She was half way through her day and was starting to regret that she hadn't brought her satchel with her. She'd left it back in her programing classroom since she had a class in there later (and the teacher liked her). It meant through that she was stuck trying to balance her books and the little box that had the jewelry she'd promised to bring to show to Amy later.
It was working ... until she found the stairs. She was eying them with a frown on her face as she tried to figure out how she was going to get her books down them without dropping the box and spilling jewelry everywhere. It wouldn't be any fun to try to pick it up, even more so if any of it tumbled toward the edges of the hallway. At least she wasn't outside. There would be no finding things if some of them rolled into the glass.
"My kingdom for an elevator." She grumbled as she thought about any other ways around the campus that wouldn't involve stairs. Or god forbid going back for her satchle. She didn't want to walk all the way over there again.

Fritz was only half paying attention to where he was walking, examining a thick comic book in one hand, his rucksack thrown over the other shoulder, fingers idly wrapped around the strap.
The first hard copy of his and Tolliver's webcomic. Priceless - at least to some. To others, however, it was a mere $7.99, plus shipping and handling - and it was so beautiful.
He thought about calling his brother, but seeing as how he was in the middle of classes, that might not have been the best idea. Placing the book carefully back into his bag as if it might have been some sort of priceless treasure, Fritz rounded the corner of the next hallway -
- and very nearly ran into a girl standing with her arms completely filled.
"Oh, jeez, I'm sorry," he said quickly, taking a hasty step back. "Here, let me help you with that - "
Without really asking, Fritz scooped the books from her arms and into his own. "Now," he said. "Where..."
He trailed off, studying the girl's face. "You...you're familiar," he said musingly. "Have I met you before?"

She squeaked when she was run into, though if asked later she'd completely deny ever making such a girly noise, before her eyes narrowed. Couldn't anyone ever watch where they were going? Really!
She would have started yelling as she leaned down to scoop up her things if he hadn't offered to help ...
and if he hadn't asked her an odd question. "... uh ... were you, you know ... the kidnapping?" She had run into a lot of people up there so it was possible eh'd been up there with her.
