Whereas the uttermost left side of the beach sits a cave, in the opposing direction is the lighthouse. Of course, what island wouldn't have a lighthouse? Ah, but it is seen, that this one is a bit under the weather. Old, falling apart, but still in use on particularly old and windy nights. Who is running it? Well, no one.. But, there is still said to be a stream of light emitting from this tower in hurricanes and thunderstorms, a light that can't possibly be man made.. If one were to focus, there is a color – a small, dying trickle of color – that is different for everyone. Some rainbow, some blue, it always varies. A few adventurous sort may enter through the doorway with ease, the door long gone if there ever was one, and travel up the winding stairs to find the source of Nirvani's guiding light. Despite appearances, the inside is quite stable and safe, just be cautious of the rats and birds that have made their home here. The walls are bare and that beautiful light from outside does nothing to help one through the gloom. Still, up few may go, reaching the top in search of the bearer.. Only to find a broken light and a shrine. Here, we give worship to the Lightning Fairy and all it's past followers.

In hindsight, the lighthouse was not the best spot to pick. The brochure Talia had come across a few days ago was extremely misleading, describing the point as the most beautiful place in the world. Seeing the shabbiness of the building was almost as disappointing as when Talia found out that Santa was a lie.

The woman had ventured up onto the top level. She had tried to shoo away the scattered rats and birds; however, they always seemed to come back. Their beaty little eyes looking to the picknick basket hanging from her arm. "Move it! Get going!" She muttered, throwing her foot around the place of the rats. Talia would hate to hit them but she hated them staring her down even more. With a small huff, the woman withdrew herself from the light house and strolled over to one of the large blocks of rubble. Without a word, she stooped onto the rock and dropped the basket to her side. Her face becoming buried in her hands as she tried to pick her mood back up. Here she was, about to meet a man she had never met in a place more horrible than the dump. If Talia hadn't thought herself bold for betting on a guy, she did feel bold now. Stupidly bold.

Taking a deep breath, Talia pulled herself from face back into the light. Her eyes darting towards the sea that seemed to merge with the horizon as the sun began to fade. "At least the view is nice." Talia sighed.

Claude had no understanding of why his date was going to be at the lighthouse. He didn't even know that the thing looked like crap, which didn't help his opinion of the place. He had considered bringing several different things, but settled for a bouquet of wild flowers. Roses were a little too expensive for a girl he'd never seen before. He was a bit on edge about this whole blind date thing, but he didn't have anything else to do. So, here we was. Wearing black dress pants and a dark grey dress shirt and walking up to the lighthouse that seemed to be so far away. He smiled once he came into sight of the lighthouse and the blond girl on the rock. He pulled the flowers from his side and looked at them, attempting to decide if he should throw them back behind him before she spotted them. She looked a bit down, so he decided on keeping them. Not that his looks alone wouldn't be enough to perk her up, but there was always the small chance that she didn't enjoy good looking men. Someone had to find the homely men good looking. But, this girl looked pretty hot from here, so her standards should be high.

He approached the rock and smiled again as he reached the flowers out to her. "You are Talia, right? Otherwise, I'm going to have to take these flowers back and it's going to be awkward." He was proud of himself for making a little joke. "I'm Claude, by the way."

Talia sighed once more as her eyes stuck to the falling sun. It wasn't until she heard words that her attention moved. Her blue eyes fell upon a man who claimed to her date. Frankly, Talia couldn't complain. He was everything was had been hoping for - except he lacked the uniform. 'Why would I think he would wear his outfit out here in the first place? Silly Talia.' She silently scolded herself while letting her features fall into a smile. "Oh, yeah, thanks." Talia answered, rising to her feet and taking up the flowers. She smelt them softly before letting another smile fall onto her lips. These really were sweet. It took her a moment to realize that this silent may be awkward for him so Talia tried to start up. She began to face the lighthouse as she answered somewhat awkwardly, "So, um, I had planned to have dinner in the light house, but let's be honest, it's the most horrible place on this island." Talia paused, sizing it up once more, "And perhaps the world."

Her eyes took to Claude as the scientist tried to manage another way about this, "I'm really sorry. I probably shoulda checked it out before. Guess I'm a little too impulsive, ha..." She pulled the flowers closer in feeling more awkward than ever. "Do you mind just having dinner out here? I know it's not fancy or anything, but the view is at least notable. Is that okay? I don't mean to force you into anything, unless it involves some leather and-" She stopped. That comment may be extremely awkward, espcially since he may not like her humour. Talia tried to recover, "But yeah, dinner here?" She tried to hide her blush with a grin. It failed.

Claude turned to look at the lighthouse, goddess. It was a lot uglier up close. It took all that he had to not start laughing at how horrible this place was, but he was trying to be on his best behavior. He turned back to her and just smiled, taking note of the picnic basket. So it was good that he didn't bring food, that would have been kind of awkward to have to choose which packed meal was better. He wasn't very good at cooking, so it probably would have been some lame a** peanut butter and banana sandwich with milk. But, hey. At least he tried. Well, that really wasn't trying, was it? The girl had a nice voice, something he actually enjoyed listening too. Nothing like his brother who had that annoying nasal sound to him. He was enjoying listening to her so much that he barely noticed her say something about leather. But, his perv senses were tingling and he cocked his head towards her. "That doesn't sound very bad, at all." It was cute that she was blushing. He hadn't planned on this date going so well. "It's fine, let's just hope the snow stays at bay. I didn't know this place was crappy, either. We can just laugh about it, eh?" He let out a little chuckle then sat down on the rock. The view was really beautiful, he couldn't deny that. He looked up at her, "So, may I ask what is on the menu?" He smiled again, it was kind of rare for him to smile so much. His cheeks were going to be so sore by the end of the night.

Talia was boundlessly pleased when he said that his would be alright. It was in no way an ideal situation and to have him so accepting of her screw up made the last dying rays of sun feel that much warmer. With a silly smile painted across her pink lips, Talia took a seat beside him so that her leg was touching his. The woman felt intially embaressed by this and inched herself away while bending over to pick up the picnic basket to try to divert his attention that she had almost just sat on him.

Bringing herself back straight, Talia held the basket on her lap and answered while opening the small wooden box, "Chinese. I wasn't really sure what want you liked so I got a few boxes of everything...Here." She passed him a small box filled with an assortment of everything. Of course, she could have chosen him the worst thing every. Either way, she felt obliged to say, "If you don't like it, tell me. I can take the disappointment." There was a small grin on her lips as she added, "Plus then I getta take you away to somewhere else." This, for literal reasons, meant another building away from the lighthouse, such as a restaurant; although, her mind was screaming her room. It had been a while since she had been on a date, and she didn't want to waste it with awkward chatter and tip-toeing around trying to hide her bold form.

Claude gave Talia another odd look, but this time it was due to the fact that he was almost positive she had tried to sit on him. Was she just being flirty? Playful? Was she just that clumsy? Or just that weird? He had no idea, but the smell that came towards him when the food was brought out took his mind completely off of how odd she was acting and he had never felt quite so happy to see a Chinese box. "I love Chinese." It was all he could mutter before grabbing a utensil and starting to scarf the wonderful smelling food down. Ah, it was like a smorgasbord of everything delicious coming right for his taste buds. It took him awhile before he came back up for air. He then wiped his face on his forearm and looked over at her. "Oh, don't worry about me not liking it, doll. There isn't really any food I don't like. Not a very picky man. But, if you want to go somewhere else, that's fine by me." He took this opportunity to look back over at the lighthouse with a smirk. It really wasn't at all like he had imagined.

It wasn't long after the little he said that he was back to eating. But, it wasn't ever really a good idea for him to eat around any girl. Well, unless it was one he didn't like at all. Laurent was always telling him how barbaric of an eater he was, but he neglected to ever really hear him over the sound of his own chewing. He wiped his mouth on the sleeves of his shirts, wiped his hands on his pants, ate like he had gone weeks without eating, and he usually had some gnarly belches right after. Hopefully that wouldn't put too much of a damper on his date, not that he'd ever understand why.

To her thanks, the man hadn't taken her clumsiness too seriously. If he had asked, Talia would have sworn that she was never so silly. It was only when she got nervous which would be about now. It didn't also help that she slightly swooned when he called her 'doll'. She prayed that was a good sign but more likely it was just how he spoke to girls.

Fortunatly her hands did not fumble too much as she took to her own meal from the basket. Her fingers taking care in opening up the stop of the small container. Letting the smell entice her stomach to eat, her amber eyes took a quick glance at her company. He was taking in his fill quite greedily. Talia found it as a slight turn off; however, she would not let such a quirk ruin this night for her. Tonight would be a special night, even if he was possibly trying to ruin it. Perhaps Talia had already turned him off and this was simply his way of trying to make her feel the same way. Either way, the woman let it go - or at least try to. It would eat at her more than she was eating her own food, and after several bites, Talia tried to change the subject, "Maybe after we eat we can go somewhere warm." She paused before bolding asking, "What do you think of strip poker?" She dared not look at him and her face glowed. Talia just thought it would be good to find his limits before she constructed the rest of this date, even if this conversation made her seem a bit of an easy woman. She wasn't really easy, just currently lonely in the worst way. And darn, she paid for this after all. She would get some good from it, right?

Claude nodded, or at least attempted to while he continued stuffing his face. "Vat founds---" He had begun talking, assuming that she wasn't going to say anything after the warm part and stopped to choke out a bite back into his box. It took a few good coughs before he was able to correctly breathe again, let alone talk. He chose to look over at her, with quite an odd look on his face. "Umm, excuse me, hun. I have got to be wrong. It sounded like you just said strip poker." He wiped his mouth on his sleeve again, and finished off the last bite that he had hacked up. Luckily, it still tasted just as good. But, he thought that he would explain what he would have said, and let her eat. "If you did say that, I would tell you that I'm the worst poker player you'll ever meet. I always laugh when I've got a good hand and I scrunch my face when the cards really suck. But, I do enjoy the stripping part." He finished off with a little smirk and closed his box back up. Maybe this date was a good thing, after all. He glanced back over at her, yeah it was sure looking like it was going to be.

OOC:: I'm sorry it's so craptastic Dx

Talia was completely turned off as the man hacked on his own food. He really was a savage. She turned her head to look away from him, hoping it would help her disgust. It didn't. But when Claude began to speak, Talia felt she had to see his face to know if her question was taken well. Her amber eyes searchig the scene to arrive to look at his. The scientist deemed he accepted the question, perhaps even welcoming it. Seeing that her company was packing up his food, Talia followed suite and placed her box into the larger wooden box she had. Talia didn't even care to ask if he minded, she simply took his meal box and shoved it into the picnic box. Rising, Talia turned to him with a warm smile and offered her hand, "Somewhere warm then. Unless you like a chill against your bare skin." She moved closer to him for a moment, "Although, I'm sure I'll be able to keep you warm anywhere we go." Talia gave him a wink and waited for him to rise with her.

Talia was growing weary of waiting. Instead, she took his hand and tugged a bit, waiting for him to follow. "C'mon. My place. It's just at the inn." Her face was glowing with a smile. She was being very much forward, and very much herself.
