It was miday and Busara was lounging on a large tree branch that she had found a little beyond the pride's borders. Earlier that day, she had spent her time speaking with some of the other lioness that she had befriended within the pride. She was coming out of her shell more and more the longer that she was there. Busara could honestly say that she was comfortable calling the lands beyond the borders home, and she didn't feel the need to escape and run through the rogue lands as she had previously. The reason that she was outside of pride now was simply because the large mountain did not allow as much of the sun's rays to shine onto the lands as she might have liked. Also, there were many more prey creatures outside than in, and her stomach did appreciate her thoughtfulness. Happy and full, she had found this tree and settles in it to watch the world without worrying too much for her safety. As the wind breezed past and swayed her dangling limbs, she wonderd what the rest of the day would bring her.

Vigo wasn't having the most pleasant of days. Oh, it wasn't anything major. He hadn't met any angry males or hurt himself accidentally or anything. He hadn't even been rejected recently. But today the little things just weren't quite going right. He'd woken up this morning to discover he was laying on an anthill. Later he'd lost his chosen prey twice. Granted, everyone has bad hunting luck once in a while, but by the time he did manage to kill something, it had been small and unsatisfactory, forcing him to have to hunt again later on in the full heat of day. After his lunch he'd sat in a patch of burrs and had to spend an hour cleaning them from delicate places, which thankfully he'd done without any painful results.
Now he'd been traveling for most of the afternoon, and when he finally had spotted a copse of trees to rest in, a steady humming sound had warned him away. Bees were not something to mess with when they had claimed a territory! Thus it was he now plodded along, tail low and shoulders slumped, heading for another group of trees. His ears were pricked for further warning sounds. Knowing his luck, it would be inhabited by a grouchy family of porcupines or some such. it was with a frustrated but relieved sigh that he managed to step beneath the shade of the trees without any further indication of dangerously aggressive annoyances.

The silver lioness had nearly dozed off when she finally heard the sound. The soft rustling noise penetrated her senses trying to pull her out of her relaxed and sleepy state. Opening her eyes fully and flicking her ears, she finally realized that she was no longer alone.
Stealing a quick at her surroundings to see where exactly the sound was coming from. Eventually, she peered down below. Her eyes widened as she spotted the male below her on the ground. She considered simply sitting quietly where she was until he went away since she didn’t know who he was.
However, what would be the fun in that? Stretching out her limbs, she slowly climbed down until she hit the ground. “Hello,” she greeted the strange lion, hoping that she hadn’t just put herself into a dangerous situation.

After the day he'd had, he nearly jumped out of his skin upon hearing heavy paws thudding to the ground, spinning about like a startled cub with his paws splayed. The voice and the vision however soothed his thumping heart. Ah, it was a lioness! The realization was as welcome as the shade was. He truly could use a good turn in his luck, and perhaps that was finally happening.
He was a little embarrassed to be caught so on edge, however, and quickly threw himself onto the cooler earth beneath the trees, trying to look nonchalant. "Quite a warm day, isn't it?" he said casually, attempting to bypass how silly he'd looked by offering inane conversation. Maybe if he pretended he hadn't been caught looking scared, she'd pretend too?
