"Fritz, your CAT is ANNOYING me good GRIEF."
This was the fourth time Tolliver had said as much in as many minutes. Fritz glared at his brother.
"He's just trying to say hello," he said primly, and leaned over to pluck the mangy black and brown cat from his twin's lap. He stroked the thick, coarse fur and then rubbed his nose into Crook's neck.
Crook did not appreciate this. Neither did Tolliver.
"OH, SURE, KICK YOUR OWN BROTHER OUT!" Fritz hollered at the door five minutes later, but all he heard was the sound of the lock clicking. With a sigh of exasperation, he turned, stuck his hands in his pockets, and began to amble down the street.
He hadn't brought anything with him except his yo-yo - Tolliver had pushed him out before he could, saying he needed some "fresh air."
Really he just meant that Fritz was being annoying while he was studying.
Gathering his jacket closer around him, Fritz pulled out the yo-yo and began stringing it idly around his fingers, moving so fast that they were a blur. There was a playground somewhere nearby; he could sit on one of the swings and goof off, at least until Tolliver let him back in.
The brat.

Pippin was bored, tried, and hungry all at the same time. This came from being a stray cat. He had no one to pet him, no one to snuggle up with in a warm bed, and no one to feed him sweets. Now don't get him wrong, he loved having his freedom, being able to go anywhere and everywhere he could but sometime he miss being with someone.
He yawned and stretch out his legs. He had been people watching for quite sometime now and he thought it would be best to leave this draft place. He had seen it all, kissing, hugging, listening to their i-pods, etc and it was just getting on his nerves. If he was a human he wouldn't have to be bored, tired, or hungry because then he could entrain himself, put himself to bed, and most of all feed himself real food. He had decide, he was going to find a someone today. Someone that could entertain for at least the rest of the night.
He jumped up and started walking. it couldn't be that hard, finding someone right?...

He found the playground relatively easy; it was about two blocks down from his loft in a wide, open lot that had wood chips for gravel, a rather measly set of swings, two slides, and some monkey bars. And when Fritz arrived, it was already swarming with children, which made it slightly odd that he meandered across the lot towards one of the empty swings, plopping himself down in one.
Fingers still working with the yo-yo in his hands, he gave an idle glance around the place. There was no one he knew here; that was partially good, since it meant no prying questions and no gasps of shock, but it was also a little bad since it meant he had no one to talk to.
Damn you Tolliver and your kicking me out...
Maybe he should just go up to the Surrounding and relax there. Though the chances of stumbling across Virgo or one of his other "Captains" meant the possibility of being dragged into training, and he was already sore from the previous day.
So instead Fritz just sat there, goofing off with his yo-yo and biding his time until he could amble home.

Aha! There was his savior for the night! The playground. He hadn't walk for too long when before his pale green eyes had laid upon this wonderful scene. There was tons of kids here, kids that love cute little cats like himself. All he had to do was pick the right one and they would love him until they had to go home. It was a perfect plan. He looked around until he spotted someone..but this someone was not a child at all. He looked to old to be a child, which made Pippin smiled. He had found a teenager! Even better, this meant that he could buy him wonderful suckers and candy. He did a little jig in his thought.
He walked over and gave a small meow, looking up with him with "hold me" eyes.

Perhaps one of Fritz's greatest weakness was that he had an especially large fondness for animals.
This was made clearly evident by Crook, of course - Tolliver despised the cat and had deemed it "horrible looking," whereas Fritz loved it. And it had always been this way between the two of them; Fritz would bring home various strays, their mother rolling her eyes in exasperation. But he would be quite content with his new find - at least, until it ran or was given away.
Perhaps that was why he'd found it so easy to converse with ********* and Zirconia.
So when a little, patchwork colored cat came ambling up to him and mewled, peering at Fritz with large, doleful eyes that clearly meant Love meeee, Fritz's heart melted.
"Hello there, little one," he said cheerfully, reaching down to pat it on the head. "You're a cute little thing, now aren't you?"
He dangled the yo-yo down in front, wondering it it wanted to play.

Pippin gave out a happy cat giggle and purr. He like nothing more then a kind soul who loved him, what else could he ask for. Well maybe the wish he could talk to him but that was impossible because then this man would think he's insane but nevertheless this would work.
He smiled up to the man and nodded his head. Yes, he was very cute and little. Pippin gave a few meows before ironing the stupid yo-yo and jumping upon the male's lap. He looked up to him with sad kitty eyes and pointed to his open mouth, giving a small weak meow.
Yes, he indeed pointed to hi mouth. No one ever said that he couldn't interact with human in human like ways. He was hungry and he wanted to eat sweets now. It wasn't like he was breaking the rules...he wasn't talking.....

Fritz strung the yo-yo around his fingers, faster and faster until it became a blur. It was all old hat to him, however, and he seemed to almost be doing it idly, as though he had nothing better to do with his hands.
He glanced down at the cat again, which was still looking balefully up at him with wide eyes. Then it opened its tiny open jaws -
- and pointed, with one multicolored paw, to its mouth.
...that's interesting.
He gave no sign that he had noticed this, however, and continued with the trick he had been doing until it was finished. Once it was, however, Fritz slowly lowered his hands, winding the string back onto the spool and stowing it away in his pocket. Then he leaned forward, resting his forearms on his knees and linking his fingers together as he tilted his head, a vaguely polite smile on his face.
"You're not who you appear to be," he said softly. "Are you."
It was not really a question.

He hated with others paid no attention to him. Really, it was fairly rude. He had showed a pretty huge sign that he wanted some food. Yet, this male kept playing with his dumb little toy. He had half of mind to swipe the little pest of a toy away for the male could give him his full attention. True it was mean but what did Pippin care he wanted food and loving as soon as possible.
When he finally did talk Pippin almost jumped back. He knew what he was which meant he was a senshi! How could he have missed that. Now that he knew he could feel the energy coming from him. Pippin smiled and look up to him and repeat the male's statement, "You're not who you appear to be, are you." It was more in a sarcastic tone but hopefully the male would get the hint.
"Well since you know what I am, I guess I can talk. I'm Pippin the cat. It's nice to meet you! What your senshi name! Oh I'm so glad to meet another senshi! it's been awhile and I miss human interaction..." he said with a sigh and then shaking his head he look up to the young man with a gentle smile.
