Well now wasn't this convenient he thought to himself as he looked over the flyer that had come to him along with the mail, it seemed rather interesting with all sorts of information that would be useful to the whole child raising thing. Above all of that though there was an address for a doctor. It were as though Fate were telling him where it was that he had to bring Snowe to get the boy checked over!
"Hey, Snowe! Look! We are going to go to see 'Dr. Shawn Riverstone'!" He said in an excited voice, holding the newsletter up for Snowe to see. He then turned it around to look it over, "A doctor, huh? Wonder if he's cute... or if hes one of those old men with white hair and thick glasses... guess we will see soon enough." Clover hopped up to his feet, folding the newsletter a few times so he could tuck it into his pocket, scooped up Snowe, and headed off to where the stroller was waiting for them. Once the boy was sitting in it and buckled in so he wouldn't attempt to escape he moved to fetch one of the many seal plushies that were laying around the house, picking one that had the least patchwork done, and handed it over to his son, "Alright, lets get going."
Soon enough they were heading out of their rather pricy high rise apartment, all paid for by the Knox twins, and were on their way to the Doctor's office. If they couldn't get squeezed in today he would see about getting something set up for Snowe in the near future. Best to make sure that he was at his best for trick or treating after all! It was a bit of a walk, not that Clover minded, he walked everywhere due to a lack of a drivers license, and was soon enough arriving at the clinic. Tilting his head he took out the newsletter to compare addresses, just in case, and then headed inside. While it had sure looked right he had learned the hard way that it was best to double check instead of going with what looked to be the right place.

Dr. Riverstone happened to be out in the lobby talking to one of the receptionists. He noticed the two coming in, and glanced across at them, before he turned around and smiled.
"Welcome! My name is Dr. Shawn Riverstone." He paused, and chuckled. "You have got a polar bear. You must be from Zetetic. Darcy send you, or did you come because of the newsletter?"
Shawn was not OLD at all. As a matter of fact, he was healthy, young, and very, very handsome. Strawberry blonde hair, long, and tied up into a ponytail. His white labcoat sat snugly against a lithe body which his scrubs complemented perfectly.
"Are you here for a checkup?"
His voice was pretty okay as well.

This was the Doctor? Well now, he wasn't an old man at all he thought to himself in a delighted manner before glancing down at Snowe, "Ahh! Yes!" He said in agreement, giving a smile, "Ahh... I mean, yes to both that I have a polar bear and that I am from Zetetic. It wasn't Darcy though, it was this." He held up the newsletter that had come in the mail for him today and gave a bright smile. This wasn't going to be to bad, was it?
"Check up... so this is the right place then? I wasn't sure really if Snowe needed a human doctor a vet." He said, flushing a little bit as he admitted to such a thing, "As it is we do need one just... we didn't call ahead of time so if we could see about making an appointment that would be nice." He could only hope that the man wouldn't be to upset with him for arriving unannounced and without a appointment at that... he hoped that he wouldn't appear as though he were wasting the man's time. He could only wait though and see how the man reacted to such news he supposed.

Shawn chuckled, and stood away from the counter, motioning back toward the exam rooms.
"Well, right this way, gents." he said with a little bow. "I'll take at look at your.. boy, I assume?... right away. I have nothing on my plate today, so by all means."
He picked up a chart from the receptionist as he walked by the desk, nodding a thank you to her before he fell in-step in front of the bear and man.
"Alright. first things first, let's get into an exam room here... how about 12?" Peeking in the empty room to make sure it was really empty, he opened the door, and led them in, shutting it behind him.
"Right. So, first order of business. Name, gender, all of that good stuff. I would have made you fill it out in the waiting room, but... Eh. I'm impatient."

There was a sigh of relief from Clover when it seemed that he wasn't going to be scolded for coming here without an appointment. Instead the Doctor seemed as though he were more then willing to do the appointment now which was a good thing. That meant that Snowe would be all ready for the holiday! Clover parked the stroller in an out of the way part of the waiting room, scooped up Snowe, the seal plush he was currently chewing on, as well as the diaper bag just in case, and hurried along after Doctor Hottie... Riverstone, deciding the enjoy the view until they got to the exam room. A shame about the lab coat though, it kinda got in the way of seeing certain things from this angle he found himself thinking.
Once inside he moved over to set Snowe down on the exam table, "His name is Snowe Regifeild, he's a boy, yes. Still pretty young, working on teething, and has a terrible habit of carbonating everything he drinks." He said, hoping that was what the man mean by 'all of that good stuff'. There might be more but he was sure anything he missed the Doctor would figure out, "He's also quite heavy for his size which is one reason I came, to make sure he was alright. The television is always going on about childhood obesity and I didn't want to accidentally let him boy get sick or something cause I didn't know the right weight of a polar bear."

Shawn wrote down the information quickly and [surprisingly] neatly. He didn't skimp on what the man had told him - jotting each and every word onto the chart.
"Snowe, huh? Is that spelled S-N-O-W-E, by any chance?" He set down the chart, and picked up his stethoscope from the counter, slinging it around his neck, and taking Snowe from Clover to get his weight on the baby scale that was on the other side of the room. "A beautiful name. Carbonating every beverage? That must be his special talent." He chuckled a bit. "Useful, for a child. Not so much for a parent. I don't experience your pain, but I do feel it. I have a child myself."
Adjusting the scale a bit, he calculated quickly, and did some fast math. "Hmmm... for a child? A bit heavy. For a polar bear? I'm going to have to go with not. But since he's a mix... I'm going to suggest a diet for a while. Do you two live around here?"

Clover gave a happy sound in his throat and nodded, "Yes, with an E at the end. Good guess." He said, having thought at the time that adding an E would make the name sound more refined somehow instead of it just being Snow without the E. He watched as Snowe was picked up and, since he was needing to be weighed took the seal plushie away for the moment, setting it with the bag.
Snowe's dark eyes followed his toy for a moment before turning to look up at the Doctor, finding that this man, while tall like all those that Clover seemed to hang out with, didn't look like the other two... strange. His ears gave a twitch as he was set down in the scale, wondering what sort of game it was that they were playing. He had no idea but the man in front of him seemed interested in it. As such he would play along.
"Yes, it's a strange sort of talent but it seems to make for interesting meals." He had to be careful to keep his own food and drinks out of reach or else they ended up a bit of a mess... though the skilled did help when things he was drinking went flat, "Ahh... a diet? Alright, what does that consist of with someone his age... I mean it's not as though he can go out running since he doesn't walk yet." He wondered what a baby diet was...
When asked if they lived around here he gave a nod of his head, "Yes, sorta. Not to far away just a few blocks in the Golden Tower apartments." The Doctor might know of them since they were well known, expensive places that usually had a waiting list to get into them. Clover on the other hand just knew they were nice, had a pool, and a nice guy in a suit whose sole purpose was to open doors for everyone that lived there, "It's got a great view from our floor, Snowe loves to stare out the windows over the city." He said with a chuckle, finding that he and Snowe both enjoyed the really high up views.

The doctor's brows went up a bit when he heard where these two lived. Well, keeping tabs on them wouldn't be all that hard then, would it? He knew people there, and he also knew that the front desk took doctors' notes as golden.
"I've a few friends that live in there." he said offhand, lifting Snowe again, and setting him back in Clover's arms.
Patting the exam table slightly, he smiled. "Up on here. You might want to hold him while I look him over, so hop on up."
He jotted down the weight in the chart, would get the length later. "Let's see... this is your first time here, so we're going to have to take some blood. Don't worry, people say I'm terrific with needles."
Quietly, he went over to one of the counters, and opened a drawer, taking out a child's blood pressure cuff. "But first." Walking back over, he wrapped the cuff around the baby bear's arm, and went about taking the blood pressure. Of course he didn't talk while he did so, but he started up again as he jotted down the relevant numbers.
"So - I see you walking down the street often enough, but I've never really asked your name..."

"Oh? That's nice, you should stop by next time you are visiting your friends." He said, giving a smile. So long as the twins weren't around it should be fine for him to have male company he thought to himself, otherwise they were sure to be displeased with the idea that there might be more competition for his affections. That thought was forgotten though as the doctor patted the exam table and told him to hop up so that he could hold Snowe, he did so instantly and took the polar bear boy in his arms, giving him a snuggle, "You are such a sweetie." He said, nuzzling against one of his fluffy ears in a way that had the boy grinning to show the teeth he'd been working so hard at getting.
At the mention of blood a little squeak escaped from Clover, "B-Blood?" He asked, not sure what he thought about that idea. Even if the man said he was good with needles it was a slightly scary idea... still, it was a part of the physical, right? Something that Snowe needed to make sure that he was healthy... he gave a slow nod of his head, "If it's necessary then by all means." He said after a moment of thought.
Watching as the man took Snowe's blood pressure he realized he had zero idea what any of the numbers meant, merely looking down at the cuff dumbly. All that stuff was completely above the blond, "Oh? You've seen us? Yeah, we do walk this way a lot though I feel bad I missed this place, we could have visited earlier... instead we were going to get candy." He admitted, flushing a little bit. Probably not the best thing to tell a Doctor, that you were out walking a lot because their was a shop that sold all sorts of tasty sweets not far from where his practice was set up. "My name? I'm Clover Regifeild." He said, giving a happy smile. It was a strange sort of name for a guy but he'd always liked it since it was given to him by his wonderful parents.

"I think I'll take you up on that offer." Shawn said, flipping pages in the chart after making some notations on the first page. "I could use a bit of an escape now and then, and I'm sure my son and yours would get along famously." He chuckled, and walked back over to the exam table, putting his stethoscope on.
He pressed it gently against Snowe's back, maneuvering his hand between child and parent in order to do so. Since Snowe was simply an infant, he couldn't give the order to breathe deeply - so he simply listened for any obvious wrongness. Not hearing anything, he transferred his stethoscope to the front of the child, and listened closely in all areas of the heart. It was of the utmost importance to detect any heart-murmurs at this age. He didn't hear anything, which he counted as a blessing.
Drawing back, he put his stethoscope around his neck, and reached out to gently feel along the bear child's throat, then down his legs, and finally his feet. Nothing felt wrong or deformed. He was simply a very healthy, very happy, very chubby little tyke.
Shawn moved over to the chart, and scribbled down the information while speaking again. "Now, part of these exams is that I look at the guardian too - so it will be your turn in a few moments, after I ask some questions about Snowe."
He sat down on the stool, and opened up another sheet of the chart, crossing his legs as he asked things about Snowe's health.
"Does he seem to be getting along with other children? And what I mean by that is does he stay pretty much around you, or is he more happy going to play with others? There's not really a right or wrong answer."

"Oh? You have a son as well?" He asked in a curious manner, wondering what a Doctor's son might be like. Probably well taken care of he thought to himself, knowing that he himself wasn't the best parent in the world but he was trying his best. The blond watched closely as the man checked Snowe over, watching his expression closely as though looking for a sign that anything was wrong... but thus far he didn't really see anything on the doctor's face that said something bad was happening. Instead all looked well which had Clover looking quite relieved.
As he was inspected Snowe reached his hands out to grab at the doctor in a playful manner, batting at the stethoscope, and otherwise trying to get a hold of the interesting looking man and the things he was holding. As the man set to tickling him, or at least that was what it seemed like he was doing to Snowe, the bear boy set to laughing and kicking his feet rapidly, squirming in place. Clover chuckled and tightened his hold on the boy to keep from escaping or falling from his lap.
He looked up at the boy, smiling up at him, "Look at me, huh?" He asked, giving a chuckled, giving a little wink, before he slid off the table, "I don't mind so much if you want to give a look over." He said, setting the boy down on the exam table before he handed him his seal plushie, letting him chew on it while the Doctor sat down to write down all that he'd taken note of so far, "Ahh... other children... well he hasn't really seen many, it's mostly just me and the twins that he deals with on a regular basis." He explained, flushing a little bit.

The doctor jotted this down too, as well as crossing out some things that he had linked to that question.
"Well, I WILL have a couple of questions to fill out about Snowe for you - and we'll have to get blood - from both of you - but right now, why don't you go put him out in the nursery, and come back in here? I'll be right back, I just need to file this chart, and grab another for you."
With that, he opened a drawer, and set out a gown - not one of those flimsy paper ones, but an actual thin cloth gown. It still showed most of the body, though - which is what doctors generally needed to see.
"Just go drop him off, slip this on, and I'll be right back. I'll leave the form for you to fill out..." he withdrew one from the chart. "Right here on the counter. If you could fill it out by the time I get back, that would be stellar."

Clover looked over at the dress that was held out to him and he couldn't help but to give a giggle, "Well normally I wouldn't wear something so revealing for someone without dinner and drinks first, but since you're a doctor I will let it slide." He said in a playful manner before he scooped Snowe up into his arms, snuggling him, "Come on my little teddy bear, let's go find the nursery so you can play there while I get a look over too. Gotta make sure I am healthy as well, alright cutie?"
Snowe made a huffy sound, nodded, then stuffed his plushie back into his mouth to chew on it while they made their way there with a bit of help, set him down in the nursery after giving him a kiss on the top of the head, then returned so that he could change into the gown. Once it was on, and his things were folded up and set aside, he climbed up onto the exam table so that he could work on filling out the form. He whistled as he did so, pausing from time to time to think over some the answers, leaving those blank when he didn't quite know the answers, then glanced toward the door. He wondered if he should have brought his phone, he could have called his mother to ask her about the things he didn't know the answers to, some of that being family history on his father's side... he really couldn't say he knew much about that side of the family.
"Hrm, well that looks good enough for now. I can call Mom later if it's important." He mused to himself, kicking his feet, looking a little bored as he was left there on his own, something he wasn't used to.

Shawn soon came back in with another chart, and closed the door behind him. He opened the chart, and jotted down the answers to the questions he'd left - some of them about Clover himself - to make that part of the exam easier.
"So... anything of concern? Having chest pains at all? Headaches? Anything you think I should know about?" he asked, drawing out the correct sized blood pressure cuff, and approaching the exam table.
"Anything at all, just let me know." he said again, wrapping the cuff around his arm, and resting the stethoscope's chestpiece against Clover's inner elbow, as he inflated the cuff, then deflating it, noting and jotting down the relevant numbers. It looked a little high, but that could also be nervousness.

"Concerns... nothing really, I get plenty of exercise between my actual exercise plan and..." He trailed off and waved a hand, giving a giggle as he did so. He gave a smile as he watched the man as he got out the cuff and put it around his arm, "Umm... let's see... yeah, nothing really comes to mind to worry about. I am not always the sharpest tool in the shed but that is normal for me, I am a ditz more then there are any underlying head injuries or something."
He watched as the man took his blood pressure then seemed to realize something, so the man was being honest about all this, wasn't he? It wasn't just the guy trying to get him into this skimpy little gown. Interesting! Neither of the twins would let him get away with wearing such a thing that was for sure, "How's it looking, Doc?" He asked, sounding curious. He wasn't really sure what to say about the look on the man's face, he didn't seem completely happy with the numbers did he? That was worrisome... he hoped it wasn't bad.
