"Ebere and I shall now judge the storytelling contest! We shall be judging on length, creativity, and delivery. Please keep in mind... more is not always better when it comes to a good story, sometimes its the stories that leave you wanting more that are the best." She smiled and nodded for the lionesses to line up and step forward one at a time to deliver their story. The whole pride had been invited to listen as well, but it would be the queen and consort who would ultimately decide the winner.
.: OOC :.
Here's how the game will go! Your lioness will step forward and tell a story of her choosing. It doesn't have to be a story about real events, as long as its entertaining. The winner will gain the title of "Master Storyteller", which they can be certed with.
So, how do you play?
- First, roll three 20 sided dice in a post here. Afterwards, feel free to go back and edit your post if you wish to icly react to what you rolled. These three dice will determine A) How long your story was, B) How creative you were with your story C) How well you told it to the judges.
- The three rolls will be averaged to determine your overall score. The lioness with the highest roll will the judged the winner! Thus the higher the numbers you roll, the better your story came off! (numbers with decimals may be rolled up to the next number)
- ICly, your lioness will be judged poorly if she's too extreme in the first two categories. Too long or too short, too boring or too ridiculous. However, its hard to do that with dice and judge a winner, so assume that if you roll low, you are approaching one of the extremes, while a high roll puts you in that nice middle area.
- In the event of a tie, all lionesses with that number will be eligible for the title. Since this doesn't come with any actually responsibilities like the role of a 'head storyteller', more than one lioness can hold this title.
- You may roll once for each lioness you own in the pride, but please put each lioness in her own post!
- There aren't any cubs in the pride as of posting this, but your lioness may not participate unless she is an adolescent or adult.
- Your lioness may participate in this event even if she participated in the hunting event.
Go go go!
For those who wish to rp:
First roll is length:
- 1 either you barely got a few words out, or you put the audience to sleep.
- 2 to 6 is a bit more than is comfortable, but not horrible.
- 7 to 13 is average. A decent time.
- 14 to 20 is perfect! You kept everyone entertained and quit before they got bored.
Second roll is creativity:
- 1... either your story was a snore-ably mundane, or so ridiculous its... ridiculous.
- 2 to 6 is better, but still more than the listeners care for.
- 7 to 13 is average. This was a pretty every day kind of entertainment.
- 14 to 20 is awesome! You told a rousing tale and everyone enjoyed it.
Third roll is delivery:
- 1 and its hard to tell what you were even doing. Stage fright much?
- 2 to 6 and you had a hard time keeping people interested or getting them to understand what your story was about.
- 7 to 13 is pretty good. You kept everyone entertained.
- 14 to 20 is incredible! You had everyone hanging on your every word!
