Niflhel was out on his nightly stroll, missing Polaris a bit and wishing he'd actually run into someone that was on his side that might be interested in a little spar with whatever youma the cat could drag in.
His hands were behind his head as he walked. He lacked his usual package of sweets, which at some points one would have to wonder if that was his weapon instead of the chain hanging from his belt. Especially if one knew Niflhel and his love for sweet treats, or food in general.
He wasn't really paying attention to where he was walking either, well that was until he felt a power signature. Huh, the squire paused and looked around. So where was this super hero? "Hello?"

Celsus was back outside, for the third time that week.
He had started making nightly runs; an inability to sleep properly since the incidents on the Surrounding had made him easily agitated, so there were times when he decided to just take a midnight stroll surreptitiously around the city; and he always powered up to do so. Unable to deny that it had begun to grow too dangerous to be walking the streets alone at night, Celsus made his way quietly down a side street, munching idly on a lollipop he had found stashed in a drawer of Tolliver's.
There was a flash of something within his mind; a sort of tingling sensation in his brain, trickling down his body. It was a sensation that he was still learning to read, but Celsus could tell what it was almost immediately -
Another power signature. Someone else was out here, though whether good or bad, he could not tell.
"Hello?"
The voice that called out was unrecognizable. Cautiously, Celsus rounded the next corner, wary of the speaker he was about to find, but his eyes did not land on a member of the Negaverse. Instead, what stood in the shadowy hall of an alleyway was a young man with tousled black hair, a black and red hat perched on the top of his head.
Celsus' brow furrowed. "Who are you?"

Niflhel relaxed seeing the page. "Ah... I was about to ask you the same question."
He chuckled, "Niflhel, Squire of the Planet Saturn." He paused looking over the other, "I take it you're of the knight verity as well?" He asked curiously he hadn't seen that sort of uniform before. Then again he'd only seen a few knights so he had no clue how many existed or how many planets they protected.
He leaned on a light post. "So, you new around here?" He asked trying to break the ice more so than just answering who are you. He looked pretty content to stand there and chat as well.

The power signature had not been a Negaverse, which was good, especially seeing how new Celsus was to this whole business. He tilted his head, slanting a gaze as he reached a hand up to idly twist the pendant around his neck, the lollipop in his mouth clicking against his teeth.
"A pleasure, Niflhel, Squire of the Planet Saturn," said Celsus, and bowed grandly to the other, sweeping one hand exaggeratedly out. When he straightened, he was grinning. "I, unfortunately, do not hail from a planet."
He gave a very melodramatic sigh, as if this were truly a great tragedy, then added, with a warm smile gracing his face "Well. It's okay, however. I am Celsus, a Page of Chronos."
He had only met a few of the other nights before, and none of them had been this one. He seemed, perhaps, around Celsus' age, perhaps a year or two younger, and perfectly genial. Fritz twisted the lollipop in his mouth.
"I'm still green, yes, I'm afraid," he answered, with a mildly sheepish laugh. "Though it's proving to be much more entertaining and hard than I thought it would be.
"And what of you?" Celsus continued, with a gesture towards Niflhel. "How long have you been at it?"

Niflhel returned the grand flourish of a bow. "The pleasure's all mine Celsus." He paused, had he heard of Chronos before? After two years of this going on he was slowly forgetting some of the senshi he met less often however if the boy wasn't from a planet. "Then I'd assume you're tied to a senshi?" He looked curious at this notion, wondering if his assumption was correct.
"That's fine, I'm still learning to use this." He held up his chain with a chuckle. "I've fought as a civilian for.... close to a year and five months. I've been as a knight for, eh about five months now. Amazing really."
He pondered looking around. There was something else near by. "Tell me Celsus, would you be interested in a fight with a youma?" It didn't feel like a negaverse officer to him so he was fairly sure it was a youma.

Celsus' looked at Niflhel with a vaguely surprised expression.
"Tied, to, er...what? A senshi? No, I don't think so..." His brows furrowed together a he thought, tilting his head to the side and tapping one long finger against his cheek. "I am loyal to the Princess of Chronos - that is who I am bound to."
Celsus' eyes moved to the chain, traveling along the length of it with a curious expression. Other than Camelot, who had a shield, rather than a sword, he had not yet seen any other Squires, nor Knight weapons, so this rather fascinated him.
Which meant it took him a moment to register exactly what Niflhel was saying.
"What? Oh - " Celsus lifted his head, feeling the energy signature of something rippling down his spine. A smile touched his face, quirking his lips upwards.
"I'd think it was a grand idea."

Niflhel seemed to think, "Ah I see." It seemed interesting. Maybe he'd have to poke ********* or Zirconia eventually to see if they had any ideas.
He chuckled, "Great, then lets go!" He took off towards the source of energy making sure not to out run the new page. "Celsus do you have any hand to hand fighting experiance?"
He was mainly curious if he needed to play keep up to help keep Celsus from getting hurt. As they ran towards a youma they could make out that it looked vaguely like the Alien from alien versus predator. "Oh man that's ugly."

Celsus dashed after Niflhel, excitement flooding through his veins. He supposed he shouldn't have been this thrilled to fight a youma, but he was with another knight - a Squire - and he had been patrolling for so long without any sort of thing happening.
"Er," he said as they ran. "I've fought a youma before, with *********, and I fought that enormous spider thing when I was newly awakened, but other than that, I'm afraid I'm not entirely, er...familiar with youma."
They rounded the corner and there it was - something rather disgusting. Celsus eyed it for a moment, hands on his hips.
"That's rather unpleasant looking."
Then he shrugged, grinned at Niflhel, and dived forward, throwing a punch at the great, ugly brute as hard as he could.

Niflhel nodded, "It is indeed." He chuckled as the page aimed a punch at the brute connecting. Niflhel wasn't far behind following up Celsus' punch with a kick of his own.
The Monster seemed to be standing there taking the hits staring at the boys. That was something unusual for a Youma to do, Niflhel frowned. This was perhaps not good, something gave off a foreboding sense.
That was when the youma started to spit a web like rope at the boys trying to hit either of them. It caught Niflhel on the sleeve and suddenly he felt some of his energy draining. "ACK! Watch out for that web." He cried trying to pull away from it. This was going to make battling harder.

"Ow," said Celsus, wincing a bit. The ropelike substance the creature had shot out was wrapped around his wrist, and he could already feel the energy starting to drain.
"That's not playing fair," Celsus complained, and then lashed out, kicking the youma square in the nose. Simultaneously he yanked his trapped arm back as hard as he could, hearing a snapping noise as the sticky white web cracked, falling away and freeing his arm. The youma made an angry noise, and suddenly Celsus found himself on the ground, webbing twisted around one of his ankles.
"Oh. Well. That makes things a bit more complicated."

Niflhel glared at the Alien, "Well if that's how it wants to play." He aimed a punch towards the stomach of the monster to make it turn loose and gave one hard yank to free himself as the web cracked.
He summoned his chain and aimed the chain at the monster hoping to grab it by the head or somewhere within that vicinity. "How do you like the taste of metal ugly?" He asked.
"By the way, they never play fair." Niflhel informed Celsus as he concentrated on holding the beast, "I think I got him for a little bit. See if you can find something to hit him with?"

The chain thing was pretty cool - Celsus watched a tad enviously as Niflhel swung it around, catching the beast around the neck.
Then he looked down at his own coin.
Some part of Celsus' pride shriveled up, but after a moment he tugged his leg hard, yanking it free from the webbing.
"So I've noticed," he grunted, staggering a bit. Glancing around, he spotted a spare tree branch, and leapt over another stringy web shot towards him, nimbly grabbing the branch and taking an enormous swing at the creature.
Thwack!
"That was a satisfying sound."

The best thing about the chain? Niflhel yanked the monster into the tree branch which made that Thwack! louder. He chuckled, "Indeed."
Of course tightening his grip on the chain he pulled the beast closer to him so he could apply a kick right to the stomach causing it to wail out in pain and attempt to web him again only to get his hat. "Dude no one likes your webbing stop that, and my hat didn't do anything to you."
He told the youma, "Hey Celsus, if you have a nice right hook, they enjoy that." He informed with a grin. He didn't mind throwing the new guy some pointers after all they had to work with what they got. Though stabbing it to death with a tree branch MIGHT be interesting... He felt the chain start to slip a little...

"By the way - " Thwack! " - I like the chains." Thwack.
With each sound, Celsus grew more confident. He gave Niflhel a grin and a thumbs up, swinging the branch around more forcefully. A pathetic "weapon," no doubt, but it would do - for now, at least.
"I seem to work better with my legs, actually," replied Celsus with an amused shrug. He dropped the branch, squared his shoulders, then gave a running leap towards the creature, swinging his leg up and out in a smooth roundhouse kick. The youma bucked, clearly displeased, but Celsus had already twisted around to land another kick. This one wasn't quite as well executed as the first, and he stumbled, landing in a pile of webbing.
"That was not particularly graceful," he grunted, and pulled himself back to his feet, laughing ruefully.
"That'll certainly teach me."

"Yeah it's handy" He laughed in between thwacks. Once Celsus managed a final kick the chain lost it's grip and the squire started to tumble backwards, however he turned it into a Kick to the monster's jaw before landing square on his back and rolling over. Ohhh that hurt, even with training that had hurt.
"Ouch." He coughed and rolled himself back to his feet. The monster was wobbling drunk with pain by now. "I think I got somewhat lucky with having the chain, while its not always effective on larger monsters there's always a use for it."
He jumped back a little bit before eying up the wobbling monster who was trying to figure out which one to go for. "Hey while this thing is dazed do you want to see if we kick it together he goes down?" Granted Niflhel was still hurting but he was doing his best to walk it off. "We could go on the count of three!"
