What had J.B. done this time? Look at her! She had...she had a horn. and...and what were those? Were those scales? Ai couldn’t help but look in her reflection in the water trough. Why had her owner thought that messing with those potions was a good idea? Now look at her! She was different, and she didn’t like it. Not to mention what it was like to actually have something grow from her head. Talk about pain. Was her owner trying to prep her for the next fight? Did he want her to have the better advantage with the others. Whatever the reason…Ai didn’t know.

She pushed herself away from the water, trudging alongside the stables, down the cobblestone path. J.B. was too busy preening himself on his ‘new mokai’ looks, to even bother to watch as Ai wandered away. She’d come back, after she had some time to think. There could be pros to having the new appendage. For example, now she could do a nice headbutt getting good results from it, but even fighting was replaced from her mind at the moment. She needed to get her mind off the thing growing on her forehead.

Imnir sauntered along rather aimlessly through the area, a slight limp in his back hind leg could be seen by anyone who was looking, but he paid it no mind. It would heal in time and then he'd be back in the ring. So long as Naomi would let him wander like this, he could live with a little break if it really had to be done. He still wanted to fight, but not so badly that he'd disobey his human and go looking for one. Right now he was just enjoying showing off all of his new weapons that he had gotten recently.

As he went, Imnir licked his lips occasionally, making sure to also pay attention to his newly elongated canines. It had hurt pretty bad having them grow so quickly, but it was worth it, even if he still couldn't really chew without wincing. The ears had been less painful and more... Strange, but the horns had certainly been the worst. Man, he was glad THAT was over.

The sound of lip smacking brought Ai out of her trance. Her golden eyes looked to the right, spotting another male fighter. Her eyes narrowed, focusing on the large teeth that hung in his maw. Slowly her gaze moved up to the ears, then around to the horns. “Your humans messing with potions as well?” Ai asked, slightly amused. Never had she seen such fangs on a mokai, that certainly was a new one. Hopefully JB didn’t decide to do that for her, she’d have to bite him, and then run away to find a new owner.

Leaving the male’s newly grown features, she focused now on his limp. “Who got you?” she asked. Either this male had come out from a fight, or a terrible training session. Looks like she wasn’t the only injured fighter in the settlement anymore.

"Hm?" Imnir glanced in the direction of the striped fighter, stopping his aimless wandering and turning to face her. "Not messing with, I don't think. From the sounds of it this was all part of the plan as soon as I started doing real fights. Now I've got even more ways to win." He smirked, envisioning the way his opponents would look at him from now on with his increasingly intimidating appearance.

"Nobody got me." He snorted indignantly. "I won so hard that I hurt myself. I guess not even I am a match for me." He laughed. He always loved when his ego got stroked, even if it was he who was doing it. This Mokai wasn't picky when it came to compliments.

"Interesting scales." He looked this female up and down a couple of times, never having seen such a thing before. "What are they for?" He said nothing of the horn, but made a mental note that if he fought this one that it would be a bad idea to knock heads, even for him.

“Hm,” well, he sure was cocky wasn’t he?

“Are you sure, by that limp looks like someone beat you and strung you out to dry.” She could be snarky if she wanted to. Her own smirk appeared on her maw, hers slowly flattening against her head as he spoke. So, he had been in a battle, and had gotten injured just like her. “Too bad you’re out then. That means I won’t be facing you this week.” She stated, almost boredly. She would bring him down a few notches if she could.

A shrug from her shoulders brought only a short response from the female. “Like I said, my owner was messing with the potions. Horn is useful,” she smirked, bowing her head to show the perfect point on it, “scales…not so much. At least, not yet that I know of.” Who knew, maybe they would reflect some kind of light in battle, and therefore temporarily blind the opponent.

Imnir let out a hearty laugh at her statement. "You should see the condition she's in. I may have a bit of a pulled muscle, but she damn near lost her leg." A bit of an exaggeration, perhaps, but he knew he had at least heard some crunching, probably the bone. It had been a satisfying sound.

"Don't worry, honey, you will get your turn." He smiled, "Everyone will get their turn in time. You shouldn't have to wait long to have the honor of being beaten by me. Getting into the pit with me and walking out alive is worth bragging about all on its own." He gave her a quick wink, "Don't worry though, I'll go easy on you so you don't get hurt too bad. Wouldn't want to mess up that pretty face of yours."

Imnir looked puzzled. Why on earth would a human put something that wasn't useful on their fighter? A pet, maybe, but a fighter? Maybe this human they were talking about wasn't so bright.

“She?” A smirk instantly rose to her maw. “Please tell me you fought Seven?” If he had, that was perfect. She was all too keen on winning her first battle, and she hadn’t? Was that karma? The striped female couldn’t wait until the day came when she was paired up against the female. That would be the best battle.

Ai didn’t take kindly to the wink though. Who was this mokai? He needed to be knocked down some pegs. “And what makes you think that you would win in a battle against me?” She snarled slightly. “I have happened to have won my first battle too. Don’t get too caught up on yourself, things can surprise you.”

She scoffed. “You know, I should say the same thing for you…but I’ll never go easy on anyone inside the compound. Call it a warning.”

Imnir nodded, "Indeed I did. Little thing tried her hardest, I'll give her that, I almost felt bad for her." He shook his head, "What a shame. If only she had gone up against someone more her skill level, she might have come out on top." He sighed, wondering to himself how the rust-red Mokai was doing. She seemed ok, well, more than ok actually, last time he saw her. Hopefully she hadn't gotten eaten yet.

"I don't think I would win, missy." He flashed her a toothy grin, "I know it for a fact. Didn't you know? I'm the king around these parts. I'll give you a free pass this one time, seeing as you've never had the chance to behold me in all my glory before. I can understand that." He purred softly under his breath, "Go ahead darling, take it all in, there's no rush. Just make sure you can remember who you're dealing with next time we meet."

A warning? "Don't make me laugh, little lady. But if an all out fight is what you want, I'm happy to oblige."

Hah, Ai knew Seven was all talk and no action. Though, by the looks of his limp, she would have to say that there was a pretty decent standoff between the two. Just to anger the other, the striped female smirk. “I do say, she must have done well to give you that injury.” She did not believe the whole ‘I hit her too hard’, something like that just couldn’t get a significant limp.

“If you’re the king around these parts, then I must be the damn queen of the whole Island.” She mocked. Someone needed to bring Imnir off his high horse, and Ai was just about to go at him, injury or not. “I’d like to see you try,” she growled. “I don’t need a free pass. I earn things.”

“Just make sure you remember who are you are dealing with time we meet.” A snarl was just about loose, but she held it well. She was over speaking with him.

“Our time will come. When we meet in the ring.” She sneered.

Imnir laughed once again, "You must be hard of hearing, too much fluff in your ears. I said it was me who hurt me, remember?" That much was true, especially considering the fact that he was pretty sure Seven hadn't touched that leg at all in the fight. On day though, one day soon, he would be able to push himself that hard without this body of his wimping out. He just needed to train harder.

"Well you should have told me sooner." Imnir purred mockingly to her, "My queen. Shall we retire to my, or our, palace for a little... Alone time?" Crude, maybe, but he was just teasing in an attempt to see how angry she might get. This was the most fun he had found since, well, since the fight.

"I await it with baited breath, my sweet." He breathed, batting his eyes before bursting out laughing again. This was just too much! "I'll see that your quarters are arranged just the way you like it before you come home!"

“Then you must be one clumsy of a fighter to be injured by yourself. What a shame, you probably aren’t even worth going up against.” Which meant for her, it’d be a easy win.

The fur on Ai’s neck began to bristle. “It’s a shame; here I thought males actually liked their balls. Keep it up, and I’ll make sure your lineage ends at you.” She would just have it so he would never be able to produce an heir. Castration seemed simple enough, especially since the male was injured. She was sure he couldn’t put up a great fight, or decent run. Her horn could do the trick…

“You do that.” She rolled her eyes, walking away from the male.

"Clumsy? Nah, just so awesome that sometimes I can't handle it all at once. You wouldn't understand." He smirked, hiding the fact that he was becoming increasingly irritated with this striped female. "Don't you worry though, my offer from earlier still stands if you want me to go easy on you to make the fight worthwhile for you. You know, so you don't get too embarrassed."

"Cute." He said curtly as his breathing started to become slow and deep in an attempt to remain calm, keep his cool, and not let this other fighter know that she was getting to him. "Very cute."

Imnir turned around and sauntered away from her as soon as he saw that she was leaving. He'd had just about enough of this, and the inevitable fight between them couldn't come soon enough.

He'd teach her to know where her place was, just like everyone else.
