Super Sailor Albireo was jumping off of rooftops. She should have been patrolling, she knew, but…it was fun to jump off and watch her skirt puff up, like some sort of parachute.

The last two hours had passed in complete idiotic giggles. Ever since she had become a Super Senshi, she seemed so much more carefree, so much more…comfortable. It didn’t seem like anything could really go wrong now! She was stronger, better off…sure, she still didn’t know that much about what she was fighting for…or whatever. But, she was a Super Senshi!

Albireo jumped back onto a rooftop, taking a deep breath, enjoying the smell of the crisp fall air. Well, it was chilly, borderline cold tonight, so, she could justify all the jumping. She was just trying to keep herself warm, right? Right.

Another fit of giggles erupted from the girl as she jumped off the roof, skirt fluffing up. How much more fun could life be?

Things could very easily go wrong.

Painite felt the energy of a super senshi and moved to follow it, powering down once she spotted the shadow leaping from the roof above her. How... quaint? She did not spend too much time silently musing about how stupid senshi could be, though, when she recognized the senshi in question. The colors, the look. It was her little Duckie, but she had grown up a bit.

Good. Super senshi were even more fun to play with.

Grinning ear to ear, she powered up where it was safe to, a sudden burst of chaotic energy filling the night. She was close, right beneath the senshi, in fact, and looked up to see where she was following, then teleported to join her. She had never teleported to a mid fall before, but she found there was nothing to it, beyond a sudden rush of falling where she had been standing before.

"Having fun?" she asked, lashing out with Staff Corporal Saddles more to scare her than to do any real damage. Not yet, at least. They would both be landing in a matter of seconds, but Painite wanted to make sure the senshi wasn't on her feet.

Albireo let out a surprised gasp, trying to twist out of the way of the staff, losing her balance in the air. Paininte got her wish, and Albireo landed hard on her bottom, skirt sprawling around her. Ah. Great. What a way to ruin her fun night with the stupid evil b***h from her nightmares. This was just what she wanted tonight. Completely.

The senshi winced and reached down, rubbing at her lower back, the pain momentarily distracting her from Painite, though, maybe that’s what she was going for. Maybe if she just ignored the General…then the General would just disappear! Fade into nothingness.

She looked over to the woman finally, then forced a strained smile. “Oh. So nice to see you again. I do hope you’ve been well.” Lie. Lie as much as you could. An arm crossed over her chest, memories of Painite’s arm once more flashing through her mind. No. No she wouldn’t let the General have her starseed. Ever.

For her own part, the General landed lightly on her feet. She was not known for grace, per se, but she knew how to handle herself well enough. Her training recently had been more movement oriented, and she had been trying to work on jumping, speed, agility. Landing after a jump was simple, but an important skill nonetheless.

She grinned.

"Your little skirt is looking so cute," she said, her voice no where near sincere, "though I think you need more color to bring some real pop to the whole ensemble. Maybe a little red? What do you think?"

She watched the senshi keenly, not much a fan of the honking swans. She watched and grinned broadly, looking very cool and in control, as she often did. Still, inside, she was feeling nothing but rage. She wanted to fight. She wanted to rip this senshi's starseed out so fast she had time to show it to her before she died.

The senshi looked up at Painite, then scrambled to her feet, eyes narrowing into a cold glare. “No, thank you. Red is one of my least favorite colors, add that to your record books, won’t you? Sailor Albireo despises the color red. And all it stands for.”

She kept her eyes focused on the General, taking a few steps backwards, fully intending to run at her first possible chance, hand once more rubbing her still sore backside.

“And what’s your favorite color, hm? I would imagine you to like yellow maybe. I don’t know why. But you strike me as a yellow type of gal.”

"Despises the color red. Gotcha," Painite said, grinning wickedly. That just meant she would have to paint the senshi with it sometime. Maybe right now, in fact. Why not seize the moment that was presented to her? It would serve her right, telling Painite what she didn't like.

Even if she was just trying to get rid of the Nega. Painite could work with what she was thrown. The art of battle banter, and using it in the plans and moves she then made, was a very important one to the General. She found it was a more personal way to fight.

Made everything individual, which she was sure the senshi she was menacing appreciated.

"My favorite color?" She laughed, taking a few steps forward to counter the ones the senshi was taking backwards. She knew the girl liked to run, but Painite wasn't going to let her get away this time. A plan was forming in her head. Maybe she would scare the girl into running, teleport after a chase and make her run into her spear.

Would serve her right for trying to escape.

"I'll give you three more guesses, but no more. Yellow isn't it. Not by a long shot." She continued to walk forward, holding her spear up, eyes fixed on Albireo's face.

She didn’t like that spear. She really…really didn’t like that spear. Albireo swallowed, still backing up, praying she wasn’t going to hit any walls anytime soon. She would be toast. Completely toast…

“Not yellow, then? How about blue? A beautiful deep blue…like the night sky perhaps? Or like the ocean at night?” Blue was a pretty color, she liked it herself, and the midnight blue color was her favorite shade of it. “Three guesses, hm? Does that mean I get three wishes too? Like the power of three…that happens a lot in Fairy Tales…or so my English teacher told me the other day…”

Stall, stall, stall…stay as far away from that…stupid, pointy deadly looking spear as possible. Get home…Get home quickly…Maybe if she guessed Painite’s favorite color…then the woman would just let her go! Or…or be so surprised and give her a chance to honk at the woman, then fun as fast as she could…then she would be able to slip into a building, and power down…hiding her energy signature from the general…

Why did she always have such horrible luck? Why did she always run into people that wanted to kill her?

"You sure do talk a lot," Painite said, grinning. She could all but smell the fear coming off the senshi, and she liked it. She wanted to roll around in it, if she could collect it in a tangible form, but she would have to settle for laughing and mocking while she could.

Of course, her attention span was searching for something new already. Talking was all well and good and she could do a lot of her scary work with just words, but what she really wanted and needed was to get the fight started.

Not that she intended on it being something that could be called a fight.

A slaughter?

"How about we stop that game and move on to a new one. You seem to be having some trouble with that one. So why don't you show me what that new skirt of yours allows you to do?"

She grabbed the staff of her weapon tightly, moving suddenly. Games would continue, surely, but she was too pent up and too eager for some pay back to waste too much more time.

"Or I can just show you the answer you were looking for. It was pretty obvious all along," she said, slicing forward and across, aiming for the senshi's stomach.

A small shriek escaped the senshi’s mouth and she jumped backwards, though…not as quickly as she should have. The sharp blade of the staff sliced through her bodice, drawing a thin line of blood across her stomach. Oh. Ouchies.

“S-so…your favorite color is red, hm?” Talk talk talk…maybe now Painite would be satisfied. Albireo wasn’t too worried, the cut wasn’t too deep…It hurt like a…well, it hurt. A lot worse then the stupid little kick in the side from Jarosite’s boots…but…it wasn’t that bad…

She glanced down and grimaced, seeing that the blood had began to stain the white fabric of her bodice. “Well, here you go. Some red for you. Did it do as you wanted? Did it balance my outfit?”

Keep her occupied…Then honk and run…like hell…

Painite grinned as the senshi let out her cry of surprise, knowing that in due time it would be one of pain and panic. This whole 'hunting senshi' thing was fun, and always got a kick out of the way she could get them to panic. Sometimes they didn't, stubborn and pretending that they didn't care or they were badass or something, but she knew better.

They were all the same in the end. All helpless, and all susceptible to fear.

Painite wasn't done yet.

"You talk a lot. I think you're nervous. But that's alright, if I were in your shoes, I would be too. Not that I would ever wear those things," she looked at her feet disparagingly, shaking her head as if she were deeply disappointed in the senshi. Not that they could pick their clothes, but she found that they were often a fitting match. This little ballerina was trying to distract her with talking? Painite could play that game.

Could, but wouldn't. Instead, she decided the direct route, the opposite of what the senshi seemed to want, was the way to go. She charged forward, holding the spear at her side like a lance, as if she were jousting without a horse. But the spear had once been a horse, of one kind, so it still counted.

Crap Crap Crap! Talking hadn’t worked. It hadn’t done anything…Albireo jumped to the side, trying to avoid the damn spear…That thing really hurt!

“A-albireo honking distraction!” Aw, crap. Her voice shook on that, didn’t it? She was quite honestly scared. She didn’t want to die, she wasn’t going to allow herself to die…As the sound of the swans honking started up, the senshi took a deep breath, holding a hand over the cut on her stomach. She really hoped she’d be given a window of a second or so to run like hell, but for some reason didn’t think this would really be the case…

Painite was one scary b***h, and she really didn’t want to ever see her again. Ever.

Painite slapped her hands over her ears, banishing her weapon as she did so, growling and pressing her palms against her head in an effort to block out the damn swans.

"Oh, little Duckie," she yelled over the noise, shaking her head, "don't think you can hide behind your little birds and get away from me!"

She didn't care who heard her, or if she was the only one hearing the swans and her yelling was a little ridiculous. She still filled her words with malice and intent, with anger and no small amount of mocking. She was a super villain, after all, and that required finesse and a good delivery.

Even if the damn attack really was overwhelming, and she realized that it really would give the senshi a chance to run. But maybe not far. Maybe Painite would be able to hunt her down, where ever she ran off. This would be the second, third? time the damn senshi got away from her, by design or otherwise, and that was just unacceptable.

But at least it made things interesting.

Albireo let out a little sigh of relief, then jumped onto the nearest rooftop, running like hell, trying her hardest to just get away from the crazy--yeah. Painite was completely insane--general.

The senshi took the longest, stupidest route home, and only dehenshined when she was sure that the negaverse general wasn't following her.

When Odette made it home she sighed. Stupid b***h...someday, she'd really show her what swans were made of. No more of this getting tossed around crap. She was going to win the next time, no matter what she was going to win.
