[ Premise/Foreword ]
The morning light breaks over the edge of the window, lighting the shabby inn walls with the beauty of morning. Of course, the massive headache and bizzare wrist pain makes the morning seem like a horrible thing, but you really shouldn't have drunk that much last night. And whose leg is that by your head? Your group really should have sprung for more than one room, but someone convinced everyone that it was a better deal just to get one room. Damn them and their blasted money-saving schemes.
The birds are tweeting outside the window and the shadow of a figure is upon the wall. Wait, what? Someone is sitting in the window-sill, watching the group in a heap on the floor of the inn. The figure's teeth break out of the blackness of its shadowed face as it realizes that everyone is awake and looking at it in stunned silence.
It's teeth split and the inside of its mouth is red as it begins to speak in a strange, distorted voice. "I've poisoned all of you! You have one year starting one hour ago to catch me and get the antidote! If you don't get it... well, I'm not even sure what'll happen!" The figure slips from the window, on the second floor it serves to mention, and begins to run.
"Catch me if you can! Or die trying!" The smile in the figures voice is unmistakable.
[ Setting Information/Background ]
This game will take place on the same world as my previous attempt at a game, Mor'Halas did. But not on the same continent. Yet, possibly.
In short, a mysterious figure has gotten bored and decided to play a game with you. By poisoning you all and keeping the antidote to itself as it ran. Now, you either have to catch the figure and retrieve the antidote within a year, or find out the effects of what is affectionately dubbed, The Yearling Poison.
