Worlds don't always run the way they appear to on the surface. Kuteiru smiled at the thought it wasn't a normal thought, but it was one that in recent had been trickling through his mind as of late, but that was never something he'd speak aloud, since it was not necessarily the most courteous thing to speak of. He sat there looking around to see what was going on, Halloween as they called it was in the air, and he was curiously watching the decorations going up, some of them were unsettling but most were whimsical, and entertaining.
Shifting off of his haunches he decided to walk and observe things a little more closely, wondering why it was that this time of year was so intricately observed, but found that it wasn't something he could necessarily figure out. His eyes wandered over pumpkins and other things as he silently walked on.

Madam Muertos trotted around the festivities, many were adorning their homes with different things. While others were planning for large meals. She was already looking the part, with her brightly colored fur and bat wings. But it was curious that many only saw the vampires and goals as halloween, she saw so much more. The lore and the meaning of the day for the spirits that wandered the earth.
Smiling she sat down by the pumpkins and observed a orange male, who seemed to be in thought stare at the orange globes. "They are pretty, pumpkins that it." She said and smiled.

Kuteiru sighed to himself, then looked up at the voice that spoke, it was an interesting sight, the female had an oddly painted face, and black fur that seemed much darker almost like a shadow, "Ah yes, Pumpkins, I find it an odd thing that they carve them thusly, do you know why that is? Perhaps...if it is not presumptuous of me, given your interesting looks, you have knowledge of what is going on, and would impart it to me?" He was genuinely curious about it,and hopeful that this rather interesting looking female would have insight he did not.

Muertos smiled and nodded her large tail moving to curl around her as she glanced around once more, taking in the sights. "It is a celebration, for all those that have passed. Their souls can come back to earth for one night to reunite with their families. We decorate graves and some carve pumpkins and gather treats to celebrate this day." She told him and looked back to his masked face. "You seem to look the part as well, you are festive."

Kuteiru smirked beneath his mask, "Ah, sadly this is how I always appear. the divine Inari has gifted me with such an appearance throughout the year, but I suppose it does not look as out of place during this time as normal."
His head tilted a bit, "So perhaps this is similar to the Obon festival?" He was thinking to link it to something he understood, though truth be told he didn't understand the reasoning behind that event either. Being a some what sheltered Fox, he was often left by the wayside in his understanding of how the world worked. Especially in a town with many many more variations and crazy dgos and humans than he thought possible, "Do you have any one in particular you are hoping to see come back this year?" Though his face was covered, his voice let on that he was truly curious, one could almost picture the raised brows on his face.

A saddened expression crossed her face for a second, she was always alone. She never really made friends or had a companion. "No, i am alone. I come for the colors and other peoples enjoyment." Muertos told him and flicked her blue tipped tail around herself a little tighter. Her appearance may be a little off putting, but she wanted friends and a family eventually. "Why have you come to this festival this year?"

He blinked at the sudden shift in her mood, and felt bad, it was obvious that she was lonely, which was likely why she'd wander into town during this time, she wouldn't appear to be out of place, one couldn't see under his mask, but he was compassionate to her plight, she had a startling appearance, but she seemed to be sweet none the less. He was brought back to reality with her question.
"Ah, well, really, I was curious about all the bits and pieces of this affair. It wasn't something I'd seen before, and rather than spend all day locked in the house with the rampage that happens where I live, I much prefer to be out and about, especially with all the festivities." His tails twitched, all nine of them and he smirked, "At least out here I don't look as out of place as usual, and well, it's a good chance to meet others, perhaps make some not so crazy acquaintances, and find a few friends."
His head tilted to the left, "Would you be so kind as to escort me around, and explain some of the finer points of the celebration? I would be most appreciative of it." if nothing else he could find a good conversational companion in her, then he blinked, not that one could see it, and stood up giving a bow to her, "I am so sorry, terrible manners, I am Kuteiru, a pleasure to meet you miss, would you do me the honor of telling me your name?" Some days his manners went out the window because of his curiosity.

She smiled and nodded, "I would be happy to show you around, I'm afraid though my perception of this festival may be off from reality." Muertos said honestly. When she realized she hadn't introduced herself either she smiled and stood up her bat wings flapping a bit behind her.
"A girl i met once called me Madam Muertos, so that is what i have called myself since a kit. You may call me Muertos, it is nice to meet you Kuteiru." She said and started walking knowing he would follow.
"Halloween is called many things, by different cultures i think. So everyone had different ways of celebrating. Though i am not too sure specifically, but i know children dress up and get candy, while some dance and have a festival to honor the dead."
