Rolling to see who will go first

2 Page Hesperis
Feel free to rp as usual randomizing betweeen 1 and 3 for each post, or to pre roll the results and go back and fill the posts in after the fact.
Rolling reference for ease
* For every post in a battle thread make sure you randomize between 1 and 3. The number you get will determine what happened during that turn.
1 - Uh oh, looks like you missed this time!
2 - Yay a hit! Your opponent should subtract 1 hp in their next post.
3 - Excellent hit! Your opponent should subtract 2 hp in their next post.
* Keep track of your HP on the top of each post you make please! When someone reaches zero the battle is over. (You can post once or twice more if you'd really like the two to wish each other well or what not)
If the dice decide to be jerks and the battle just keeps going on and on and on I may step in and ask for you guys to roll dice for some outside event to help out. Hopefully it won't be necessary

Niflhel stood there posed and ready for battle. His first go was a test attempt at how well Hesperis reflexes. So he didn't care if he missed or not this time. He held a cheeky grin looking over to the other. "Looks like this is going to be fun."

If Hesperis was intimidated by the fact she was gonna fight against a opponent that outranked her, none of it showed. She remembered him, vaguely - seeing him at the Knights of Destiny meeting but not quite getting to talk to him.
"'Sup." She gave him a playful salute, but he seemed right down to buisness - Niflhel's test would prove that the page's reflexes were top-notch, as she side-stepped right as he was about to hit her. "Yep, looks like it."
Were they supposed to use weapons ? She hadn't quite caught that, so she decided to keep her staff in subspace - instead, she aimed a kick at his legs, aiming to put him off-balance.
Hey, just because she wasn't aiming to hurt him didn't meant she was going to go easy.

Niflhel seemed impressed by the page's reflexes. "Good job," He said with a smile and a nod before helping himself back in one swift motion. Kickboxing had really helped in some areas and for that he was grateful. However, while he might be mostly light on his feet there were still areas he needed to improve on and he knew that.
Taking a swift jab towards Hesperis, he landed a soft blow to her shoulder area. He was using his practice moves for sparring and lessening the force behind the blow so he wasn't fighting too hard. He didn't need to make Polaris mad at him. He was planning on leaving his chain in sub-space unless things got really desperate.

Hesperis wasn't as good as Niflhel at 'playing nice' - clearly not used to holding back at all. Negas didn't give you chances, and neither did schoolyard bullies, but she figured that he'd probably had worse done to him than she could manage even if she wasn't doing what little effort to hold back.
Good thing she hadn't gotten a chibi. She thought they were little troopers but they still were.... well. Little.
Her reflexes weren't quick enough for his comeback, and her feign didn't work - her attempt to give him a similar push was off-base completely.

Niflhel appreciated her attempts they were well executed. His nimble dodge, allowed him another quick jab towards her side.
The squire grinned, as he managed to catch her off guard she was good but he'd had more training it seemed. He didn't mind, helping teach others was what this was about.
Of course he couldn't help others with everything that he'd seen and experienced. Even before he became a knight he'd had close calls. "Have you ever had any training outside of being a senshi?" He asked not trying to distract her but hoping to help her.

That was a nice, direct hit, and the sight of one of her ornaments breaking off and shattering on the ground made it obvious that, well, Hesperis was in trouble.
Damnit ! She didn't want to be out that easily !
"Im not a senshi, silly." She knew what he meant, through. "And kind of, I guess. If you count schoolyard fighting and beating up bullies."
She'd been a bully herself once, but he didn't need to go that. Instead, she aimed a quick jab at one of his ornaments, hoping to even the playing field.

That made Niflhel stop and chuckle rubbing the back of his head. "I'm sorry I guess after two years of dealing with Senshi I occasionally forget we're knights." Which in turn allowed time for Hesperis to break one of his ornaments. Oops, he let his guard down.
However, the sound of the shattering brought him back to the game. Right! They were training, he gave one swift side kick to Hersperis' other ornament watching it shatter on contact. That, was unexpected, however he'd tried to slow and make sure he didn't hurt her too much with that. "School yard fights against bullies are all well and good but perhaps some training at a gym will help too?" He offered her with a smile, "I know you have that staff, surely there's a fighting style that'll help you use that to the best of your abilities."
The knight gave a tilt of his hat to Hesperis. "You did well." He added with a smile.

"You totally just got lucky !" The young page said, grin playful rather than affronted. It really sucked to be out of the tournament this early, but well.
There was no use being a b***h about it. She hadn't always been such a good sport but... This was part of maturing, wasn't it ?
Becoming an adult was still a scary concept.
"I'll look into that, through you know you have to kick a lot of a** in my name now that you've offered me." She said, amused, with a playful salute.

Niflhel nodded, "There's always a small factor of luck to fights." He seemed to agree, "Perhaps when we're not as restricted by the rules of a game you'd like a rematch?"
He gave a nod glad that she'd at least look into it. "I shall do my best to kick as much a** as possible." He added with a grin, "Should we shake on it to make it a solid deal?" He offered his hand he was more than willing to take on as many opponents as he could manage without being knocked out.

"Sure thing." She said, grin not vanishing in the least, an amused laugh leaving her mouth as she moved to shake his hand.
"Well, I should probably go watch the rest of the matches, I guess." Really, the longest she could stay out of dorm, the more she would like it.
