Once known as 'The Sleeping Dragon Inn', a cheesy Chinese, but extremely cheap place to stay for any newcomers. The owner, now deceased, was a kind, rich, old man who had left the inn in the name of his children when he passed. Said children didn't stick around for long before they too left the inn without an owner, which brought the only employee left to become the official owner by some odd decision in the old man's will. The place then went through a large renovation to make it seem less 'Chinese' and more, well, normal looking. On the first floor, one will find the front desk just beyond the front doors, while, off to the left and taking up the majority of the floor is the restaurant with several tables, a nicely decorated dining room, and a kitchen just behind a pair of white doors.

The second floor, which can be found by going up the stairs just behind the front desk, is divided into two sections. Facing forward from the stairs, one will find the left four doors to be the smaller single rooms, while the right set of doors would be the slightly larger double rooms. Each one has at least one bed, a small table, a small television, a miniature refrigerator for personal use, a closet, and a bathroom with a shower. Another set of stairs going to the third floor has a pair of suites, both of which are the largest rooms of the hotel that are more like a small apartment, with a kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, average-sized bathroom, a walk-in closet! The entirety of the hotel has hints here and there of a cowboy-esque theme, though the owner couldn't afford to go all out with it.

Talia had released a small laugh as she heard her brother talk about finding her a suitor. 'Guess he really does wanna get rid of me.' Talia silently noted without any hostility. She was twenty-one now so maybe it was time she started looking. 'Or not.' The girl couldn't help but feel slightly bound by having to find a man. Instead she chose to accept that it would simply come with time. For now, she would give her response to the dear Mitsukai, "I would never pass up an oppertunity to go to a bakery. The smell of baking bread is just intoxicating. Much better than a man." Her face lit up with a smile as she watched her new companion. She hoped the women would like her humour.

Talia cared little as her brother by-passed the pair and headed into the building with a sour look written across his features. Instead, her mind went to the lovely building itself. Talia felt out of place beside the large inn. It was so unlike the homes of solid brick they had back in the east. It had ivy creeping around its lower windows that were each laced with a pair of wooden shutters. It gave such a cosy feeling to the very unfamiliar structure. Yet, she dared not linger long on the outside appearance in fear she would bore her company. Letting her amber eyes take to Mitsukai's, another warm smile cross her lips, "Why don't we head over now? I'm sure Ian will take my stuff up for me. It'll give him more time alone anyhow. Alright?" She hadn't waited for a reply to scurry into the building and drop off her bag to her brother who accepted it with a look of content.

Fleeing from her would-be home, the damsal giggled and ran past Mitsukai, taking the girl's hand as she jogged. "C'mon! Let's go! I'm so hungry!" Talia laughed, running away. She hadn't known where the bakery was exactly, but that didn't stop her.

It seemed like ages had passed before they reached the inn so once they did, Ian breathed a sign of relief. As the the pair began their pathetic conversations once more, the man felt no need to remain with them. Instead, his feet took to action and he made his way into the building. It wasn't exactly what he had been expecting, but it was nice enough to be considered 'clean'. Not letting his attention be distracted by anything else, the vet went straight to the front counter and leaned his weight onto one side. He didn't wait long to spew out his request, even if the worker wasn't in sight, "Excuse me. I don't mean to be a bother but I came here for a room. Two actually, if you have it. Some kind of suite." He hoped they had at least one set open. He would hate to live with his sister in the same room. Her babbling would be never-ending then.

While he waited for some service, he caught sight of his sister coming barreling towards him. His mind cursing that she would say something stupid. Instead, the woman asked him to bring her bags up to the room and left just as quick. 'Finally things are looking up.' He hadn't cared to bring the extra bag up in comparsion to getting rid of her for a while.

Riley was having a break from cleaning in the kitchen. Not that he was very hungry at the time, but mainly because he wanted to bother Keith. It wasn't his fault, the man was just so fun to tease. But, work brought him right back out of that when he heard the voice of some man that he couldn't recall ever hearing. He began creeping on tiptoe towards the doorway to see if Conor was going to get that, but of course, the man was nowhere to be found. Where were the two of them? It was pretty weird for them to both disappear at the... OH. Ohhhhhh. He couldn't suppress the laughter that came after he realized what should have been quite obvious. Work was causing his mind to be a little slower to think than normal. He straightened back up and looked at the man standing there, talking as if someone was listening to him. Man, he had probably heard him laugh, and who knows how long Keith and Conor could be.

He stood in the doorway, sizing the man up for a good few minutes. He couldn't decide how he felt about him, and didn't see anyone with him. Why did he need two rooms? What if one was for dead bodies? He should probably just stand here and wait for Conor to show up, but wait. That would make him look like a p***y. Or, maybe just lazy. Eh, he didn't look too bad, and he had some nice manners. Hedecided he'd better go greet the man, after a long conflict, and see if he could help him out any. "We've only got one suite open, my man. But, it's pretty roomy. Or, if you're really bent on having two, we've got singles and doubles open. Two of each, side by side if you want or down the hall from each other. We don't judge." He plopped down in the fancy chair and put his feet up on the desk, this was nice. He should play owner more often!"Oh, I'm Riley by the way, I work here, obviously." He smiled at the man, putting on his nice people face was difficult.

Ian was growing increasingly impatient as he waited around the front counter. He tried his best not to let his foul temper take to any of his features; however, once he heard a bit of laughter from the back room, the corner of his lip started to twitch. Hadn't these people known he had money to be making? A slight sigh escaped past his crooked lips as a man finally came into sight. Least this stranger wasn't so rude as to ignore Ian completely. His lipped stopped it's movement and was tugged into a small, welcoming smile that he tried his best to keep as he listened.

'Only one suite? Fair enough. I can deal - or rather, she will have to.' Ian mused slighlty to himself. When Riley had finished giving his name, Ian felt obligated to give him his own, "Pleasure. I'm Ian Valhal, the new local vet. Do you have any pets?" He managed a small grin, testing the waters a bit. If his man had a pet, surely others did as well. It was best to get his name out there anyhow.

Gently, before letting the man answer, Ian decided to add, "But about the room, a single and a suite if you would. I would like them as far away as possible as my 'company' can be a challenge to be around. I would avoid her if I were you. I've been trying for years but once she finds you, she never lets you go." He stretched his arms out as if helpless and shook his head. It was a bit of a joke, but more serious than he would have intended. After a few weeks straight with his own sister on a small crowded boat, he couldn't have imagined a different answer.

Riley kicked his feet off of the desk, knocking over some papers in the process. He simply looked down at them and let it pass, after all, he couldn't be bothered to be so rude as to bend over and pick up some papers while this man was talking! He nodded at the guy, showing that he had some interest in him before opening up the drawer and searching for the keys. "Little sister, I assume?" The drawer gave his voice a bit of an echo; he let another smile creep across his face although he had half of his body in the drawer so the smile couldn't be seen all too well. "But, back to your first thing. No pets for us, I'm not sure if they're even allowed in the inn. Never asked." He was now sitting back in the chair and looking down at the keys in his hands. "But, there's plenty of animals around this place, you should keep busy." He offered a cheap chuckle for the man's out stretched arm, guess it would've been funnier if he knew the girl. Where was she anyway? He could use some new hot a** to stare at. Hopefully she wasn't too young, but having her own room... surely she wasn't too young.

He threw the extra keys back into the drawer and stood up to walk over by the man. "No worries about the distance, you're on the third floor. Well, assuming that the suite is for you. The singles and doubles are on the second floor. Here's the suite key, Room 201, and here's the single, Room 101." He handed the guy the keys and picked up two of the bags. "I'll lead the way. First stop, Room 201!" He laughed at himself and turned to smile into the glass shelf, making sure he was still as sexy as he remembered from the last time he looked at himself. How long had that been? Like a whole half hour! He was slacking. He began up the stairs and looked back at the guy to make sure he was following, "You know. I had a gerbil once. It's name was Mrs. Papaya."

Ian failed to laugh as the papers were thrown onto the ground as it only seemed to translate as a mess with no commical value for the strict young lad. Moving on, he listened patiently to the man's answer, which was spot on. His lips kept their small, shy smile as he waited for an opening. Once the man had walked over to him, Ian noticed that Riley was slightly taller than himself. Normally, he wouldn't have a problem with this; however, today was an off day as he began to feel inadiquate. Ian would never voice this outloud, instead he tried to divert his mind with an answer, "Sounds good, and yes. That's what she gets for leaving me here with her stuff." He laughed trying to be friendly. He took the keys quickly and shoved it into his pocket with an unsure grin.

Slowly, he followed the man up the stairs. Going to his room first would be nice and would make sure that he got the better end of the rooms - which he was already sure he had with it being a suite and all. Yet, heaving both his bag and his sister's up the stairs behind the tattooed man, he tried to keep his facade of a smile smeared across his lips even as his mind bitterly spit hate at him. Through it all, he managed the joke of, "What she married then? Don't tell me your love for animals is so extravagant." He laughed again, hoping his humour would be accepted in such a far off place.

Riley continued up the stairs, bags in hand. He dropped them in front of the door at the top of the stairs and pulled out his own ring of master keys and unlocked it. He didn't want to have the man drop his bags and all, besides, this was a little way to show his authority. Like yeah, I got keys to all of these rooms in my pockets at all times. You have something weird in there, I'll call the cops. Okay, maybe not that extreme, goddess knows Riley had his own weird secrets, but he cleaned his own room. "This is the single." He picked the bags up and walked on into the room, dropping them by the bed. "You can leave whatever bags are hers and then follow me. Oh, and no. She wasn't married, but that's not the story I wanted all of the little perverted gerbils to believe." He continued laughing as he passed the threshold back into the hall. Sure, it would have been civil of him to grab the other bags and not walk empty handed. But, he had had enough of being civil today and wanted to just get this all over worth.

He walked the next flight of steps in silence, waiting for the man to get up to the next stop on this fun little tour. He went ahead and unlocked the door and stepped inside. He walked over to the dresser, dragging his finger across the wood as he walked past. He quickly examined his finger after that for dust, because if it was too dirty, he would look bad. The place was pretty nice, not that he didn't love his little double. It was home. He stood with his arms crossed, watching over the room.

Ian was a little annoyed to have to carry up Talia's bag as well. 'I should have made her take it up...' He silently complained, stomping forward. Finally reaching the first room, Ian quickly threw the bag onto the ground carelessly and closed the door, swiftly locking it behind him. Stuffing the key back into his pocket and reshifting his own bag on his back, Ian muttered a quick, "Thanks, Riley. And I understand - those male hamsters are notorious for lack of control." He laughed back, following once more. Now it was just his room that they needed to see - well, he needed to see - and then he could head off to work.

Trudging up the stairs, Ian asked, "What would you say is the best place to go in town for some quiet? I'm really not known to be a very social person." He looked up at the man slowly and waited an answer as they reached his floor.

As was previously stated, Conor was in the storage room on the second floor with Keith – but he would never say what he was doing. Because he wasn't doing s**t outside of having a nice, quiet, and ******** – ********, Keith could be a d**k. Conor wasn't going to vocally complain about how it was his inn and therefore he was in control and goddamned boss to Keith, though, or anyone. He wasn't going to be perceived as weak or some s**t because of a storage room meeting. No, Conor was going to seem as manly as could be as he left that room, standing tall and walking firmly. And as everyone knows, the only way to prove masculinity as a true man was to emasculate someone else – someone like Riley, who he hadn't wasted a second in grabbing by the shoulder the second he was in range, disregarding the man he was with. Not until he was done throwing Riley to the floor because, ******** it all, the stairs were too goddamned far from the suite they were next to!

He snorted irritatedly and cracked his knuckles as he turned to look at the other man (Ian). He stared at him for a good few minutes, looking to the open suite and then back at him. “...Are you ******** paying for that or him?” He questioned as he shoved a thumb back at wherever he threw Riley – he wasn't having the damned kid prostituting himself in his suite. They weren't a goddamned whorehouse!

Just when Ian had thought he was prepared for anything, another man came charging in. He was screaming at Riley and physically abusing the man. Ian had to rub his eyes to ensure he was simply not dreaming. It seemed impossible and completely irrational. In an ideal situation, Ian would have held his tongue and let the men fight it out; however, this would not be the case as the angry man dragged him into it in the most unusual and upsetting way. "Excuse me? I'm here for the room I paid for, but why should you care? Calm down and leave the host alone." Ian's face was cold and harsh. He hated the fact that this man had so boldy stepped into something that was none of his business - or that's how Ian saw it. He was simply a customer who had wanted to get to his work. Everything else was just a distraction including this hot headed man.

Coming out the same storage room that Conor had came out of, was Keith. Like Conor had just throught, Keith was... How to put it... Hard to do business with and, as the large smirk on his face showed, it was clear that he had came on top of that business deal, pun totally intended. As he walked pass Ian and Conor, snapping the snaps of his cook shirt that was still open, he winked at the blonde man, but not before looking the new guess up and down. Well, he wasn't being very obvious with his checking out; he had just happened to step on Riley that was laying on the floor, so of course he would have went up and then down. Without giving a damn about the man who was currently being walked on, Keith went back to his Kitchen before Alex threw another one of his fit because of him talking too long of a break.

Exit Keith~

~Enter from Harbor~

Isaiah walked into the inn, shortly after the other man left, carrying all his bags with him, not letting the girls help him carry them. He sighed looking around the room a bit noticing some other people around before slowly walking up to the counter putting down his things and waiting there. He was hoping to get a room quickly so that he could go out and see all that was in the town, from what he read and heard it was a pretty nice place. He waited there for a while, making sure to look around the room at all the things that were there, it seemed like a nice place, but most things did seem nice here, more wholesome than in the city.

Oɴ ᴛʜᴇ Sᴇᴄᴏɴᴅ Fʟᴏᴏʀ..

..What, seriously? This guy wasn't joking? Conor gave him a look crossed between disbelief and irritation directed at Ian this time rather than just at.. everything. “Why the ******** I should care? Dude. I own this and everything in it. This is my inn. And, 'host'? The ******** is the host?” He looked back at where Riley – oh, hey, Keith. He stopped his train of thought as the guy came out with a wink, rolling his eyes in return before he looked back to his.. customer, a hand pointing back in the direction Riley lay. “That? Dude, you're shitting me. That's the maid.” Goddamnit, did Riley go around calling himself the ******** host? He bet he was sitting in his chair again, too. ******** Riley! He suddenly had a reason to not feel guilty for taking his frustrations out on.. probably his only friend. Riley would understand or he was ******** fired.

I'm the owner and ******** if you'll treat me like your b***h!” He paused, glanced at the stairs to see if Keith was around to hear that. But, unfortunately, he was already downstairs. ..Or maybe that was a good thing. Either way, Conor turned back to new guy, crossed his arms, and went on in.. well, the same demeanor, but at least he wasn't shouting. “Now, enjoy your goddamned stay. Need anything, don't bug me with it unless it's really important.” And unless it involved Keith, himself, or cowboys, Conor wouldn't hear it. He turned around and headed back down the stairs to resume his post at the front desk..

Aᴛ ᴛʜᴇ Fʀᴏɴᴛ Dᴇsᴋ..

..Only to be met by an annoying face. He muttered a, “Why! Conor!” Talna called out the instant she saw him, waving slightly to Isaiah to follow her up to the front desk. She leaned over towards the boy, lowering her voice so the innkeeper couldn't hear it, “That there is Mr. Alvey-LeBlanc, owns the inn. He's one of 'em fancy homosexuals!” She added excitedly, always happy to see a fancy sort! She looked back to the blond as they reached the desk, meeting his prickly demeanor with calm. “This's Isaiah. Here to get himself a room. Ya can set him up real nice like, can't ya?

He gave her a long, hard flat look in response, though his usual string of curses were held back. Talna always reminded him of Gladice for whatever freaky reason and he always had trouble swearing around that old bag. ..Mostly due to her hitting him everytime he tried, but, ********, it was a damned condition response to be more 'polite' around women like that. Not that he called them women. He looked over to Isaiah as she introduced him, finding looking at the blond housewife really ******** annoying. “..Yeah. What do you want?” He asked as he pointed off to a sign hung up behind them where the rates were listed, all pretty cheap because Conor was too lazy to change the original prices from the first version of the inn. He didn't want money that much, jeez.

Ian was absolutely amazed when he heard the man utter he was the inn's owner. He suddenly realized why there was only one inn in the whole town: this man would kill any competition, literally! He was already attacking his own employees for goodness sake! Ian took a deep breath, attempting to hold any frustrations in. He wished to simply punch the man and be done with it; however, Ian was not a man to physically fight. He would simply find a way secretly to return the man's terribley ungentle behaviour. Maybe a nice rumour of prostitution that this man seemed to think of so easily.

It was amazing to Ian that he had kept his composure through the whole ideal, and sighed happily when the man left. He wasn't sure really want to do for the moment until his eyes fell upon Riley. Why the man and his...friend hated him so escaped Ian and he found himself - uncharacteristially - coming to the man's aid. This aid mind you was simply just helping him sit up and pull him out of the way of the stairs. He wished him a quiet good luck and goodbye before disppearing down the hall and into his room. In a matter of minutes, he would unpack, get changed, and be off to his first day at work.

Isaiah's eyes were still wandering around the place checking it all out when Talna snapped him suddenly back. He smiled and nodded, following her closely to the front desk. He was listening to what she said and nodded a bit. "Oh really?" He asked and then smiled. "Wow... this must really be a small place, I have never heard of a owner of a place working it before" He thought for a moment, thought that was the only thing really surprising he got from what she told him, there were plenty of homosexuals in the city, fancy and not. He was about to talk until Conor did, and he felt a bit a back hearing him. He noticed his tone like something was wrong, but he just shook his head. "Um.. like Talna said, I'm Isaiah... Isaiah Winters... and I would please like a room, Mr. Alvey-LeBlanc," He looked at the prices and nodded. "Um, yeah... and if possible... could I maybe get a room with two beds... my sister will be traveling here soon." He began to reach into his wallet, looking through it for his money, he had some saved up to keep a place for a little while.
