Hey everyone, I've been thinking about what we could do to help make this guild more organized. Now, I don't consider this proposal to be a crucial one, but nevertheless, I'm interested in your input on this.
What if we assigned posting colors to each Gemstone scout and knight? Would that be too much, or do you think it would make things a little easier during role playing?
If we were to follow through with this idea, I could include each role's posting color on the Gemstone Positions list so as to ensure that everyone is aware of this information. For example,

It's going to be hard for my gem coloring that varies from white to silvery pearly look to electric blue with white.

l Sailor Moonstone l It's going to be hard for my gem coloring that varies from white to silvery pearly look to electric blue with white. That's true. You could always find a silvery kind of color you like if you did want a posting color, or maybe have a special color for quotes, one for thoughts, and one for just regular sentences narrating what you're character's doing.
Maybe we could have positing colors be optional, but have it so the ones who do have official posting colors can be the only ones to primarily use that color as their main color. Hope I worded that okay. xd

I found one. I am going to use Moonstone Blue (#73A9C2) for my post color heart

If Gaia added a background color, like in Instant Messengers such as AOL where you can chose a text color and background color. It would said text color on a black bar. Then you would see the text easier without it being an eyesore. Here's how I see it. . . a black background for lighter, and more 'neon' colors (the one that give you an eyesore). As for the white background for the darker colors.
So in closing, I'd like to say, wouldn't the above work for texts so nobody would have difficulty reading the text? Do you see where I'm coming from on this?

I'm actually a big fan of posting colour but when your color looks like this or this, that's when it's annoying. For both those colours you can simply just use this and this. Especially after bolding the colour it makes it quite easier to read, so now I personally think there's no problem with posting colours. I find them quite pretty. And if I do get Sailor Pearl I hope to claim either gray or silver.

Frankly the only suitable colors for posting are the Dark ones... Blue, Purple, Green, red....and only in Bold. Thats not enough for everyone.

Perhaps its just our types of visions, but I find it harder to highlight things and read, perhaps because I dislike the blue background when highlighted, but everyone has their own styles I guess. I personally just think that minus the neon colours or extremely light colours, I'm fine with posting colours. What we could do so that it accomodates for those who do not like posting colours. We got have little post formats like:Sailor WhatsherfaceSailor whatsherface said, "Oh hai dere."
So the name is in large, coloured text. But the actual thing that they are saying is just normal or bolded.

Alright, well here's how I see it.
If you have a posting color, there are two ways you can go about it: 1 Have most of your text be in a default black color, but have your dialogue and/or thoughts be in your posting color. 2 Type everything in your posting color... which, depending on the color, may or may not annoy people.
I agree, there are certain colors that really grind my gears... but I think it's really just a matter of personal preference. No matter what, I almost always highlight the text anyways, so I do suggest that if a posting color bothers you to simply highlight it so that it's easier on your eyes.
So, I think I will make the posting color idea completely optional because of this fact. If your color is like... ridiculously light and illegible like this, then I will ask that you change it to a darker variant. Sound good everyone?
That way, if there is a color you really cannot stand (but is still dark enough to be readable), you can just highlight the text so you don't have to see it (like I do).
The reason I don't want to make it so that nobody can have the option of using a posting color is because, for some people, that's apart of their persona. I don't want to play the role of dictator, and if there are ways I can make this guild less restrictive to the roleplaying styles of others, then I will.

Either way, I get the idea that somebody's going to get pissed about this in the guild... heh.
Okay, so what if we made it so that posting colors can only be used for dialogue?
P.S. I know, it's oddly ironic that I'm suggesting this in colored text. XDD

I normally only do use posting colours for dialogue, so I'm totally up for that. But we could just make it option, but those who want posting colours should sort out which colour they want.
