History (brief):
Most of Sammi's childhood was spent outdoors, like most boys his age. He was always knee deep in dirt, bringing home various reptiles and bugs as pets that his parents didn't approve of. And when he wasn't doing that he was helping out his mother with daily chores and working hard at his school work. While he was a good student Sammi always struggled with things like English, and History. What he was good at was Math and Science. He's a pretty laid back man who enjoys his privacy and a bit of solitude now and then.
He does get overwhelmed by large groups of people. Honestly he doesn't care for such big crowds, because how can you truly get to know someone if you have 5 other people distracting you or wanting your attention? So group outings or large family gatherings always make Sammi nervous, jittery, and rather uncomfortable. This is most likely the result of how he grew up, having a small close knit family where you were talked to and dealt with one on one became part of Sammi's personality.
Sammi's fascination with animals brought him to want to pursue a career caring for or even just being involved with the various animals of the world. As he grew up he took an interest into studying abroad and to see the world. The only problem was leaving his home, it was rather nerve wracking that he ended up buying a RV to bring part of his home with him. So he ended up traveling to get a degree to be a licensed Vet. He specialized in more exotic animals like reptiles, but obviously learned about the more usual domestic pets he would be seeing everyday.
While attaining his degree Sammi fell head over heels for a Frenchman named Jean. After several years of dating, the two moved in together and wanted to start a family. So the two opted for adoption and thus Lily Connell was integrated into the close knit duo. Life was fantastic for the trio for a good 4 years until one tragic day, Jean was lost to a car accident. The loss of his lover would have completely crushed Sammi if he hadn't had Lily in his life. Now 3 years after the incident Sammi has moved on, not just emotionally but physically too. His new home is Nirvani and for the time being until he gathers enough money Sammi and Lily Connell live in a close quartered RV.
