akakios." She dipped her head slightly in acknowledgement of his rank.
"It is a pleasure to meet you I am sure," he said, his face and tone making it obvious that he was quite enamored with her. "Please, stay here and rest. My servants will take care of you, and we can dine this evening."
Several days passed in which Akakios seemed to be in a happy daze. Lilith had a health condition and was allergic to the sunlight, and he found himself staying up late to watch the stars with her, and sleeping in later, adjusting to her schedule willingly. It was not until the second servant disappeared that his steward sought him out, but it was with the third disappearance that whispers began, and rumors flowed that the princess was cursed. After a day of this Akakios knew that he could no longer simply ignore the issue, and decided to question the mare.
The moon was but a pale sliver as they gazed up at it, their usual comfortable conversation marred by the nervousness he felt. "I loathe to bring this up my dear Lilith, but the servants have been talking, and I need to put their minds at rest. Do you have any information about the servants that have disappeared?"
Turning to face him she gave him a look of pure shock and innocence. "Oh Akakios! Surely you know I could have nothing to do with that matter."
He nodded, "that was my belief, I just had to be sure."
The next day a fourth servant vanished, and Akakios was forced into action. The guard was doubled, and he began making rounds himself, skulking through passages that only the royal family knew. However, it was not until two days later that he heard the pleas of the newest victim. He galloped toward the noise, but when he arrived it was only to find his steward, laying in a pool of his own blood. The trusted servant raised his head a fraction to look at his prince. "She...is a...demon..." he choked out before losing consciousness. And then the screams began.
Eyes wide he charged down the passage, scraping his flanks as he burst into the courtyard, and onto a scene of carnage. Lilith was there, and already several bodies were on the ground, and several more had wounds. She turned in tight little circles, somehow everywhere at once, fighting what should have been an impossible fight...and winning. With a neigh of defiance he ran towards her, hooves pounding the ground and watching in slow motion as she disabled yet another one of his servants. He engaged her, rearing up to slash at her with his hooves, but as he landed she snaked her head forward and bit his neck deeply, twin fangs entering his neck and causing him to let out a yell of pain. He struck at her, and used all of his battle techniques. He lashed out with hooves, he bit, and shouldered her from side to side, and finally began wearing her down.
And then she simply stopped resisting. He bit her again before backing up, bewildered to see that she was smirking, a look of satisfaction on her face. Blood dripped from his muzzle, and the metallic tang filled his mouth. "It is a success," she whispered, grinning wickedly. "I changed you."
"What are you" he demanded.
"A vampire," she responded, even as a spasm rippled through his body. "One who feasts on blood. And you my little fledgling are too."
Another spasm racked his body, but as it passed he took a step towards her, "I will destroy you."
"No, no I don't think you will. So I killed your little servants, but you and I both know they are just food. I can see it in your eyes, already the hunger is growing."
As she spoke more pain coursed through his body but she was right, a hunger had set into his stomach, and the once metallic taste had changed, changed into the most glorious flavor that he had ever tasted. A scent surrounded them, and he suddenly realized that it was coming from the bodies around them. Fangs began to elongate from his mouth, and when he finally looked up she was already gone, leaving behind the bodies, bits of her clothing and jewelry that had been ripped off of her in the fight, and a very, very hungry stallion.
The hunger swiftly changed to a need, and in a red haze he found himself reaching down, drawn to a feeble pulse in one of his servants. As his fangs slid into their jugular and they let out a pathetic last moan he felt a sense of overwhelming satisfaction, and blood filled his mouth, blood that he drank greedily before it stopped flowing and he began to search for more, the bloodlust overriding his other senses completely.
The next evening when he awoken it was in a pitch black room, but he had no trouble navigating it. Stepping outside he was assaulted by a horrendous stench, that of bodies left in the sun. He backed up until he hit a wall, staring in horror as the memories came flooding back. Memories of chasing down his beloved servants. Hilda, his nursemaid from when he had been a tiny colt. Sasha, the maid that liked to flirt but blushed fiercely if he so much as looked at her. His stomach began to heave and he dry-retched. He had done this. He was responsible.
He forced himself to go into the courtyard, forced himself to look at those he had slain. Those he had fed upon. His stomach rebelled over and over as he tried to move bodies. Eventually he came to where he had fought Lilith, and he gazed at the place, unseeing for a long while. The moonlight glinted on something and he stepped closer to find her leg guards, laying there from when they had come off in the battle. He forced himself to put them on, looking down at his own legs as if they were foreign objects when he was done. Looking up at the moon he swore to it, speaking a vow more important than a vow spoken at any wedding. "I will hunt her down. I will make her pay. Until I do this I will wear these, a mark of how I failed those who were like family to me." Tears coursed down his cheeks, leaving hot, haphazard trails on his blood-splattered pelt. "I will destroy her."

My Corrupted Prince Username: Kirowyn Love Name of Prince: Prince Adam What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: The cloak from the vampire princess as well as her crown. Each princess he kills he keeps a memento of tied to his tail sort of like a bunch of charms. Whether it be a ring, crown or other bauble. He keeps the cloak to remind himself of how he got into this position and to never trust another mare again. Your Prompt:
oooooThe Prince's heart was discontent. He had pretty much everything he could ever ask for - gold, loyal servants and a beautiful home. But something wasn't right - he couldn't bring himself to fully enjoy it. At first he couldn't figure out why... then one day as he was getting his daily wash, his steward asked, "What's wrong my liege? You have not been yourself these past days." "I'm not sure Humphrey. I just feel that there's something missing. Nothing makes me happy as it used to." Humphrey had been serving the Prince since he was a colt, and thought he knew the cause of his symptoms. "I think, what you need sire, is some company." He said as he poured a bucket of heated water to rinse off the Prince's suds. "Company?" Adam questioned; "I'm surrounded by many Soquili every day. Servants, subjects, courtiers... the Kingdom is more crowded than I would like." "You miscomprehend my meaning sire; what I mean is that you need a lady." Prince Adam looked up at his faithful servant and saw a knowing look in the old gaffer's eyes. He sat there, just looking, as it dawned on him that Humphrey just might be right. "Fetch me some supper Humphrey, I have some thinking to do."
oooooAs the Prince ate his meal of golden delicious apples and the finest oats, he came to realize that Humphrey was right on target. (As he almost always was.) He needed to find a mare who he could spend the rest of his life with. But how was he to find a suitable mare? There were, of course, attractive mares amongst the courtiers, but he had known them since he was a foal. He would have to ask Humphrey. He was afterall, like a father to Adam. His parents had died when he was still in his basket... the man had raised him and taught him everything he knew.
oooooAfter some discussion with Humphrey, Adam learned that there were several different lands with suitable matches for him. Never having journeyed away from home before, he decided to go to the farthest kingdom from his own. That way if he was unsuccessful he could stop at other kingdoms on his way back home. It was decided then - he would go to Soqivania to see what the princess there was like. His steward had advised him that the Soquili there were rumored to be strange, but he wasn't too concerned with that; he was just excited to go on his first real adventure! He wished that Humphrey could go with him, but he was the only one he could leave behind to take care of the castle in his stead.
oooooAfter getting matters settled at the castle and bidding his steward farewell, the Prince set out with two of the royal guards in haste. It took them a whole season to finally reach their destination; they hadn't run into anything out of the ordinary on their travels. Adam had been expecting to run into some sort of dangerous situation, but it simply never came. It was almost dark when they reached the Kingdom, so the troupe stopped for the night at an inn in the town.
ooooo"Vell, you got here just in time." A crotchety old stallion said, eyeing them as they walked through the door. What a creep, Adam thought to himself. Shrugging it off, he continued to the counter and paid for two rooms. "Right dis vay sire." The innkeeper let them to their rooms. The Prince had a weird feeling about the stallion, but kept it to himself for now. After all, he was in a strange land with customs different from his own. The next morning he got up with the sunrise, his guards up even before that. The looked very tired - and didn't say anything to him when he greeted them. After a quick (and thankfully peaceful - the innkeeper was nowhere to be found) breakfast, he headed out with his companions towards the castle.
oooooThe town could only be described as eery. There weren't any Soquili to be seen. The only sounds was the crows cawing from rooftops. Where is everyone? The Prince thought to himself. He asked his guards whether the town was making them feel uneasy as well, but they replied that there had to be some sort of explanation for it and he might find out at the castle. He quickened his pace, not noticing the new sinister look in their eyes and arrived there post haste. There were no guards at the door. Where were they? Did the castle not post any? As he was pondering, the door swung open seemingly by itself, and he heard a soft sweet voice say, "Come in." Adam hesitated at first, not wanting to trust the innocent sounding voice. He looked to his guards for some indication of what he should do. Neither of them seemed to be bothered in the least. Trusting their judgement better than his own, since this was his first venture away from home, he headed inside. As he passed the threshold, he looked behind him, not hearing the usual sound of his guards following him. He was just in time to see their rather odd smiles as the doors closed him inside.
oooooHis heart was thudding in his chest. He knew this didn't feel right - he should have trusted his own instincts. What had happened to his guards? Had they turned on him? He looked around - he wasn't in any immediate danger he could see. He tried to get back out the door, but it wouldn't open. "Dis vay..." A voice called, just off in another room. It was that same soft melodic voice. "I need your help." Was someone else trapped in here too? Not hesitating in the least now that he knew a damsel might be in distress, he entered the room adjoining to see what was the matter. The room was dark, and as he was waiting for his eyes to adjust, he was suddenly knocked to the ground by something. He felt unimaginable pain in his neck, and then passed out.
oooooWhen he came to, he was in an elaborate bedroom, much like his own. He felt a little dizzy, but mostly thirsty. Then he started to remember what had taken place. He was not in his own castle. He had been ambushed. There was also possibly a mare in distress that he failed to save. A light cough permeated his thoughts. He looked up to see a beautiful princess looking at him eagerly. She had a dark curly mane with a delicate golden crown adorning it, green eyes and was wearing a red cloak lined with tiny bells. "Can I help you my lady?" He asked, not knowing what else to say. She laughed - it was a beautiful sound. "You already have. But before we speak any further, I'm sure you'll want something to drink." He nodded. "Beside your bed you'll find something to your liking then." He looked down, and sure enough there was a bucket of some type of liquid. He began to drink eagerly, not caring much about his manners - the scent of it was delicious enough to drive him mad. He finished the whole bucket, and looked back to the mare. "So what is it that I have assisted you with, my lady?" She laughed again, teasingly. "I needed some company. When I heard of your arrival, I knew you would be the perfect subject. We're going to have such fun together!" As she smiled at him, he noticed her strange teeth. He was horrified. "Your teeth!" was all he could manage to get out. The lady laughed again. "Oh that," she said lightly, "I'm a vampire. Now you are too." Upon hearing this, something in the stallion snapped. He had heard of vampires before - terrifying stories Humphrey would tell him when he was a foal, but he had never truly believed them. He flew across the room in a rage, and killed the mare in short order.
oooooHe hated himself now. But there was something he hated even more. Princesses. He vowed to himself to kill every last one of them. He didn't know if he would ever be able to return home. He would first have to find out something of his own nature. That would be easy enough to do on his way home. He had a couple of stops to make...

My Corrupted Prince Username: Caitlyn Hellstorm Name of Prince: Prince Aeron What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: silver chain necklace with black rose pendant, a small black fluffy kitten, a crown with moonstone and sapphires, tattered rich purple sash draped over his back (not too big) with golden or silver bat design on it Your Prompt: Prince Aeron grew up in a small royal family consisting parents and one sister that oversaw the huge herd of vampires and he was groomed to take over the herd when he becomes a stallion. As he grew up to become a handsome and reckless young stallion, his parents have been pressuring him to find a fitting mate so he could provide the kingdom a proper heir. He resisted the idea of finding a mate for many months and his parents' patience finally ran out after they watched their son womanize his way through the female herd members' hearts and making enemies with mates of the said females. They approached their son one evening when he was standing on top of the bluff over seeing the kingdom lands, thinking about things.
"Aeron, we need to talk about you finding a mate." Father rumbled, announcing his presence to Aeron as he eyes his son turns toward them with an inquisitive quirk of eyebrow. "We have found a fitting mate that would provide you with a fitting heir to the kingdom. I would like you to meet her, your mother is bringing her here." He eyes his son with a warning glint because he knows that Aeron would try to argue with him about this since he's fully aware of Aeron's passion for his freedom. "Your mother will be here shortly with your new mate. Her name is Morana. Her family is part of a kingdom right next to ours. This union will make this kingdom and their kingdom more stronger." He smiles faintly at his son as he softly says, "You remind me so much of myself. I sincerely think Morana will be your second half like your mother is mine. Please give her a chance, aye?"
Aeron decided to retreat to his favorite spot which is the bluff that oversees the kingdom and to think on things since his parents have been pressuring him to find a mate for very long time. "Hello father.." He greets his father as he offers his father a faint smile since he was tired tonight to be his usual cocky and arrogant self. His father dropped a bomb on him and informed him that they arranged for a female to come over to be his mate and help him rule the kingdom so his parents could retire to a peaceful life. His eyes flashes little bit with irritation as he wisely kept his mouth shut. "I have heard of Morana." He says in clipped tone as he shakes his head little bit. "I will try my best to give her a chance but I would rather if you let me find a mate on my own terms, father." Aeron softly says as he looked past his father's body to see a vision that will remains with him for rest of his life. "Princess..." He says with a stunned little smile as he bows little bit to his father. "I certainly hope this is Princess Morana. I would forgive you and Mother in heartbeat if this is Morana." He stated to his father and got an answer he wanted to hear. This is Princess Morana!
He approaches a white mare with wild bright red curly mane and tail with swirling ice blue eyes. "I am Prince Aeron. Its my pleasure to meet you, Princess Morana. How are you doing tonight, dear? Can I interest you in a walk through the garden? I hear the flowers are beautiful under this red moonlight." Aeron bows deeply in front of the aloof mare and flashes her his most charming smile.
~~~
"Mama. I really don't want to go. I hear that Prince Aeron is a womanizing chauvinistic pig. I will NOT get along with him. I don't care if our kingdom is going to be at odds with his kingdom. I will not be mated to him!" Morana ranted as she threw a tantrum in front of her parents. But weeks passed by, the parents managed to wear Morana down and got her to promise to journey to the kingdom just to meet Aeron and give him a chance. Morana glowered at them one evening as her father draped the 'wedding' gift which is a rich purple sash with silvery or gold bat design on it "I will see you in few days." She gritted the words out as she set off on her journey to the kingdom.
Morana arrived at the kingdom and got promptly escorted to the bluff by Aeron's mother so she forced herself to make a small chatter with apparently soft-spoken mare. She froze as she sees Aeron standing there with his father and she had to blink few times to make sure she wasn't dreaming because she visualized Aeron as this fat stallion that expected everything to be handed to him on silver platter. She tightens her jaws as she forces herself to appear aloof as the mother announces their presence and she struggled not to react when she saw Aeron's eyes light up and his eagerness to get to her. "Hello, Prince Aeron." She says in soft, dulcet voice after he introduced himself and she gives him a small smile. "I am doing fine and you? I would like to take a walk in the garden if you would show me where I can go to get a drink, I am quite thirsty...."
~~
A few months have passed by and the romance between Prince Aeron and Princess Morana haven't diminished. Princess Morana have learned how to love Prince Aeron instead of resenting him for being a 'womanizing chauvinistic pig' like she screamed at her parents before she made that fateful journey to Aeron's kingdom. Both kingdoms have acknowledged Morana and Aeron as a mated pair and future leaders of both kingdoms. Aeron felt like he could walk on the water and do whatever he want as long as he have his love Morana by his side but that feeling shattered one night.
Morana and Aeron decided to go hunting in the woodland near their new large kingdom so they could steal some private time together without having their subjects giggling and watching them. They suddenly got ambushed by a small group of skinwalkers and they went directly for Morana. Aeron fought like a madman, trying to save his mate whom is fighting like crazy for her life but one skinwalker distracted him by attacking him. Snarling, Aeron finally loses himself in the bloodlust he have been trying to keep in tight control and rips the skinwalker's throat out then attacked the group that was ripping Morana's body apart. After he was able to chase the skinwalkers away, he stood over Morana's body and shrieked his fury and agony for everybody to hear. Morana's screams of fury and pain etched their way into his brain and soul and it torments him every single day.
For the next few weeks, Aeron walks around the kingdom with a tattered sash on his back and snarling at everybody. He became a killing machine, killing everything he sees when he goes out hunting. On one fateful night, he was on his weekly killing frenzy and in middle of ripping a deer's throat out, he heard singing that could rival Morana's singing. He drops the deer corpse and followed the singing. He saw a pale blue mare with a small black fluffy kitty cuddling with each other near the river and the mare was singing. "Hello. What are you doing here?" Aeron curtly says as he eyes the kitten whom simply stared at him with big golden eyes.
The mare looks up at him and smiles. "Just enjoying the life. Enjoying what Goddess Epona gave us." She replies to the prince. She stood up with a small make-shift pouch where the kitten is curled up in and looks at him. "Prince Aeron. I am just a princess from a kingdom far away from here. I am just here to take a break. Can I please stay in your kingdom for awhile? I apologize if my singing annoys you." She murmurs softly but she didn't divert her eyes like others would.
Aeron blinks and stares at the mare then the swirling of his eyes calmed down little bit. He closes his eyes in almost defeat as he murmurs softly to the mare. "Please keep singing. It brings peace to my heart. And yes.. you can stay" He opens his eyes and looks at the mare whom is plain in appearance but her voice is just like a slice of paradise for him. The mare looks pleased as she settles down next to Aeron and began to sing once again while the kitten bats and plays with Aeron's mane.
For few days to a week, Aeron's parents started to suspect something because Aeron disappears without a word so they had someone follow Aeron to see where he have been going every night. The stallion found Aeron and the princess together and forced them to come with him to face the King and Queen. The soldier's efforts was met with vehement resistance from Prince Aeron. The soldier went back to the King and Queen and got a grim order from them to kill the princess to trigger Aeron's bloodlust once again so he will come back to them.
A small group of vampires ambushed Prince and his princess at the river where they met and the bloody battle ensued. Three soldiers had to herd Aeron away so rest of others could finish the job. "Please!! Aeron!!" The princess cries out as she fought to stay alive. "Take care of our cat!" She screamed as they overwhelmed her and her last words to Aeron was "I love you!" before she died. The soldiers quickly retreated into the shadows and fled for their lives toward the kingdom. Aeron stumbles toward the body of another love he lost and his body starts to trembles with barely contained rage. The fluffy black cat was in the trees with the crown around her neck and she hisses when she sensed Aeron's fury emanating from him in waves. "Salem..." He looks up at his new pet as he gingerly picks up the satchel. "Come on..." Aeron murmurs as the cat scrambled into the satchel after letting the crown fall on top of his head.
The tension between Aeron and his parents heightened as he discovered what they have done. They ordered his second princess to be killed because they didn't like her family. Only thing that kept Aeron from laying waste to everything he have known is his beloved sister and her damned tears. "Brother, please don't. They just meant well. They wanted you to be happy." She would cry out to Aeron and appeal to his love for her. The parents tried one last ditch effort to appease their estranged son by bringing in an unicorn vampire princess from a kingdom across The Great Lake.
The unicorn vampire princess is a black mare with pure silver mane that is coiled on top of her head with some of it falling down her neck and her eyes are purely white indicating that she's blind. With her, a small group of 'servants' came to assist her with whatever she needs help with. It is fortunate that she wasn't able to see the outraged look on Aeron's face when he first saw her but she eventually won him over with her charms and stories about faraway kingdoms.
One by one, servants began to disappear because Aeron couldn't control his blood lust any longer since he forgotten how to leash it in. He would lead them away with promises of passionate nights then rip their throats out and drink their blood deeply. After all of the servants are gone, the princess immediately noticed that she is completely alone and she turns her head toward the direction where Aeron is lurking due to his heavy breathing. "Aeron.. before you do kill me, just take this necklace. I love you, it might not be a romantic love but in our kingdoms' eyes, we are a mated pair." She calmly says and takes a tentative step forward toward the sudden inward intake of air sound. "My life is yours to do whatever you want to do." She reaches her muzzle out and to her luck, nuzzled Aeron's face.
Aeron's eyes is swirling with bloodlust as he watches his new mate. He knows that he does love this one but he is too far gone to be a proper mate to this princess and he would be doing everybody a favor by killing her. "Wish granted." He rasped the words out as he takes the necklace from her neck just before he sinks his fangs in, and drained the princess dry. The princess' only struggle is to breathe and she gasped as the light dims from her eyes, she collapsed against Aeron's body dying. Aeron fiddled around with the necklace before he found a way to wear it and he watched the princess struggle to breathe before the death knell rattles through her throat.
His swirling eyes met Salem's trusting eyes and only thing he told the cat is "Stay here. I will be back." Aeron went out and laid waste to the entire kingdom, avenging every princesses' death. The last soquili he killed was his father and he didn't kill him quick like others. He snarled in his father's face as he blames him for ruining his life by pressuring him too fast and forcing him to grow up too soon. Aeron drained his father dry and left his dry husk behind while he walks toward the border with his fluffy black cat Salem curled up in the satchel, leaving everything he ever known behind. Only things that reminds him of his old life is the tattered sash, crown that is hanging haphazardly on his head, a black rose pendant hanging from golden necklace and this faithful companion that is purring away against his body.
My Corrupted Prince Username: elfstar89 Name of Prince: Chandrakant What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: red gold shin guards on all four legs set with moonstones, intricate red gold choker-collar and earring on visible ear set with moonstones, red silk wrapped around his body with moon motifs and black tassels at the edge, bloodied bandage around his throat over the bite marks and under the choker-collar, small and intricate red gold crown decorated with moonstones on the ground Your Prompt: The prince came with his companions within the first few days to a dark castle overgrown with roses. A kalona was waiting for him at the entrance, which he defeated handily. Bloodied, but fiercely proud in his feat of ridding the castle and its potential fair princess from such a horror, he proceeded toward the castle, leaving his servants outside to wait for him and any princess residing inside. Impending sunset darkened the already gloomy fortress, but it was tidy enough inside to explore quite readily...though...if this was the fairy tale the prince was expecting...there were no servants, asleep or otherwise, anywhere nearby. Inside a lightless room, on a bower hung with red and black silks and black and red roses, she lay, this castle's princess. She lay as if asleep, in gold, red and black silks, and rubies and jet. As the sun sank below the horizon, the prince lowered his head to land a kiss on her lips.
The princess raised her head, fluttering her painted eyelids delicately. Blinking, she looked around. "Who are you?" she asked in confusion. "How did you get in here?"
The prince smiled. "I am Chandrakant, Prince of the Moon Kingdom to the south of yours, fair princess. As for the kalona at the gates, I vanquished it for you," he said proudly. Things were going right again...or so he thought.
The princess' eyes narrowed in fury. "You did WHAT?! How DARE you? What were you thinking, you royal idiot?"
The prince held down a confused and irritated retort. That wasn't fair to the poor formerly enchanted princess. "The kalona held you prisoner in an enchanted sleep, so I defeated it so that I might wake you up and rescue you. That's how the fairy tale goes," he added helpfully.
The princess curled her lips. "Oh, does it?" she asked, suddenly sweet. "Well, close your eyes so I can give my prince his kiss in thanks...."
When he closed his eyes, he held as still as possible. However, rather than a peck on the lips, he felt something puncture his throat. Eyes shooting open, his icy blue eyes wildly looked around and down...to see his princess sinking fangs into his throat. He screamed and reared, breaking her hold on his throat roughly. Backing away, he stared at her in horror. "What have you done?" he asked hoarsely.
The princess smiled cruelly. "I followed the demands of the story. For waking up the princess, the princess gave you the kiss that will make you hers forever...one of hers forever, anyway. You see, this isn't that fairy tale; this is another fairy tale in which the foolish prince defeats the princess' pet and as a reward gets turned into a monster. You said you were the Prince of the Moon Kingdom? Well, now you are truly the Prince of the Moon Kingdom, for you, foolish and accursed prince, are now a vampire." She laughed cruelly. "Unfortunately, you disgust and offend your princess, so you are twice cursed, to forever wander, looking for a princess who can love a monster like you, for if you ever love anyone, you will want them so dearly that you may drink them dry of their lifeblood. You are thrice cursed, as the Moon Kingdom will never accept a bloodthirsty prince who eats his subjects, not unless he has a permanent victim who offers him their blood. As you are one of mine, a vampire prince, my servants will furnish you with such garb as befits the monstrous Prince of the heavenly Moon Kingdom." She laughed terribly and servants appeared, carrying their mistress' gifts for the thrice-cursed prince.
After being dressed as befitting him, the prince trudged out, feeling hollow. When his servants saw him, they almost rejoiced...but they saw that he'd changed. Those things he wore weren't his, he now sported a pair of fangs protruding from his delicate white muzzle, and he also was bleeding from his throat, a bandage wrapped about it. They watched in horror as he approached them, alone and beaten down. Finally, the eldest spoke. "My prince, what has happened to you?"
The prince looked up and laughed, a harsh, despairing sound, rather than his usual kind laugh. "I picked the wrong castle. The kalona was the princess' valued servant, and the princess was a vampiress. I am now cursed. I release you all from my service," he said as the first pangs of the desire to drink blood overcame him. The thoughts of grass were still good to him, but blood appealed, too, and so did meat. It fully hit home at this juncture that he could not go home. The folk of the Moon Kingdom would never accept a vampiric prince, no matter how much they loved him.
The servants looked to each other, finally understanding. There were looks of horror and pity and they huddled together, discussing what was to be done now. At length, they turned back to their accursed prince. "Your highness, if there is any way we can ease your suffering and return you to the Moon Kingdom, we will lay down our lives to do so. We have known you all your life and know that, whatever happens, you are no true monster, and that the folk of the Moon Kingdom love you dearly."
The prince looked up in shock. "You will help me? Even at the potential cost of your lives?" When they nodded, he smiled ruefully. "Then please help me. I need a drink of blood, and then we need to keep searching for her, my princess. Once I find someone I love who loves and accepts me in return, monster as I am, I will be able to return home without being a danger to my folk."
The eldest of the servants smiled and nodded, stepping forward. "Then, prince, take a little of my blood, so that we may find the strength and will to move on and find your princess, whoever and wherever she may be."
My Corrupted Prince Username: LOLTERNAIVE Name of Prince: Orpheus What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: Physical items he has are stars sprinkled in his hair and a lantern filled with light from the moon - he holds this in his mouth. And item that can't be seen is darkness. Basically no light shines on or around him. ReferenceYour Prompt: Orpheus had finally come to the Kingdom of Night. Three Princesses ruled here, in three different castles and he was certain one of them would be his future bride. He did not tell anyone that he was seeking a bride, as he felt it would interfere and cause complications. He simply told the King and Queen that he needed a place to stay to rest. They happily obliged and allowed him to introduce himself to their daughters. The first daughter he met was the youngest, the Princess of Stars. She was a tiny thing, very delicate and moved with such grace it appeared she was gliding. She was incredibly kind and gentle, always offering coins and food to those who were less fortunate. She even stepped out of the way of small insects and flowers, not wanting to tred upon them. Orpheus believed her kindness to be an admirable quality. It was hard to be so kind when you're ruling, especially in this day and age. However, despite that, she was very young and very naive. She was also very submissive, always agreeing to whatever he suggested. The whole time he was with her she made not one suggestion or one objection. Orpheus knew this was not the Queen for him and he bid her farewell. Before he left, she bestowed upon him a gift of stars, sprinkling them in his hair. "So that you always have a star to wish upon, even in the darkest of darks." She said as the final star settled in his mane. The second princess was that of the Moon. She was very intelligent and confident, able to hold a conversation with him and state her own opinion without fear. However, she was constantly trying to dominate him, always challenging everything he did and said. While he admired her wits, he could not have a Queen that was constantly trying to overpower him. Orpheus knew that this Princess could also not be his Queen. Like her younger sister, the Princess granted him a gift. A lantern that glowed with a light that could even be seen during the day. It was beautiful. "So you always have light, even in the darkest of times," she explained before leaving. Orpheus set off to meet the final princess - the Princess of Night's Darkness. She was breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly powerful and he shivered. Such a woman would make an excellent queen. At least she would were it not for her dark heart. The Princess was cruel and merciless, dealing out harsh punishments for the smallest crimes. A man was sentenced to death for stepping in front of her carriage. Out of all the princesses, Opheus knew this one would make the worst Queen. He made conversation with her, and turned a blind eye to her cruelty until he deemed he had spent enough time with her and he bid her farewell. As he was leaving, the Princess stopped him and spoke. "I know why you're really here, Prince. I understand why one would deem my sister's a bad choice for a Queen, but why me?"Orpheus turned to the Queen and looked at her, almost shocked that she could believe herself to be above her sisters simply because of her beauty and power. He shook his head. "You are all very different, your sisters. You balance each other out, I cannot take one without risking your kingdom or taking all three of you. And if I may speak honestly, had I no choice, you would be my last option. I would rather have a weak, soft spoken or power-hungry Queen than one with a dark heart."The Princess said nothing though her face was twisted into an ugly portrait of rage and hate. When she finally spoke, she said to him with a smirk. "I will give you a gift, as my sister's did."As the final word left her mouth, it grew dark around Orpheus, as if he were standing in the middle of a field in the middle of the night. Candles flickered around him but provided him no light. "I give you this gift, so you will always have darkness even in the brightest lights. Let my sister's be your light, if they are so worthy."
The Princess turned and left, leaving the Prince on his own. He did not move for a while, taking in the situation. He suddenly felt cold and very lonely, despite the fact that his servants surrounded him. The Prince returned to his Kingdom and stopped searching for a bride. He began to lock himself away during the day for he did not wish to see the light that was taken from him. The stars and the moon were his only source of light now and he cherished the gifts he was given as if they were his own life.
My Corrupted Prince Username: ~Kiana_Nala~ Name of Prince: Edgar What memento/mementos does he have from princess/es: A tattered bloodstained veil and a dead bouquet of flowers (roses or tiger lily's preferred but up to you). Your Prompt: Once upon a time, there lived handsome and well beloved prince who was to be king of the Hakanu lands in which he originally came from. However, in order to become the king when his father passed on to the spirit realm he needed to marry a princess. The prince set off on his journey for a princess, one that he could bring back to his herd and hopefully make his queen one day when he became king. Before leaving his father had told him of all the kingdoms in which they had young mares for the charming prince Edgar and where to find them. Although, even with his fathers directions the prince still took two months to reach the first herd kingdom. Upon arriving Edgar learned that the princess Ulaliyai had just gotten engaged to a lovely young stallion who was not of noble blood but just a month ago. The prince continued on his way to the next kingdom.
Luckily the next herd was not more then a couple day's journey away and Edgar made it there in a adequate amount of time. However, upon seeing the princess the prince kindly declined as she appeared to be just like any other mare in looks. While the prince was not usually one to boast on beauty, when looking for his bride he had told his father he wanted a mare who was beautiful, kind hearted, yet knew how to make her own decisions. This mare possessed none of those qualities and in fact had quite a weak resolve. Edgar kindly told the princess that he would take a red ribbon from her to remind him of her on his journey and if he should grow to miss her he would return and give her another chance. However, he never came back for her. Lucky her.
The next kingdom he came upon he found a princess that had all the qualities he was looking for. Her kingdom was in shambles, their herd lands dying all around them. The princess was quick to fall for the prince and Edgar was quick to fall for her as well. The charming prince stayed and courted the princess, whose name was Yalana for about four months. Finally though they decided it was time for the courting to end and the marriage and life together to begin. On their wedding day the prince waited patiently in the last surviving field the kingdom had which was a field of beautiful flowers. As he waited for his princess to be adorned for their wedding day he began to feel rather odd, like something was taking over his body. Turning his head away from everyone that was waiting to see the wedding, he felt a sharp pain in his mouth. Cautiously he opened his mouth and let his tongue trace what seemed to be fangs. Edgar became mortified at was happening to him. It was then he realized that he had not eaten in about seven months when he began his journey. The princesses and prospect of marriage had blinded him to his true nature that needed and longed for blood. As he turned himself back around to face his bride he closed his mouth as tight as he could.
Speeding through the vows of trust as quickly as he could he hoped Yalana would take the hint to do the same. However, she took her sweet time and paid little attention to the signs she was given. That was when his true nature came out. "You vow to be by my side for the rest of eternity do you? Well let's test just how strong your faith is in me." Edgar grinned as he looked at her. His fangs hung from his mouth like a pair of daggers awaiting the taste of blood. The princess who was beyond afraid at that moment tried her best to keep in her mind the prince she had fallen in love with over the months but found herself still very afraid of him. "You're a monster." She said with tears in her eyes. "Why yes my dear Yalana I am a monster. Glad you could that as well." He replied as he turned his back to her. "You're a worthless mare of a dying kingdom. I'll never know what I saw in you." He said grudgingly. As he started to walk off the mare stopped him. "You're a monster, but I still love you." Yalana said faithfully with a light smile, hoping he would accept what she could give at that moment. "Oh really?" He said, swirling around to gaze upon his bride. "Then if you have that much faith in me why don't we test it? Let me feed from you. If you have faith in me you won't fight back. If you don't, well then what a shame." He said simply. The mare beyond afraid for her life agreed in hopes that she could hold back whatever convictions she had before now. As the charming prince Edgar dug his fangs into her neck she began to scream, cry and kick at him to stop. It was then that she sealed her fate. Edgar didn't stop feeding from her until her body grew lifeless. His more demonic side had fed off her fear and thus he was unable to stop himself from killing her. As her family and herd members ran away in fear Edgar stood over his dead bride with tears in his eyes. "If only you had truly loved and trusted me. You would have lived." He said, taking from her her now bloody and tattered veil and a few of the flowers from the field. As he walked away from the scene his head hung low in shame. It was then that the stallion decided he needed to test mares in the future like this and with the story of how lost his first love. If they should pass he would love and protect them forever. If not, well he hoped that he would be able to hold himself back as they ran away. . .
And so the legend goes that the once charming prince Edgar lurks in the dark depths of the forest in search of a princess who will accept and love him for who and what he is. It is said that if a mare was to accept him that he would no longer require the taste of blood, but it is after all just a story.
