Azzo was sitting with his feet up reading a book when he finally looked up at the time. Grams was going to be home soon. He looked around the house, there were a few things out place that he needed to tidy up. Giving a frown he hopped up to start cleaning, she was going to kill him if he left the place in a mess. Throwing out old flowers, sweeping, dusting, doing dishes, getting new flowers. Azzo ran around the house trying to tidy it up straighten pictures and throw out everything that was old and needed to be taken to the trash bin or out to the recycle.
"Oh crap she's going to kill me for this mess!" He started picking up papers, and sorting through old mail. At least he'd kept up with the bills, that was a good thing right? He paused at letters he'd written but never sent, some of them he threw into the fire place. It was getting chilly so he knew grams wouldn't question a fire going as he threw on some logs and lit them.
He was filing away other things and working to make the living room and kitchen spotless. Washing dishes and cleaning plates. Heck he even cleaned out the fridge to the point nothing was left in there, which was a problem. He frowned glancing at the time again. "Oh damnit." He muttered before powering up. Normally he wouldn't but he was in a hurry and taking the roofs to the super market to fill up the fridge didn't seem like it'd cause that much of a problem.
However, as he jumped from roof to roof; he felt something following him. The knight paused and looked around, down to the street, nothing there. Behind him, nothing there either. It wasn't until he looked up that he saw it. "Oh sweet mother of molasses," Niflhel uttered as he grabbed his chain, the bird looking creature wasn't a bird at all. But more like a prehistoric flying dinosaur, he looked extremely unpleased with this turn of events.
With a roll of his eyes the knight grabbed his chain from his side. "Fine I'll play." He said before noticing the creature trying to divebomb him. "ACK!" The knight ran around the roof before twirling his chain and aiming for the creature's body. However, being that a moving target is always harder to deal with than a stationary one, Niflhel missed.
The first time was okay, Niflhel frowned however, and this was a tricky booger. He threw the chain again attempting to catch the monster; however it dodged the chain and came after the squire. "AGAIN!?" He glared watching the monster hurl towards him, jumping Niflhel tried to grab the prehistoric bird. He managed to get the wings however, they both landed with a crash on the gravel of the roof. Niflhel was getting scraped up but so was the youma.
There was a struggle between them in which the monster got away, actually retreating from him. "Hey get back here!" He ran, jumping roof after roof not able to catch the thing. He slid to a stop when he almost fell off the last roof right before the supermarket. "Woah...."
The squire was looking ticked off as he watched the monster fly away, "I'll get you." He swore before powering down and making his way to the super market. Hopefully that stupid bird wouldn't make him late getting back home Azzo loaded up on fresh groceries and then headed back home as quickly as he could. He wanted to beat Grams there to give her a proper welcome home. However, when he got there he found she'd already beat him back. He didn't even have time to clean up his scratches more than he had when he was at the supermarket. Lucky him they had those Lysol anti-bacterial wipes at the front door, it stung but he was able to clean the scratches enough he could get the shopping done.
"Ohh.... Hi Grams, Welcome home." He said as he slid in to the fridge, shoving the groceries he just bought in hoping she wouldn't notice the scratches.
"Hello pup." Grams was investigating the bags Azzo had brought home with him until Merlin came over and starting nudging grams happy to see her back. Barking at Azzo, "Oh hush Merlin I'm sure he did a good enough job keeping the house clean. It doesn't look that bad."
"Aha.... yeah I tried to keep it as clean as you would have." He was lying; however he took out a box of hot chocolate and held up the milk jug. "Do you want hot coco? I bought marshmallows too we could make s'mores!"
Grams smiled and nodded at her grandson. It was nice to be home, "You stayed out of trouble while I was gone? Didn't eat too much junk food did you?" She questioned him as he started making the hot coco and got the marshmallows ready to roast answering as he worked.
