Sleeping wonder lies to me, and the lies are sweet.
O.O
I checked the book out from my school's library today at like ten, then read for the rest of my free period. I didn't pick it up again really until my unusually short busride home, and even then I couldn't read again until like six tonight. I finished it in approximately seven hours and twenty minutes, including food and bathroom breaks.
HOLY SHITE
Is my reaction. I didn't really care for Roland, but did I ever bawl my eyes out while he was being unwound. God, and when Connor had Roland's arm, my hands began shaking. I don't know what it was about the unwinding process that made me feel like I was having anomie, but let me tell you: It was intense.
Even as somebody Pro-Choice, I could never ever fathom agreeing to the Bill of Life in that way. I mean, really. After thirteen years, somebody has a freaking identity! You can't just chop them up and send them to other people! *hyperventilates*
This book is killing me....
Plus, did anybody else notice that when Hayden takes the note from Connor to Roland, he says: "I am Switzerland. I am neutral."
Bella Swan in Twilight's Eclipse says "I'm a neutral country. I am Switzerland." (This one's paraphrased, but that's essentially what she said.) ... Both books were published in 2007.... Creepy coincidence, eh?
