The Beginning
Zihark was born into a rich and powerful family. His family was well known throwout the land of Japan. While his family continued to grow stronger and stronger people began to fear that they may use their power for evil. Due to this suspicsion a group of lords from many different familys got together and hired a band of mercenaries to kill his entire family. When they assulted the household the family tried to fight of the assulters but failed to due so in the end. Zihark and his childhood lover where forced into the hidden underground passages. The two being at the age of fifteen ran together holding hands as they knew everything they had ever loved was now gone. As they continued to run they came into the opening of a cave. The next thing Zihark heard was a sharp scream as he turned to see his lover drop to her knees as five kunai like blade stuck out of her back. He saw the one man walking towards him with a grin on his face. Zihark looked around him and ran trying to find something he could use as a weapon to fight of the assalent. He found two swords laying under a rock. He grabbed both of the swords and quickly drew one, as he drew the sword a flame bursted out of the sword and he felt a new sensation flowing over his body and he couldnt help but smile as he leaped at the man and both began in a trading blows, they would take turns swinging and blocking each attack that was thrown at each other. In the end Zihark jumped back a step then gripped the sword with both hands as he sprung forward with the sword low to the ground. He made a swing upwards with it slashing the man across the chest. Due to the sword being covered with a black fire it caused the man to yell out in pain as he dropped to the ground holding onto his chest as he felt the fire burning away at the skin where he was cut. Zihark ran over to his lover as he dropped to his knees crying out as he began to take in all the pain of losing all of his family, friends and everyone he every cared about was ripped away from him in a single moment. And at that moment he vowed to find the man who did this to his family. "Never admit defeat and ask for a quick death! Die first, then admit defeat! If you are defeated but didn't die, it just means you were lucky! At those times, think only about survival! Survive and think only about killing the one who failed to kill you!" At that moment was when he discovered his nindo and began to fallow it on his search for the man he vowed will regret ever dealing with him.
