Having left the party, Asch walked down the lonely streets of Camphoreon as they were now largely deserted. Most everyone was at the party, having fun, or back at their own homes. Very few businesses were open at this hour save gas stations and the odd convenience store. Not exactly the best time to be out roaming the streets, but Asch could very well take care of himself.

He walked in silence, letting the sea breeze toss his hair as he went. Green eyes downcast at the ground before him as he walked, letting his thoughts wander. He had a lot to think about, thanks to what all had happened at the party. Most of those thoughts centered around Natalia. At his side, his Zoroark appeared, letting his illusion fade. In his claws he clutched his master's sword and handed it back to him. Asch took it wordlessly and fastened it to his side where it belonged.

A rumble of distant thunder then caught his attention and he paused to look up at the sky. Lovely. It seemed he would have to seek shelter soon if he didn't want to get caught in a sudden downpour at any moment.

She hadn't lasted much longer at the party and had changed into her normal out fit, along with getting her bow, arrows and quiver back from the people in charge of the party. They had kept them safe for her while she had obayed the rules. Little Luke had finally got tired of being ignored and was in her arms as she walked down the streets. The night had been so confusing already, she just wanted to go back to the hotel and sleep.

When the thunder rumbled she looked up and cuddled Luke to her chest with a frown. "Rain. Something else to make this night just perfect." she said with a sigh then sped up her steps. It wasn't that she didn't normally like the rain but right now she wasn't in the mood to get caught in it.

An ear of Saber's flicked as he quickly picked up the sound of hurried steps coming in their direction. The dark fox turned and growled lowly, which caused Asch to look. Not long after he too heard the steps and frowned. Someone was heading towards them from the way they had come. Did someone see him leave the party? Were they following him?

Deciding not to take his chances, he slipped into a nearby alleyway, followed by his Pokemon. Their appearance was masked by Saber's illusion, which caused the alley to look empty save for a few garbage cans.

However, Asch was in fact peering around the corner and soon blinked in surprise when he saw who it was running in his direction. The short blonde hair and hazel eyes were unmistakable, at least to him.

Natalia had broke out in a run when the thunder had seemed like it was coming closer, figuring that the rain wasn't too far behind it. Luckily her boots didn't slow her down, having gotten used to running in them. She was completely oblivious to Asch and Saber, having not expected to see them again and not being able to see through the illusion. Little Luke however, caught a familiar scent. "Teh!" He knew better then to squirm when being held like this and his Lady was running but here was a chance to make up for the failure of earlier!

Instead of just bringing her attention to him and stopping though, it instead brought her attention to him when she should have been paying attention to where she was running.

Asch watched her closely as she closed in on their locations. Perhaps watching a bit too closely. However, that's when the first few rain drops began to fall. The red head barely even noticing as they hit him. His attention was instead on Natalia, and how her attention was being diverted while running. If she wasn't careful she was going to trip. He suppressed a groan, knowing full well how clumsy she could be.

Saber stared at his master, having certainly noticed his strange behavior when this female showed up earlier. Even now, he sensed that Asch was behaving differently. What was going on here?

Little Luke started to flail his front legs a bit and his eyes widened. "Teh pi!" He tried to tell his Lady to LOOK AT THE ROAD! But the Tepig's flailing only made her unstable and added more distraction as she tried to keep upright as she ran. Natalia was just getting her balance back when it started to rain a bit. And she was farther more starting to slow down since she had realized that she should probably top before she asked her pokemon what was wrong.

Too bad it she started to slow down right before she came upon an innocently placed rock. Her right foot kicked the rock and forward she tripped. The blond did turn a bit so that she wouldn't fall on Little Luke though.

Except that Natalia didn't hit the ground. Instead she landed solidly in the arms of a young red head. Asch had seen her trip, and had sprinted away from Saber's illusion without thinking, as if on instinct. Having caught the girl, he then realized his precarious situation. Green eyes blinked once in astonishment. What had he done?! He should have just let her fall but... what was he thinking?!

Crap. Now what?

He stared blankly at the blonde girl, tense and unmoving, seemingly in shock of his own actions.

Natalia herself was just as stunned as Asch was. Out of instinct she had unwrapped one arm from Little Luke and had wrapped it around her saviors shoulders the moment she was caught. She looked up in shock at the redhead, a slight blush on her cheeks and one thought went through her head. Why did he help her? Well ok more then that went though her head but that was the most prominent. First the teen had been happy to see her at the party, then angry/sad, then ran away from her, then Luke had told her it was an impostor and now this?

She was rather uncertain what to do now that his situation happened. Well almost fully uncertain. "Thank you."

It hadn't been what he had 'planed' but Little Luke was pleased on the outcome of his accedental distraction. Or at least so far.

There were several moments where Asch was just frozen where he was, eyes wide and a blush spreading across his cheeks. This was so completely and thoroughly embarrassing, and yet...

He looked away when she gave him her thanks, and he helped steady Natalia on her feet again. Once that was done, he pulled away and turned his back to her.

"You should be more careful," he growled indignantly, trying to cover up his embarrassment and everything else he was feeling in that moment.

That blush made him look... cute. That though made Natalia blush darker in return even as he helped her to her feet. When he pulled away she had to stop her self from reaching out to him again and instead hugged the silent Tepig a bit more. She took a deep breath to try and calm her racing heart, telling herself it was just the adrenalin from almost tripping that was the reason for it. "You are right, I should. Thank you again." the noble said and looked to the left in embarrassment when Asch's words hit her. What had she been thinking running around like that? Even the rain, that they both seemed to be ignoring, wasn't a good enough reason.

Asch stood there with his back to her for several moments, not saying a word. A few drops of rain continuing to pelt him. However, he soon realized that he was lingering far too long and started to wordlessly walk away.

However, it was at that moment that the heavens decided to open and let out their load. With a crack of thunder, and lightning arching across the sky, a torrent of rain suddenly come down upon them.

Well crap.

At his first step to leave, Natalia took a step after him with a hand out stretched to grab him and her mouth open to ask him to stay. She really wanted him to stay and give her some answers. Answers that might clear up this confusion in her head and heart. But instead it started to pour rain on them and their pokemon before she could say anything. She let out a surprised gasp at the cold rain then grabbed Asch's hand and tried to pull him over to a nearby over hang so they would be out of the rain.

Well this was just great. Rain didn't really bother Asch all that much, but it was never pleasant to be soaked, which was happening rather quickly. However, before he could think more about it, his hand was grabbed. Startled, he had little choice but to stumble after Natalia as he was pulled underneath an overhang.

Now completely drenched, it looked like he was stuck here with the girl he had been trying to avoid. Fate really seemed to hate him. Pushing some waterlogged bangs from his face, the red head sighed.

In the next moment a drenched Zoroark then appeared at his side, hissing in displeasure.

Now that they were under the over hang Natalia wasn't sure what to do. Technically they both could leave at any time should they wish to bare the rain but she didn't want to part just yet. As she thought of how to possibly ask the man question with out setting him off again she sat Little Luke down on the floor against the building. Once her hands were free she started to wring out the water from her hair.

She looked over at the pokemon when it came out of the rain soaked and made a sympathetic face, wishing they had towels to dry both pokemon off at least. Natalia then looked back over at Asch and watched him thoughtfully. The water in his hair was distracting though.

There was silence from Asch as he stood there with his arms folded, staring out at the rain. It would be a while before he could get a ride back to HQ, and walking there wasn't an option, especially in this weather. Thus, he was effectively stuck. Damn his luck.

His eyes remained riveted forwards, watching the rain. He was actually trying NOT to look at Natalia, because he had quickly noticed how her wet clothes were clinging to her feminine form. That same blush still lingering on his cheeks as he tried to look serious and indifferent.

Saber meanwhile, decided to shake himself off. The water from his mane getting flung in all directions. Asch's face cringed slightly as he shut one eye against the water onslaught, and then sighed. He didn't bother ringing out his hair. There was just so much of it and it was so wet... it would take forever to dry off on its own even if he did.
