Now today was going to be a strange one. The island just had that feeling in its air. A day of possibilities. A day of remorse. A day of surprise. A day of awkward encounters. A day of love... If you were into that. Which, Maverick was not. In fact, he had no interest in meeting a partner for romance. Today Mac was looking for someone to 'spend time with.' The man had been in a slump ever since realizing there were only so many NPCs he could spend nights with before starting to run out. Though with new girls becoming legal each month, things weren't to bad. There was a limit though. Which is why the red head had to use every opportunity he had to satisfy himself. Because of this, Mac was at a town festival, without his trusty companion, June, and wearing a more than flashy baby blue deep v-neck shirt and light black trench coat. It was going to be a strange day. The ill-intentioned man stood in the center of the garden, waiting for his 'date' to show up. His face froze into a scowl as he waited. Disgusted with the cold, and tired of having to wait. Even if he had only been here for a little while, it was already to much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unlike the visibly irritated red head, there was one small little thing sitting alone on a bench to the side. Erika had gotten here a bit early, excited to see who she got paired up with. The teen didn't care what kind of person she got. After being stood up for white day, she would have taken anything... With in reason of course. So the blonde sat anxiously in the calm night, with a baggy yellow hoodie. Her eyes wandered from person to person, trying to scope out the yellow color to match hers. However, Erika couldn't help but feel insecure, wondering if the person would show up. Whether the person would be young or old, or even if they would be really cool or super weird. Of course, the young girl would do anything to make sure she wasn't stuck with some monstrous creep, yet, she would take her chances. As long as it wasn't a sonata, the girl figured she could manage. Although, the thoughts only made the girl fidget in her seat. She moved her legs in front of her and leaned onto them with her elbows. Playing off any nervous motion as an attempt to warm herself up when a chill breeze came by.

As the purchase of flowers was deemed an unnecessary expense, Donatella had told Mrs. Park to shift it to clothing instead – it would be easier for the participants, for one, and it would be on the citizen's dime, not hers. Well, outside of her own participation, that is. They were short one woman this festivity and Donatella wasn't going to ask Lilia to stand in – not when she was certain the girl would throw a hissyfit at the idea of work that Fernando wasn't subjected to. She loved her nieces, but she didn't enjoy seeing the 'Sonata tantrum' that had become so associated to her family name. But, that wasn't going to be her thoughts that day. No, Donatella had decided she would enjoy this blind date game. She hadn't met very many people since coming here – being too drowned in her work to really take the time – which was against her nature entirely. She was a social butterfly when work didn't come up and, with the poor reception on the island, she hadn't had a chance to talk to anyone she knew for almost a year now! Not without them breaking up or hanging up the phone out of sheer frustration. The best solution was to try to mingle with her citizens – so, there she was at the garden, in a black shirt, waiting for her date to appear.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
With the same determination to enjoy oneself, Benedikt was at the garden as well. The man had a rather pleased grin on his face as he looked down to the flowers he was sure his brother was in charge of. He wasn't admiring them in any way, really – Benedek wasn't the best gardener in the world and Benedikt wasn't a flower man. A waste of space and money, he would say. The man was happy because of his luck! He would have to say – in complete honesty – he was the luckiest man on the entire island. Not only did he not have to pay rent, not only was he in an entirely open relationship with one of the most attractive males on the island, but Benedikt had, purely because the Goddess must love the hell out of him, been asked to wear a green shirt that day. He had really just signed up for the blind date thing to try to sell life insurance to some love-sick dunce, but now he was actually considering doing something more generous than provide false security! He wasn't sure what as Benedikt had shrugged off any story of generosity as fairy tales, but perhaps that was what this was! Perhaps the green shirt – the almighty color of luck and worth – was foretelling his meeting with a leprechaun that day! One can only hope as he scanned the surroundings to see if a short redhead was going to pop up for him.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
With Summer still going on and Junior's last actual interaction with a human being with an employee at the antique shop, Kade had shoved the man to go participate in the blind date game. Junior, being who he was, did little to protest, though he could think of nothing but disappearing or dying somewhere as he trudged into the garden, clad in a pink shirt. The hue of the shirt was only outmatched by the flushed state of his face in intensity and he had little doubt that everyone in that garden were openly mocking him if he could hear above the thuds of his anxious heart and the constant parades of, Oh, God! floating about his head. A date. A blind date. Hopefully, that statement was more literal than it actually was or else Junior would be in trouble. ...Oh, who was he kidding? He would be in trouble even if she was blind, deaf, and mute. Junior silently wished for a jacket for the umpteenth time as – oh, June. His brain stopped as he saw a certain redhead, his throat feeling dry as a realization occurred to him. Now, Maverick certainly wasn't June, but Junior knew well enough that June and Maverick had been friends during school. He didn't know if Yuri was friends with the redhead too, but he was certain June would still be friendly, especially if Kade's talk of the two 'shacking up' had any truth. Oh, God – what if she was irritated when he ran out and told June and he was going to hurt him and Maverick knew and he wanted to save his friend the trouble and – he was going to be killed. He knew it. He would die in a pink shirt and there was nothing he could do.
Unless.. He swallowed hard and, after a second of thought, started to quickly sign out to the man, 'I'm so so so so sorry, please don't hurt me.' repeatedly from a distance. It was a good thing he had learned sign language his first year – it would just be better if Maverick happened to know it too!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Purple wasn't her favorite color, but Nessa had quite a few purple articles regardless. She walked into the garden in a purple dress that cut halfway up her thighs. It was a warm day on the island and she preferred dresses over pants, plus the only purple thing she had that wasn't a robe or dress was a pair of pajamas. She wasn't going to wear something like that out to a date, comfy or not. Besides, the dress was pretty~ And so flow-y too! It reminded her of one of her robes and that made her too happy to pass up, even if the note had requested a shirt. Oh, well, she was sure that no one was stupid enough to ignore her because she didn't follow the directions exactly. Besides, she noted as she examined everyone there, it looked like she would be the one approaching anyway. Her mysterious purple shirt hadn't appeared yet, which meant she would have to wait and watch. Or admire the plants – they were all so pretty~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Shortly after the blonde teenager had walked into the garden, Benedek had come in with a brown shirt and a sour look. His work relaxed him, true, but that didn't mean being surrounded by pollen producing flowers was something to make him smile. It only reminded him how today wasn't like the regular day where he could ignore everyone in favor of tending agitatedly to the plants. His boss, Ms. Sonata, had roped him into this event – not because she was concerned by his anti-social behavior or anything, but because he had been caught scowling at her when her back was turned. The woman, not too happy by her employee's disdain, decided to exert her dominance by forcing him to do what he would never wish to do. Go on a blind date and be as charming as can be or risk other means of humiliation and possible death. Benedek was an unhappy man, yes, but he wasn't a stupid one. When a Sonata threatened him, he took it seriously, just not pleasantly. Even if she was standing just a pair of flower patches away, Benedek stared heatedly in her direction. But, the woman didn't so much as give him a glance in return – the fact that he was there in a brown shirt as she had instructed was enough to make her happy, even if his behavior was still present.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Wearing an uncharacteristically yellow shirt, Kip had walked into the garden with a small frown at his luck to be forced into such an ungodly bright color. He shouldn't care – and he didn't – but he wasn't particularly happy to know that he would be forced to endure the day in yellow. He had still been too busy playing with Rune and Ellie to get out – he was certain his son had more friends than he did. Ed. Friends. It was laughable and he wasn't going to allow it to continue. He didn't like people very much, which was a massive understatement, but he knew it was abnormal for a man to spend his entire time socializing with a teenage girl. He would have to show his interest in older female or else explain to the entire island that he was Rune's father and not some jailbait... chaser.. He paused in his steps, the cigarette he held falling to the ground as he noted the only other yellow shirt in the garden. Jail bait. Blonde, obviously underage, and with the air of naivety about her – Kip had been paired up with someone who would only fuel rumors about his interests. He regretted dropping his cigarette as he found himself in desperate need for a puff, but that feeling lasted but a moment before he soothed himself and approached the girl (Erika). “Hey. Kip. You are?” He introduced briefly as he took out a carton of cigarettes, holding the box out to her in silent offer before he lit himself one.

-Rune LeBlanc, Eet Alvey-LeBlanc, Leon Kidd, & Stella Hammett-
It was yet another festival to come around. Of course, it would be Valentine's Day. Rune was actually looking forward to this, it was something new. She could do without the matching t-shirts though... It seemed... a little obvious... It made sense of course, no chance of mixing dates or anything but still. Who would her date be though? Now that was the question. Her outfit was pretty much the same as always, her favorite one. The difference was the dark blue shirt she had on. All she had to do now was keep an eye on whoever her date would be. Simple enough right? Definitely simple enough.
How Eet managed to end up in these situations was something no one really ever understood. The figure itself could be seeking bananas in the island right now... Was this John's fault? Eet was attached to the boy but... this was just mean. Plus it had to steal a color shirt from John, WELL, John gave it to Eet, but it's wouldn't be as nice to say the latter. Eet's shirts were rather plain, it needed a purple shirt for this. The teenager wandered around the area for a good bit, looking around who was here. Eet being Eet, eventually got distracted by plants and began crouching near them to look at. It would take a few... couple... a while, for the purple shirt to reach the area where another purple item of clothing was. Eet's head went to the side as it stood or rather crouched in front of another purple person, with some plants standing between them, just staring intently at the girl, Nessa.
Hopefully this one would bring some luck for dear ol' Leon. Things were all right, kind of slow but peaceful so he couldn't complain but... He really wanted to spend time with anyone. Valentine's Day was just perfect for that. So here he arrived with a silver shirt. Nothing too casual or too fancy. It was the balanced he would strive for. So, success! But alas... there were no other silver shirts around just yet.
Normally people would shy away from blind dates, not head right into them. Well Stella would be out of the norm. She actually found them entertaining, you'd skip the 'how to approach' stage. Or something along those lines. The other person shouldn't think you're a creeper if you're supposed to meet anyways. Now, to look around for her date... It might be tough to seek him out, but definitely not the other way around. She had on a baby blue t-shirt under her jacket that went along with the blue of her hair. It was pretty casual, but definitely not something you skipped over in a crowd. Aha~ Neither was another baby blue shirt standing around. One, two, a couple more steps and Stella was just a few feet away from him. "I think you're mine" lightly smiled the young woman, moving a hand to adjust that bipolar beret. "Stella Hammett at your service~"

While admiring the various plants growing about the garden, Nessa had come to find herself looking at a pair of brown eyes rather than the daffodil she expected. She paused for a second to register the boy infront of her before straightening back up, slipping her hands to her hips, and examining in him thoughtfully. Purple shirt, male – she assumed – and odd, to say the least. Nessa had found her match for the day, it seemed, or he had found her. He seemed older than her, but, well, considering how old some of the men around the garden looked, she supposed she had lucked out. She smiled at him, “Hello there.” She held a hand out to him, either to shake in greeting or help him up, she didn't mind which. “My date, right? I know I'm not wearing a shirt, but this dress was too cute to pass up! What do you think?” She tugged at the hem of her dress with her free hand to further indicate it, letting it drop back to it's usual length as she recalled something. “I'm Nessa – Nessa Wicher. I'm new here.. Are you a native?”

xxxTɑliɑ Vɑlhɑlxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx»» foreign scientist ►►Talia had never been very good at checking her mail. By the time she had even noticed a little white letter had arrived in her box, it was the day of and she was panicing. Her mind racing through all the things she should say or do. In her rush, Talia had picked out a generic brown t-shirt, like the letter had said, and pulled it over her head. She managed a dark blue jeggings to match. The blonde took a good moment to look herself in the mirror. It was definitely not the outfit she would have picked but Talia had to make things work according to plan. It was her first blind date and it would be glorious...hopefully? Hopefully she decided.
With heart racing and a cheeky grin on her lips, Talia jogged out from her room and out into the streets. Her legs carrying her to the public garden after several long minutes. Her first thought was: how will I know who I'm meant to be with? But that answer was slowly answered as pairs of colours came together. Taking a moment, Talia slowly looked around searching for a shirt that matched hers. A man (Benedek) came into sight. 'What...what should I do?' Talia wondered. She was never known to be very shy, so why start now? With this thought hanging onto her conviction for action, the woman strolled over to the man.
Her blue eyes caught his glaring angerly towards another woman. Talia wasn't sure if she should interupt this...loathful moment for him but she did anyways. The scientist slowly arrived beside the man, her voice lightly rising, "Um, hey. Nice shirt." She paused, looking over his face. He was handsome and tonight would be good - again, she hoped - before she added, "I'm Talia." Her teeth flashed in a smile waiting for his response. ◄◄ OOC: Sorry, midterms = death.

Really waiting was just a bit to much for this impatient red head. This date should have showed up early so that he or she had no chance of putting Maverick in a foul mood. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Mac stood for awhile, alone, wallowing in his frustration, until he was approached. He heard a strange, whimsical tone fly his way, and to assess what it was, his green eyes slowly slid up to the source. "A woman huh," The man said as he felt a sigh about to slip from his lips. Not that that he particularly minded a female. He actually quite liked their anatomy. However, Maverick was a firm believer in that men knew what they wanted and woman... Well, this one definitely didn't look like any sort of adult to her. The red head's eyes squinted at the blue hair in front of him, fighting back a frown. She was definitely one of 'those' kind of girls. Mac held out his hand to Stella with a small smile, slipping his other hand into his pocket, "Maverick, just call me 'Mac'." He introduced himself, shook her hand, and then released hers to put that hand in his pocket as well. "So?" He then began, his face showing the bit of frustration left in him, "What do you want to do?"------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It hadn't been long since Erika had started waiting for her date. Or at least, it didn't feel long. Fantasies about what kind of person would appear filled her head and distracted her far from being able to keep track of time. So before she knew it, she was already face to face with a man in the same color as her. And immediately after meeting her eyes with his, she shrunk down immensely. An older man! The teen's face began to burn a bright red as she contemplated the situation fate had once again put her in. How come she couldn't just meet a normal guy her age? One who wasn't weak and girly or one who wasn't so obviously into other guys... Was this island just not meant for a teenage girl to be a girl. After sitting for a minute or two of silence, Erika decided that it was best to at least talk to her 'date'. After all, it wasn't his fault that he was the one paired up with her. Besides, "I must not be what you were looking forward to huh?" The blonde spoke sheepishly as she stood up to present herself to the man, Kip. She pushed a strand of hair back behind her ear and looked up to him with a solemn look, "I'm Erika, it's nice to meet you."

..No comment on the dress. Nessa tried not to frown as he simply nodded at her with a grunt in response, finding herself to be the only one really interested in talking. Was he.. slow? She studied his eyes closely in a not so subtle inspection before concluding that, no, he wasn't slow. He was just.. mysterious. She smiled brighter at that notion, an idea coming together so nicely that she couldn't contain her excitement at it. “Eet?” She repeated, spending a second or two to realize that that was his name – Eet! It was just as out of place as the man himself and – ah.. She raised a brow as she saw how much shorter he was than her. She could have sworn he was older than her by a good few years, but this new discovery had her wondering – he looked too.. youthful. But perhaps that was on purpose! It added to his mysteriousness! And his smile – so.. somewhat confident! Ah, perfect! “That's cool! I don't think I'm a native anywhere. I would love to know where I'm from too.” She had expected any native islanders to look, well, more exotic, but the man was good enough so far. She pointed towards the entrance of the garden next, “I was hoping we could take this date somewhere more private. I'm not used to crowds, so.. if we could go find somewhere else to hang out.. like, maybe we could go to the general store. I'm sure no one would be there right now.” She had no reason to believe that, but, well, Nessa had no reason not to either. Eet would tell her if she's wrong, anyway.

Amidst willing Donatella to look over and perhaps realize that nothing she could do would ever stifle the contempt he had for her, Benedek was broken from his concentration by a voice at a most annoying pitch. A female. He jerked his head around, ready to snap at the blonde who had approached him until she ran off crying when he took in her shirt and words. Brown. Obviously, his date. He bit his tongue, forcing a small wince onto his expression in that moment while he attempted to figure out what he was to do right then. His instincts told him he should probably walk away and consequences be damned, but he knew better than to trust those impulses. Donatella was as intimidating as any Sonata, more sensible or not. Regrettably, his drive to survive had yet to be taken care of. “....Benedek.” He introduced slowly, stalling for time. What was the 'charming' thing to do? He continued to lightly chew on his tongue out of anxiety before releasing it with a prolonged groan under his breath. “Listen, do you drink? I'll pay for a round or two. Come on.” Charming enough, he supposed. He put a hand to her back and turned her around from where she came, starting to guide her out of the garden before she replied.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Cute. Or she would be, given a few years. Kip didn't like them young, despite what he was certain was thought of him – Erika would have been in much more trouble if she were, say, ten years older. Unfortunately for him, she was the classic image of a shy, innocent teenager – in yellow. He hated that color. The man pocketed the carton as she didn't seem to want one and lit his own cigarette up during the silence, patiently waiting for her to get over her sudden anxiety and introduce herself. He had ended up wondering, idly, if perhaps she would beat Ellie's score of awkward silences when she stood up, drawing his eyes onto her again. More forward than her, apparently. “Not really. But, nice to meet you, Erika.” He repeated monotonously after she, if only to remain somewhat polite. A long drag on his cigarette in thought later and the man spoke again, “Bored, though, so let's talk. Tell me about yourself. What do you do for fun?” A conversation would be something more, he supposed, and Erika didn't seem like she had anything better to do herself anyway.

xxxTɑliɑ Vɑlhɑlxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx»» foreign scientist ►►The woman was unsure how to handle this man exactly. She deemed he felt uncomfortable; although anyone could see him stumbling around in the awkward moments of silence between his words. Talia would have loved to fill them with questions and jokes; however, she wanted to make a good impression. Her passed experiences hadn't ever become very successful so perhaps she needed a different approach. Listening was what she would do tonight, maybe, for a while...she'd try at least. 'Yeah, try.' Talia silently mused until she felt a hand on her back and a forced to turn around. "Um, that'd be great?" Talia replied somewhat unsure. Trying to get your date drunk was another approach to this situation, the blonde noted, following the man out.◄◄ OOC: So, the windmill?

It seemed that with every year, Nanami came to appreciate Valentine's Day more and more. It hadn't yielded any romantic successes before, but that wasn't why she was here. Life was lonely, sometimes, in her little quiet corner of the town, and she was always up for an excuse to talk to someone new. And this year really was new. Shirts, not flowers. Well, that made sense. Sometimes it was hard to identify the correct type of flower. And she was thankful that she had a top in the right shade just lying around. Silver wasn't really a great color on her, but that was secondary. For now, she was off by herself, looking around for someone wearing the same top. Silver stood out amongst all these brighter tones. Actually, it was quite nice to see all the couples in their matching colors. It was kind of sweet. Anyway, it didn't take her very long at all to spot her date -- Leon. She was surprised by the coincidence (though the festival felt significantly less attended compared to previous years), but not negatively so. He was young, yes, but he was a nice enough man. Adjusting the sleeves of her blouse, she made her way over to the blonde man and gave him a small wave. "Hello," she said with a smile. "Looks like we're paired up again. What a coincidence. The world really is a funny place, isn't it?" she chuckled.
---
Rory had spent way too much time trying to find a shirt in the right shade. Dark blue was such a vague color. At first, it was just a matter of finding a blue shirt, but then... Was it really dark blue, or was it something else entirely? What if his date couldn't find him because he picked the wrong color? He spent a while examining color swatches on the internet, and next thing he knew, he was on the verge of being late. But now that he was here, he felt a little silly for agonizing over it. A girl wearing a blue shirt was right over there! She looked young, but that didn't bother Rory in the slightest. He wasn't the kind of guy who had alternative motives, anyway... So he waltzed right over to Rune and greeted her with a grin. "Hello there! That's a dark blue shirt you're wearing, correct? ...Oh, wait, or is it more navy...?"
---
This was Yuri's kind of festival. Just complete chance, no idea who you were going to end up with. It was fun, like gambling or something. She had never gambled before, but she figured it was a similar sensation. Furthermore, it was one of the few times of the year when she didn't obsess over June. This festival was about her, just her, meeting some new, possibly desperate, guy. The only problem was this change from the flower system. She was wearing a pink shirt. Of all colors, pink! She really wasn't a pink sort of person, so the only thing she could find was some baggy old thing. She couldn't even remember where it was from. She did her best to style it in a way that it didn't look completely awful, but still, the sight of herself in the mirror was not a happy one. But not even pink could dampen her spirits. After checking her makeup in her compact mirror, she entered the garden and began to look around for her date. A man in pink wasn't that hard to find, especially when that man had red hair and an even redder face. Junior. Yuri had to take a moment to smile at the coincidence. "Whoa," she breathed as she walked over to her date and tapped him lightly on the shoulder to get his attention. "Looks like you're my date! Must be fate or something, huh?" she added with a wink. Well, it could be worse than Junior. He was fun to watch, at least, and he was nice. "Hope you don't mind, of course. You did run out pretty fast last time." She was teasing. Hopefully it would go over better than at the antique shop.
---
Cherry didn't know why she was here. Dating was not her thing, let alone a blind date. She found it all very frivolous, and frankly, she didn't see herself meeting anyone worthwhile through a local festival anyway. But for some reason, the idea had been appealing. Maybe she was starting to get stircrazy. In any case, she was dressed in a simple black casual suit. One glance at the other couples made her thankful that she was assigned a normal color. Imagine if she had to show up in pink! Of course, black didn't stand out as much, so as she paced through the garden, in search of a woman wearing a similar shade, she had time to adjust her hair and clothes. Everything had to be perfect.
Soon enough, she spotted a woman wearing black. It could have been a coincidence, but she would never know until she tried. As she got closer to the woman, she realized who she was. Donatella, the mayor. For a moment, she wondered if it was a joke. Setting her up with the mayor of all people. But once again, the odds of that were relatively slim. Besides, even a mayor had the right to meet new people! And so she walked over to her date and greeted her, holding out her hand to shake. "Hello," she began, standing with her head high (though she didn't need to -- even in heels, she was probably still a little bit taller than the older woman) "You must be my date. My name's Natasha. Natasha Garcia."
---
Edmund was not one for Valentine's Day. This isn't to say he wasn't a romantic -- he appreciated romance when it was used appropriately, and respected it as a literary tool, but Valentine's Day did not fall under such a category. It was so commercial and forced. The fact that this festival was filled with vendors selling chocolate, and that they held a blind date service, was evidence of this. He was not here for those things. He was here for his daughter. He had brought her here to have a better life, not to bum around with strange men! She was only a child, afterall, much too young to be participating in festivals like this. He had to keep an eye on her, just for today. But he couldn't do that just on his own. It would be suspicious, and she would surely figure out what he was doing. He had to go undercover. He wasn't entirely sure how wearing a green shirt made him any less noticeable, but at least it gave him an excuse.
His face was set in a deep scowl. Nessa was wearing such a short dress, all while talking to some.... boy...? Whatever it was, it was definitely older than fourteen, and he did not approve. Thankfully, his daughter's date did not seem like trouble, but that didn't mean he was trustworthy! The man stared and stared and stared, until he realized what he was doing. He was supposed to be on a date, right? He didn't have much of an interest in it, but for now, he glanced around to find someone wearing a green shirt as well. He quickly spotted Benedikt and walked over to him, taking long strides. "Excuse me," he addressed the man somberly. Then he stepped behind the man and resumed his staring at Ness and Eet from a distance. He towered over the younger man, so it wasn't much of a hiding place, but who was going to argue with him?

While her attention had previously been on watching Benedek with some mild pleasure, her date had apparently managed to sneak up on her. The voice of another female had drawn her eyes quite suddenly to her left, where a youthful Ms. Garcia stood. Donatella hadn't actually met the women yet, but, considering she was employed in their public school, she had been briefed on her presence. She looked prettier than the average school counselor did – which pleased the Sonata as she took her hand and gave it a firm shake. “Natasha.” She paused after repeating that name – ah.. it didn't sound familiar and she was certain the counselor had some sort of odd name.. Not as simple as 'Natasha'. Perhaps there was another Garcia family in town? Or this could be the counselor's sister or daughter, even. It wasn't so farfetched of an idea, so she accepted it easily before carrying on, “It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Mayor Sonata, as you would guess, but we're on equal terms today, so Donatella is fine.” She let go of the woman's hand and smiled at her in a friendly manner. “Is there anything you wanted to do today? I didn't have any plans myself.” She wasn't really sure who she would end up with, after all, and it was only a friendly date. She doubted dinner or any of the other activities she usually took potential interests on would be appropriate to set up ahead of time.

As if the day couldn't get any better – rather than a redhead, a head of green came towering out from nowhere over Benedikt before he could say a darned thing! He had been stunned for a second – for one, the sheer height of the man was astronomical and, secondly, he had to double take to make sure the man wasn't his brother. Not that the man looked like him at all and there was little chance Benedek would ever get to that height, but the only other individual he knew of to have green hair was his brother. It would just be the icing on the cake if the blind date ended being a set up by his brother. He doubted the man was that diabolical, but one can never be sure. But, happy day, it wasn't true! This was just his lovely date in a lovely green shirt with even lovelier green hair~ “You're excused, mate!” He said cheerfully as he set a hand on the man's shoulder to better balance himself on his tiptoes – he had to do it to reach the other's hair for a quick, friendly ruffle~! He was in too good a mood to remember people's usual need for personal space and, after having mostly just Kevin as company for a good many years, it wouldn't be unlikely to say he had forgone the notion entirely. “Fit color if I've ever seen one – you do this yourself, mate? I had a job like that once. Went natural, but wouldn't mind dying it back sometime.” If he ever felt like wasting the money for one of his many competing loves, that is. He dropped his hand from the man's hair, but kept the other on his shoulder as he introduced himself, “Benedikt's the name. Don't suppose you're my date?”

..Oh, GOD, Junior was doomed. It was this island, wasn't it? Everytime he was off of it, he swore, his life was.. just the same amount of pathetic, but, well, he didn't get into situations like this! The man had just finished his twenty-eighth signed plea for his life towards Maverick when he realized that the fellow redhead was too busy to pay attention to him. His date had appeared, which relaxed Junior until he realized that he too had a date and that date was right there. It would have made him itch and twitch if it was just some regular girl, but, no; it was Yuri. This felt like an asthma attack. He seriously forgot to breath for the entirety of her speech – and then some, to where his lungs began to burn and he was forced to gasp. “I-I – wuh, uh, um, ah – so-sor- I-I meuh..” He paused to take a breath, stopping his stutters and blabbers long enough for him to formulate a sentence.
“..H-hi.” Not a good one or, well, even a long one, but the man had done it and, for that, he felt somewhat proud. He relaxed his shoulders just a tad and regulated his breathing enough to where he didn't feel faint. She remembered him! Again! Two remembers! He should mark it on a calender! If it didn't feel like such a sad thing to do, he probably would, but that was to be contemplated later. For now, he was stricken with guilt and panic, “N-no! No, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to – I just.. you're – ah, a.. I mean, I'm sorry, I won't.. run away again. I.. had something..” His quickly thought up excuses continued in a mumble for a moment more before his voice came back up to a more audible range, his eyes raising from the ground in the same moment to the woman's. “You can. If y-you want, I mean, I understand. You d-don't have to stay.” She probably didn't need his permission for that, but he felt the urge to give it to her anyway – if only to be polite.

“Great.” Benedek replied in all honesty to the woman as he continued to herd her away from the garden. They would be out of his boss's sight, the woman would be quieted and hopefully would pass out after a drink or two, and Benedek would be able to drink some. If he was lucky, she would be the quiet or shy type and spend most of it in awkward silence with him. God knows it would be hard enough not saying something out of turn without her saying anything, he didn't need her testing him anymore than this already was. Benedek spent the rest of the walk to the bar attempting to recall what coping methods one usually had with frustrations – his parents had to have taught him something.. or maybe Benedictus could have. He didn't care where the knowledge would have come from, but he just really wanted it right then – at least until he could order a drink or four.

-Rune LeBlanc, Eet Alvey-LeBlanc, Leon Kidd, & Stella Hammett-
Luck behold Rune wouldn't have to wait too long. She had managed to distract herself humming a little melody she danced to every now and then when a blond man approached him-oh in a matching shirt as well. Well, almost matching, their tones were slightly off. "Oh hello! Um..." trailed off Rune, glancing at the shirts for a moment. "I'm sure they could both pass off as dark blue" she smiled, laughing slightly at that. Indeed, dark blue was a vague term. Rune wouldn't say she was expecting an older man, but last time she got her brother... so this was a definite step up in the right direction. "Oh, my name's Rune. Rune LeBlanc" said the white-haired lad, offering a hand in greeting to the man. She was sure he seemed a bit familiar... but where?
Perhaps Nessa wasn't used to silent others, but Eet was certainly used to the chatty ones. How else would have it survived being Kade's dress-up doll throughout the years? Or being John's cow... or a lot of things Eet's memory saved it of. Rather lack of it. The voyage Eet's mind had embarked on was shot short with Nessa asking about natives again. Was she one? Wherever she was from? Who knew... It couldn't help with that, but with the store? Eet could certainly help there! It was a holiday though... Not that Eet kept track of such things. Besides even if the place was locked, there was a special entranced that always worked. "Yeh" merely commented Eet before turning around and starting off to the General Store's direction. It turned back once more to signal Nessa to follow it. A normal walking stance by Eet would last just a few feet before the adolescent would rather his normal crawl/walk tarzan-esque stance.

"Miss Nanami" greeted Leon with a smile at the sight of his acquaintance, returning a small wave. Oh, it also looked as though they were each other's date once more. The man certainly wouldn't mind, she was a lovely woman. Granted, a bit far from his desired age group, but he would gladly take that company from the woman. "It does look like it" chuckled the man in agreement. "Can't say that I mind, we will keep each other company then. Unless you do want to take advantage of this young stallion, or do you?" commented the man with a slight grin. Of course he was joking, he had a taken a liking to the woman, and they had both gotten the impression that they just company to each other on their first date. "How have you been? Everything all right at work?"
"Yep... A woman" idly commented Stella. Whether he was all right with that wasn't something she had control over... Now what if she had been with a girl... Interesting thought... Instead she had this quite taller male that clashed with her own color. Not that she minded, but it kept her focus on that, at least while he had his turn to talk. Mac... Short, it fit. Her hands went to the edge of her pockets once Mac released one, while she pondered what to do. "What can we do?" countered Stella, her gaze hoping to meet his. "I haven't been around here too long so..." Sure she knew her routes, but every now and then she'd end up at the woods for some reason. Which was good because there were a couple of places to leave deliveries at but still. "What do you usually do?"

Well, he didn't seem completely disappointed. That was a relief. Nanami was notoriously lax about things like this, but Leon was a young man, it was silly to expect the same way of thinking. But as long as he seemed remotely okay with the situation, she would power right on ahead. She was too old to waste time worrying about little things like that! "Oh my, isn't that tempting," she laughed heartily at her date's joke. It really wasn't that funny, but she took a bit of pleasure in the teasing. Her grin could only last so long, however, as it quickly dimmed slightly as Leon mentioned work. "Ahh... Well, it's been going... I wouldn't say well, though," she let out a small sigh at the thought and unconsciously flexed her fingers. "Business has been a little slow lately. I hope things are going better for you," she offered a hopeful smile. An antique shop probably had more customers than a little hole-in-the-while specialty business like hers. Absentmindedly, she reached back and touched the back of her bare neck. This wasn't exactly a pleasant topic for her at the moment. "But regardless, would you like to go somewhere? Have you eaten?" she proposed. Standing and making smalltalk didn't sound nearly as much fun.

Oh, good, Rory wasn't wrong. How embarrassing would that be, to show up and mistake navy for dark blue! He didn't know how well young people noticed things like this nowadays, but the last thing he wanted was some young woman laughing at him for being slightly colorblind. "Oh, good, I was worried there for a second," he chuckled lightheartedly. Well, now that he didn't have to worry about that anymore, he felt a lot better about the day! "Rune, huh? That's a nice name," he replied as the girl introduced herself. LeBlanc... That was a familiar name. But everything was familiar nowadays! "I'm Rory Cameron. It's nice to meet you, Rune." Now that he took a look at her face up close, she was pretty young. How nice, to be at the prime of your youth! "Is there anything you'd like to do tonight, Rune?" he asked eagerly. Maybe she knew of some cool new youth trends that he could pick up! He didn't get out of his museum much, he sometimes felt a little wrapped up in the past.
---
For the first time in her life, Yuri thanked her luck. Junior was just as delightfully entertaining as he had been before, and maybe even more. The red face, the nervous movements, the stammering in a low tone, it was all so... cute. And what a feeling, to know that she was the reason he was acting like that! It made her want to give him a hug, and tease him some more, all at once. It was an interesting feeling, sort of new, and she was so pleased with herself and the situation that she couldn't possibly feel bad for expressing such a sadistic side of herself. "Don't worry about it," she smiled pleasantly and shook her head. "And I would like to stay. Actually, I'm pretty happy with the way things turned out. Ending up with you and all that. Aren't you?" she cocked her head to the side slightly and looked at him expectantly. It was just all so much fun, she couldn't help but push him a little bit more. What other amusing reactions would he have? "Anyway," she continued, lightly placing her hand on the inside of his elbow, as if offering an invitation to link arms. "It's a date, right? Should we go and do something date-like?" Her smile was probably a little too eager. If she teased too much, he might run away again, and she'd be absolutely disappointed if that happened.

"Donatella," Cherry repeatedly thoughtfully, experimenting with the sound of it. It wasn't a bad name. Significantly better than 'Cherry', that's for sure. "It's nice to meet you in person." She had known of the mayor for as long as she had lived on the island, and this was the first time she had ever really heard the woman speak. She was glad to hear that she spoke as professionally as one would hope. In fact, Cherry quite approved of her date's demeanor. Christopher often said that she needed to lighten up, but she didn't share the same sentiments. She preferred a professional air, and put her at ease to know that she didn't have to worry about spending a evening with someone sloppy and immature. "Ahh, my evening is also free," she replied with a quick glance to her wristwatch. "I'm sure anywhere you'd like to go would be fine with me. But if you're looking for a suggestion, I suppose... we could go get a cup of coffee?" She wasn't a huge coffee drinker, but she could use a little kick at least. She glanced at the other couples around them. It was getting noisy here, so relocating somewhere else was a tempting idea. "...Somewhere quiet."
---
Even though Edmund had gone straight ahead to stand behind his date, it hadn't quite registered in his mind that by doing so, he was initiating conversation. He was much too fixed on his daughter over there. Actually, he hadn't noticed that Benedikt was facing him at all until a mysterious hand ruffled his hair! He was yanked back to earth, and gave the younger man a bewildered look before smoothing down his hair. It may have been green, but he was picky about maintaining a clean appearance. "Pardon?" he questioned, so busy trying to regain the context of the situation (and making heads or tails of the man's bizarre accent) that he didn't really much of what Benedikt said after that. "...Oh, yes, date. That's what this is." He glanced back over in Nessa's direction. "I'm Edmund. Pleasure to meet you, I suppose..." He was horribly distracted, but he had at least heard the man's name. "Benedikt's a proper name," he mused with a nod of approval. He wondered what that person talking to Nessa was called. Probably something disgustingly casual, like Sam or Rick.

Mac just stayed quiet for awhile, focusing on a familiar face in the background. He didn't have much interest in what him and his date would being doing tonight, since to him it would only end two ways. Whether or not which way it ended was totally up to the other. So when it came to be Maverick's decision to go and do something, it wasn't a fun choice. Slipping his hand into his pocked, the red head pulled out a cartoon of cigarettes and a lighter. He lit one and took a long hit, exhaling roughly afterwards. "I drink," He eventually answered Stella with an apathetic look. His stoic face soon turned a bit more soft when a small mischievous smile appeared. Mac took his date by the wrist and began to lead her away, "I know a place we can go." The man then took a planned route out of the place. Making sure to pass by a certain close friend along the way. A young woman who was enjoying a date with a certain someone from high school. As he passed Yuri, he tugged at the back of her hair, before taking his date off to their destination. Of course he wouldn't care either way if Yuri was on a date or not, but it was nice to know that she knew he knew. -Exit to June and Mac's Apartment- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Erika felt a bit fidgety as the man began to talk to her. It was hard for a young girl to not feel awkward when talking to an adult man. The only thing that kept her from excusing herself was the fact that he was smoking, since her father often did it as well. It kept Erika in a semi-calm state. At least, enough for her to sit back down and start talking. Starting with a, "Okay." She thought a bit before answering. As if she didn't really know what she liked to do that let her have fun. "Um," The blonde began, putting a finger to her chin, "Walk... I guess?" That seemed the most viable answer. "I like to shop, and try on clothes, and play with my siblings," She started to get a little more excited as she talked. It was easy to talk about the things you like after all. "My little brother is really cute!" Erika spoke with high interest, turning her head to the man with a large smile, "He's only a couple months old, but he's really adorable!" Maddy was so tiny after all! He looked good in girl's dresses too! Though Reed wasn't a big fan of his one and only boy dressed as the opposite gender. However, it pleased Erika very much.
