Ai sometimes wondered if the human’s mentality to check things they do was something they lacked. How else could she manage to sneak out of her stall two nights in a row? Another night out. she thought to herself. Hopefully this one would be less ‘exciting’ then the previous one. Ferals entering the settlement made Ai uneasy, and if she wasn’t injured, she would try to keep them away using her battling skills. Lucky for the ferals, Ai would think to herself.
Trudging down the normal path, the striped female would watch the moon from the open clearing. Something about it mesmerized her. The fact that something appeared so large one day, and then was small the next…it was strange. Ai liked it though.

 She didn't know why she came back, there was no reason for it, not right now. She didn't have what she needed to get back at him, not yet. If only Cellen knew, knew everything, then perhaps he would have returned with her to find him, and deal a blow or two. Preferably, to the hand he had raised to her on many occasions.
Keeping to the shadows she looked about the alleys, the streets, for anything of use or value for beyond the gate.
Perhaps she could snag some pet's nicely prepared meal.
Or steal away some fighter's collar for the metal, surely something like that might come in handy for something.
As Reisx stalked through the shadows, silver eyes alert, she let her paws feel the cobblestone walks beneath her, ears listening.

Did she just see that? It was only flicker in the shadows, but last time she had seen that it was a feral mokai wandering into the settlement. Again, who it be the same female Ai had met the previous night. Golden eyes stared into the dark shadows, narrowing. Hopefully it was just a rat or something.
But, Ai being Ai, just had to investigate. Luckily, her wounds were almost healed. If any kind of scuffle happened, she’d be prepared for it this time. She would not let another see her weakness.
Spotting the one she could only assume she saw before, she followed her on the cobblestone path. No collar…of course. It was another feral indeed. Ai resisted a snarl; she would make her presence known soon enough.

Reisx didn't feel alone.
LIfting her head to catch a whiff of the air she noted whoever might be around was downwind, they were lucky, for now. reisx watched the ground as she moved, looked to teh shadowed areas around her to make sure none other glowing eyes might be ready for an attack. She didn't see or smell anything that caught her eye to take yet, but someone was near, she could feel it and it made the fur on her back stand on end.
The building she was walking in shadow of was coming to an end, the corner quickly coming round, as she crept to the left, turning the corner, she tried to catch a glimpse of whomever was there but only caught some formation.
Whether it was a Mokai, crouched human or trashbag, she was unsure.
She she stopped on the other side of the wall, but kept lifting and dropping her paws and then continued to do so slowly to have the echo of her walking away waft through the air.
But she turned, letting her feet move slower, waiting for whomever was close to turn round that corner too.

Ai continued to walk, picking up her pace as she heard the sounds of the other creature walking away. It wasn’t a human, for their shoes had a more distinct clatter against the ground. Her eyes narrowed as she was almost at a trot, her collar making a small clinging noise as the buckle clang against her back.
One of these nights she just needed to stay in her stall like a good pet, sleep on the fluffy shavings, and have wonderful dreams. Not following the shadows of the unknown.
Turning the corner, Ai was rather surprise to come face to face with another mokai. One that appeared rather ferocious, with the slightly curving horns, and the wild mane on her head. She somewhat reminded the striped female of Cellen, just more rugged looking. And of course, there was no collar.
“What are you doing here?” Her lip raised, backing away just slightly, while keeping her offensive position.

Reisx looked the small female up and down. Collar, small, but she had strength. Fighter? There seemed to be a lot of them around now. She let her tail curl and uncurl behind her as silver eyes scanned the gray female for any sign of hesitation, body posture or call to another nearby that could be used as backup.
"Looking for food, objects of use to bring back with me."
What more did she need to explain?
She quirked a brow, watching the female.
Surely she shouldn't be out at night alone. Cellen was walking alone the night she came to get him, but this female, was she trying to escape to?
"Why are you out?"
Simple statements, quick answers, that would surely work.

“Don’t you have food out there you can go for? No need to steal ours.” She never took her eyes off the feral.
“While it’s none of your business why I am out, if you must know, my stall was left open. Not that you would know what that…” her nose lifted to the air. There was a familiar scent on this female…something that…it couldn’t be… “You’re the reason Cellen left the compound.” It was a quick statement, with a ‘give-me-no-bullshit-answers’ kind of tone.
“I can smell him on you…or…smell something like him.” She could have been wrong about the scent, but how many ferals roamed the island? It had been a little bit since she had last seen the male, but he had mentioned that he had left for love. Was this his lover?

"We do, but I want to see if there was anything quick, or any object of use," Reisx said, eyes narrowing. "I was going through what had been discarded or left out, that is fair game." She shifted her weight, but kept her stance strong, her paws steady under her.
"Of course I know what those are I used to -" but when the female stopped, and then spoke of Cellen, Reisx held her tongue.
How did this female know him?
If she was a fighter...did she face him?
Reisx simply nodded, eyes staying on the female. "I am, yes, I came back for him. It is only right after what happened." Looking at the female with a strong intent, but no intent to harm, Reusx needed to know, "How did you know him?"

“So…you use to belong here too, huh?” She never lowered her stance, but she did relax just slightly.
“And what happened? You do realize those who leave here will never stop being hunted by humans. Why run wild when you have that constant threat on your back.” Another reason Ai liked staying right where she was. Food, Fun Fights, and not having to worry about being chased the rest of your life. Life in the compound was good for the young fighter. For now, at least.
“I battled him.” Ai stated simply, but looked towards the ground, just for a split second. “He taught me things. And then he left. He left because of you.” Whether that was the true reason or not, Ai didn’t know. That is just what she assumed.

"I used to be imprisoned here, but I never belonged here," Reisx said. This female seemed so genuinely in love with her life here. Did everyone here, every fighter get a good owner besides her? Was she the only one to have been paired up with that man?
"What happened was I was brought here and imprisoned by a cruel man. I don't care if I will be hunted, I would rather be hunted than beaten by his fists or chains. I was kept in a cage that was too small for my body, I couldn't even stretch out my legs," Reisx said with a huff. "He would starve me, and prod at me, that was his training. He would also "train" me a little too hard so he could bet against me in fights. I hated him, hated my live here. Cellen saved me."
She remembered the first night she heard his voice howling form the wilderness, and remembered the first night she finally returned the call and then he had come.
"If you battled him, you must have a strong spirit, don'y lose it or let it falter. Cellen is a god teacher and knows a lot from his life before the walls closed in. It was my fault he was caught, and I came back for him after I healed. We are part of each other."
They were part of one another, and destined to be together under un-hindered stars.

Ai couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her masters were never like that. Sure, J.B. could be a terrible at time, but never had he pushed her to the point where she had to live like Reisx was describing. She shook her head, not wanting to hear anymore.
So that was the reason he left. And this female had a fair enough reason to go as well. Ai still couldn’t believe the words that the female spoke. If she was paired up with someone like that…she’d probably attack them, before running off.
“Well then, I must thank you for getting him captured, or else I would never have met him.” The striped female was glad that she had crossed paths with the male turned feral. If she hadn’t, who knew what kind of reckless thoughts would weave in and out of her mind at all hours of the day.
“Then I am glad he found what he was looking for…” her ears perked, the sounds of a human strolling on down the streets. “You’d better go,” she whispered. Turn her gaze towards the end of the shadow.
“When you see Cellen again…tell him Ai says thank you.”

When Reisx went to speak back at the female's almost so strange comment, she couldn't bring herself to. It seemed that this young one and Cellen shared a friendship through their fight, his teachings to her, and for that, she let a soft smile spread on her maw. Perhaps domestics here, not all, were so troublesome. Perhaps some could still hold friendships and bonds with those that wished to go beyond the fences and gates so that they could be free once more.
Reisx's ears flicked as the female spoke a warning, and she indeed heard the familiar patterns of footsteps on the ground, she immediately crouched down, taking a step further into the shadows and looked to where the hole in the fence was, where she had been heading all this time.
"I will," Reisx said with a nod, "Reisx," she said quickly, before turning and starting towards the fence, "and, thanks,"
She smiled towards Ai, and then darted for the fence, not looking back she didn't dare she if the human had turned the corner, seen her or started coming after her. As she broke for the fence and made her way through the opening, Reisx soon felt grass underpaw and felt safe. But she kept running, to needed to tell Cellen Ai said thank you, and she seemed to be doing well.
