 Ian Hasumi had just moved in the apartment building for his collage and career classes in the nearby Institute. Today, he was walking through the meadow to get to the apartment building listening to his Ipod and dancing as he did so. He didn't expect anyoen to be there as usual as he sang to one of his favorite songs. He skipped and jumped and spun as he flung his bag around a bit and giggled. Suddenly, he gasped and stopped as he saw another person; a neko in the meadow looking at him. He coughed a bit to clear his throat and to try and overcome the embarassment. He walked on...rather quickly to the apartment. He began to cough more as he past the neko and into the building. His asthma was acting up again making him wheeze roughly.

Yuuki let out a soft "Mew..." and blushed softly as this person walked past him. His tail slowly moved back and forth then he looked back down at his backpack, taking out his camera. Yuuki tried not to make it obvious that he was staring at this person. As he walked away Yuuki got a bit worried from all of the wheezing, his ears slanted down. He had an urge to ask if he was all right, but his shyness kept him from doing so. He noticed that the person was walking to the same apartment as Yuuki lived in. Yuuki wanted to follow him but he would have felt kind of like a stalker if he did. Quickly, he took a picture of this person whom he wanted to meet and put the camera back in his backpack, getting up and running to the back of the apartments.

Ian held onto his throat as he carefully made his way up the stairs, steadying his breathing and making it to his room. "Why on earth did I leave my inhaler at home?" He thought as he opened his door into his room...which happened to be in front of Yuuki's. He walked in; finding his inhaler and taking two puffs to calm his wheezing. He sighed. "Well, what a day. Time to get to work." Ian waltzed over to his bed where an easel sat in the corner next to the window. He began to grab his paints, a wash cloth, a jar of water, and his unfinished painting of beutiful flowers in a deep blue vase. He placed in on the easel and began to paint. He stopped after finishing the first red rose. "This needs some music." He leaned over and turned on his boom box as he found a channal playing tender Beethoven piano music. Ian smiled and turned it up as he began painting some more.

Yuuki's heart paced a bit faster than usual. He leaned back against the back of the apartments then stared up. A sigh slipped from his mouth and he walked around back to the front, walking in and to his room. He grabbed the keys out of his backpack and noticed the music playing behind him. Yuuki unlocked his door and walked in, accidentally slamming the door behind him. "Oops..." He said softly to himself, hoping he didn't disturb anyone. He placed his backpack down on the couch and walked over to the kitchen. Even though Yuuki hadn't been out long, he was craving something to eat. After heating up some left over ramen, Yuuki sat down on dining room table, listening to the music from across the hall. 'I wonder who moved in..' Yuuki thought to himself.

Ian finished his painting and sighed with a small tinge of awe. He placed his paint brushes in the jar and rushed them to the sink to soak and to be washed later. He left the artwork to dry and went to his radio. Ian switched his soft classical music to hardcore metal. He began to head bang and giggled as he jumped around and fell onto his bed. "Hopefully today..." He started, "Will turn out to be very fun." He thought over it for a while until nothing accured to him. Nothing he coudl do would qualify to make his day fun. "I don't want to do anything alone...nor do I want to...go off and try to have fun somewhere else...Maybe, just maybe..." As he thought, he walked over to the door. He opened it... He peered at the next closed door in front of him....

Yuuki Hitomi
Yuuki finished his ramen and licked his lips, wanting to get off every bit of the taste off his lips. He stood up and walked over to the sink, placing the empty bowl down. "I hate days like this.." Yuki said with his head down. Every day was exactly the same. The only difference was he saw a new person whom seemed kind of cute but chances are he wouldn't see him again. Yuuki's ears slanted down to his sides and he went to his room, getting the basket of clothes he needed to wash. He dragged the basket to the front door of his apartment and opened it, picking it up and walking out. Yuuki closed the door behind him and suddenly tripped forward over the basket, landing on his back in the hall way. "Aah!"

Ian stopped and gasped a bit seeing the neko he had saw in the field; now on the ground in the hallway. Ian wanted to laugh, but was more worried that the neko was hurt. She..or he...had just tripped over their feet and dumped all their clothing down the hall. Ian hovered over the neko. "Are you alright? You took a stumble there...Here..." Ian let out his hand to the neko who looked very cute. The large sweater and boots complimented the neko's outfit wonderfully... Ian was quite confused on if it in fact was male or female. Ian's ears were always hidden by the black beret hat on his head. His tail had fallen off due to his...inncident...

Yuuki looked up at him, not noticing who he really was and took his hand. He got up and looked up once more, he blushed a bit noticing it was the guy from earlier. His ears perked up then slanted back down. "Th- thank you.." Yuuki spoke softly and bowed his head once then got onto his knees to put his clothes back into his basket. Things were running through his head, 'I look like an idiot!' He thought to himself. As Yuuki finished putting his clothes back into his basket he stood up and a sharp pain went through his leg, something was wrong but Yuuki didn't want to make it look like he was in pain. Yuuki turned to the guy who helped him up, trying to hide the blush on his cheeks, "Thank y-you again.."

Ian smiled and smirked a bit. "It was nothing really...I do the same thing. Ian turned and saw a pair of tidy whities underneath his door. He picked them up and put them in the neko's basket. "Might need these too." Ian smiled...but before the neko could leave, he questioned. "So, we are neighbors in the apartment? Thats awesome! My name is Ian by the way. Nice to meet a neko. I'll leave you be. Just went out to go get something from the lobby." Ian turned and went the other way down the hall. He groaned. "What!? Really? Thats what I come up with to say!?" He mumbled at himself as he walked on.

Yuuki looked up at him and softly said to him "M-my name is Y-yuuki." He smiled lightly for the first time in a while but then he saw he had left, his smiled disappeared. Yuuki watched him walk down the hall then walked the other way towards the laundromat. His tail swung side to side slowly. The thought of holding his hand even for a second popped into his head, he blushed at the thought then gripped onto the basket a bit tighter.

Ian made it to the lobby and grabbed an apple from the front desk. He took a bite and sighed. Ian had lied about getting something from the lobby... all he wanted was to do...something FUN! He then felt someone tap on his shoulder. It was a woman he knew that lived in one of the apartments. She spoke hurridly. "OH! Ian my dear can you please help me!? I really need to go to this meeting but I have all this laundry I forgot to do! Could you be a darling and go-" Ian stopped her and spoke the rest for her. " Go to the Laudramat, wash them with your Heavy Duty soap, fold and leave them in your cubby until you return." The woman smiled. "You are an angel Ian!" Ian smiled and nodded as she left toward the door. He grabbed her basket of laundry and headed to the Laundramat. He blushed knowing that neko was going to be there.
He walked into the mat seeing the neko. He smiled and went to the washing machine next to him. "Hello again..." Ian said gently.

Yuuki's ears perked up and he suddenly froze, remembering what had happened earlier. "H-hi.." He said with a deep blush covering his cheeks. Yuuki looked down placing his clothes in the washer with his tail swaying side to side. As he finished putting his clothes in the washer, he walked over to a small table and grabbed the soap. He walked with a limp, still with a pain in his leg. Every so often he looked over at Ian.

Ian put the clothes on the wash and hummed a song gently to himself. From time to time, he would catch glimpses from the other neko. "...Yuuki right? That is a wonderful name. It means little princess in Japanese." Ian smiled in an as-a-matter-of-fact way. "And-" Ian stopped seeing the Yuuki limp. "Oh...did you hurt your leg? You must have sprained it when you fell. You need to put a wrapping on it so it can heal better." Ian stopped what he was doing and motioned the neko to sit down. "Here, just settle down for a second." Ian moved to a cabinent in the corner and culled out some ace bandages. He walked over and leaned down; taking off Yuuki's boot with one swift movement and examining it. "Ow...its all swolen silly." He began to wrap it slowly, not trying to hurt the other neko. "Don't worry, I will have this fixed in no time."
