Hell she is pretty damn interesting. I just kept by passing her and was likes ok. Now i got her new album secert its pretty good. Koda Kumi's fourth album contains many hit singles, such as "Chase", "Kiseki", "Selfish", "hands" as well as "CUTIE HONEY", theme song to the film of the same name! This CD+DVD edition comes with a DVD that contains 8 video clips: "CUTIE HONEY", "Chase", "Kiseki", "Selfish", "SHAKE IT", "24", "hands", and "Trust You" which is included on a DVD for the first time. The video clip of "hands" is also the previously unreleased director's cut. The first batch of secret (CD+DVD) includes a bonus track "It's a small world", where Koda Kumi collaborates with HEARTSDALES, a female duo. The song is the Japanese theme song for Jackie Chan's film Around the World in 80 Days. Also included is a bonus 28 page special booklet.

She's great and all, I especially like her songs Gentle Words, Come With Me, Crazy 4 U and real Emotion.
But, I can't help thinking how tarty she is ( sweatdrop ), her in the Crazy 4 U was just so...slutty. I don't get it, she has a fantastic voice, why does she need to dress as little as she can?

I don't get it, she has a fantastic voice, why does she need to dress as little as she can? I don't know, either. She's beautiful, so I guess a little exposure wouldn't hurt. (Though, I had to delete that PV so if my brother happened to stumble upon it, he wouldn't get the wrong idea. o.o wink

People have gotten very very disguisting on that subject. For some reason a girl can't dress properly and sing. This is what makes me lose respect for the industry and the artists themselves. I am going to go to a college of the performing arts and become an entertainer. I don't want to dress like that because that isn't who I am. I'm not a walking sex bomb so I don't want to look like one either. It might not even be her choice that she dresses like that.
That's one of the things that you have to remember. They want to sell their albums and becom hits.They want to be famous and get their voice heard. If you have the chance to do that, but you have to dress slutty to do it, all you have to do to make your dream of becoming a singer is to dress like a slut, trust me you're going to do it. Wether you're already famous and an artist or you're becoming one, you're going to take every chance you get.
Sometimes you just have to surpass those moments when they're like that and just listen to their voice. Though when artists dress like that, I lose respect for them. That is one of the reasons I hate people like Brittany Spears and Christina Augularia. They're whores.. and they definitely look like it and act like it.. I mean.. they do it all the time.. there's no getting around it.. But do they have a good voice..
That's really what it comes down to..
Now if Koda Kumi were dressing like that all the time, for concerts, even just going to get lunch or something, I would lose respect for her as an artist because she isn't giving the right image and she isn't setting a good example for people who look up to her.
But then again maybe she just did it to get her album sold. To get more attention. Something along those lines.
Like I said before. The music industry has changed a big deal. And lately, especially in America, that has been what is selling.
Though it may or may not be her choice, it was still a bad idea because she will lose fans that way. Music isn't about looking sexy and being a slut.
Music is about the music. Not you, but your lyrics and the message you're trying to get across. The notes you hit, the way you're expressing yourself through the music.
To me, music isn't supposed to be slutty.
But apparently a lot of people think it is.

I would have to say on the point that Koda Kumi is slutty. Well I hate saying this but I found it tasteful sluty like it looks good. Unlike most other singers are just nude. But she wears clothes just more untasteful way?
I have to say i love her voice. It is so strong and full. Thats what i like about Koda Kumi. She is about the only singer that i like that can pass off wearing clothes like that and still be a great singer.

I don't care for Koda Kumi that much. She sang the Japanese versions of 1000 Words and real Emotion but Jade sang them way better. Jade blew her out of the water. biggrin

I had seen Koda before, but I thought she was a model or something, I didn't know she was a singer; so I downloaded a couple of song, and I really like Selfish and 1000 Words, really cool heart

I haven't been keeping up with her release lately..lol. So fast T.T But she's a really great singer =D i like the collab she did with BoA, meaning of peace <3. But I don't get why she has to dress as little as possible sometimes :[.

Fallen_Angel_Lunaria I don't care for Koda Kumi that much. She sang the Japanese versions of 1000 Words and real Emotion but Jade sang them way better. Jade blew her out of the water. biggrin Wow, I couldn't disagree more! Jade's voice was WAY too high pitched and irriating. Ku-chan's original AND her English version were HIGHLY superior to Jade's... ...but to each their own, I suppose. I think Kristina Sa's version of Real Emotion would have been good for the US FFX-2 video game. Ku-chan's 12 singles in 12 weeks release...wow, was that a crazy 12 weeks...I used to think she was okay, but now I'm addicted to her!! Not to mention the quality of the singles was up and down and...yeah. Wow. My favourites were DDD, Imasugu Hoshii, feel, Lies and You. I initally hated Kamen, but it's growing on me. And Birthday Eve and Wind were SO dull IMO. Someday, Candy & Shake it up were kinda dull...and No Regret is good, but it's typical...
