As the last splicer fell Jack looked back and motioned for the Little Sister he had 'adopted' to follow him. She had been hiding behind one of the pillars as he had been 'dealing' with the splicers. He smiled as she approached him and began walking again. They had been walking through Fort Frolic when they had been attacked but a couple of splicers were no match for Jack and his shotgun. As they walked Jack quickly reloaded his shotgun in case of another Splicer attack. Though they weren't that difficult to kill, they normally attacked in numbers making it harder to fight. ((WEH I DUNNO HOW TO START THINGS PROPERLYYYYYY HAHAHAHAA))

There was a faint crackling over Jack's shortwave radio, signalling somone was about to speak over the device. Soon, a familiar Irish voice sounded - it was Atlas, revolutionary and representative of the rebel forces within Rapture. He had been an almost constant presence during Jack's time in the underwater former-utopia. While an undeniably useful source of both a friendly voice and information about the city that would aid in saving the visitor's life, sometimes his opinions didn't necessarily match Jack's. "You alright boyo? Those splicers are really attracted to your little one; I still don't know how ya managed to swing that little sister's affection, but I'm not one to question it. But, would ya kindly hurry it up a bit? Security's goin' off all over the place and I'm reckonin' ya don't wanna be around when all those splicers show up. Oh and watch out for big daddies without their own little sister, no tellin' how they'll react to yours, unless ya want to fight them o'course."

Callie squirmed behind a cold pillar, watching as her guardian protected her, picking off the splicers. She knew what they were after; ADAM. They didn't realise she had already been saved. A small squeak passed the young girl's lips as she sought out the hand of the adult male, wrapping her little fingers around tightly. "Jack..." she began, her golden eyes looking at the floor. She spoke with a fluid, almost haunting voice which sounded without a source. Her lips barely moved and her expression never wavered.
It could be said she was unusual for a little sister. She was pale blonde, with eyes so brilliantly golden they almost glowed. She was more intelligent, more mature than the others for the most part, but she was very much more timid and wary, maybe this was because of her high understanding of things. "Jack. Who is that talking to you?" she asked, her free hand prodding the radio with light curiosity.

Jack unclipped the radio from his belt as Atlas' voice drifted out of his radio. He considered Atlas a good man, someone to look up to, as the Irishman had saved him many a time with his advice and goodies, which he had managed to send via pneumo. As he listened he glanced down at Callie as she clutched at his hand. He gently squeezed her's, giving her a reassuring smile. When Atlas had finished speaking Jack cleared his throat. It felt sore still, from where he had swallowed too much sea water. "Thanks for the heads up, I'll try and keep out of the way of them then." Jack was just about to clip the radio back onto his belt when Callie asked who he was talking to. He studied the radio for a moment before putting it on his belt. "His name's Atlas." He stopped for a moment as he switched his shotgun for his trusty pistol, after realising he was getting low on 00 bucks. He motioned for Callie to follow as he started walking again. "He's the guy I said I was trying to find." ((JUST PRETEND THE RADIO IS ONE OF THOSE COOL LITTLE BELT CLIPPY ONES C: ))

Atlas could hear the conversation between the two; he was still slightly confused with the little sister bond development, even when Tennenbaum's manufactured plasmid was used on them, they didn't normally form bonds with the rescuer (not that there were many around, considering the resident's obsession with Adam. From where the radio had been placed on Jack's belt, Atlas' voice could still be heard; he sounded as though he was all around the other two figures, his voice echoing somewhat. "If everythin' goes well I'll soon be able to shake yer hand. Let's not get complacent though, those damn splicers are still kickin' off security all around ya. You'll want to get to the bathysphere as quick as ya can. I'll be keepin' tabs." There was a slight rustling sound from down the radio, as though the man was moving around before it went silent.

With glitteringly interested eyes, Callie was focused on Jack's lips. Her hearing was fairly poor, probably due to some side effect or another, but after watching Jack's face and hearing snippets, she was slowly getting better as understanding. If however, Jack wasn't look at her, or she wasn't looking at him, she would quite often not hear or misunderstand him. "Where are we meeting him Uncle Jack?" Callie asked, her musical voice ringing out at the same time as a disgruntled yell from a splicer.
Letting out a high pitched squeal, Callie let go of Jack's hand and clung to his thigh. Where they were, there were no pillars to hide behind as a leadhead emerged from the shadows, mumbling about needing 'the girl'. A bullet ricocheted off of the tiled floor, hitting a dark brown stain and chipping the tile."Jack!" Callie squeaked, squeezing her eyes shut.

Quick as a flash, Jack snapped his fingers at the attacker, lighting the leadhead splicer on fire. A small grin graced his lips as he watched the man burn. Using plasmids never got old, especially incinerate. He guessed that maybe this is how the splicers felt about their superhuman powers seeing how quickly they got addicted to ADAM. Tearing his gaze away from the splicer, Jack looked down at Callie. "That's him dealt with. We should get going." They needed to hurry up. Atlas was waiting for them. When Callie had recovered they continued moving, the Rapture Metro was just up ahead. Jack remembered Cohen jamming both Atlas' and Ryan's radio signals here, and then the artist had preceded to order him to both kill and photograph his remaining 'disciples'. He frowned slightly at the memory. He half wished to never see nor hear Cohen again, even though he was...interesting...to say the least.

Quite a few minutes passed before there was any more word from Atlas, he'd decided to let the pair carry on their own business for a while - after all, he knew Jack could handle himself, considering all the crap he'd already been through. But after a while, the familiar sound of a flying turret could be heard, the little gadget eventually emerging round the corner. The Irishman's voice sounded soon after, "Just a little gift from me, added a few little modifications, so hopefully it won't die on ya like those pieces of scrap ya normally find." The turret whirled around the pair's heads, making the occasional beeping noise as it did so. Rather than just a simple machine gun, the turret also sported what looked like a little grenade launcher & the metal looked much more toughened than the usual ones.
