Meris watched Cay from a distance. She had lied to him. He told her that he forgave her, but part of him was upset over the whole thing. He was loyal to her. More than anything he wanted to leave, but he stayed for her and now he finds out that she lied to him. To make it worse he revealed two of his darkest stories, yet she told him a deceitful tale. He wondered if she had lied about anything else, or was willing to lie again. He wanted to trust her, but he found it hard to do so.

Cay didn't understand why Meris was so upset. She wanted to tell him a tale that was entertaining and after his sad tale she just had to tell him one just as sad right? She would have to do something to make up for what she had done. Maybe she could show him her secret spot? The spot that she went to when ever she was stressed and needed a place away from others. If she showed him if wouldn't be just hers anymore. It would be theres.

She glanced at him. If she were to share it with someone it would be him. Quietly she got up and started singing. He would follow her no doubt. Her singing controlled him and made her long after her, she knew this. She left the cave, with Meris closely behind her. Quickly she made her way through to the ground and started walking quicker. Than she found the entrance to her secret spot. It was covered by vines. She pushed them aside and walked in.

Inside the little cave gems of all colors sparkled against the water they laid in. The top of the roof had a little crack in it and light shined in. “Meris this is my secret spot.” she said softly. “I want it to be out spot now. What do you think.”

He wrapped his tail around hers. “It's beautiful Cay. How did you find it?” he asked curiously. He examined it. There were so many gems that he couldn't even count them if he wanted to. It was an amazing spot and he understood why she would keep it a secret. If he could he would keep this place a secret. This would be the perfect spot to come and rest when life is getting to much to handle.

She wasn't sure how to answer his question. He deserved the truth, but she wasn't ready to tell him yet. Despite how beautiful it was, this spot was a place of grief for Cay. She had seen the one she cared most about die here, her blood was soaked into the gems. It was a terrifying thought to her. She could only think of lie after lie. “I found it while I was searching for food. It just found it.” She walked around the little cave. “I loved it so much I decided to keep it as my secret place. Some day our cubs will come here and they will love it just as you love it.”

Meris smiled at her. She was doing her best to make up for what she did. He was proud of her for doing so. “I am sure they will.” He couldn't help but feel she was leaving something out. Her eyes had a soft sadness to them. “This can be our spot.”

Dhavlen had seen the leopardess and cheetah go into the secret cave. His mouth watered when he saw the leopardess. Was she his next victim? He needed a lovely lady to have as his 'mate'. Lee was wonderful, though he would have to be careful not to have cubs again. They just get in the way. He wondered about the cheetah though. That would be a problem. The two of them seemed to be together. Perhaps he could persuade the cheetah to give up and join him. The cheetah was lovely and Dhavlen would enjoy having him as entertainment.

Quietly he snuck behind them and sat at the entrance of the cave, not saying a word. He watched them curiously. Yes they were together romanticly, he thought. He knew it would be work to break them up and as lovely as the two of them were, it wasn't worth the effort. Instead maybe he could try and get them to join his band. Who knows, maybe eventually they would break up and he could get with the leopardess.
He stepped out of the shadows and walked into the cave. “Hello there friends.” he said as friendly as he could. He grinned in a malice way, despite his best efforts. “My name is Dhalven. I saw you enter the cave and I couldn't help but explore.”

Cay looked at Dhavlen in horror. How dare he!? He entered her cave. Hers! Not his! This cave was special to her. He had no right to be here. “Get out now!” She raged at him. She held herself back from striking him. “If you do not get out I will hurt you.” She bore her sharp teeth at him, inching closer to him.

Meris was lost for what was going on. The cheetah named Dhavlen came in and than cay flipped out. He put himself between the two of them, just in case a fight happened. “Come with me.” He spoke to Dhavlen. “Cay stay here and behave.” He headed out of the cave.

Cay couldn't believe that Meris was telling her to behave like a cub. She was an adult she deserved to be treated like one. Despite this she listened to him and stayed put. She wondered what Meris was up to. Hopefully he would teach the mean cheetah a lesson and tell him off for interrupting their lovely time. He would be the hero and she the princess. It would be perfect.

Dhavlen followed the cheetah out obediently, now wanting to cause any trouble. He was already on bad terms with the leopardess, he better not screw it up with the cheetah. “Sorry about that friend. Didn't mean to get your lady upset.” he gave a weak smile, that was not returned.

“This is Cay's secret spot. Only her and I know about it. You should not know about it at all.” He said, towering over Dhavlen. “I want you to leave and go far away. I don't ever want to see you again and I want you to forget this place. If I do see you I swear I will kill you.”

Dhavlen had seen eyes like Meris, the eyes of a killer. For once he felt intimidated. This was not good. “Y-yes sir. I'll hurry an-and leave.” He darted away from the cheetah. As he ran only one thought went through his head, 'I must have that cheetah.'
