It had been 2 weeks since the events of the surrounding, civilians had found their way home others had been lost to the void and some, according to the rumours, had been tainted and corrupted by the markings of chaos. Sailor Atë couldn't believe that for one second. How come someone who had seen and been though that battle be swayed to chaos? These civilians had been attacked from all sides, beaten beyond recognition. Some would have scars that would run more than just skin deep...and they still found reason in joining the corrupted!? It didnt make sense to the sailor scout. How could it. All she had seen was death and destruction done by the hands of the negaverse and the saving grace that was the sacrifice of those pure hearts...how could they just throw that all away when it was them who had saved everyone, who had saved her. Without it well,.....she just didnt even want to think about what could have happened...
She breathed out heavy. It was doing no good thinking about, no matter how much she tried to work it out she didnt have an answer and her mind returned to the patrol at hand. She stood surveying the park before her, her back resting on the truck of a tree as she steadied herself on a high branch. She looked comfy up there, like she climbed trees for a living but god did she remember the attempts at staying up one of these god dam things, and in HEELS! Yeah, she had some nice sized bruises to show for that but she couldnt deny an advantage of being this high. She could see almost all the park from her. The gardens, the memorial fountains, playing area along with nature trails and picnic spots. It was a beautiful area but deadly for Youma attacks. She wanted something to beat up tonight, needed something to beat up. She was almost hoping for a giant octopus thing to come out of hiding so she could slam her hands into its face. She wanted to de-stress after everything she had seen and the way Venice did that was chain smoking and Youma fighting, the 7-11 was closed so her choice had been made.
"Com'on you little shits where are you, I know your out there..."

While Atë was having trouble understanding how anyone could have fallen so willingly to chaos, Navi was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Her experiences out in the Surrounding had forever tainted her limited view on the white moon and their soldiers. She'd witness first had their selfish sacrifices and empty promises, and she couldn't see how anyone would grasp for that. The Negaverse might have been cold and brutal, but they certainly hadn't killed off the remaining civilians to create a shell to hide behind. Too many mistakes, too many sins. She would never forgive them for what they did and everything she had lost because of them.
Her allegiance was very firmly placed with her queen and their cause, and it was that duty that placed her within the park that evening. She was searching for mirrors, familiarizing herself with the area and and any and all possible forms of exit. It was just good planning her part, to be prepared.
She hadn't anticipated company though. The voice was faint, but in the quiet of the night it carried through the empty park, and pulled Navi to a sudden stop. She froze in her tracks, turning to listen. It hadn't been a familiar voice, so the girl knew better then to simply call back in response. Instead she crept along in the direction she thought the sound had come from, pale eyes peeled for any sign of a person or movement.
It wasn't until she was within the trees shadow that she thought to look up, but what she found within the branches brought a startled and not quite muffled squeak from the Dark Mirror Senshi.

The Sailor scout was obviously not looking that hard...well in respect she was looking for a 20ft monster, not a fellow Senshi like herself, so the soldier's appearance didn't register on Sailor Ate's radar, it didnt even signal an alert as she continued to stare out into the scenery. It wasn't until the sound came that she knew something was up...and she knew it was bad. "s**t...why do I always have to climb the trees that become youmas! WHY!!" That was a memory she wanted to keep locked away, she had the whip marks to prove it as she gingerly touched her back from the last branch whipping she had received. She wasted no time in getting of the dam thing though, she really, really didnt want another scar. She was collecting quite a few and seriously, their just not cool any more after the third or fourth one, no matter what movies tell you.
Leaping down she was still oblivious to the other girl, her mind completely on the giant youma that was suppose to fight her as she twirled back round to the tree that was...it was....still was a tree. "What the? That can't be right..." Her arms lowered from the defensive pose she had adopted on instinct and she stared. Stared at the branches, then the leaves, to the trunk, to the Sailor scout now back to the branches then the- "Whuh! s**t! OH...my god! You scare the hell out of me! What are you doing here!" The look on Ate face said it all, she had just metaphorically peed herself.
"I think...I think am having a heart attack..." She looked the girl up and down. She could tell straight away she was a Sailor scout, the power ebbing of her told her as much along with the crazy get-up but something...something wasn't right. It didnt help that Sailor Ate had never even met a DMC senshi before, she would need a little help working it all out.
"Who are you!? And what are you doing sneaking around my patrol!"

Navi's wide, startled stare grew ever more level with every peculiar action the other senshi took. Pale brows narrowing as it seemed the other girl was hastily descending from her tree on the theory that it had come alive to attack her. Uh huh...
Lips pursed, the senshi of tumbleweeds crossed her arms below her breasts and waited, a fingertip tapping impatiently along one of her forearms. It took a surprisingly long time for the other girl to finally notice her, but the startled reaction that fallowed was certainly worth the wait, and Navi could feel her lips twitching upward at the corners into an amused grin. That deer caught in headlights look, it was priceless. "You okay over there?" She teased, voice only slightly condescending. Atë might not have known who she was facing, but Navi knew exactly what stood before her.
It was all she could do not to let her distaste for the white moon court leak all over her features.
The grin only grew when she was questioned, and her head rose proudly, back straightening. "Sailor Navi," she offered simply, chuckling under her breath. "And I'm not sneaking about." Being quiet perhaps, but certainly not sneaking. She hadn't quite developed the knack for stealth in spike heels.
Rolling one shoulder in a shrug, the dark senshi wandered closer, hips rolling with every clicking step. "And who might you be?" She didn't bother asking what the other girl was doing, she had a pretty good idea.

Sailor Atë gave the dark scout a long hard look, really trying to work her out and it wasn't for few moments before she decided....that she was perfectly safe! Brushing the remnants of leaves and twigs from her outfit she pushed out a hand in temptation for the other girl to shake it.
"Sailor Atë! Senshi of Pollution! Am sorry for...that, am just...am still sort of new to all this. I promise you though, you should have been here to see me get up there! It was epic!" She added with a bright grin as again she tried to work out what was before her. There was still something very off about this girl, even though she didn't feel the same awful feeling a Youma or a Negaverse agent set off in her....but there was something.
"Your the first Senshi I've seen rocking the black look, what deal did you make with the cauldron to get that outfit? As you can see with mine someone was taking the absolute piss!" Her laugh rang out loud and echoing in the silent garden before them, they were all alone out here and Atë it....maybe she could do with a Patrol partner.
"Your not in the middle of a patrol are you? Can i tag along or you with me? I could always use your help! How long have you been....awakened? Did you try and steal the cat as well? Yeah...am still not allowed in the HQ because of that..."

Pollution? What an interesting sphere. It had the other senshi wondering about powers and the like, mildly curious.
Not that she could have easily found out, it wouldn't have taken much to turn their idle chatter into a fight, but Navi had her orders. She would do as she was told and talk first, and if reason didn't work? Well, there was always a chance for more physical persuasion later.
Was it wrong of her to hope such last effort means were necessary? Perhaps.
"In those heels, with that skirt? I believe you. Couldn't have been easy." She grinned, and save for the slightly coldness in her eyes it seemed friendly enough. There was a look about the other girl that suggested something was nagging at her, and she had the feeling that thing was her and her chaotic aura.
"Am I? I'm not the only one. We're popping up all over these days." She gave her fuku a little smooth with her palms, head tilting thoughtfully as she continued watching Atë. A little dense, this one. But that could work in Navi's favor.
She offered a mild blink when asked if she was on patrol, and rolled narrow shoulders before walking forward to close that lingering gap between them. The last thing Navi wanted to do was spent the evening on patrol with a white mooner, but it provided an excellent means to get closer to Atë, and that was crucial to luring the senshi away to the dark side. Ares would be very disappointed should Navi miss this opportunity. "I don't mind the company." She did, but the lie was convincing, as was the smile.
"I've only been awake for about a week now. Since the whole space fiasco." Even having decided to take her chance to get closer, she couldn't help but bait the other girl. Curious how much she knew. "And no, I didn't. I didn't have much of a chance."

Oh thank god someone to talk too! Atë hadn't joined a team yet so her nights on patrol were very lonely....unless she managed to tie a cute agent down and talk to them....which had sadly never happened. She twisted her body round to the open grounds of the garden and motioned for the other Sailor to follow. If anything bad was going to happen she wanted to be out in the open with minimal walls and or trees to be smashed into. She had leant that lesson the hard way and she was still feeling uneasy. What the hell was it!
"Only a week!? And your doing patrols already? Girl they had to wrench me from my bed hahaha! Joking, joking. This is all very serious business of course. It can get really bad out here, I've seen some horrible things...things i would rather forget." It was the only moment that the scout seemed to go quiet, serious even. Although the smile wasn't gone for long as she pointed out a few key spots in the public park that took her interested suddenly.
"There! Right there I managed to get this scar - " A quick flick of her leg brought her knee up high, a now newly healed scar could be seen beneath her tights as she jabbed at it with a gloved hand. "They dont tell you these Youma's can come in giant knife forms! So be dam careful ok!" She rolled her eyes in mock annoyance as she led the other girl forward. It was easy to see Sailor Atë saw scars like medals, if anything the more the merrier....she was a strange girl.
"I was there at the surrounding too, so much went down that night....or day. You can't really tell in space! I wasn't at the battle, there were too many wounded to see too and i had been told to stay behind....except when they just...died, yeah, then i didnt have much to do at all." It may have been blunt and heartless but the sailor scout was nothing if not too the point. She had sort of helped, and then when the civilians disappeared she may or may not have gone for a nap not realising what was actually happening
The strange cramp shoot through her again as she walked, again not as strong as a true chaos spawn but enough to be cautious. Maybe this girl was trouble.

Navi shrugged, a casual roll of her shoulders as she came up to walk beside Atë and out into the more open grounds of the park. "I'm doing Recon really, not yet patrols. Familiarizing myself with the area." The quieting of the other girl's voice pulled pulled the dark senshi's attention, and ginger brows lifted curiously. On the terrible scenes impossible to unsee, Navi could relate.
She looked to the scar as it was presented, smiling benignly as she explained about it. "I don't think I'll have to worry much about any youmas attacking me." And why would she? The Negaverse were her allies, they weren't likely to sick their pets on her. Unlike Atë, Navi had no scars, and she'd really prefer to keep it that way. An unlikely wish, purely superficial, but true all the same.
Hazel eyes turned to watch the Senshi of pollution as she mentioned she'd been in the Surrounding, and all traces of humor leaked away from the darker girl. Features hardening further at the casual, almost dismissive way she spoke of the civilian's mass sacrifice. She had to fight to keep her lip from curling, and just barely managed. "They all died to keep you safe. Not that they'd had any choice in the matter." She sounded bitter, and why not? She'd witnessed it first hand.
She still didn't know if everyone had returned. Recently she'd found Grant, and that had helped chase away a little of the depression that'd been swirling about her since her return to earth, but she still worried for the others.
"You were inside, you didn't see what happened out in that battle." And that perhaps, could be used to her advantage. She was a dense seeming girl, slightly simplistic. It shouldn't be too hard planting the seeds of doubt and failing faith in her mind.

Ate saw the tension rise in the girl like a wave, her own hair stood on end as she watched with hooded eyes. OK now she defiantly knew something was up. The cramps in her stomach were not ceasing and no matter where she walked it wouldn't let up. If there was a Youma or a Agent about she would have seen them or the feeling increased but it wasn't. It was just remaining, ever pulsing behind the scenes as she listened to her talk.
"Your right I wasn't there, but I've heard what happened." She slowly shook her head thinking of everyone who had died and a pang of annoyance hit her. She wasn't in the murdering civilians business, that was the negaverse's problem. To have all her hard work just evaporate in one mass sacrifice, well it pissed her off. She didnt travel in to OUTER SPACE to see the people she had just cared for just die!
"And even now i can't get my head round it...I can't even show my gratitude! I didnt even get to meet half the people out there and they died...to save the surrounding. To save the Princess and the Sailor scouts....to save me. I can never thank them for that...but i wish it didn't have to happen that way but...i guess where there is a ******** up thing called Chaos then events like that will continue to happen. Chaos caused that, it didnt have to end like it did!" She was getting angry now, not a Sailor Navi but at why they were needed at all. What world would have need for Sailor scouts? A ******** up one thats what. She hated it.
And then it hit her....
"If its the last thing i do I am personally going to choke the life out of every single little nergaverse s**t I find...including you." She turned quickly on the girl making her stand, her eyes now a mask of rage as she looked at her.
"I might not be the sharpest tool in the box but am not stupid girl! You think I wear this outfit for the fun of it? I sense things, I sense Chaos and I sense you. You reek of it. Your not a corrupted Senshi that much am sure. I can usually sense them a mile away, but you....your one of those aren't you!?" It took all her free will not to punch her in the teeth right then and there, but she needed to know.
"Why?"

Alas, the jig was up. Navi had wondered if the other senshi was ever going to figure it out. She'd been guess on no, but clearly Atë wasn't quite as dim as she'd originally thought. Not dumb per say, but not one to make logical leaps.
"Gratitude? Do you really think that's enough to make up for everything that's happened to them?" She chuckled, head tilting as she pushed a curl of ginger hair behind one pale ear. "You're foolish to think this is the fault of Chaos, they would have invaded either way. Those people, and I? We were dropped into the middle of your war, and how do you protect us? Sacrificed, to save yourself. Is that a cause you want to fight for? I certainly wouldn't."
Hazel eyes narrowed on the girl now standing across from her, and Navi merely stood there, arms crossing below her breasts. Not threatening, but certainly not completely impassive. If Atë came at her, she would be more then happy to defend.
"Why? You ask as if I had any choice in the matter." She snorted, eyes rolling before returning to Atë's pretty features. "Honestly though, if I had been allowed to pick my side, this is where I would stand." She shook her head, smiling. "You don't understand." None of them did, that's why the senshi of the Dark Moon Court were meant to convince them to cross over. "While you're here, fighting a war you have no place in, your planets and stars are withering and dying without you."

Sailor Ate couldn't deny what the Soldier was saying about the sacrifice. She didn't order it to happen, she didn't want it too happen. She would rather have gone down fighting but from what she heard it had just...happened. She never asked anyone to sacrifice themselves for her, especially the people she was trying to help. It all seemed a bit counter productive.
"Of course it not enough to make it up to them, nothing ever will! But choosing to fight against us? What good will that do! Chaos did make this happen. Without them there would be no us, we restore the balance but they have taken it too far! Can you even understand what they will do if they restore enough energy? Do you! Or are you just happy you get to float around in a pretty skirt while real s**t is going down!"
It was easy to see Navi's words had hit a nerve. Ate had never visited her home planet, didn't even know what state it had been left in or how bad it was getting even now. She wanted to return she truly did, but she hadn't been ready. Maybe she had been happy floating about in a skirt all this time and avoiding the elephant in the room. Her past life. She didnt really want to think of herself being someone else. She was her, plain and simple and yet...it wasn't true.
"We have to fight this war! You think that Chaos will just stop at Earth? Don't be so stupid and naive! They conquer here and then they will move on! My planet will be destroyed and dead if they do win! HELL EVEN YOURS WILL BE IN DANGER! I fight this war because I don't want to see any more innocent people suffer, I dont want to have my home planets sacrifice be in vain. I wouldn't let them win! And I wont let you win either!"
She took a step back now, her hands slowly coming up into a defensive position, preparing to punch Navi's lights out. She was so worked up she was shaking.

While Atë grew more flustered and ready herself for a fight, Navi merely stood there unmoving, a benign smile resting on pretty lips. She could see her words had struck a nerve, and though the other senshi was angry, she was also thinking, and that was the point.
"I'm not fighting against you," she said plainly, interjecting in a break in the other girls ranting. This shoulders raising and rolling backing in soft shrug.
She waited until Atë took a step back, obviously on the verge of attack, before striding forward to close that growing distance between them. She wasn't acting threatening, hadn't raised her voice, let alone a hand towards the other girl.
"You don't have a clue what it is they're really after, nor what my court is working towards. You have no idea why you're fighting, why the people on your own planet suffer and die while you're here participating in a war that has nothing to do with you." Her head tipped, smile slipping away. "You're home planets sacrifice will be in vain because you choose to remain uniformed and fight on blindly against whomever they tell you to.
A pale hand came to rest on Atë's shoulder as she moved past her to circle behind. "We don't belong here." Her tone of even, reasonable, despite the disgust boiling up inside her and very real urge to lash out. Ares wanted the senshi, and Navi would do as she was ordered, ever the good little soldier.

If the Sailor scout wanted to be seen as calm and collected she was doing a terrible job of it, flinching as the hand came to rest on her shoulder, her mind whirling with the best possible place to hit her and take her down with one shot. But the girl, chaos or not, wasn't acting threatening to her. She was the calm one, she was the one in control of this moment. And she was winning.
"W-what...do you mean? We are here because of the war. Because of what Chaos is doing. If it wasn't for Chaos I wouldn't have been born here at all. I would still be on my planet. I would still have the family and friends that were taken from me. You people did this!"
It was easy to see the girl was clutching at straws to fight back with. She couldn't find the words to explain, but she knew, knew, in her heart that she was on the right side. Sailor Navi wasn't.
"I think you have it wrong. But you don't have to be. Please, I can save you. You be apart of the Order, we are the good guys no matter what way you look at it. Mistakes have been made and I swear I will never let something like that happen. But it doesnt have to be this way."
Her body had relaxed, even though she could tell Navi was poised to strike if needed, Ate at least had now no interest in fighting the girl opposite. She would if she must, but she didnt want too. The girl was confused, tainted by Chaos without even knowing it. She needed to be shown the way just as much as any Negaverse agent. But if anything she knew it was all out of misguided advice instead of a true hatred.
"Please...don't do this."

Ginger curls bounced along pale shoulders as the dark senshi shook her head. "You are not. This planet belongs to the humans, not the White moon, they have no right to this place, but they are fighting for it like some invading force." Her fingers slide from Atë's shoulder and along soft skin until that lay still along the side of her throat. "You don't belong here." None of them did.
Her other had came to rest on the girl's other shoulder, and she leaned against her back, chuckling softly. "Chaos didn't tear you from your home to awaken you here to fight a war, your White Moon did."
The point of her chin settled lightly on top one of her her hands, and she glanced sidelong at Atë from inches away. The serene smile was a nice touch, even if there was no real sincerity behind it. "Save me? I've already been saved." She chuckled again, hands tightening in a soft squeeze against pale skin. "You're right, mistakes have been made, but you've got it wrong about the rest."
A grin slide along pale lips, and she tilted her head so the other girl could see her better. "My Queen has served the side of Order, as has my team leader. Both fought for what you think is good and just, but they were forced to do terrible, horrible things in the name of your White Moon. They have tasted both sides, and neither would ever go back to that." Navi had no personal experiences to fall on, but the stories of those she admired would work just as well.
"They were changed for the better, I was awakened into what I am so I could save you, and set you free from a war you have no business fighting in. Don't you want to go home?"

Ok now this was getting worrying! Was Ate seriously considering this girl? Even for a tiny second! It would appear so as she allowed the scout to basicly drape herself across her shoulders, her body tensing and un-tensing with every move she made. She still wasn't sure if she was just opening herself up for an attack. Surely she couldn't trust this Dark Mirror Senshi any more than she could trust herself driving past a MacDonald's and not stopping. She was just...she was just so confused.
"O-of course I do...No matter how I look at it I am not from this world, but I have been assigned to protect it! You can't change that fact! It it wasn't for the White Moon I would never have awoken, I would never have known my true self. And in that I have to respect and follow them!...I can't abandon those that save me..."
She looked across at the girl who's smile held a multitude of secrets and carefully prised away her hands, pushing her back from her body. It wasn't a harsh move, just slow and gentle to portray that this wasn't a fight. But Ate looked crestfallen either way.
"And i can understand why you fight for them now, because they saved you. But I won't let that stop me. I will show you that it's worth fighting against Chaos instead of with it."
She took one or two steps back. This conversation was over, no one was going to win here. Both girls had a set of beliefs that neither had cause to distrust and only time and experience would help either one of them now with their arguments. Although her eyes betrayed her tingled with sadness and regret the Sailor Scout adopted her best smile, a poor attempt to gather back her carefree attitude as best she could.
"Listen gorgeous, its been great speaking to you and I know, I know, it pains you to see me leave. But I have a patrol to do and your buddies to beat up and the only reason why your jaw isn't connecting with my fist is that well...I feel I at least want another go at convincing you. If you ever want to meet up again I'll be around. Step out of line though and well will have to put you down."
