The streets were so quiet. It almost reminded Alunite of a time where Destiny City had been a much different place.
Almost. He did find himself wishing it could last, but he doubted it would.
The skyscraper was one of the highest in the areas, and the lights seemed so small and insignificant from up there. Cars zig-zagged across the maze of streets and concrete, in a strange pattern he seemed intrigued by.
He'd taken to doing this - perching in an area where he'd felt multiple lieutenants and watch. Wait. Let his aura carry far and wide. A warning that any senshi who entered this part of town was watched. Or so he liked to think. He did bring back some energy every night, but it simply couldn't compare to what an agent could bring.
So he found other ways to be useful. If the less-powerful members could do their jobs relatively uninterrupted, then the overall output would go up. Theoretically.
Then, something completely different entered his 'range', and he turned his head to look in that direction, even through he was way too high up to see. It was something new and odd, and it took a moment for him to recognizy the 'type' of aura as the one he'd felt coming out of Ares in droves - this one was fainter, in comparison.
Dark Mirror, uh...
Alunite was gone with a blink, and teleported on the ground level, closer to the aura he was feeling. Really, he was pretty neutral on the whole alliance - he could see the mutual benefits and hadn't lived through the terror the Blood Moon Court had brought on the negaverse.
Mostly, he was just curious - and now that he was closer, he started to look for the dark mirror senshi by foot.

Sailor Leto had a civilian woman cornered against a wall as a shard of mirror passed between her fingers of her right hand. She leaned in close to the woman's ear and grinned, her warm breath grazing her ear and neck. "Don't worry," she breathed into her ear. "This won't hurt... And I don't intend to kill you..." Her voice trailed off as she took a step back and smashed her mirror shard onto the ground.
Instantly, her mirror wraith swirled out of the shards and dove for the screaming woman. And that's when she felt it. A powerful, pulsing energy that was making its way towards her. Even though she had known Ares had formed some sort of alliance with the Negaverse, that sort of power coming up behind her always put her on edge. It was like something she had never felt before though.. Definitely not a White Moon Senshi or a Negaverse agent. She shrugged quickly and set her focus back on the civilian woman and her mirror wraith, watching protectively as it drained energy.
She rubbed her right eye as she yawned quietly, not realizing how exhausting the last few weeks had been in transporting Negaverse agents through mirrors. It wasn't so bad when it was just her... But taking someone else through? Patrolling and draining energy was much less straining on her body than mirror-walking any day of the week.

"Interesting..."
Alunite definitively wasn't a white moon senshi, or a negaverse agent proper, and he also wasn't anything like Leto. It was the holes on his chest and forehead and the unbelievably long hair, as well as the bat wings, that made it clear what it was.
Negaverse senshi. A Chaos-follower without a doubt, but in a much different way.
"So you guys need energy, too ?" His tone was light, curious. "That... actually looks pretty efficient..." Where those things like youma ?

Leto jumped and her heart felt like it got caught in her throat when the other person came up behind her and spoke.
"Holy s**t, didn't anyone ever teach you not to sneak up on a lady in a dark alley?" She turned sharply on her heel, her eyes meeting his.
Immediately her gaze trailed downwards and then back up, taking him in entirely. Her head cocked to the side, an eyebrow quirking as she stared at him. Behind her, the civilian dropped to the ground with a thud and her mirror wraith slid back inside the reformed mirror shard that had been smashed. She bent down to pick the shard up and put it carefully back in the small sac she carried them in, tucking the sac into her left bracer for safe keeping.
The power she could feel from him made her shudder, goosebumps raising on her skin. It was obvious to Leto that his aura had a Chaotic feeling to it, but he was most definitely not a Negaverse Agent. He almost looked... Like a Senshi?
Her eyes narrowed as she peered at first the hole in his head then the one in his chest. And then it struck her, this must be what a Corrupt Senshi feels like.
She took a few steps towards him. "We gather it for the Princess," she said regarding the need to collect energy. "It's not too bad, but it takes a lot to make a new one if it gets destroyed."

"My apologies, then." He waited, patiently, for Leto to try and sort out just what the hell he was. A common reaction, really, through mostly a white moon one. The negaverse seemed more informed of what was going on within it's ranks in general.
The dark mirror, well, they were new. Through it seemed like the notion that there had been chaos senshi before their existence had not seemed to escape Leto, because she seemed to relax soon enough. He let her take the first steps, visibly not giving a flying ******** about the passed out civilian behind them.
Definitively not white moon.
"The most useful things tend to be the hardest to replace." An idle comment, really. "Through I admit it looks convinent, more than my own limited grasp at energy gathering, at least. Ah, but I am being rude again, aren't I ?" He said, amused. Perhaps trying to lighten the mood a bit. "I am Alunite, eternal senshi of the eclipse. And you would be ?"

She couldn't help but chuckle at him mentioning he was being rude a second time. "Sailor Leto, Super Senshi of Camoflage. Which...." she looked down at her fuku with the camoflage print over the sheer fabric and on her skirt. "I guess is probably kind of obvious now that I think about it." She grinned at him.
"I've never met a Corrupt before. Even as a White Mooner, actually. I didn't know you guys collected energy too. I mean, I know the Negaverse Agents do, didn't know their Senshi did. Do you guys teleport, too?"
What had started off as a rude interruption of her attack on the civilian slumped over behind her quickly turned into a Q&A session between two Chaos Senshi that had never met one of the others' kind. At least he wasn't a White Moon Senshi on a mission to ruin her night.

"Ah, but the fuku doesn't make the soldier. Not always, anyway." Really, through both of their's was rather telling of the powers the individuals wearing them wield, through Alunite might have been easily confused with something more related to stars directly.
Ironic, in a way - a senshi bound and chained to earth, covered in stars.
"Well, we don't have to." That was the truth. He didn't have a quota, but he did often go harvesting - liking to bring at least some energy with him whenever he went to subspace.
It was pretty much habit at this point.
"We do teleport... But I figured teleporting straight on you would be even more rude than walking, yes ?" Yes, he seemed still amused. The whole thing seemed much less tense than he'd expected it to be, really.

Leto couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re right, teleporting probably would’ve pissed me off.” She flashed the male Senshi a playful grin.
She quickly glanced back at the civilian slumped on the floor behind her. “That’s still new to me. The idea of it still freaks me out a bit. Moving through mirrors is badass, but draining people not so much. Maybe it’s just something I gotta get used to, I dunno.” She shrugged her shoulders slightly.
“Then again all of it freaks me out. I have no idea who the hell to trust. Half of you Negas probably still want my head on a silver platter regardless of me switching teams. I lost my entire life. And now I’m standing in an alley with some broad passed out behind me talking to a Senshi with holes in his head and chest that may secretly want to kill me.” She laughed nervously.
How the hell had her life gotten so ******** up?

"You get used to it in time, really. It's always hard when you start doing it. But you feel it, don't you ? That this is exactly what you should be doing. Sometimes the right path isn't the easy one." He got the feeling that, in spite of being a super senshi, Leto hadn't been doing this particular gig for very long. A conversion, perhaps ? She certainly spoke in a way that make him think of it, though it seemed like they converted very, very differently.
A part of him couldn't help but feel it was unfair. Unfair for Lyra, unfair for Alkaid... Who had lost all they where to become what they now were. He would have lost it all, too, if he hadn't gotten so lucky. But that certainly wasn't Leto's personal fault, so he kept those thought to himself. It looked like the girl lost much to be where she stood now, and he couldn't argue that.
Even if it didn't look like it... While both senshi, they were both members of two different sides in a rather unstable alliance. He had to act carefully. Her next words all but proved that.
He couldn't help but look down at the hole in his chest when she mentioned them. "You know... I never remember they're here most of the time now." Really. They'd hurt like bloody agony when they first opened, but not anymore. They just flashed back into being whenever he powered up and that was that. "But really... Personally ?" He shrugged. "I wasn't there for all that. I was shown the battle site, but... I wasn't even awakened when all that went down. Im not one to hold to a grudge that doesn't even involves me to begin with, so no, I have zero intention of killing you."
"Beside." He grinned, tone light-hearted. "I like brunettes too much to hurt a cute one. Personal weakness, you know ?" He was hoping the light-heartedness would make her feel better. And well, some of the negaverse only barely tolerated him to begin with... But she didn't need to know that.
"You learn, with time, who is receptive and who isn't. You learn to steer clear of those who don't, and ally with those who do." Blunt, but the truth.
"It's actually..." He paused for a moment. "...Kind of nice. That you're here. It... got lonely, sometime... There arn't a whole lot of senshi like me. There arn't many senshi who understand.."

It was almost comforting to know that it might get easier in time, and maybe he was right. Maybe she’d adjust and this would all just be like second nature to her. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she moved closer to him, her eyes on the gaping hole in his chest. She had this ridiculous urge to poke at it and see what happened, but she respected the fact that while he may forget it was there sometimes he probably didn’t want some girl poking and prodding at him. But that definitely wouldn’t stop her from leaning in close to look at it.
“Huh…” she said quietly as she examined his holes- first bending to check out the one on his chest, then standing up straight and looking up to peer at the one in his forehead. Apparently at some point she had forgotten all about personal space.
“Well then, I’m glad to know you don’t wanna kill me!” She smiled at him and took a step back when she realized she was literally all up in his face. And then he called her cute and her cheeks instantly flushed a deep shade of red and she was staring at the ground to avoid eye-contact. She could throw a punch and talk a lot of s**t, but someone calling her cute suddenly got her all flustered. She cleared her throat in her attempt to shake away that silly girly feeling and get back to srs Senshi bsns, turning back on the charm and humor.
“It’s all natural too,” she said as she floofed her ponytail with her right hand and winked at him.
“And hey… If my presence makes someone I just met feel less lonely then I must be pretty ******** awesome.” Her large, lopsided, typical Leto grin plastered itself across her face again.

...Well, okay, that wasn't the usual reaction. Most people - even negaverse agents - preferred to pretend the holes didn't exist - for a split moment, he was worried - could they go for starseeds ? But... Well, he had to trust his gut instinct.
The hole on his forehead was simply inky black. The one on his chest, well... Was where his starseed was. The very same purple as his hair, trough a deep, shimmering black at the edges.
It was about as pretty as it was creepy, really, and no, he wasn't pulling it out just to prove he could. It was an habit of his that had died out pretty early on.
"Not me, through." He laughed. "My hair's not really... like that. 5 foot long, I mean. Imagine how damn annoying it would be if it was ?"
Well, embarassed blushing and grins was an improvement. Truth of the matter was, Alunite wouldn't have known what the ******** to do if she'd broken down crying or something.
This was a much better outcome.

She blinked a few times and stared at him with the most confused look on her face imaginable.
“… What on earth do you mean it’s not usually like that?” She circled so she was standing behind him and gave him a good ol’ tug on his ponytail. “Looks real to me. I don’t get it.”
While she was behind him she tried to see if she could see his back and if the gaping hole went all the way through to the other side, but no dice. She figured it would probably be a liiiiittle bit more than inappropriate if she asked him to start taking his clothes off so she could look for holes on him. She moved so she was standing in front of him again- Man that starseed was shiny. She still had that urge to poke at his chest, but she figured tugging on his hair was good enough for now. Poking could wait; they’d just met after-all!
“This corrupt Senshi s**t is bizarre,” she said matter-of-factly. The only physical difference she had from when she was a White Moon Senshi was that her eyes changed color.

"It grows." No, really. She tugged, and he rose an eyebrow, but she'd have to tug much harder to hurt him, really. "Whenever I power up. I don't know why, it just happens. Happens to everyone of us... Some of the girls are downright ridiculous."
Alkaid's dreadlocks came to mind. Holy jesus christ that had to be heavy as all hell.
Alunite was kind of used to strange looks, but he certainly wasn't used to people going poking all over the place. And really, these were the only two holes on his person... Thankfully.
Two was plenty.
"Well, it's a force of a planet... Being overtaken by a force of Earth." That was how he saw it, anyway. "It's... pretty obvious you guys are different, through I couldn't tell you how."
Mirror-walking kind of sounded cool, but teleporting seemed more efficient. To him at least.

“So it just magically grows to the ground? That’s crazy.” She immediately thought of Lyra, her former Blood Moon Court teammate with ridiculously long hair, and suddenly wondered how the other girl was doing. Maybe Ares would have her get in touch with the rest of the Dark Mirrors at some point.
Speaking of planets. “Can… You guys still go to space? To your home planet? We can’t. I’ve gone to Leto in the past but the memories are gone and I can’t go back, so that kinda sucks. We lose that part of ourselves when we turn into a Parallel. But whatevs, mirror-walking is one hundred percent better than some dead, deserted planet.”
Speaking of mirror-walking. “Now that I’ve poked you and pulled your hair and you’ve told me I make you not lonely anymore and that you think I’m cute, we’re bff’s so I should take you mirror-walking some time. It’s really ******** cool.”
Apparently henshing didn’t make you stop babbling. It was particularly ridiculous due to her English accent and how fast she tends to speak when she starts ranting like that. Whoops!

"That's kinda crazy, yeah." Through he might say the same of the change in eye color, if he knew of it.
He liked his eye color, really. Knowing his luck, he'd have ended up with bubblegum pink or something.
"We can't, no." He shook his head in the negative. "Never have been able to. Honestly, I don't think im missing much. My family is here... Everyone I care about is here."
Not knowing who he was seemed like a small sacrifice, as long as he was able to stay with and protect his loved ones.
"Aha, maybe ?" Okay, her accent was adorable. "Teleporting is pretty fun, too."
