Um...exactly what you think it is. Group of characters sitting in a room playing truth or dare because someone didn't do a very good job of planning a Halloween party.

A pickup truck broke down in front of the house they were at. Two guys, Arell and C.J. got out of the truck.
"Man, dis sucks! How we gonna get to de arm wrestlin' contest! Dis sucks!" the Cajun growled as he took a swig of triple-x whiskey.
"Dude, I'm surprised that Crystal let you out of the HOUSE after the last time we did a guys' night out." C.J. joked as he got to the door. "Don't worry, I'll see if these guys got a tire pump." he said and knocked on the door.

After a moment, a small set of locks clacked open and the door swung open. A woman with short dark brown hair and a store bought vampire costume answered the door. Alex blinked a the face she was met with, then frowned a bit having not recognized him.
"You're not here for the 'party', are you?" she asked.
"We're in the middle of Freddy vs Jason!" someone from inside called out. "Then the Lady in the Water. It's not bloody but the grass dogs are scary as hell! And the monkeys!"
Alex rolled her eyes and looked back at the man.

C.J. smiled, putting on the charm. "Hi, I was wondering if you had . . . a . . . pump . . . wait, did that guy just say Freddy Vs. Jason?" the younger man asked. "Great costume by the way."
"Hey, wait, I think I got an invite somewhere in my . . . " Arell said, fumbling through his pockets. "Wait, dat was tonight?!?" the big Cajun asked.

Alex smiled, flashing her fangs. "Yep. It's one of the only things going on right now." she replied after the movie bit.
"There are games!" the voice called back.
"Bobbing for apples with three...rather, two people?" she called back.
"....it's a game."
Alex shook her head and looked back at the man. "Yeah, we were having that party tonight. Not really much of one though. Just me, my friend, and the host who...totally went all out on preparing for the party." she replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Well that's alright, I guess since we're here, mind if we come in? I got pizza money an' all that." C.J. asked, relying on his wits.
"Man, I forgot dat was tonight, I got de message on my facebook account . . . or am I thinkin' of somethin' else." Arell mused.
"You have one of those?" C.J. asked, surprised and then focused back on Alex who revealed fangs. Woah! Lesson learned, don't get bit! he thought Then again, it IS Halloween!

Alex gave him an appreciative smile. "Pizza...would be fantastic." she replied.
"I have food!" the voice called defensively.
"Milk, candy, and sardines with crackers are not the best party favors." Alex called back, taking a step away from the door to let the other men inside.
Past the doorway, were some Halloween themed decorations strung over the walls and ceiling. A table with a punch bowel filled with milk, candy, and crackers with sardines on a tray. There was a large open area in the middle of the room, and a large tv and couches set up at the other end of the room.

Arell and C.J. walked into the room. "I'll go ahead an' call it in in a bit." C.J. said with a smile. Arell looked around. "Dis is a nice place! Y'sho' Crystal ain't gonna mind?" the big Cajun asked.
"Dude, you need to relax, man. What could hurt wit' one li'l night out?" C.J. asked as he got a good whiff of the sardines. "At least the Candy's good." he said with a smile.

Alex smiled. "It's all we've been eating so far. Goes alright with the milk." she said, then gestured over to the circle of couches around the tv. "And that's....about all there is to do right now. Bobbing for apples. Turn into a mummy with toilet paper. We did have music but...monster mash is the only song on the cd."

Arell smirked. "One a' dem days where I shoulda brought my Rob Zombie CD." the Cajun said as C.J. smiled, popping a piece of candy.
"I dunno, how 'bout Truth or Dare or something?" C.J. asked.

"Sounds like fun. What do you guys think?" Alex asked, turning towards the couches.
"Movie's over anyway." the voice called back.
A black cat lept onto the top of the sofa and bounced down across the floor. "I suppose it would be good to take a break from the movies for a while." C.C. said as he walked up towards him.
"Sounds good to me." another voice called out from behind the couch. Sapphire rolled her lets off the couch and stood. Her hair up with a webbed veil hanging from the back, matching cape and gloves, and a long dark blue dress.

"Wow, fer once, one of our ideas gonna work!" Arell said with a smile, then realizing C.J. was in a stupor. "C.J.? You alright?"
"Yeah man . . . everything's groooooovy." C.J. said, with a slight blush, surprised and infatuated with Sapph until Arell conked him over the head.
"OWW! Man, what was that for?!?" C.J. asked.
"You spaced out for a minute, now we gon' play Truth or Dare or naw?" the big Cajun asked.

"Sure." Alex replied. "Do we all just want to sit around on the floor or bring the couches around - " she began, before an explosion of black smoke surrounding the group interrupted her. As the smoke cleared, new chairs and sofas were found circling them.
".....this area...never mind."
"Sofas are comfier than the floor. And there's plenty of room for someone to do something on the dance floor if they need space." the cat said as he hoped up onto one of the single sofas.
"Alright then." Alex said as she sat down in one of the sofas. "How do we want to start this then? Coin toss? An intense round of rock paper scissors?" she said as Sapphire sat down on the couch beside her. Sapphire leaned against the armrest and looked curiously towards C.J.

Another black cat with a white splotch on his brow peeked into the house through the open door and preceded to walk right in. He strolled over by Arell and looked up at him.
"I thought you were going to an arm-wrestling event.... Wait till I tell Crystal about this one." Artemis laughed a bit and then rubbed up on Arell's leg, purring.

"It's kinda funny. Dat pickup truck had a flat tire conveniently in front of de house. We'll get around t' fixing it." he said with a smile as the couches as C.J. jumped.
"Talkin' cats, movin' couches, if this wasn't Halloween, I'd swear I was dreaming." he said as he sat down on one of the couches, Arell taking time to pet Artemis.
