Senshi: Sailor Tiānguān, Senshi of Masks

Challenge: Masks won't cover up your shame in defeat!

Fuku:
Collar -- Regular collar that attaches at the front bow and wraps around the neck (nothing holding it in place on the back)
Bow -- One medium sized regular bow (gold+white), two thin ribbons making circles (one green one purple)
Bodice -- Ribbon down back (criss cross, bow at the bottom) ; White with swirl 'cuts' and gold/green/purple outlines for the cuts ((main part of the bodice, the 'bra' part is white... hope that's okay :3))
Sleeves -- Combination with gloves -- see gloves :3
Brooch -- Something like this? Of course, it's rotated another 90 degrees. White with gold accents (like.. white china with gold trim)
Bottoms -- Maybe something like this. Just the bottom, except it'll be a solid skirt and then two separate 'transparent parts. Multiple of these would be cool too, if possible! Each of the 3 colors, but gold being the biggest <3 [this option if can't have swirls on bodice]
Tiara -- *check accessories* Fancy part of the gold of the mask to be come the tiara
Choker -- 3 colored ribbons (Gold, Purple, Green; Gold on top, other two under)
Shoes -- Front/top of shoe something like this (Mimicking her bodice); Heel part something like this; Maybe some lace up too? LIKE THIS BUT I SUCK AT DRAWING... orz
Gloves -- This is an idea. It's more like a sleeve more than a hand and is puffy in the mid-upper arm. And adding the same opaque skirt idea to right under her poofs <3
Accessories -- Mask - wearin' something like that~? Free to simplify :3

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Tiānguān, Mask Mixup!
- Execution: Tian bows her head and her tiara glows a bright white and then releases an energy-based 'mask'. The mask rises in the air and then spins until it chooses whom to land on.
- Effect: The person that the energy-mask chooses will see triple their opponent. Two of them are illusions and one of them is the person. Each time an illusion is attacked, they'd disappear. If one or both illusions are not attacked, they only last 30 seconds. There is no discomfort to the wearer and will disappear after 30 seconds.
- Use Limits: The illusions last up to 30 seconds total and can be used twice per battle.
- Power Limits: Once the illusion is hit, it disappears. If the real person is hit, all of them are gone
- Range: 50/50 chance of landing on Tian or enemy. Both people have to be in view of each other for the attack to work, meaning that if one person suddenly dives behind a building the illusions/mask would disappear.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Tiānguān, Masked Mutilation!
- Execution: Tian bows her head and her tiara glows a bright white and then releases an energy-based 'mask'. She tosses the energy mask into the air where it lands on an opponent.
- Effect: Attaches to the opponent and the opponent sees triple Tians. Here, TIan can choose to fight or flee. If she chooses to fight, all three of the illusions look like they're mimicking her and fighting. The opponent wouldn't know which one was really attacking. If Tian chose to flee, the illusions would all be moving with her and hopefully allowing the illusions to get hit as she gets away. The energy mask stays on the opponent until all of the illusions are destroyed or 30 seconds later.
- Use Limits: Lasts up to 30 seconds per use and can be used twice per battle.
- Power Limits: Once the illusion is hit, it disappears. If Tian is hit, all of them are gone. If multiple opponents, only the one with the mask would be confused.
- Range: Person has to be visible to Tian. Can't choose who it lands on; Will just be randomly one of the opponents (in a sense, the mask chooses). Cannot land on someone that is Order-side.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Tiānguān, Masquerade Mystification!
- Execution: Tian closes her eyes and her tiara glows a brighter white than before. The light causes people around her to be blinded and once they open up their eyes again, they're at a 'masquerade ball'.
- Effect: Herself and 3-4 people around her (at max) have a mask on them that causes them to see the illusion of a masquerade. The effect is a large crowd dressed up with masks. It is about 30-40 people seemingly on a dance floor. Tian is powered up and in a 'zen' mode (she can move a little bit quicker and hit a little bit stronger, but not much). The people wearing the other energy masks can see the masquerade, but if there are people there without a mask, they are unaffected. She uses this time to blend in and try to attack people physically.
- Use Limits: The illusion lasts for 30 seconds and can be used once per battle. If this is the only attack Tian chooses to use, then it can last a total of 15 seconds more. If she uses other attacks before this, the illusion can end in less than 30 seconds.
- Power Limits: Once Tian is hit, everyone is back to normal. If anyone wearing a mask is hit, they lose their mask. If anyone else in the 'masquerade' illusion is hit, they also disappear. All the people, meaning both Order and Chaos aligned, would be affected by the attack. Physical attacks are harder to hit Tian, but if it's an AoE attack, there's a chance that all of the masquerade can be knocked off at once. Tian has to be constantly moving during the skill, so afterwards, she's very tired.
- Range: If a person wearing a mask is 7 feet or more away from Tian, than the mask/masquerade disappears. If they come back within that area, then it is still 'off' and everything looks normal to them. Since Tian is also moving during this time, the effect moves with her.

This is just a first glace sort of thing but in full honestly, she doesn't strike me as a senshi of mask so much as...
A senshi of mardi gras, which can come off as tacky, (since the holiday..kind of is). If you really want masks as a power sphere, I'd suggest looking at venetian masks? Masks have a very interesting cultural history and actually are used through the world. You could use African, Native America, Asian,ect. Masks are all over. So to go with a mask motif that come from a very commercialized hoilday is..
It's not very flattering to me.

I'm not sure she'd be allowed a mask due to masks in the canon hiding identities, (Tuxedo Mask, Sailor V)? This is just a "IDK' thing.

Masks are about hiding identities, so a blind attack in offshoot way makes sense, but why not have it that she summons a mask onto an ally that creating a sort of illusion where the enemy can't see them? Starting out, it can be very weak, and later on could become a powerful tool. Like, it can't muffle sounds and prevent attacks, but, it does make it harder to fight.
Or, create a disconnect in battle. Get used, the enemy can't recognize them. Their appearance doesn't change, but the enemy can't make the connection.

Rosalind and Duhr IIRC are based not from venetian outfits (which is actually a very wide range), but 'classic' southern belle and historic french 'high fashion'. Sailor Leo also is a Zodiac, has half his face scarred, and the mask you have as a reference isn't a full face mask, it's an eye mask similar to the canon masks; that's why I pointed it out is all. I also pointed it out as only senshi captains have items, so it doesn't make sense for her to have an item?

As for the attack suggestion being OP or god-modding that would actually depend on how you wrote it out. Since so long as there are was weaknesses, and it's clearly defined, an attack that disconnects is viable since you're not RPing out you enemy or telling them that is how they MUST act. There are a few senshi already in play with such attacks that lessen enemy aggression or, divert it. There are also senshi that have attacks that directly effect emotions and such. It's just how the attack is made that determines if it's OP or god-modding.
As for invisibility being OP, you could start out with semi-invisibility, much like a person's reflection in running water. Bits can still be made out on occasions, but the general form and such can still be seen, it can't mask noises or markings made after the fact and lasts until hit or she lands a hit or some relativly short time limit. Again, it's just how attacks that are written that will determine if they're OP.
Truthfully, I don't know why you go for the less magical given the fact that is what senshi are but lol, that's just me.

Most of the stuff I suggested was just my opinions, and continue to be such.

For wearing: It seems like over kill since she has a tiara that has a mask like adornment and just the canon thing. It would just be something to ask about.

For holding: That's a different story. The senshi of crystal has them for what I am guessing, as design purposes. They aren't something she carries around with her (except on her fuku). They aren't an actual 'item' so much as just again, what I assume to be Natsube's design. The crystal in her hand are not part of her attack. Also, its sort of the 'less is more rule'. If her fuku and broach already convey she's a senshi of masks why does she need to be holding a mask?

Attack wise: If the mask she's holding is the one she uses for her attacks think about it. She loses the mask? She's lost her attack. The mask gets destroyed, so is her attack. It's HUGE disadvantage. She's going to power up and end up carrying the mask with her the whole time. All her stages would need her to be carrying a mask then since in order for her to use her base attacks, she'd still need the mask. .

If the item is not for her attacks then it's not really viable since again, only captains get items, and even then those items , (to my knowledge), are not used for attacks.


Attack wise as they are now: the first one is fine but going
'*Note: I know this seems like kind of a weakness, but I also know that Candice would take the initiative to sharpen her other senses as practice so even if she were to take the mask, she wouldn't be that much worse off as before; meaning that she would be able to sense people around her more as if her eyes were just closed*

Kind of kills it. An attack weakness should be an attack weakness. By saying that, it gives off the impression that even if she was blinded, she would STILL be a competent fighter. Which is basically nulling the whole point of blinding her in the first place. So while the base (the 50/50, time limit, one mask) is fine, the fact she 'wouldn't be worse off then before' makes it come as OP. If you're open to it, it might be that she doesn't fully blind someone. Instead, she's severely limits/hinders their vision. Can't make out colors, all very blurry and dark. This way, it still hinders the ability to fight, but doesn't place so much of a hinderance on her that she's blind as bat.

second attack: the fight or flee part can go in part 1 as well. Also, note how many times she can use her attacks in battle. Starting senshi usually are one hit wonders. supers can do two. eternals two max. That tends to be the usual.

eternal attack: SOOO threw me for a loop. She goes from blinding, to creating illusions? she makes them see a ball, with magic people, so she can hide. this is really just OP in the sense that she's crating a massive illusion in how it's worded now. Is it one target? An area of effect? what is the downside to this attack? How does she hide in it? What can cancel this out? Why not have a mask that cast the illusion that they are now a senshi? IE: she hits a nega with it, that nega looks like a senshi, and the other negas can't tell the diffrenece? Or why not a mask that doesn't just blind, but cuts off the ability to smell, taste, hear? Define the attack better i think.

Colors:
She has light blue eyes, a fair complextion, and blond hair. Withe a white fuku base, it might be neat to consider a light blue/blue/silver color scheme to match. Sort of like:

Not the outfits, but more like the colors used.

But I am a biased person when it comes to blue. :<

ive been watching this quest float around and i finally decided to crit it personally XD

to me ... I think the senshi of masks should have a mask. I understand what vamps is saying in that non-captains cant have items, but i dont think a "mask" is considered a captain item. I mean if you said you wanted her to have a wand with a mask on it, that would make sense- no wands until you're a captain. A senshi of masks without a mask though? That just seems silly.

And not only captains have items in their art that don't necessarily connote to captain item. Arsinoe has a lantern because hey- guess what- he's the senshi of lanterns. Vindemiatrix has a wine bottle; senshi of wine. For me, it just makes sense that a senshi of masks would have a mask.

However, I'm not saying I'm right. I would definitely definitely definitely seek GM approval on this <3

I LOVE the fuku color change. I understand why you had it as mardi gras and all, but i definitely like this new one > u< <3

can I ask why you chose tianguan? I read through the wiki page, but didn't really see anything that shouted "mask" at me. Am I maybe just missing it? (I have definitely be known to do so > A>;;; )

I have to say I'm a little confused by her attacks. Mostly its just the wording I think. Back when I did my draco quest, Mouse provided me with an EXCELLENT little format for attacks, that really helps break it down I think!
Execution -- Basically just how your attack looks in corporeality. Draco's is a flamethrower of senshi fire shot from her hands.
Effect -- What happens to the opponent!
Use Limits -- How many times can she use her attack per battle?
Power Limits -- List any and ALL weaknesses that this attack might have.
Range -- how many people can it hit? is it an AoE with a radius?

I think that would definitely clear up some of the confusion with your attacks!
