I've been asking quiet a few of my friends this question. And yes i know because of Muammar Gaddafi, but i've been hearing around that it wasn't because of what he did to the peoples but because Gaddafi wouldn't give them there oil so they went into Libya and said Gaddafi had done all these terrible things so they had a reason to invade Libya...
This is just my opinion... I'd love some come back of what you think about my opinion!

Because Gaddafi supplied the EU with oil and nobody liked him. So NATO decided to kill him.

The media report is "to take out a tyrannical dictator abusing his citizens."
The alternative reports vary as widely as from "evil tyrannical dictator" all the way to "A martyr who stood up to OPEC, IMF, and the UN by demanding a higher share value of the oil extracted, printing of debt free currency to the public used for public services, and the rapid increase in Lybia's economic and militaristic competitiveness against the Angelo status-quo"
I'm personally going to buy some books he authored, delve more into his history and get to know more about who he is, what he has done. And form my own opinions. Because the reports out of Lybia, including live videos shows most citizens had no idea why their hospitals and schools were being bombed, and picked up guns to defend their leader. And also a several minute long video of YouTube of him pumping his arms constantly being surrounded by his friends driving through city streets, and the citizens on the streets joining in the enthusiasm is a bit telling. Unlike the US footage in small locations showing places having been captured and people celebrating within the frame of a camera's view, he was doing something that would require far more planning that doesn't have any message by itself. It's more like a parade.

There was finally a rebellion that was capable of doing what it has, and the United States and our allies took it as an opportunity to 1, remove a horrible human being from power. Notice how persecuting Christians has sky rocketed in Egypt? These dictators were keeping those people under control. And actually keeping peace with Israel. Now that these guys are out nothings holding back the democracy of a muslim ran country from voting to fulfill their faith and attack Israel.

Iran wouldn't risk getting NATO involved in a war with Israel 5. Turkey is a part of NATO so it can't attack Israel.

If a democratically elected government is muslim, so be it. That's the idea of democracy, and what the United States ought to be spreading. That every nation can be what it wants to be, so long as it is democratically set in place. Also, Egypt does not equal Libya. The current government has a very good reason to be friendly to the United States, while Egypt is probably in for some trouble down the line. Second, Libya will not attack Israel in the near future. They can't. The transitional government has to solidify its power, and that will take a long time and a lot of hard work. Thirdly, Israel can defend itself. You'd have to be full blown retard to try attacking them when your don't even control your own land yet.

Since when does Libya not have any vehicles and a weak army?  Them there are some fast moving camels with headlights. And military? Gadhafi had his nuclear arms dismantled by personal choice to reconcile with the UN in order to not be labeled as a teorrist nation. Lets at least put in 5 minutes of research rather than making assumptions based off of our stereotypes of 2nd and 3rd world poor nations.

You mean those unarmored vehicles with machine guns attached to them? Those won't work. Seriously. I don't understand this obsession with destroying Israel. It never worked in the past; what makes you think it'll work now? Especially when the NTC couldn't stand toe to toe with an army that was decimated by airpower that suffered no casualties?
