Red on red. Red on gold. Red on white.
For some reason, the sight of blood on the white parts of her fuku affected Pomona strongly. White was supposed to be strong, be pure, not bloody.
Red on white.
Pomona was never so deluded as to think that she was a particularly powerful Senshi. She was just a Super - now one of many Supers - with a laughable sphere. And oh, how she wished she was being overly dramatic about that, but she wasn't; she'd heard the disbelief in that mirror Senshi's voice after she saw Pomona pepare her attack.
Of course, that mirror Senshi wasn't laughing now, now was she? And that was part of the problem. That Senshi was probably in the hospital now because of Pomona. Probably; Pomona hadn't even had the courage or decency to make sure.
Senshi were soldiers in the ongoing war against Chaos; Pomona knew that. Pomona also knew that Sailor Moon - Princess Serenity - would have been their leader if she were here. It stood to reason then that the Senshi should act in a way that Sailor Moon would have approved of. From what Pomona had heard, Sailor Moon had stood for peace, love, and justice. That had suited Pomona just fine, since she wasn't a violent person to begin with.
And yet that Sailor Leto had been hurt by her, bled on her; red on white.
As a Senshi, Pomona had been in several battles already. They had been bloody battles, even if Pomona hadn't been the one to spill the blood. Each side was so convinced of their beliefs that words didn't seem to be enough, which left fists and bloodshed. Bloodshed that had been going on since the Silver Moon Kingdom, if not before!
How could Senshi represent peace, love, and justice while spilling blood? How could even Sailor Moon have done it? Pomona had heard tales of her and her great achievements, but she was beginning to think that they'd been embelished. Chaos had existed during Sailor Moon's time, and if she had been successful in talking Chaos down, surely they wouldn't still be fighting. Surely even the great Sailor Moon had had to resort to violence.
"Had to" was the key phrase though. "Had to," not "wanted to," because that was what seperated them from Chaos, wasn't it? That and their goals. What exactly Chaos' goal was she wasn't sure, but she doubted it could be good, seeing how quick they were to hurt and kill others, how they required the energy of other human beings to fuel their plans.
Plans that Pomona didn't know. Pomona prided herself on her knowledge, but she didn't really know why they were fighting. Good versus evil was all she really knew, and she was quickly discovering that the distinction between the two wasn't as clear as she thought.
Red on white. She'd sullied her own image of the White Moon Senshi, so the least she could do was find out why.
