There are secret societies everywhere. Most people have no idea that they exist, but there are others who set up these societies and join them. They can be known as some religious group, or a group that has a certain goal to achieve, like bringing down someone of importance or the like. The members can look like everyday people, but turn into this grotesque person at night, when the society meetings are held.
This is not that kind of society. It is far from the other ‘normal’ ones. While people go about their everyday normal lives, there is a large group of people who are a part of the Secret Society. They are the ones whose jobs are to keep the monsters from causing chaos on normal people. Some of these monsters are actually good, unlike their chaos causing kin, and joined the Society to keep the ‘evil’ underground. Out of sight. Unable to harm the innocents. A few humans who have seen the monsters the Society hunts and keeps in check have even decided to join to help out. The Society is everywhere, in inconspicuous buildings as their bases. Some literally are underground. The main part of the Society looks like any other building, but only the Members are allowed to enter. The members of the Secret Society are the silent heroes of the world.
The monsters the everyday person knows from movies and stories, like Dracula and the Wolf man, are all real. Their sole purpose is to follow their reputation as evil beings and only harm the people of the world. They are the ones who are hunted day by day, run away from the Society while causing pain wherever they go. They will not be stopped until they are dead.
The struggle between the hunters and the hunted of these two groups has been going on for centuries. There has never been an imbalance in power. The two sides are evenly balanced, tugging and pulling at each other constantly with no side gaining significant ground. For these two groups, there is only one question…
