Why did the Europeans call North America the "New World"? Is the Illuminati in this tangle? If so, who to blame?

It was called that because it was practically a whole new world to the Europeans.

It was called the new world because the Europeans thought that Europe and all the close surrounding continents were the only part of the world. Finding America was like finding a completely new world.

I think the above addressed it fairly well. Don't be so paranoid about small things. Columbus wasn't even after this place when he found it.

The "New world" is a term used to describe large pats of land for resources. Historically after the reformation, there was a Christian ideology going around that it's a sin to be rich, but it wasn't a sin for a country to experience wealth. This lead to what was called Mercantilism. Basically it's a way for a country to act like one giant business. Meaning that it should make more money and be prosperous. That Idea was the catalyst for Imperialism because in order to be mercantile, you have to be self-sufficient, meaning that you need all the resources needed and that means more land. With America, that land was what they needed. Therefore what they needed was what the Americas. So what they did was sail over and conquer the Americas and it was rather easy. They had better weapons and they had diseases that wiped out the indians.
