Okay.. she excited.

Seated upon the ledge of the large fountain, Dahlia sat tall and puffy proud, waiting eagerly. Her eyes were searching, her ears alert for movement, and as she waited, she lifted a paw upwards in wonderful nervousness, licking her already clean paw over and over.

When she'd arrived in the Negaverse many of the senshi were already pretty high powered or already attached enough to Masahiro. Certainly she loved them, and they were perfectly kind to her too. But unsurprisingly it seemed they tended to lean towards him in times of need, and Dahlia had been feeling a little frusterated in her lack of activity lately.

The promise of helping the Dark Mirror Court had been one that many in the negaverse had balked at. Without previous connections though Dahlia had nothing to feel but pleasure and excitement. A whole new set of senshi to help, to mentor. And ones that she could perhaps sink her claws into before Hiro did!

She'd already, very briefly, spoken to Sailor Thule and Sailor Deneb Kaitos during the chaos that occurred in the Surrounding. But when her assistance was requested to go and help another in a more relaxed setting well... she'd certainly jumped at the opportunity.

The soft aura of chaotic energy, tinged with a slight unfamiliarity of the DMC caught her attention, her paw once again settling to the ledge.

In all honestly, Veer hadn't been sure what would be expected of him in this meeting, if he should come in uniform or dressed down, if he should bring tunafish or something, if he should show off by popping through a mirror. In the end, he'd done a bit of each: the mirror had taken him into a nearby McDonald's mens' room, and from there he'd poked his head out to investigate the scene, to squint around in search of the small form waiting --

Well. So be it. By the time he actually approached, it was in his proper Dark Moon getup, and he didn't look entirely comfortable with it. The biggest issue, of course, was a lack of pockets. He liked being able to shove his hands into his pockets, there was something reassuring about it, something that aided in comfortable nonchalance.

The other issue was the shoes -- not only the heels, not only the height, but really how light they were. He was used to shoes that grounded him, heavy enough to weight him down. s**t kickers. Steel toed monstrosities.

All this meant that he looked uneasy as he stepped up toward the fountain, eyes flicking past Dahlia and around before settling on her.

This was weird.

She was oblivious to his simple worries or complaints. It wasn't all that uncommon really for senshi to be unpleased with some portion of their fuku. It actually seemed to be quite a common occurance. To which she usually assured them just to make due and wait. It was possible things would change to their liking the more powerful they got.

Her attention perked as the menshi finally came into sight, her tail raising welcomingly, a loud purr audible for a moment as he approached.

As weird as it was for him, it was entirely comforting and exciting for the guardian. It had been easily over a month since she'd be able to really spend time with a senshi that wasn't technically 'an enemy'. And unlike the fuzziness that surrounded those senshi.. where she had to try and find their name.. and often would only come up with one or the other.. his name came flowing into her mind in a soft whisper.

Al-Janah... senshi of falconry.

"Hello Al-Janah" She murred softly, lifting from her seated position with anticipation. He might not have technically been 'hers'.. she wasn't even certain how the Dark Mirror Court felt about cats. But it didn't mean she couldn't revel in it for the time being.

...ah. Well. Talking cat. That made more sense -- though he still eyed her suspiciously. It was less that Al-Janah thought he was crazy as that watching a certain amount of anime had bred in him an instinctive distrust for things that were that, well, cute. And fluffy. She was rather fluffy, and the fluffy ones were always the most dangerous. Even Monty Python had known that, hadn't they?

So he squinted down at her, flicking a look away to make sure no one was watching him talk to a cat, and then looked back. Trying to decide if he wanted to engage. Was this a good idea?

"...what, is that supposed to be me?" He frowned, just a little, head tipping at that. Al-Janah didn't feel bad, at least. It wasn't like. Flutterby or something. He couldn't have dealt with cutesy.

She noticed the mild look of mistrust and she responded to it, ironicly, by trying to look even cuter and more inviting in her opinion. Her chest puffed in her primly seated position, her head tilting just a little to the side, and those dual colored eyes... if it was possible for a cat to bat their eyes that is certainly what it looked like she was doing.

Again he looked nervous.. or just entirely uncertain.. and then the question sounded, gaining a few soft huffs of laughter. Poor thing. Didn't even know his name... things must have been even more chaotic in the Surrounding then she'd had thought.

"Yes it is you. It's your senshi name. Al-Janah, senshi of falconry." She said the name again slowly, enuciating it as if it were something very important and that he should know. And in truth it was. She was actually a little curious how he'd been able to transform without the knowledge, but then.. miracles often occurred when people were stressed and the situation called for it. "It is the name you use to transform yourself. It's also the name of the homeworld you have somewhere else in the universe."

"And I'm Dahlia, one of the Guardian Mauvians of Chaos." He hadn't asked of course, but it was rude not to offer the introduction, especially with as clueless as he seemed. Better to just spit it all out then let him slowly fish for information. "My job is to watch over and help guide the senshi and negaverse. Anything that you need or questions that you have, I'll do my best to help."

"I'm very accomodating" She added after a moment, seemingly amused with herself for the moment.

"Well, I do like chaos..." One look at his bedroom would make that clear: trash and clothing and all sorts of things he really didn't need and probably should just throw out pretty much covered every surface of his room. Including the bed, at times. His desktop, both literal and on the computer. Chaos was his life.

Al-Janah leaned in a little to consider the cat, arms still folded across his chest, the transparent overlay of his uniform dangling -- temptingly. Like feathers, not quite in the cat's face. If he had more experience with animals, he probably wouldn't have don that. "What do you guide in, exactly?"

Her paws twitched a little against the smooth concrete ledge of the fountain, trying very hard to fight the urge to begin batting at the sheer fabric that was suddenly dangling tantalizingly close. She was trying to be professional after all!

What did she guide it? It was a strange question that she wasn't certain exactly how to answer, her ears flicking a little. "Whatever you need really. I can help you gain more power when you become ready for it. Or offer advice and strategy during battle."

"I can be a good set of ears when you need someone to listen to your worries and concerns. Or perhaps offer incentive if you find yourself slacking on your duties."

She could contain herself no longer, one paw reaching out to try and grasp at the tantalizing fabric with sharp claws. "I'm a pretty good lap warmer too"
PostPosted: Sat Nov 05, 2011 7:21 pm

"No offense, but I definitely don't want you warming my lap." The idea made him shudder a little, attention sliding away -- and then twitching, sharp claws scraping through the material of his uniform. He twitched straight immediately, fingers going to the spot, and his mouth falling open just a notch as he considered the tear.

"...woah, hey now, totally ******** out of line, these digs are brand new." He sounded genuinely frustrated by it, but maybe that was just thinking of what Leto -- or, hell, Ares -- would say in response. "s**t. Will that mend?"

There was something on her face reminescent of a pout as he declined her, or as close to a pout as a cat could really get, her ears laid back pitifully.

But they immediately popped back up as he recoiled and starred at his, now marred, uniform. And she laughed, just a little bit. Such a worrier, though if someone had ruined some of her fashionable things well.. she'd have been angry too. "It's alright. Next time you henshin up again it will be as good as new. Even if you lost half of it, it'll mend."

"That said... you can mend too. If you get hurt and beaten up and all..." Which was sure to happen in this line of 'business'. "Well you'll heal a little bit faster in your powered form then you would in your regular civilian life."

"But be warying.. it certainly doesn't mean you're invincible."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 06, 2011 12:20 pm

"Yeah, well, I wasn't invincible before, either." He prodded at the hole, one finger poking through the transparent fabric in a mournful sort of way, whether it would mend or not. It probably wasn't wise to poke at the tear. Even as he toyed at it, it grew another quarter inch and he finally dropped his hand, blinking down at the cat, instead.

"Not exactly afraid of having the s**t beaten out of me, either. Wouldn't be the first time." Instead, Al-Janah smoothed down his uniform, shaking his head just a little bit. "Whatever. I heal faster. Nice."

Her ears perked, an unevenness of her eyes for a moment at the curious words offered. Was he the brawling type? She didn't hear that very often. But it was a pleasant sort of surprised.

In her opinion that made him a great recruit! New warriors that were actually good at fighting or were super driven to the cause made the perfect and best additions. When she spoke it was a mixture of a compliment and a tease, the tone good natured. "So tough..."

"Have you figured your power out then yet?" She asked curiously, suddenly wanting to see it in action.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 08, 2011 1:18 pm

Did flinging himself at other enthusiastic young men in the heart of extremely wild mosh pits count as 'brawling'? Leto probably wouldn't have thought so, but Dahlia might not have the experience with concert culture to know about that. He came out with black eyes, with split lips, once with two broken fingers; that counted enough to make him tough, right? Or at least, if he threw himself back in again...

Al-Janah made a sound, shifting at that, hesitant. He didn't really like admitting to ignorance, so he fumbled for a way to make it less a failure and -- oh. Of course.

"I haven't tried to 'figure it out'. Does it take work or something?" He considered adding a yawn to it but -- maybe that was overkill on the 'not giving a s**t'. Especially since, behind it, Al-Janah definitely did give a s**t, his eyes sparking with it.

She did not, in fact, know of mosh pits or concerts really. If he had explained it however she could have likely offered a similarly good spin on it and how it prepared him for this new life as a senshi. If nothing else Dahlia was pretty good at spinning words and ideas in a way that made them attractive.

While others in the DMC or even the Negaverse might have dwelled or looked unkindly to 'failure' she did not see the thing she'd asked about as a failure. How WAS a senshi to know about everything if there was no mauvian to offer them answers? That wasn't to say she couldn't be dissappointed by actual failures, that was VERY far from the truth in fact.

"It really depends on the power actually. Some are quite straight forward, others are a bit more adjustable.. or have the potential of backfiring."

"Call out 'Janah Rake' and let's see what happens." She offered, obviously curious herself to see what the attack could actually do. She knew kind of.. somehow. But there was a difference between the vague feeling that a mauvian got.. and actually seeing the power brought to life before her eyes.

For a moment, again, he hesitated -- because something about that seemed so, well. So silly. So out there. Al-Janah shifted where he stood and called out the challenge, all but rolling his eyes as he did...

Which meant that the ghostly red falcon that slammed against his wrist, hooded and shifting, surprised the hell out of him and almost knocked him off-balance. He hissed, fidgeted, uncertain for a moment. If it hadn't been for Ladyhawke, a classic [and terrible, but at least Michelle Pfeifer got naked], he might have been clueless. But he'd seen that movie many a time [especially that one particular scene], and after the bird started fidgeting, he...figured it out.

His fingers were less than nimble, moving to take off the bird's jesses, but this was...familiar, somehow. With time and a little practice, he'd get better at this, until it was second nature. At some point in the past, it had been before.

The bird sat, head cocked, staring at his hand, impatient. The problem with Al-Janah's attack was that it required a target. Which meant nothing happened until he swept his hand out and pointed at Dahlia, the bird immediately taking off into the air to circle above.

He craned his head back to stare at it, uncertain, and then down at the cat. For the moment, she'd definitely know what it meant to be on the 'prey' end of the spectrum. "...um. I don't really...know what it does, so...."

There was a soft look of amusement as she watched his disbelief change to surprise, a smile only for herself settled on her maw. But it was one that grew as she watched him, albeit slowly, begin to dechiper what was perhaps one of the more complex enchanting she'd seen.

The smile softened however when he pointed to her and the bird took flight, slinking down a little bit as her eyes cast upwards to watch. She knew what it was supposed to do.. though she was a little weary that it wouldn't react just as her gut told her it would. Dual colored eyes very carefully watching the ghostly hawk for any signs of it's descent, claws out and ready as if it wouldn't simply just go through the bird anyway.

"You'll have to wait until you try it on an enemy to see. Because I'm not letting it attack me."

Her ears were down, tail tucked cautiously around her as if afraid the slightest movement might set it off. She did oblidge him finally though with a soft huff.

"From what I can tell it attacks your enemy if they move around too much."
