PostPosted: Sat Oct 22, 2011 5:34 pm

Username: ProtoXtreme
Name: Xing Shyao-Ren
Name Meanings: Shyao=Little, Ren=Wolf
On his British Citizenship Certificate & Passport: Sharen Alexander Loisel
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Half Chinese (father), Half British (mother)
Birthplace: Shanghai, China
Rank: Of the Loisel Baroncy, New Exorcist to the Black Order.
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Hair: Raven-haired
Eyes: Like his mother Madeline, Shyao has very prominent partly-heterochromic eyes: they're a gorgeous iridescent emerald-turquoise, which under different lighting can either appear hues of dark emerald, different shades of sapphire tinged a little with pale violet, or a mixture of all three.
Appearance: Shyao is half Chinese and half European. Delicately built, he takes more after his Chinese father, and does not have the prominently sharp European jaw (though it may perhaps be too early still to tell) but inherited his mother's very fair, unblemished European skin. He has fair hands, like a girl's, and long, delicate fingers: a musician's fingers. With long, soft dark hair framing his face and curving dark lashes, Shyao resembles something like an antique doll. And deceptively so. Considering Shyao greatly hates such comments on his looks...well, it should be just left that even before he got his Innocence, his experience with the martial arts is truly something to be feared. Don't call him girly. He'll do everything to prove you wrong: by force. Chivalry doesn't happen to quite exist in Shyao's book, either.

Height: 157.5 cm (5'2'')
Weight: 41 kg (90 lbs)
Birthday: June 24th
Horoscope: Cancer
Bloodtype: AB
Techniques:
Elemental Control - The Innocence fragment Jitsuzai holds jurisdiction over reality: the first form of Seiren's power lies in its manipulation (Jitsuzai can manipulate reality, but cannot fabricate its own reality). The first and most basic form would be for Shyao to transform this into an offensive power by reconfiguring the elements, or in an area where a certain element is scarce (e.g. desert with no water) to summon it (in that case by gathering the water from the atmosphere). The techniques of Seiren focus on drawing out an area (separating the reality of that area) in order to manipulate the space and resources inside in different ways or in the form of different types of attacks.
Phoenix Wind Needles - Forms multiple senbon from the air by manipulating the wind to wrap around wind, which is then fired at the enemy. These are capable of acupuncturing an Akuma cleanly through and are more effective than just using Seiren's normal cutting edge. Unfortunately, this appears only to be most effective on Level Ones, and despite how it looks, the Phoenix Wind Needles is effective most as a single-target technique but gives the illusion of a multiple-target attack. The first time Shyao synchronizes with Seiren, he gains usage of the Phoenix Wind Needles.
Phoenix Flower - The usage of the second technique is gained once obtaining 84% synchronization. Jitsuzai would use the very air and the energy drawn from Shyao as a fueling and combustion source to form many petals of fire, which can then converge into pillars of flames. It's very pretty to look at, this technique. This technique is very suitable for combating Level Twos and can be used as both a singular and multiple target technique.
Call Forth Kouryuu - This can take two forms: the first is to manipulate existing sources of water into highly-pressurized attacks (to boiling point, which requires 89% synchronization) while the second method (at 94% synchronization) is accessed when Storm Control is gained to call forth the rain and enabling the user (at such a point of mastery) to draw water from the atmosphere itself for attacks, thus having no need to depend on a real water source for manipulation. This technique mainly targets Level Twos (though gaining strength in time, at the point when the second form of this water style technique can be used, will be effective against Level Threes as well). It can be used as both a singular and multiple target technique.
After breaking Critical Point, Shyao will be able to use water drawn from the atmosphere to form Seiren's gauze, and will no longer be restricted to form the hagoromo utilizing the plasma from his own blood.

Wild Kirin Fang - When Storm Control is accessed and thunderclouds are gathered in the area, with Seiren, Shyao can manipulate the lightning from the heavens to descend and wield the bolts to smother multiple Akuma at once. This technique is effective most on Level Twos but when mastered to a far enough extent, can also strike down aerial Level Threes. This technique requires at least 94% synchronization with Seiren. If they survive, paralysis will also set in on the limbs of the stricken targets.
Ceres' Destructive Fury - This earth affinity attack (requiring 97% synchronization rate) will only be able to be accessed when Shyao gains access to gravity manipulation and is certainly Seiren's most powerful offensive technique prior to breaking Critical point. By increasing the gravity toward the center of the Earth at a certain point until far beyond the Earth's capability to withstand it, he can thus create false fault lines, and thus trigger extremely violent earthquakes. This is useless against aerial opponents, however, and is dangerous to not only Akuma, but to humans as well. So Shyao would try to avoid it, even if it can destroy Level Threes with ease: he doesn't want to destroy human beings along with them.
Storm Control - First gained with 84% synchronization rate. This grants temporary modification of the weather (calling forth storm clouds or banishing them) but only at a certain set radius depending on Shyao's strength (usually covers about the size of a small village though when Shyao increases his synchronization rate, he'll be able to use his power more effectively to cover storm control over a whole metropolitan city). If he collapses out of energy thanks to Seiren draining his strength, the weather will revert to normal eventually and follow once more the usual wind patterns. After breaking Critical Point, Shyao would be able to use this ability to form secondary techniques for certain elements (e.g. in the form of manipulating the weather such as in the creation of natural disasters: tornadoes, blizzards, and dust storms).
Gravity Manipulation - First gained at 88% synchronization rate. This is another supplementary form which is gained when Shyao obtains greater command over his Innocence. This type can be used to allow him aerial combat or walking on the surface of water, however, such a kind of gravitational manipulation can only be done on himself and on no other.
    (Accessed when surpassing Critical Point)
Truth of Reality - It is only after Critical Point (after 100% synchronization rate is broken) when Seiren will finally unveil the true meaning behind the Innocence fragment Jitsuzai's name: Jitsuzai will be able to now shield its user from enemy attacks that focuses on warping reality and its ability is to force reality to remain as it is: the cancellation thus of powers that shouldn't belong (Noah and Akuma powers gained from evolution, as well as the powers granted by Innocence). However, Shyao cannot go into offensive mode with Seiren when using this ability (so strong this technique's effect is that even Jitsuzai affects itself within the boundaries of its own ruling field) and it only lasts as long as the field drawn by Seiren's spell remains in place.

It's pretty much a last resort, because it renders everyone inside helpless and even then, the Akuma still have their bullets. So people can still get killed for getting shot, even if the virus itself of the bullets is neutralized. Bullets are bullets. Neutralization effects under Truth of Reality jurisdiction continues on even until afterwards: though Noah, Akuma, and Exorcists will regain usage of their powers after Jitsuzai's spell ends, if one is shot by an Akuma when this technique remains active, however, the virus is permanently neutralized (though the bleeding will have to be tended to separately).

Zekkai (World Rejection) - Requiring at least 115% synchronization rate. Using Jitsuzai's power, Shyao would force the drawn area to deny reality: Jitsuzai, while it cannot bring back the dead, can be used in such a manner to heal the dying and to mend their wounds as well as to draw up powerful shields that surpasses those priorly made by the elements. Usually, this technique will precede Absolute Zero, but to utilize Absolute Zero on a grand scale, Shyao must form a zekkai shield covering first every one within the area he intends to not be destroyed in order for them to be protected from Absolute Zero's corrosive effects.
Absolute Zero - Seiren's most deadly offensive technique, requiring at least 125% synchronization rate. Everything in the drawn field will become nothingness, as the temperature swiftly lowers, until reaching a scientifically impossible degree: absolute zero, where no life exists, and the very atoms are destroyed. In order - not - to trap his teammates inside or other innocent casualties, Shyao must spend quite some time and energy concentrating on erecting powerful shields with the zekkai technique. Absolute Zero cannot kill the Noah familia, whom have regeneration capabilities far beyond the atomic-level destruction rate. However, as it is a gradual lowering of the temperatures, it gradually destroys Akuma of various levels (so Level Ones are the first to go), and when reaching the final state of nothingness, even Level Four Akuma would be destroyed. The only problem is that Shyao will be out of commission for twenty-four hours at the minimum afterwards, regardless of synchronization level, due to the intolerable physical drain.
Open Avalon's Gateway - Requiring past 100% synchronization rate. Just like in the legends of the ten'nyo people's hagoromo robes, Seiren will be able to now reach out and weave together the threads of reality between two spaces and thus connect them. But since Seiren will create no gate like the Noah's Ark or the Eldest's ability but actually rip reality [time/space] before threading two spaces together to create a temporary connection, so this technique only allows as far as how many people Seiren can be spread around (generally, when without extending Seiren's length, this typically includes Shyao and a guest). Shyao would throw Seiren into the air, which would encircle the area of its master and the passengers, thereby teleporting them in such a manner.

    Traveling Waistbag
    Blanket
    Sleeping Bag
    Collapsible Tent
    Sheet Music and Scrolls
Evil-warding Talismans (they don't really work!)
Twin daggers (the fancy kind with a gold-carved sheath)
    His mother's heirloom pendant
Black Order's cycloptic bat golem. Why does it only have one eye!?

In Depth: Shyao can seem to be cruelly sarcastic, but he is actually very kind and thus noble in his own way. He prefers an indirect method of helping people, and prefers not to tell them that he was the one to help. The type of "in the shadows" benefactor. It both exasperates and frustrates him that his Innocence has designs on judging humanity, to whom Shyao remains adamant in his opinion that even if it is "God's Crystal", Innocence is not God himself. Thus, it holds no right to "judgement".

Innocence: He was discovered as the host to a certain fragment of Innocence that had been causing earthquakes and trouble in his home city [London]: Jitsuzai, the fragment of Innocence which holds jurisdiction over "reality". His weapon, which Shyao imperiously renames Seiren, is a parasitic type that uses his blood as a medium to form the hagoromo robes of the ten'nyo people of legends (equivalent to angels in Chinese myth): when Seiren is released, blood pours from the stigmata-like cross engraved on both his wrists and thus forms the crimson cloth. Seiren can extend striking distances by manipulating its own density, however when the maximum limit is reached and Shyao still yet wills his Innocence to reach a even further distance, Seiren will need to then draw more blood.

Jitsuzai's medium appears to be the plasma of blood, and the Innocence fragment, when it infected Shyao, broke into two: with one piece embedded in each wrist. With the fragment being able to command and manipulate reality, Shyao can make the cloth metallic by manipulating its density, thereby enabling Seiren to cut through things with its edges and also for the cloth itself to be used as a form of defense. However, each time Seiren is invocated, it takes fresh blood, which is certainly not good news for Shyao. After breaking Critical point, Shyao can actually substitute water in the atmosphere to form the hagoromo in replacement of blood plasma. A secondary appearance of post Critical point synchronization, Seiren will actually form the complete hagoromo robes: which, besides Seiren's usual form, will also don over the Exorcist uniform what appears to be imperial Chinese robes. Because the hagoromo cloth itself no longer uses blood plasma as a medium post Critical point, it no longer appears red, and instead appears pure white. This is akin to full body armor.

Jitsuzai (special information): Like all parasitic types, Jitsuzai merges with the body's somatic cells, making them "inhuman". In Shyao's case, when he tried to forcibly remove the shards from his wrists, he made the unpleasant discovery that Jitsuzai had actually melded with his blood, thereby making it impossible to be removed. His Innocence, in the first encounter with the Noahs, originally took the form of a great serpent [like that in the Garden of Eden's legend] which bit the place of the Akuma virus infection in order to cure his body. Because Shyao saw the aura of the serpent form as the headless Innocence angel, as it unfurled its wings, he called the Innocence "Seiren": a subconscious memory to which he does not realize that the original "Seiren" was actually the name of his father's Innocence.

Jitsuzai shows a relative amount of freedom in acting against her master's will, though if Shyao fights his Innocence enough, he could still force it to deactivate at this present point of synchronization. He can communicate with Jitsuzai, though at this point it's rather one-sided, with Jitsuzai trying to give him advice, and Shyao on the other hand believing himself delusional. However, when his synchronization rate rises, particularly into the eighties, Jitsuzai is expected to display even greater influence over his body, including increasingly more events of forcible body-possession in order to protect her master. However, doing so would most likely decrease his synchronization rate in the long run. In Seiren's possessed state, Shyao's noticeably iridescent-blue eyes becomes the same kind of ethereal green as Innocence.

After breaking Critical Point, Jitsuzai will gain a second (metaphysical) materialized form: a ten'nyo angel, who only Shyao can see, and she speaks to and communicate with him freely in his mind (e.g. like Tsukikami does with Timothy) - a form of telepathy. Jitsuzai holds a great love for her master, and guards him very enviously, not allowing either Akuma nor Noah to harm him...she even displays hostility towards some Exorcists too. Hence as Rhode Kamelot had once commented, Jitsuzai is a fragment of ironies.

Synchronization Rate (starting): 72%
Current Synchronization Rate: 89%

Likes:
Books - Any kind of books. As long as they are serious, and are not simply silly romance novels. There's something seriously wrong with these Victorian people's minds...
Drawing - Give Shyao any artistic equipment and he'll be sure to produce something very beautiful. He finds it as a sort of meditation activity.
The Flute - Because he can play that thing and darned well at that, too. Shyao earned a number of trophies in London for musical competitions and even performed for Prime Minister Kamelot [at the time, never realizing Sheryl Kamelot is a member of Noah's clan].
Weiqui (the board game is also called Baduk in Korean and Igo/Go in Japanese) - Quite the strategist, Shyao had actually been good enough to be offered the chance to go pro (back in China). He preferred his law books, however.
Chess/Checkers - If one can master the complexities of Weiqui, Chess being much simpler tactic-wise (just with more difficult game rules), is no problem. He also refused professional recognition in this area.
Martial Arts - Self-defense and, well, ego-defense. Shyao would've surely been a blackbelt, had he not moved to England. Shyao's choice of weapon based martial arts? No flashy swords or anything for him but twin daggers: weapons that can easily be slipped into the sleeves. Due to an early fostered respect for Chinese medicine (and very good instructors), as well as 25/20 perfect vision, Shyao is very critical in the exact areas of the body to attack.
Cooking - Shyao is very practical, though he and his uncle are on a constant deadlock of his presence in the kitchens. (The boy claims in the case he needed to learn how to cook, he should have that as a skill.) Yep, survival reasons primarily drove him, though recently he had taken interest in preparing Chinese cuisine simply because British food had grown intolerable. Their meat - awful! So he preferred his Asian steamed vegetables.

Dislikes:
Anything Noisy: meaning mainly those annoying little animals that brings up a rather not pleasant reaction from him or little brats in general. Anyways. His concentration may be quite impressive, but he dislikes things that try to test his patience. Particularly when he is reading and is disrupted, there better be a good reason for the disturbance.
People who judge him by his appearance. Shyao - to his mother's dismay - is not afraid to show the unexpected physical strength bestowed by martial arts.
Crazy noblewomen. And women in general.
Shyao greatly values education. He enjoys all subjects except Religion. He swears that it is a grand brainwashing plot.
Hard physical work he dislikes in general.

Trivia:
Spoken Languages: Fluency in Chinese and British English. He studied Latin to fluency as well.
    Favorite Color: Aquamarine
Egyptian blue (irtiu, sbedj) was made by combining iron and copper oxides with silica and calcium. This produced a rich color, however, it was unstable and sometimes darkened or changed color over the years.

Blue was symbolic of the sky and of water. In a cosmic sense, this extended its symbolism to the heavens and to the primeval floods. In both of these cases, blue took on a meaning of life and re-birth. Blue was naturally also a symbol of the Nile and its associated crops, offerings, and fertility. The phoenix, which was a symbol of the primeval flood, was patterned on the heron.

Herons naturally have a gray-blue plumage. However, they were usually portrayed with bright blue feathers to emphasize their association with the waters of creation. Amon was often shown with a blue face to symbolize his role in the creation of the world. By extension, the pharaohs were sometimes shown with blue faces as well when they became identified with Amon. Baboons, which are not naturally blue, were portrayed as blue. It is not certain why. However, the ibis, a blue bird, was a symbol of Thoth just like the baboon and was also portrayed as such. It may be that the baboons were colored blue to emphasize their connection to Thoth. The gods were said to have hair made of lapis lazuli, a blue stone.

Favorite Flower: the Night Blooming Cereus
A rare flower that blooms only for one night in only one time of the year and dies the very same day. In Asian legends, the Night Blooming Cereus flower in pairs: to pluck one is to kill the other, hence their mythological association with lovers who always yearn for one another: "the short lived love". Despite this, the Night Blooming Cereus actually has a positive connotation as well as the hope for a second meeting "just once more".

    Favorite Gemstone: Emerald
The green color of the emerald is the sign of spring, and ancient Egyptians believed that emeralds stood for rebirth and fertility, and could ease childbirth. Many mummies would be buried with an emerald around their neck, in the hopes that it would bring them eternal life. Often times, the emerald was worn as a talisman, because of the belief of its ability to ward off evil spirits and demonic possessions.

Emeralds have often been used to provide protection on journeys. It is believed that one who is in possession of an emerald will be provided with the protection of God, blessed with good fortune, posses mystical powers, have strengthened memory, intelligence, and the ability to predict the future.

Emeralds are also believed to hold healing powers: both emotional and physical. It is believed that an emerald can lift depression, cure insomnia, detoxify the blood, and cure ailments of the heart, eyes, pancreas, backbone, lymph nodes, intestines, kidneys, and thymus. It is also believed that emeralds alleviate complications of diabetes and enhance the immune system.

Emeralds have long been used for their emotional and mental powers. Many believe that wearing an emerald will provide will power, mental clarity, and the easing of stressed states. The emerald is also associated with providing love and fidelity, inspiration, wisdom, harmony, growth, patience, peace, and abundance.

Favorite Food: There's leeway concerning food, due to living circumstances (had moved from China to England, that is two very different types of cuisines). So if the food is good, Shyao will try it, though he still craves the spice fish egg noodles back in Shanghai if only someone could make it.
Favorite Subjects: Things relevant to law. World and British History primarily, but also Literature and pursuing strengths in language (both native British and foreign).

Love Interest/Crush: None. Women are troublesome creatures, you know.

Past: From the Ashes
Theme: Higurashi - Dear You (Hope)
"No...there's no such thing, as monsters..." -Xing Fenryou, to Shyao
User ImageLiar.

His father was a liar.

Shyao's mother, Madeline Loisel, was born of an English noble family, an ambassador's daughter, but was disowned when she ran away, eloping with Xing Fenryou: a man to this day she remained unknowing that he was an Exorcist - a General - of the Black Order. In Shanghai, she was forced to leave Fenryou, by his insistence that it was for the better, and for their newborn son, Shyao. He had explained nothing, however, so Madeline remained stubborn and secretly rented a house in the area while raising her son alone on a single mother's strength.

Fenryou was furious when he found out, but alas, he could not leave his most beloved person and his only son, and so, he made amends and returned as often as he could to the city. Or as much as his work allowed him, claiming to the Order that he was searching for apostles in China and thus so conveniently visited Shanghai whenever he could.

For a time, the days rolled by peacefully. Madeline raised the boy mostly on her own, and little Shyao grew up. Gradually, both father and mother taught him many things. Madeline taught the boy music and the arts, when Fenryou, having come from a traditional family of scholars, taught the boy to master calligraphy. Soon enough, Shyao was reading on his own and the strange child was so ardent in learning that he would read his way quickly through the vast collection of scrolls in his father's ancestral house.

But law fascinated him the most, though Chinese advancements in medicine were also quite impressive to his young mind. Under his father's insistence, he took classes in martial arts, but his mother, refusing for her only son to grow up a brute, cultured his appreciation for the arts. His father contributed too, and taught the boy how to play board games, quickly recognizing the child for his prodigious penchant for strategy.

One day, when Madeline left Shyao with Fenryou to buy groceries from the market, there was an Akuma attack on their house. The General used his parasitic-type Innocence to shield Shyao and the vulnerable who had happened to be close by (the pedestrians whom were unfortunate enough to be too close when the house was blasted to ruins) with an illusion and veiled them from the Akuma's notice. But Shyao...Shyao hid despite his father's order to run while the spell remained active. The child did not want to leave his father behind with the monsters. Not far from his hiding place, the kitchen cabinet, his father was killed pretty much right before his eyes, to the horror of the eight-year-old child.

The passerbys were too stunned to have the good sense to run while the Innocence's spell lasted, nor was there time to flee from the swift Level Threes once their attention were swayed, their prior duty accomplished. Senior Exorcists arrived, but it was too late to save the General or the people, and they only had time to just barely salvage the shards Fenryou had carried, for immediately when Fenryou's Innocence ended the illusion shielding the other fragments from notice, the General's own Innocence broke: the spirit of its host had already departed, after all, and the General's fragment itself crumbled to dust as it at last gave in to the Dark Matter's destructive properties.

Madeline, when she returned and saw only the ruins, in her devastation was convinced that Fenryou had been murdered...however, no one could explain the death, for there were no noticeable markings on the body and there was only devastation around the house, but no witnesses, not even their corpses. By the time she had returned, those from the Order had already departed.

So the only witness was the unspeaking child. When the doctors examined the child, they claimed psychological trauma. Shyao had stopped speaking completely and then, he fell ill. Shyao would never know how close his mother came to be sold out by a broker to the Millennium Earl. But when he fell ill, Madeline found strength to live again. She could see Fenryou in the next world, but only when the time comes.

For now her dedication was to her only son.

But finding too much sorrows to remain in the city of Shanghai, Madeline took Shyao with her, and they returned to England. But how was she to find the means to support herself and her little boy...? Fortunately, by a stroke of luck, she found that her older brother now held the position of baron in London, and Michael was more than glad to welcome his beloved little sister back.

Gradually, over the years, Shyao healed.

But there seemed to be gaps in his memory of that incident.

Self-induced amnesia.

He does not want to remember the monsters of his nightmares.

Ambition: They did say 'wishing was dangerous'.

Ohoho.

So he was told a bunny rabbit man and his goons are planning world domination and that it is his duty as one of 'God's Disciples' to foil the evil bunny rabbit man's plans.

...right. There has to be a limit to borderline-no, to such insanity! He wasn't even Christian! All he ever wanted was to finish school, become a lawyer, buy a house, maybe own a modest carriage with horses...if there really is a big guy (aka God) up there, can he at least get a bonus for working as his henchmen...?

If there's a God...
...he changed his mind that his life was boring.

It's - too - exciting now!

Fear: After his first mission to Switzerland, Komui compiled what was learned from the examination of Shyao's blood samples. The plasma contained traces of Jitsuzai's presence. Since the Innocence had actually infected his blood cells like a virus and is spreading through somatic cell division, this means very soon enough, his whole body will technically be Innocence: but because that means the Innocence's unnatural power is exposed to all cells, with none spared, it is a power that comes at a terrible price. His lifespan will be even shorter than most parasitic-types, six years estimated - eight if he is extremely lucky. But what Shyao fears is not death, for he would've never faced against the Eldest without fear otherwise. No, what Shyao fears is for his mother, if she should outlive him.

Relationships: Madeline Alexandria Loisel
He cares for his mother greatly, but sometimes finds her over-concern a little overbearing. Shyao is only gentle (sort of) with her, however...he is unable to fulfill her wishes of learning these strange...English customs. Why should he be chivalrous to these frightening hags who powder themselves to oblivion?

Michael Warren Loisel
While his uncle adores his nephew, sometimes Baron Loisel finds the boy's arrogance and overbearing attitude just a little - too - trying on the patience. He can't seem to comprehend why Shyao refuses to settle down as a proper gentleman and learn the appropriate customs. Nevertheless undaunted, he is still trying.

Rhode Kamelot
He does not hate the Noah of Dreams, ironically, even though her twisted dream world showed him Skin Bolic's terrible transformation. With the guidance of Jitsuzai, he was able to find the lost memory, her own transformation, which ultimately had set his opinion early of the Noah clan and what he suspects (quite correctly) to be a war more ancient and more intricate than he would ever like to know between the Exorcists and Noah's Family.

Chou
He first met the Level Two Akuma after waking up from Rhode's dream. The two quickly got along (Chou believing Shyao was a girl because "he was pretty", with Shyao unknowing that she is an Akuma). Needless to say, Shyao wasn't very pleased about being forced to leave Chou before he could even properly talk to her more, because the Irish drug over-lord [Sokaro] dragged him away.

Winters Sokaro
The "Irish drug over-lord" (Enari insists he's Mexican). Ambivalent relationship on Shyao's part, though Sokaro thinks the boy one of the most annoying things in existence. Shyao very well knows this, and suspects Sokaro only agreed to take him particularly because of the nature of his Innocence. Shyao is unknowing yet, however, of the fate of Sokaro's previous squad at the hands of the Noah Tyki Mikk.

Enari Riven
Ambivalent relationship on Shyao's part, though it is without a doubt that Enari loathes his very existence. Shyao could care less of her approbations, though. But it is a lot of fun to make her fume if only just for the sake of boredom.

Komui Lee
A strictly formal acquaintanceship. Shyao is still not happy with learning the truth about his father, and refuses any of the Supervisor's attempts to de-formalize their association.

Devon
One of the Finders of the Order, who had been stationed in Switzerland. Devon was called to London to investigate the curious fault lines: fault lines which were not natural and that were Jitsuzai's doing. As a result, because Shyao's first mission was to Switzerland, Devon became the group (Sokaro, Enari, and Shyao)'s guide. On the train ride, Shyao learns three things about Devon: a) he knew how to properly equalize out the bitterness of black coffee b) he knew that because his son once drank coffee as such c) Devon's family was killed by Akuma.

In a maneuver of mind games, under the pretense of teaching Devon how to play Weiqui, Shyao comforts the Finder in his own roundabout way. Unbeknownst to Devon, from how stiffly the Finder reacted to Shyao's accusations, the boy had been able to conclude several unpleasant (but unfortunately true) facts about the Order.
