The dull, fast sound of paint thudding against a hard surface signified the double-tap shot of a skilled participant, namely a lanky young woman that planted a hand on an improvised barricade, leaping over it to take cover. Short, pale hair was now streaked with color, and her gun was immediately pointed toward the other person in the bunker.
Quick, dark eyes located a matching bandana strapped to the other girl's arm, and the muzzled was lowered, a gloved hand moving to push up her mask. She was grinning, a wide, reckless sort of thing that lit up her freckled face. "Hey," A lift of the chin.
Her back hit the dirt-padded barricade, and she slumped down until she was sitting, legs stretched out, to take a breather.
"NO CAMPING, KESS." Was heard, shouted from somewhere across the playing field. <******** you, Jordan!" The response was clearly amused, and 'Kess' tilted her head back as she shouted, projecting, her laughter colorfully tinting the words. The game was the open sort, where people that showed up were handed a bandana based on the number of other players, and shoved out into the war to play and mingle.
Now, she looked back to her company, raising her brows mischievously. "Our team must be winning." A glove hand was thrust out, then. "I'm Kess."

Breathe in. Breathe out. From where she was situated, she had a great view of Liz's pretty head, her chest rising and falling evenly. No clue that she was in someone else's scope. That worked for her. She only waited to see if the person next to her would shift just that little bit, and then she could try and pull off two shots. Take them both without giving away her position.
Shar could hear boots coming towards her, the sound of fire coming closer, and she had to take the shot. If she didn't, she would lose them both. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Pull as she breathed out. Color splashed across the other girl's mask, and Shar ducked back fully into the barricade as a paintball shot in her own direction, dropping the sniper and pulling her pistol as a figure jumped the barricade.
Same color.
She lowered the pistol, strapping the rifle back onto her back. "Hey." she greeted back, eyes scanning the field through her crack. "Shar." she stuck out her hand, shaking the other girl's only briefly. "I hope our team is winning. I made a friendly little bet with some of the enemy, and if we lose I do not know how I am going to pay for the pizza and beer."

"We won't," The blonde shifted to her knees, checking the ammo in her rifle, before shooting the other girl a wink. "I'll let you buy me a drink for cementing our victory, though." Kess yanked her mask back over her freckled face, and gestured over her shoulder.
"I'll draw fire. There aren't many left, I reckon around three by the drying shed, and another camped under the tire trap." A fist thumped her chest, twice, in camaraderie, and the lanky girl took off, followed by the sound of paint thudding against dirt.
On her own, now, she took a dive, landing on her side and rolling until she found cover. Her rifle was snapped up, elbows braced on packed earth, and she let out a barrage of shots, mercilessly tagging one unfortunate fellow that'd decided to come chase her down.

Oh, she liked this one. Shar eyed the blonde appreciatively, debating if it would be worth it to buy her a drink if it wouldn't get her anything out of it.
Hey, why not?
"You are on, cutie." she agreed, and switched back to the sniper. Wiggling on her belly through the dirt, she got another vantage. "Go!" She watched. Waited. The sound of a shot pointed her in the right direction, and she caught a glimpse- enough that she fired back.
Someone else was coming in her direction. s**t, s**t, s**t. She slung the rifle back, picked up her pistol, and fired off a shot right as her assailant came over the barricade. "Aw hell!" the guy yowled as color blossomed in his gun shoulder.
"You are out." she told him, and darted around the other side of the barricade, ducking into the trees. She could hear more shooting- probably Kess, and slipped her way through the trees until she was coming up around the drying shed. So, there were three around here? Well then.
Out comes the paintball shottie.

They must've known she was coming.
From where Kess lay, flattened to the dirt, she could see Shar creeping around the side of the drying shed, and she could also see the glimpse of the opposite team's colors, on someone's armband, as they tried to flank her.
The boy had just raised his shotgun, aimed at the blunette's back, when Kess found her center. A breath out, and just before inhale, she fired her rifle, a quick, double shot, that blossomed color across his mask. The enemy fell dramatically, a good sport, and the blonde's wide grin flashed from a paint-splattered face.

Later, she was going to kick herself. Thinking she was good, she had fallen into a perfect trap. If it wasn't for Kess' valiant self-sacrifice, Shahar would have been taken from behind. Not an idea she usually entertained during Paintball.
She watched the blonde rise from her hiding place, heard the snap of bullets and snapped off one of her own that smeared an enemy visor. Ducking back into 'cover' Shar tried to recall where the last enemy was. Had barricade boy been the tire trap, or the last from the paintshed?
The snap of a twig, and she paused: The enemy was on the other side of the tree?
Which way would they come around? It was like the old western movies, where the two-
Okay, so she romanticized stuff. It was time to snuff this punk. A quick glance to her left, and she threw herself to the right, and down, firing.
Technically, she decided, she killed him, whereas he only got her in the leg. But the yellow paint that would have taken out her kneecap stung a lot more than the neat little blow to his helmet.
