Title totally a Rolling Stone Song Liam hated the night, despite it being his "element." The silver pendant around his neck did nothing but distract him as it bounced against his chest. It was a reminder; a reminder to never repeat what history had done to him. He suppressed a growl as he continued walking in the night. The cool air tried to nibble at his skin, but his body was no longer warm. It hadn't been for years now. He flicked his bangs, a habit he had build out of his ego rather than one of necessity. He needed to feel better than this, and that simply did the trick.
Hair tossed to the side, he set his teeth and continued on into the night. Not sure of where he was going, but sure he would find something worth seeing...eventually.

Jacques Deshoulières wondered away from his gathering of females he would soon declare a herd solid and true. He needed just a moment to himself, a moment of silence. He could also use it as an excuse to look for more members. Four with him was nice, but he wanted his herd to be large and strong. He needed males for this, females could be strong but they had their weaknesses too as do males but that was a different subject.
The cold air in the night felt good to him, he hated anything that reminded him of the day light and its piercing warmth. Another thought crossed his mind though it had been a good amount of time since he had fed. Jacques had been so focused on forming a herd it had slipped his mind. So he would take this chance alone to hunt. He moved to the darker shadows before starting to sent the air and listen closely for movement. It took ages it seemed, but soon the sound of movement reached his ears. Jacques perked with excitement, but then as he scent the air something was wrong. There was no sense of pulsing blood coming from this creature. So without a moments thought he came out of hiding to investigate the near by creature. It was a stallion, not only a stallion, but a vampire steed. Now this could either be a serendipitous moment or a fight would soon over take them both.
"Greetings Fellow Vampire Steed." Jacques called out moving towards the Liam. He had to admit he was a fine looking stallion one he would rather like to have in his herd.

Liam's ears flicked to the sound of the other, but his eyes took much longer to slowly look. The other was easy on the eyes sure. He cracked a smile, baring his ivory teeth in an exceedingly flashy manner.
"Well isn't this a sight." He moved to circle the other, his ears alert and a shimmer of play in his eyes. "Boy like you comes to me, well I must be doing something right then." To flirt or not to flirt, was never the question with Liam. It was always game on. He smiled again, his red eyes shinning with delight and approval into the night's sky.
"Name's Liam, and what may I ask is your name? Is it as pretty as you?" He wanted to snort as his own remark, but he decided playing it cool was the best way to be. Who knew, maybe this other would be exceedingly against the idea of Liam and his flirtatious ways. Either way, it would certainly be fun to see.

Jacques grinned what a pleasant surprise this was indeed. Not only was there to be no fight, but it seemed the other stallion was as impressed with Jacques as he was with this new vampire steed. He gave out a flirtatious hiss before moving forwards some more as to get out of the circle Liam was making around him.
"Right place right time I guess." Jacques smirked turning his head over his shoulder to look back at Liam. He was just as much of a flirt as Liam though it helped when there wasn't pulsing blood to stir his hunger.
Jacques licked his blood stained fangs and made a click sound. Now it wasn't that Jacques didn't take care of his fangs it was more the years had stained him despite his best efforts to keep them white. "My name is Jacques Deshoulières, Leader of the Night Walker Herd." Jacques said with a proud tone. "It's a pleasure to meet you this night Liam." Jacques spoke as he turned to face Liam.

Liam stepped back, a coy smile spreading on his face as the other announced his title. He seemed quite proud of himself, that was for sure. Liam would let it slide honestly, the other was quite attractive, so the cocky air about him was well deserved.
Liam shook out his short mane, his red gaze coming to rest upon the other. "Leader huh? You like taking control then?" he asked suggestively, his voice dropping to a husky, low tone. He sported a crooked smile his eyes glistening with flirtatious motives.

Jacques flicked his tail as he watched the other stallion with interest. Would he be impressed by the leader of a herd or put off by one. Vampire steeds were an uppity breed easily predictable after awhile, though this one had already broken one normal response so perhaps he would be surprised again.
He let out a low rumbling growl, not a threatening one in the least though. Much more of a vampire's purr then anything else. "But of course, what stallion doesn't crave a bit of power and control." His red eyes flashed with a bit of flirtatious excitement. It had been a long time since anyone captured Jac's interest in such a way.

Liam suppressed the urge to giggle. A display of such fascination and excitement would have been rather poor in taste had he done so. He opted for raising his eyebrows. "Well then..." He got close, smelling the other's scent, capturing it and holding it for as long as he could.
"I guess I just like the thrill of being chased then..." He would allow that to be taken in any way shape or form the other wanted to take it. He swished his short tail in synch with the rhythm of his legs as he walked away a bit. He found a tree to be much more interesting for the moment and went to go lay under it. He made sure to flex and extend any part of his body that would arise attention from the other.
"Must be hard, having to lead a group on your own?" he challenged. "I don't think I'd have the dedication, or patience for that matter."

What an interesting stallion there was set before him. Jacques stood there for a moment before walking after Laim passing by him to prowl around the other side of the tree to admire this other stallion some more from an angle of his choosing.
"Do you now..I do enjoy a hunt every now and again." Jacques didn't really care how obvious he was putting his thoughts out there. He was a strong stallion that feared no one, so he could do what ever he wanted to do, right?
"Not really....you would be surprised how many will just fall into line." Jacques said moving in front of Liam. "All my current members have like minds to mine or infatuations with me, so its quite easy." Jacques said not intending to sound cocky, just simply telling the truth.

Liam watched the other out of the corner of his eye as Jac wrapped around the other side of him. He didn't even stir at it. He was quite enjoying it actually. He lay his head down, listening to the other with both ears perked. "Infatuations with you hmm?" He clicked his tongue a few times in mock shock. "Who would ever find you appealing?" His eyes told the story of his taunts and his smile only helped aide in it.
He stood up, stretching out a bit before walking down a beaten path. Clearly humans had once traveled through here once. Liam turned his head, his gaze searching for the other. Not that he cared if Jac left or not, he simply wanted to know how long he could hold the other's attention. His own strange idea of a game.

Jacques narrowed his eyes starting to catch on to Liam's little game. "I don't a fool I suppose." Jacques said backing up instead of following Liam. He new this area pretty well as it was near his herds territory.
By the time Liam had turned to look for him he had vanished into the tree lines moving up ahead as to cut Liam off just down the road. He moved swiftly to stand in the road blocking Liam's path. "What sort might find you appealing, hmm Liam?" Jacques asked with a purr.

Liam smiled in great approval as the other cut him off. He was quite amused with Jac's bold question. Shrugging, as if he didn't care, Liam rounded Jac, looking up into the night's sky, watching the clouds slowly move and sway in the breeze.
"Oh, cute little things, with a bit of myself in them. Call me a bit egotistical." Feeling rather proud of his answer, and how evasive it was, he went further down the path, finding a black creek. He looked to the water, seeing his reflection as if he were looking at a sheet of a mirror. "It's almost like it can suck your soul in..." he said mostly to himself. He backed away from the water, his gaze still glued to it. It was hauntingly beautiful. He found this to be such an...oddly romantic site, at least for something fleeting...

Jacques followed Liam smiling slightly he was a playful little imp and Jac liked that. "If one deserves to be egotistical then why not let them be." He said flicking his mane he had always been a little if not a lot egotistical himself.
"Its said that it can...though never have I seen that case before. Yet the lands are filled with many mysterious things, so I wouldn't push anything." Jac said with a laugh. He did not fear the lake, but he had seen many strange things before he settled in this area. He looked into the water at his own reflection next to Liam, before looking at Liam's reflection to. Jacques was quite for now tilting his head towards the stars. It was certainly a nice, night and having someone to flirt with on it was a major plus.

Liam peered at the other's reflection as Jac gazed up at the night's sky. He enjoyed looking at the muscles under the stallion's neck move and ripple with life. He lay on the ground, inching his nose closer to the water. He wondered how cold it was.
He didn't want to break the skin of the water though. It was frozen, almost like all life was gone from it. He turned back to Jac, thinking on his words. "Soul sucking or not. I find this place beautiful. It's the kind of place I'd bring someone I wanted to woo..." He sported a sly grin, completely pleased with his ingenuity.
He looked back at the black water, his red eyes practically glowing in the night. He figured this could either go two vastly different ways by now. Either way, Liam would walk away pleased.

Jacques was lost in thoughts and memories that a starry sky brought to him on nights such like this. They were short and brief and he soon brought himself back to earth and the incredible specimen of stallion before him.
Jac's body relaxed, a more graceful presence came over him versus the tight muscles. He couldn't help, but show Liam this side as well. Liam made Jacques feel at home in away. Perhaps if purely by the fact that he was a vampire steed, something he had not come across in a long time.
"Oh? Is that something your planning to do with me? Or are you just teasing me?" Jacques said his red eyes baring down on Liam . He stood there for a moment more before laying down beside Liam.

Liam's lips curled in a small smile. Well, this was working out magically. Jac was just as bold and assertive as he was.
"Well, I was planning on being a bit more sly about it, but yes." He moved closer, giving the other a quick nuzzle. Just a small, simple taste of his own body against the others. He pulled back, resuming his stare into the black waters, wondering if any fish were down there, or if everything was as dead as it appeared to be.
"I'm a tease only to those I don't really fancy. I fancy you."
