Sky walked along side by side with the girls that she had made friends with over the last five years. "You know that guy you're with a lot is so hot." One of the girl said. "Oh Sky. Look at this dress." A second girl said as the group lined themselves against a window of a shop. In the front was a Cinderella like dress that the girls loved. "If only I had a boyfriend." Sky commented. "You should date your co-worker."

Show Me How To Lie....
Exiting the fairly girly shop with a bag in hand, a familiar redhead steps out onto the semi-crowded sidewalk. While the things inside the shop certainly weren't his style, they were certainly within his sister-in-law's taste; they weren't technically related, but that hardly matter to any of the men involved. The woman's husband and the redhead had a bond as strong as any siblings', and he certainly didn't care if there was no blood relation. He had been looking for a present for the woman for a special day coming up, and had been directed to this shop by his 'brother'. Glancing about the sidewalk curiously, the redhead steps to the side of the door and runs a hand through his hair. "I was so focused on getting here that I forgot to remember how to get back." he was speaking quietly to himself as he tucked away the small bag in an inner coat pocket; his coat was long and black that hung down just below his knees, and while it was warm, it was far from bulky. Adney glanced briefly at the group of girls crowded outside the shop, and while one seemed familiar to him, he couldn't draw a name to mind.

A girl smiled and grabbed a hold of Sky's hands and pulled her into a dance. "Ah. Prince Sky. You look as handsome as ever." The girl commented as they waltz together. "Why thank you my princess." Sky commented again. The girls weren't paying attention while they spun around and around in circle. All Sky heard before she slammed into Adney's chest was "Sky look out." Sky hit right into Adney and put her arms on his shoulder to brace herself from falling.

Show Me How To Lie....
Glancing up and down the street, the teacher paid little attention to the group of girls and their silly dance. His head shifted back in their direction, scanning the area for landmarks when the two spinning at him caught his attention. He raised an eyebrow as the blonde slammed into him, one hand reaching automatically to her waist to steady her as they other extended towards the wall of the store he had just left. A bit surprised, but not at all angry, the redhead raised an eyebrow at the strikingly familiar female standing so close to him. "Are you alright?" while his tone wasn't exactly warm, nor was it cold and heartless; there was an unusual intensity about him, but he was quite sincere in his words.

Sky was surprised when the arm went around her waist. She nearly turned around and slapped the person on the other end. She was mature enough now not to do it. The arm was rather strong and for a moment Sky couldn't help but touch it. "I'm sorry for give me." She said breaking free from Adney and bowing. Her blond hair covered her head. "Wow someone say hottie much." One girl called out adding in a wolf whistle. Sky raised her head to see the person. She stepped back a bit finally seeing his face. "Adney." She whispered out.

Allowing the girl to break free, he had only wanted to keep her from falling, and raised a hand to wave away her apology. "It's quite alright. Just an accident." he attempted a friendly smile, though his expression changed abruptly at the call of one of her friends. His brows rose in surprise at the comment, and he smirked faintly at the whistle. The redhead was about to speak when he heard his name; he looked back to the girl that had bumped into him, studying her face more carefully. It took him a moment, the blonde had certainly matured in the five years that had passed since she had graduated, and he pressed his lips together in a thin smile. "It's certainly been a while. I never thought I'd see you again, Sky."

Sky didn't let go right away. She took a good long look before she put her hand down to her side. He was still handsome and she certainly had changed. Her hair, her clothing, her attitude. She didn't know what to say. He hadn't talked to her all these years not even getting on letter. "I didn't think I would see you as well." She commented before turning towards him with her body straight. "Well I guess I can say sorry for the way I acted properly." She told him before turning he probably wanted nothing to go with her and she wasn't totally sure she wanted to have anything to do with him. She took a few steps towards her friends.

Show Me How To Lie....
The cheery light that had appeared in his eyes faded, and he simply shrugged in response. "You don't have to apologize. I kind of took the hint when you never wrote back." he watched her turn to go back to her friends, and while he didn't quite know where he was going, he moved to the edge of the sidewalk in preparation to cross the street. His vision had sharpened over the years, and he knew that the road would be impossible to cross for the next five minutes; afterwards, he would have to sprint to avoid the nutjob speeding up the road. Seeing an old flame again was nice, even if nothing had become of it. She had obviously moved on, if the lack of correspondence was any clue. Maybe she had a boyfriend, who knew. Adney supposed he could check her future and see, but he had decided not to watch her some years ago.

Even while Sky was walking away she was listening to every word that Adney said. Once he mentioned about writing she stopped and turned back. She then marched back to Adney as if he had just challenged her. "You didn't write to me. It's not like I got any letters." She commented annoyed that it sounded like he did. That would have made him a liar and it would have been good that she left when she did.

Show Me How To Lie....
Raising an eyebrow as the young blonde marched back to confront him, a genuine look of confusion crossed his face. "What do you mean you didn't get my letters?" the young man questioned, glancing briefly across the street. The gap between cars was drawing closer, but he knew Sky wouldn't back down if she thought herself right. "I wrote once a week for almost a year, and never heard from you." there was a faint hardness to his tone, as if the memory brought him pain; it was never easy being ignored by someone you had feelings for. "Your brother gave me an address after you graduated. How could you not get them?"

Sky pulled back and thought about it. Ashley would have given him the right address. There was no way he would play with a persons emotions. Not Mr. Drama Queen himself. "I moved right after I graduated. I wonder if my mother got them and just started to put them in a pile and waited for when I came over to get them. I never went home while my mother was around." She answered. She had moved to the dorms at the Sleeping Company for training and then stayed there after she got a job. Her eyes widened that must have been it. Ashley must not have known that she was moving into the dorms.

Accepting her response, the teacher considers it carefully. He wouldn't question her, it would only lead to problems, but he still thought it possible that she had just ignored them with the intention of never speaking to him again. "I see. That could certainly explain it." it was a shame she had never gotten them, and briefly he wondered what would have happened if she had. Mentally shaking away the image, it was certainly too late now, he glanced across the street. "I should let you get back to your friends. I have to deliver a present for my dear sister in law." he patted the small bulge in his coat where the pocket holding the small object was. He took a step towards the road as the last car moved past, ready to hurry across to avoid the speeding car headed that way.

Sky followed behind him. She wasn't done with him yet. It wasn't going to end just like that. She was curious about what was in the letters and about this sister in law. "Wait. What's in the letters and are you talking about the blue haired creep and That nice lady are married." She nearly gagged at the thought of such a nice person like Mizuki married to Pyry. The emotions of what happened after she left, not what Pyry did, was coming back flooding into her mind. All the tears she cried over the man that she found again.

Show Me How To Lie....
Resigning himself to answering her questions, the redhead opens his mouth to respond when she referred to his best friend as a creep. He let out a heavy sigh, his expression fading to neutral. "Stop calling him that. I find it hard to believe you wouldn't do the same thing if someone hurt either of your siblings." his tone was flat, as he was avoiding inflection of any sort. "He's a good man, and an even better husband. He's just very protective." he stopped there, knowing few would ever understand a bond such as theirs. He didn't answer the question about the letters, as the second part of he question needed more attention in his opinion; Sky had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Rye had written a most apologetic letter. Briefly, Adney wondered if the girl had even read it.
