Tiny paws crept along sun dried grounds. If one was to just take a glance they might not even see the owner of the paws, for his fur seemed to camouflage him well enough, though his bright blue eyes would probably make him stick out some. Still, the small cub could not help but fearfully creep along in hopes of finding his family, whom he had lost some time ago. Surely they were looking for him like he was for them, right? They wouldn’t just leave him lost, right?
Part of Zaimari couldn’t help but hold doubt. After all, he wasn’t really the favorite cub in his litter. While his siblings and mother showed him care his father didn’t seem to. Some would just say it was tough love, but to someone has young as him, he saw it as a sign that his father did not care about him, only his brother who got shown much favor just because he looked like their father.
As the small cub let out a whimper he fell to the ground, a cloud of dirt poofing up around him. There was no use. He could no longer go on, especially when he had no idea where he was going anyway. The only thing Zai would do now was just hope, just hope his family or a kind stranger would come along and find him before the harsh world decided to take him for its own.
