Midnight in Destiny City.
A lone figure was perched on the edge of a low brick wall, one foot drawn up so his knee was against his chest, fingers linked together at the ankle. Celsus, Page of Chronos, was sitting in the quiet darkness that had laid itself over the city, his lips pressed together in a thin line.
His mind was convoluted. Hiding who was from everyone that he knew - with the exception of a few key people - was starting to become more difficult with each passing day. That, combined with his training and the slow going learning of just how to learn how to feel energy signatures, and he was rapidly becoming exhausted.
That wasn't going to stop him, however; if anything, Celsus was more than determined to prove himself an adequate member of the Zodiac. But everything seemed to be coming at him all at once. The nightly walks he took were a combination of patrol and keeping his senses sharp, his mind clear.
Something sizzled in the air near him - a sensation shivering down his spine.
A power signature.
Someone was around - someone that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. This was not someone like him, not at all - it was stronger, more powerful than both his own and the ones he had felt before, with the exception of the higher ranked Dark Mirror Court senshi.
Slowly, Celsus unfurled his legs, swinging them down in front of them as they bumped against the brick wall.
"Who's there?"

Heels softly clacked on pavement as the Dark Mirror Senshi of Burial stepped into the hanging light of a streetlamp, staring up at the boy sitting on the wall. He was such an oddly dressed boy, a Knight no doubt, with a funny little British accent to boot. He was weaker than her - she could tell by his power signature, and she could only assume that he was less experienced in this war than her. She hadn't heard of the presence of Knights until the most recent months, and she had been around for long before then.
"Who am I? I am Super Sailor Requiem," she started and combed her fingers through the side of her hair, combing it in front of her ear. "The Dark Mirror Senshi of Burial. Who might you be?"

The one who emerged from the darkness was not someone he recognized.
As the young woman stepped into the pale, yellow light drifting down from a stray street lamp, Celsus could make out delicate features, short brown hair that tucked beneath a pointed chin, and light grey eyes. She looked like she could have been near his age.
Except the power signature that radiated off of her suggested that he not underestimate her in the slightest, and Celsus felt himself stiffen just the slightest.
He kept the playful smile on his face, however.
"A pleasure, Super Sailor Requiem, Dark Mirror Senshi of Burial," he replied, tilting his head as he swung his legs back and forth in a childish gesture. "Such a rare treat, to meet someone like you out here. My name is Celsus. I am a Page of Chronos."
He knew they would not be talking for long - or at least, he assumed so, considering what he knew about the Dark Mirror Court. But Celsus kept himself as calm as he could, though internally his stomach had twisted in apprehension.
"What brings you out here, on a night like this?" he asked her, his tone light, despite the darkness.

"Since when does a girl need an excuse to spend a night on the town?" Requiem smirked, accompanied with a light laugh. Please, as if she had any resemblance of a social life these days. No, that would involve personal attachments, which she knew far too well only ended in heartbreak, disappointment and misery.
"Maybe I was preparing for some great plans. Maybe I'm just going for a walk. It isn't any of your concern, really," she shrugged. "Just as you are none of my concern, Knight. I have no business or care about you or your kind - the Senshi are the ones I am looking for. They are the ones I take issue with. That is, unless you are to take issue with me?"
She then took a step forward and said in a harsh whisper:
"P.S: I wouldn't recommend that."

Celsus lifted his brows, then glanced away, lifting his hands in a gesture of innocence.
"My my, so quick to defend," he said, offering her a placid smile. "I was merely asking a polite inquiry - no need to become so snippy, my dear."
He knew he was treading on dangerous ground - the senshi in front of him was most definitely not one that he knew, nor trusted, if the power signature he could read from her was any indication.
And the fact that she'd introduced herself as not only a member of the Dark Mirror Court, but also a Super Senshi, was sending warning bells clattering through Celsus' head.
He tried to remain calm.
"I take issue with anyone who is against what I fight for," he replied easily, as though the question were a light one that required a shallow answer. Then he gave a noncommittal shrug, smiling a bit.
"I don't suppose this will end very well, will it?"

"Not for you, I suppose," she winked. She spread out her hands and clapped them together before her, the tips of her fingers pointed at Celsus as she shouted, "Requiem Coffin Mummy!"
The ability causes the Page to be mummified with a light fabric and be trapped inside a wooden coffin that is locked for thirty seconds. The coffin can only be destroyed from the outside, due to impacts such as a fall or an attack, but in the process wooden shards of the coffin may puncture Celsus within it. As Celsus was on a wall at the time, Requiem had hoped that the coffin would fall and bring him down.

He didn't even have time to react.
"Requiem Coffin Mummy!"
Something flew towards Celsus, wrapping around his legs and arms, pinning them against his side. At the same time, there was an awful snapping sound, and darkness - the kind of darkness that seeped into his veins, cold and suffocating. His breath caught in his throat, inhaling a mouthful of cloth and dust, and Celsus coughed, his chest heaving.
This was not like it had been, fighting the youmas. He had fought with the two Dark Mirror senshi during the final battle, but they had been barely powered up, had no control or knowledge of their own abilities. But this was different - this was worse, in so many ways. Requiem was not just a Dark Mirror senshi - she was a Super senshi - and that meant she was much more powerful than Celsus could imagine.
He could not see what he was in, but Celsus caught the general gist.
A clunking sound, then he felt himself falling. His stomach dropped in a sickening way, and Celsus closed his eyes, waiting for the impact.
It was not pleasant. There was a horrible cracking sound, and light suddenly filled his vision, dim and filtered through the cloth. Several small things jammed upwards into his arms and legs, and Celsus bit back the cry of pain as he tore himself free from the bindings.
He was rather unsteady on his feet when he managed to stand, a grin crossing his face.
"Not bad," he agreed, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "I have to say, I don't really appreciate being sent to an early grave."
Celsus lunged forward and tackled her head on, throwing his arms around her waist and sending them both careening to the ground.

The Page had more willpower than she expected. Others would have run home after sustaining that type of injury. She was caught off-guard by it, and even more taken aback by his attack against her. He succeeded in tackling her to the ground - and she quickly rolled on the floor to get him off of her.
"That was foolish of you," she spat. She rose up with haste and took a few violent steps forward, swinging out her leg to try to kick him in the jaw while he was down.

It was not a good situation - that much was obvious, and he had the distinct feeling he was not going to win this fight.
But that did not mean he was not going to try his damndest.
Celsus rolled to the side, throwing his arms up just in time - rather than hit him in the jaw, Requiem's kick landed against one of his wrists. He bit swallowed the screech of pain that was dying to escape, blood starting to seep through the sleeves of his jacket. Quickly, before she could draw her leg back, Celsus had seized her booted ankle with both hands.
"I never was one to just sit back and relax," he told her with a grin, and swung his leg upwards, twisting around to slam the heel of his foot into her stomach.

Requiem's eyes widened in alert as the boy grabbed onto her leg, blocking her blow. Luckily, however, the state of alert fell into her advantage as she saw his attempt to try and kick her coming and was able to dodge. Then again, her leg was caught by the Page, so her manueverability was severely limited. As such, she ultimately fell down - falling onto the Page - using his body as a landing cushion as she fell onto him perpendicularly. "I warn you Page, I'm more experienced than you," Requiem growled. "You do not know who you are messing with." She then rose her elbow and quickly jerked it to slam her elbow into his neck, hoping to jab his throat enough to wind him or leave him gasping for breaths.

He let out a little oomph as she landed on top of him, flinching. A snort of laughter escaped his lips, in spite of the rather precarious situation he was in.
"I'm not messing with a beautiful and dangerous senshi?" Celsus asked her innocently. "Whoops, I guess my eyesight must need to be fixed, then."
A second later there was a horrible gurgling sound, his eyes flying open wide, his windpipe feeling as though it had been crushed - which, in a way it had, considering Requiem had jammed her elbow into his neck in an incredibly unpleasant and painful gesture. Celsus coughed, his throat feeling raw, the air in his lungs receding rapidly.
"That...wasn't...very...nice..." he managed to get out, in a hoarse voice, and reared upwards, flipping them both over so that he was now half on top of her, grappling with her wrists to try and pin her. But the blood from his previous injuries made his hands sticky and slippery.
"And here I...was...trying...to be nice."

kuromeez Please quote me in this thread when you tag me back! “Don’t waste your time with kindness,” Requiem laughed as the boy climbed up on top of her and pinned her wrists down to the ground. She tried to push him off her, and perhaps just didn’t put enough strength into it, but wasn’t successful. “Ooh, you’re a kinky one aren’t you? But I’m not interested in your kind. Or let me say that another way.” With that, she jerked her knee swiftly to attempt kneeing him just where it hurts – right into the family jewels.

"Like I ever said I was interested in you," replied Celsus as he rolled his eyes. "This isn't kinky - I don't believe I even know what that word refers to. It's just me attempting to keep you from strangling me."
Which was working - at least until he felt Requiem jerk beneath him.
Ow.
"Ow" was definitely an understatement. Celsus rolled off of Requiem with a gasp, flinching violently as he bent double, lying on his side. He knew he was already losing the fight - now all that remained was just how badly she would leave him.
If she even left him alive.
"Okay, that was low."

Requiem rose to her feet quickly and gave him a final swift kick or two to the ribs before gently placing her heeled boot on his cranium and applied light pressure.
"I will let you live this time, Page," Requiem threatened. "If I were you, I would be wiser and think about just who you are picking a fight with. The next time you might not be so lucky."
With that, she finished applying the pressure to his face by springing off it, leaping three stories into the air and onto the rooftop, hopping several buildings down to a discreet mirror hidden in an alley where she faded away into mirror-space.

He lay there on his back for several long moments after Requiem left, trying to figure out if there was a way to get up without causing a great deal of pain.
Nothing came to mind.
Considering that he couldn't just lay there pathetically until morning, Celsus finally managed to scrape himself up off the ground - wincing and muttering curses under his breath with every tiny little movement - and hobble towards the wall that he had been sitting on earlier. He rested his hands against it and closed his eyes, breathing slowly.
Now I've seen what they can do.
Silently, wondering how he was going to explain this to Tolliver, Celsus made his way slowly home.
