so i'm going to officially give away my SHINee guild

1. tell me why you want the guild
2. tell me what you will do for the guild
3. anything else that will help your chances of getting the guild
4. the front page of the guild needs to be updated
make something to post in the front of the guild
5. make me vice captain please and thanks

if i don't find any entry i like than i'll simply keep the guild for myself

of course prize is the shinee guild itself and 10k gold

Why do I want the guild?
Well, I'm a huge Shawol, I've liked SHINee since 2008 and I don't plan on giving up on loving them. I want this guild so I can help people who are new to SHINee or are already veteran Shawols, I want everyone take make friends with eachother and discuss K-Pop and appreciate eachother and the wonderful things the five boys do together. I want to be the person to inform people of SHINee's schedules and plans for their future(saying when singles are released/when their comeback stages are/where to watch said comebacks). And I really just want everyone to get along and have fun like I stated before.

What would I do for the guild?
The biggest thing I want to do for the guild is be able to hold contests several times a year, I already have some idea for some contests, and the prizes of course would be gold(to come out of my own pocket), and maybe SHINee goods during Christmas/New Years(because I visit Korea Town then and I'm able to buy many things at once).The contests I have in mind already are:
An Essay type contest//Tell me why you love SHINee//How have they changed your life.
Make a SHINee member avatar (using tektek.org).
A SHINee picture edit contest (using Photoshop/Gimp/Etc)
A fan art contest.

All contests will be judged fairly with unbiased opinions and there will probably be
three winners for each, each winning 100K, 50K, or 25K. That would officially be determined while setting up the contest rules and regulations though.

Helping Chances?
I love helping people and I'm not easily annoyed. I accept everyone's opinions and I'm not afraid to tell people to stop being rude(breaking rules, spam, etc). I know a lot about SHINee and K-Pop in general, since I've liked it since I was 11 years old.
Another thing, if you decide to give me the guild please do not give me the gold, getting this guild shouldn't be about winning money and blowing it off, I want to prove to you that I can do a good job without being bribed by gold to do so.
Aaaand, lastly, I get on Gaia pretty much everyday, along with Tumblr/the internet in general, and I check Gaia from my phone. So if something comes up I will quickly update everyone.

Front page update: (Would I be able to redo the whole thing or...?) Oh, I'll send you an edited banner for the front page with a matching guild logo/banner sometime later today because it's currently 3AM in the morning. ^^;;

Who is SHINee?
SHINee (샤이니, pronounced shiny) is a five member korean boyband in SM Entertainment that made their debut on May 23rd of 2008 with their Mini Album '누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)'. SHINee is made up of five members: Onew (온유, Leader and Vocalist, also known as Jinki), Jonghyun (종현, Vocalist), Key (키, Vocalist and Rapper, also known as Kibum), Minho (민호, Rapper), and Taemin (태민, Vocalist and Main Dancer). SHINee's fanclub is SHINee World and fanbase members are called Shawols (a mix of the words SHINee and World), and their official color is Pearl Aqua.

SHINee has recently started their growth into Japan, releasing Japanese versions of their title songs (Replay, Hello, Juliette, and Lucifer) to expand their popularity amongst Asia and other countries.

The 5 shining boys are currently working on Japanese promotions and performances.

Tell me why you want the guild
I want to make this place shine as brightly as our boys do shine around the world. When everyone my age was spazzing out about N’SYNC and the Backstreet boys, I never got that zing of interest and couldn’t understand their desperate appreciation of these men. However, Kpop changed that for me. I felt the euphoria, the obsession, the genuine desire to do everything within my power to spread the word about their music to everyone I knew, and the yearning to do everything I could think of to make them as successful as possible.

SHINee is my first boy-band love and there will never be a time in my life when SHINee doesn’t mean something great and precious to me. I want to spread that feeling, that enthusiasm, to as many people as I can because it’s the hearts of the fans that make sure our idols stay on top. I want them to feel our love and appreciation.

Another reason I want this is because I am inexperienced at leading a guild (though I’ve lead other things in my life, namely civil service, real life clubs) and the idea of becoming the captain of a well-established guild in which I’ll still be able to rely on some input from the former captain puts my conscious at much more ease. I’m also starting (at the grassroots) another Kpop guild. This opportunity would provide invaluable experience at making that dream come true as well at the start of the new year.

Tell me what you will do for the guild

To begin, I want to do a bit of reorganization of the main forum page so that there’s a more organized way of making new announcements without old news cluttering the page. Most likely, this would take the form of an “Announcements” section of forums or condensing past announcements into a few posts at the beginning where like material is grouped together.

Also, I’d like to hold regular contests. That isn’t to say that I want to hold contest every month; participation in the guild should be for the love of SHINee, not for the love of gold with the contests you can win, but it’s to say that I’d have a very predictable schedule of contests that are very diverse in what is required so that (theoretically) at least one contest per year is a good fit to every member. I’d shoot for 2-4 well-planned contests per year that would most likely become a month-long endeavor. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and at least one honorable mention would probably be the placing per contest.

Aside from contests, I also want to hold events to increase member participation that may not have a prize aside from bragging rights. These events would also be aimed at exposure for the guild by way of participation/posting/etc outside of the SHINee forum. For example, 5 zOMG! Teams would fight for zOMG! Bragging rights in the form of a crew or klan defeating as many {insertimpossibletaskhere} as possible within a particular time frame or having some sort of party in the towns.

Participation on Gaia is awesome, but I also hope for a situation in which participation in the real world to promote SHINee, Gaia Online, and overall friendship and understanding might be realized. For example, banning together to send one massive gift to our boys for Christmas or their birthdays or the Lunar New Year. If we’re able to see each other in person and do something together, that would be even more awesome. xd ***Also, to promote more interaction within the guild, I'd like to purchase a guild chat room.***

Tell me anything else that will help your chances of getting the guild

I’m a business administration minor and am super organized/OCD (however you prefer to look at it). I tend to have a knack for organizing events and do so consistently with the enjoyment level of everyone I want to have attending at the forefront of my mind. I don’t do things purely because I want to, but do it in order to accomplish a goal that is beyond myself.

You won’t have to worry about my ego – I’m as accident prone as they come, am completely aware of this, and know that my many flaws mean I’ll need assistance in order to accomplish the greatest things I could ever do. I’m not afraid to ask for help when I’m in over my head but I also tend to ask for input from the beginning in order to avoid unnecessary headaches and wasteful allocation of resources. I believe that being in a position of leadership is to be in a position of humbling one’s self in order to better serve everyone and not your own self interests.

Although I’m gunning to be the new guild owner, I’m not opposed to co-owning, being made one of the vice captains, ***or simply being added as a mod to the SHINee crew***. In the end, I want to be involved. I want to put forth visible efforts in favor of my boys, no matter if I can be seen or if I’m behind a velvet curtain.

So...I'm officially in a state of shock and have had a very hard time even coming up with something to say in response to Friday's announcement. I am truly humbled and currently in a state of perpetual spazzing cuz I don't know what to do with myself.

However, I would like to thank you most graciously Jdene for giving me this opportunity and would like to thank all the members of this guild for making this guild a place that I so eagerly wish to make an even greater place.

I'm going to wait until the shock wears off (thus the hope of avoiding embarrassment is greater) before I make any announcements. However, I will go ahead and say that my first order of business will be to buy the chat feature for this guild.
