As much as Akashi tried, she just couldn’t drag Iryna out to the water. “You don’t know what you’re misssinnngg~~!” she said in a song-like tune. So, while the gray lioness was off gallivanting in the land away from the water, Akashi was doing just the opposite. She’d rather explore the sandy beaches, and find out just exactly what this pride was all about. That was, until, she was told to help out with the cleanup efforts that her and her friend had agreed to the day they had come into the pride.
Upon arriving on the golden shores, the guppy colored female fell into the warm sands, rolling around on her back as if she had an itch to scratch. The truth was, the sand just felt good. It wasn’t too hot, like that you would find in the desert. It was perfect.
Once her rolling had ceased, Akashi rolled over to her belly, raising her maw to the air. That salty sea breeze was something that she could definitely get use to. It was a good choice to come to the ocean pride.

Arimathras should technically have been a lot bigger. In fact, one might even have been so bold as to declare that something had gone very wrong for her to be quite so tiny. While some individuals would have declared that all of this was completely avoidable, the deity would have been inclined to disagree. You see, Arimathras was a deity who's favoured forms left much to be desired in many respects - admittedly she was cute and couldn't be faulted for her simplistic tastes, but the air of sheer power of awe that the majority of her peers went for was lost on her.
Long story short? She had adopted the form of a baby bunny.
Somewhere up there, someone would be facepawing at the ridiculous choice, but there was nothing quite like the delighted squeals of another creature when they saw something so fluffy and adorable. It made her feel of fuzzy inside and thus, she wouldn't be dissuaded from her decision - she would be a baby bunny, or she would be nothing. Granted, it wasn't so much a baby bunny as a dwarf bunny, but there wasn't all that big a difference in size.
Alas, she often forgot that such small prey made for ample practice for cubs or a simple snack for adults and as a consequence, she was in for a bit of a shock this afternoon. Having found her way to the coast, a place she had sighted as having a unique array of colours, she was now hopping along the beach. The sand between her toes was a peculiar sensation, but not one she disliked...and as for the plants, oh now weren't they fascinating?
Positively bubbling with excitement, the small and white bunny was completely oblivious to the presence of Akashi...

Something white flickered across Akashi gaze, causing her ears to perk up. The beach was a perfect place for water-like creatures like crabs, lobsters and even the slimy clams that would wash ashore. Akashi wasn’t the greatest fisher yet, but she knew that the ocean pride’s diet consisted on that too. When the ‘red meat’ had wandered to the sands, Akashi’s stomach instantly growled. It wasn’t every day on the beach where you would see something that appeared so delicious!
Keeping low to the ground, the bluish lioness stalked up to her prey. It was a tiny creature really, and probably would do little to satiate who hunger, but it was a meal nonetheless. Or, more so it was a treat. She’d try to bum off something bigger from Iryna later.
Her nose twitched, eyes locking right on the bunny. “Here bunny bunny bunny.” Her voice was just a whisper. She did not want to frighten, chasing something so small could prove futile. They were able to dart in all sorts of directions, while the lioness could only go certain ways within a few moments time. She shimmied in the sand, finding it hard to get a get a good footing in the sifting grains. It took a moment, but she pounced after the bunny.

It was like a bad scene from a horror movie, you knew it was coming and yet, no matter how much you shrieked out in warning, there was nothing you could do. Arimathras was completely oblivious to the approach of the lioness and as such, it only dawned on her that something was amiss whenever the sky darkened above her and the colour 'disappeared' from the plants. Startled, the tiny bunny swung round to see what had devoured the sun and her eyes widened considerably when she saw something very big heading towards her.
Oh dear, only descended for a short amount of time and she was going to die - it was a tragedy, there would be all sorts of tales sang about her in the future at this rate...and she hadn't even done anything she'd sworn she would do. She had almost resigned herself to her fate, a very melodramatic moment indeed and then it dawned on her that technically speaking, she could probably get out of this.
Reawakened to her own identity, the bunny gave a terrified squeal and curled up into a small ball, a protective measure against the weight that was probably going to land on her. Alas, unfortunately for Akashi, while it would look as though she had managed to capture the little creature, when she checked her paws she would discover that nothing was there!

Akashi smirked, her paws clasped into a ball. SUCCESS. A small meal would indeed ensure! Opening up her paws to look at her prize, Akashi’s eyes widened. What…what was this? The bunny hadn’t run, and she was sure she had gotten it! Where did it go. Lifting off the ground, her paws staying under her, she stared wildly around. Where had that little bunny gone? It wasn’t like it was a super fast creature that was gone in a blink of an eye. It was just a…bunny.
Or so she thought. Pawing at the earth, Akashi thought that maybe the rabbit had merely just dug under her paws to escape. It would be logical, but there was no sign of disturbed sand for that to be plausible. Still she dug, and yet she found nothing.
Her eyes narrowed. Well…there went her meal. The bunny couldn’t just up and disappear though. Perhaps it really just outsmarted her. Rabbit one, Lioness zero. Guess she would have to settle for a crab or something instead.

Well, the bunny hadn't really gone anywhere, but it had somehow managed to deposite itself a little off to the side and the white cotton tail protruding from the bush was a bit of a giveaway to its location. However, with the lioness confused, Arimathras was able to poke her little head out from her hiding place to observe her... So this was what a lion looked like, all things considered they weren't all that different from her when she felt so inclined as to walk around in her birthed form.
"I don't want to die," she declared in a high pitched voice, pointing a tiny paw out of the bushes towards Akashi. "You shouldn't try and eat me, I'm not very edible," she declared with an emphatic nod. All things considered, Arimathras rather resembled a cross between a bunny and a very leafy sheep at this moment in time - not the most dignified of appearances for an individual of her 'stature', but she'd never been one for pomp and circumstance, the concept was lost on her a little.
"But if you're hungry I do have something edible - " the bunny continued and took a breath. "It's not another bunny though, that would be mean," Arimathras murmured and shook her head. "Do you like fruit? I have lots of fruit," she concluded and tilted her head to the side. Suffice to say, the deity still kept her distance for fear of being pounced on again, but she didn't seem immediately inclined to run. That being said, she probably would run if Akashi decided she wanted rabbit soup!

Akashi ears flickered at the sound of a small voice. So, she hadn’t disappeared, but rather gone to the bush. Maybe the bunny was as quick as she had thought… “You’re a rabbit though. You are edible,” she eyed the creature, still licking her lips. It was her intention to pounce on the small prey again, but..now it looked stranger than usual.
“And why should I listen to lunch? Why was she listening to lunch? Was she really not that hungry, where she didn’t have to get her meal so quickly. Maybe she just felt sort for the rabbit. Usually she was a good huntress, she’d kill the prey before it had time to speak back to her. “Lions don’t eat fruit…it’s not a good diet for them. And you’re like this big” she motioned with her paws the size of the bunny. “How can you have lots of fruit?”

"I am not edible," Arimathras retorted and shook her head, her tiny nose scrunching up into a look of discontent. Her ears flattened against her head and she stared at Akashi for what seemed like an age. It was more likely to be a few seconds at most, but these things had a way of dragging out when push came to shove. "I taste awful, I'm all stringy and whatnot," she continued before releasing a small sigh. Flopping herself down, the bunny took a seat inside the bush and pursed his lips, taking note of what the lioness said in the meantime.
...So lions didn't eat fruit because it was bad for them?
She did and it never hurt her at all.
How weird!
"You could technically still drink some fruits," Ari remarked at last and gave a wiggle. There was a small 'pop' beside her and then a muffled 'thunk' of tiny paws on something solid. A moment later and the bunny seemed to give a massive heave, pushing what looked like a coconut, out onto the sands between herself and the lioness. "Like this, you can eat the nummy stuff inside or just drink the sweet water, yup yup!"

“I don’t find them stringy…” she frowned, still eyeing the bunny. She lay on the sand, so she could get a good look at the rabbit. If it stayed in that bush, she’d never be able to get it.
The small pop, and thunk caused a series of twitches in the lioness’ ears. They perked forward as the hairy fruit seemed to appear out of nowhere. As the rabbit pushed it forward, Akashi reached to grab for the fruit. It wasn’t her intentions on eating it, more so she was just surprised where it had come from. Taking the coconut in her paws, she stared at it with wide eyes, not hearing the words the bunny had said. After a moment, she turned towards the white ball of fluff, still staring it down.
“…How did you do that?” It was like she was a magic bunny or something!

"Well I'm stringy," Arimathras remarked with a sage nod, still determined to remain protected by her bush. She regarded the lioness, who was intent on staring her into the ground and promptly pursed her lips. Her nose gave a quiver and her ears gave a slight twitch, but a gentle reminder from her own inner muse gave her the courage she needed - a mortal couldn't kill her...just so long as she didn't allow said mortal to crush her. Instincts would always save her in the end and even if she felt a little spooked, everything would be okay.
Of course, the deity did tend to forget a few things now and again, one of which was the fact that normal animals didn't simply spawn fruit. Plants did that, animals sprouted eggs or little mini-mes, at least this was what she'd observed even if she'd never had the opportunity to experience it herself.
"O-oh..." it seemed this point had finally dawned on her and it was after a considerable pause and a small sigh that the petite bunny scrambled out from her hiding place and sat back on her hindlegs. She made no attempts to approach the lioness any further, but at the very least, she seemed to be prepared to answer the question. "It's a party trick," she said finally and shook her head, ears flapping lightly against her cheeks. "I can do other things too, mmm...but all the party tricks make me taste like fruit so you still can't eat me," she pointed out with a nervous giggle.
"Seriously, please don't eat me," she finished with a straight face and some might have argued, unnaturally wide eyes.

“…I won’t eat you… I can’t eat you now that I know that you are some kind of magic bunny.” Akashi still remained eye level with the bunny, the eyes no longer keeping a lust for a meal, but more so an intrigue of the other.
In the distance, Akashi could hear Iryna calling for her. “Look, magical rabbit. I want you to show my friend some of your tricks sometime. If I promise I won’t eat you, and she won’t eat you, could you come around again?” Her eyes were hopefully as her ears pinned back, listening to the sounds of her friend calling her.

So the lioness wasn't going to try and eat her anymore? The 'rabbit' tilted her head to the side, assessing the Akashi's expression for a short while before concluding that she was speaking the truth. From what Arimathras could gather, the lioness had no intention on swallowing her whole anymore - well, now that it was apparent that she was a 'special' bunny. A small part of her wondered whether it was plausible to save the life of other bunnies by teaching them basic tricks... but what constituted a good enough trick?
Well, it was something to ponder over at least.
However the lioness was speaking once again and the rabbit was surprised to hear of the invitation that Akashi provided her with. The opportunity to stay and explore for a little longer was quite a nice one, especially when she was inspecting the various fruits and plantlife that lurked in the area!
"I can come around again," Ari replied with a small nod, her ears clapping against the top of her head. Still, a smile lined her lips to indicate that she was genuine in her intentions. "But your friend is calling you, yes?" she waved a little paw off in the direction of the sound of the voice. "Mmm, someone told me it was rude to ignore that once - you should go see, yep yep!"

Akashi nodded, listening to the bunny as she didn’t hesitate to stay around. However, she turned around after a moment, her gaze focusing on the little white fluff ball. “What’s your name? I’m Akashi.” She had waited for the rabbit to squeak out her name, before giving another nod, and trotting away.
It had certainly been a rather eventful day. The hunger that panged her stomach before was now nonexistent. She was too keen on the magic bunny, and the other tricks she had to offer. By the time she had met up with her gray friend, (“Come on, Akashi. A magic rabbit?”) she had been told that she needed to stay out of the sun some more, and not to drink as much salt water. Sometimes she thought that the bunny was just a figment of her imagination, but it had said she’d come around again, so one day Aki hoped to prove that it was not something make believe.
