The South Blue is an ocean in the One Piece World. South Blue, like its sister seas, comprises almost entirely of ocean, with a few scattered islands and a border with the Red Line.

The revolver Mr. 5 uses for his Breeze Breath Bomb attack is a new model from the South Blue. South Blue is also home to an island famous for its martial arts known as Karate Island.

The rays of the light sun gleamed down on the pure water of the South Blue ocean. The open sea was always silent and had little to no traffic nowadays. Only the natural sound of the water and waves along with seagulls was heard. The islands were of course more populated but when talking about the open, far sea it was often deadly silent. There were only a couple dozen of ships and boats, while a small amount of Navy patrol ships.

At one plain region of the ocean there stood only one small boat. It was a very simple wooden sailboat. The only exception was the seat at the very end of the boat, where a figure sat and didn't move that much. The boat was significantly new, although modified for his seat to pass just on the boat and obviously not sink it.

The boat was also calm and did not move, while the man sitting on it seemed to just stare at the horizon. Well, if someone was to look closely the man was resting. It was Oda Shinji, a veteran pirate of young age. His arms were resting down after a long journey, but his eyes were oddly open. He used a form of meditation to ease down stress and at the same time was protected from any attack; he hadn't slept properly since a few years, since back then when he had escaped the execution.

And after a few good minutes, his body suddenly moved as he positioned himself more properly on the chair. He blinked a few times to wear off the meditation and set back to traveling. He pulled down the rope to the sails and opened them up. The winds soon gave the boat speed as he tried to direct it towards islands, or at least more populated areas for any marine sight.

Mobius' ship had it's sails drawn but was moving fairly fast. This was because Mobius was pushing it along. His ship was built to hold a crew of twenty but so far he was the only one on it. He had decided to head back to the Grandline in search of more Fishmen, or any fishmen, to join him. The only reason he came to South Blue at all was because of a Fishman rumour. Now it was confirmed false he wanted to head back.
