Don't forget to go trick or treating in the shops (When trick or treating in the shops you have to find Jack on the World Map to turn in your candy this year.) or in towns and don't forget to collect your wing stickers once the event is announced and they are released. So far, everything that I've seen has said that it's going to be a masquerade. I'm slightly disappointed, masquerade just doesn't say Halloween to me. I'm having trouble finding an exact quote from Lanzer about it being a masquerade but it's at least referenced here.

Saber Talawyrm So far, everything that I've seen has said that it's going to be a masquerade. I'm slightly disappointed, masquerade just doesn't say Halloween to me. There had best at least be more to it than that. I hope that user interaction isn't limited to clicking a "Dance with" button, or some such thing. It would be the most boring Halloween event since Halloween events became a huge thing. I look forward to seeing more of the basis... Of course it will be less than what it could be if anon threads are still stupidly banned... And they probably will be.

Of course it will be less than what it could be if anon threads are still stupidly banned... And they probably will be. I would hope so, that would be terribly boring. :/ I really hope that they give the anons their own subforum in the event forum at least so that anoning can be a part of it, the anons always make the event.

The Halloween events are the only ones I look forward to, or really take part in. I rather liked the battles they put on back in '07 and '08, and up until last year, most of the items were fairly interesting. Sadly, I don't expect much of this year's event. Saber Talawyrm So far, everything that I've seen has said that it's going to be a masquerade. I'm slightly disappointed, masquerade just doesn't say Halloween to me. Well, a masquerade does fit with a Halloween theme, what with dressing up being one of its big things. I tend to focus more on the horror aspects though, and really would rather not see a masquerade either.

I didn't care much for last year's event or items either. I don't remember what the '09 event was, '08 was my favorite. I thought fighting vampires, zombies, and humans was a lot of fun and I really liked some of the items. I can't imagine what we'll get this year if it does end up being a masquerade. I didn't like how much I had to post my link. ^^; Well, that is where all the idiots are. My favorite parts of it actually had little to do with the actual event. One was an item released after it'd ended, "Her Infernal Majesty," I think it was called. When it first came out, it let me exploit a glitch that left female avatars barechested. The second was chatting via PMs with somebody I'd met in those forums, pitching conspiracy theories concerning the event, and posing my character Surtur as an actual deity.

Anyway, it was loads of fun instantly ashing the vampires and then PMing the user to say "Did it hurt?" mourn_of_blades I liked last year's shadowy cloak, but that was about it. The '09 event was the SIN vs. BOO conflict, where we advanced by following others. Yeah, exactly. There was animation, an interesting idea, something that developed the world... It was a good event. I just wish that the user interaction had been a little more meaningful. Last years was such a low key and boring thing, with zero user interaction that there was no reason to do it aside from the items. Then again, at about this time last year, I wasn't interested in much of anything, but still, it felt like they hadn't worked very hard.

I pretty much only venture into the forums for events anymore. That and I'll stop by some of my friends' threads once in awhile to say hi. I liked that item as well, I think it's still on my wishlist even. I wish I had known about that glitch, I'd have gotten around to buying it sooner. ^//^;
