Pippin had hit the jackpot. Earlier today he had found a watch laying on a picnic table, just for his taken. The owner had left his food, watch, and his coat at this table, which in fact drew this cat into this lovely scene even more. He had not dared to touch the food or to even take a second look at the coat because his eyes was glued on the wonderful shiny metal watch. It was beautiful and with every little tick it made, Pippin wanted it even more. It was a easy taking, he had just jumped up on the table, took the watch and left.
He grinned as he moved the watch through his little paws. He had sneak off pretty far from the picnic table to a tree father up the park and had been there ever since. He laid on his back, purring watching the shiny metal glow in the moonlight. It had been a wonderful day indeed.

Hypnos had been passing by through the park on her way home for the night when something glinting with the light from the moon caught her eye. She didn't know what it was but it had been interesting and very shiny! She was curious and slightly concerned when the child carefully moved across the grass and toward the picnic area of the park. She didn't expect anyone to be there but at the same time she'd met enough youma in the park to not leave it to chance.
She moved as quietly as she could but there was only so quiet she could walk and so many things in the world that had better hearing than humans. It would be simple enough for an animal, or a youma, to unconvincingly hear her as she was walking and either run away or attack her. It would certainly be a sight to see if Hypnos were to stumble upon a cat on a picnic table as she would have assumed: tried to channel the moon through a watch.
Hopefully she could find the source of the light without too much trouble on her part.

His ears perked up. The first thing this cat did was place his shiny behind him. He moved upon his feet and looked around. He had heard something. Something was coming. Coming to steal the watch that he stole from the man earlier that day. No, this could not happen. He had to stop this. Too many times did people steal the thing had stolen first because he was a cat but not today. Today was suppose to be a wonderful day, plus would be out at a time like this anyways.
He stood a bit higher, trying to make sure he had cover ever spot his eyes could see and he caught sight of something very odd. A girl? A little girl actually. What was someone at this age doing out at a time like this? Was she lost or worst was she hurt. He looked around again, making sure that no one else was out here. Most of the time he would leave and make no scene of talking to people but at a time like this and her being so young he didn't see too big of a problem...
He grab his watch with his tail, just encase the girl was looking for he. He didn't want to loose the thing that was making his day wonderful and he called out to her. "Hello there little girl are you ok?" He hoped so and for his sake he hoped that no one else was out here or he would have to make a fast get away.

Hypnos hadn't expected to find a cat of all things out there. It was a pretty cute cat, kind of tiny but not too small. It was a little different, its legs seemingly a bit smaller than what she would have imagined? Maybe she was seeing things. The most immediate feature that stood out with the cat was the fact it was talking. It meant it wasn't just any cat but it was a guardian cat. At least she thought it was. There weren't any other kinds of cats who spoke, were there? She didn't think so!
"Hello guardian kitty, I am just fine. I just thought I seen something shiny while I was heading home and came to investigate... just in case!"
