Character Name: Ira
Twin To: Corsair Vitari's Cruor
Type: Pokemon
Species: Shiny Charizard
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 3'
Age: 25
Hair Color: Red with black fringe in the bangs and tips.
Eye Color: Red
Skin Color: Caucasian
Other: His right horn is broken, though he often uses it to his advantage to accessorize. He wears his old uniform and has multiple piercings in his ears. He has many scars and tends to make piercings out of wounds.
Nature: Brave
Ability: Solar Power
Skill Set:
x x x x x Blast Burn
x x x x x Fire Blast
x x x x x Outrage
x x x x x Giga Impact

Personality: For all outward appearances, Ira is fairly happy-go-lucky in a sadistic, I-ate-your-best-friend-for-breakfast type way. He always seems to wear a grin or a smile but it never means anything good, holding miles of thoughts and secrets behind the deceptive expression. The Charizard is known to be every bit as violent as one would expect from a fire-type, but rather than driven by rage, he has a strange, twisted sort of glee that can make his psyche be questioned. Despite his secretive smile, Ira is known to be very blunt and has precious little concept of sparing other's feelings. Even his flirting or praise can come across as some sort of back-handed compliment. The only time he seems to be 'normal' is when he's around his twin, which, thankfully, seems to be more constant than not. With Cruor, he drops his sadistic side and instead adopts a masochistic tendency, often goading his darker twin into rough behavior.

x x x x x Sharp. Ira may seem like a harmless goofball on the best of days, but make no mistake -- nothing escapes his keen crimson stare.
x x x x x Sharp. This is especially true when in the throes of battle.
x x x x x Selfish. Ira doesn't seem to have the word 'no' in his vocabulary so long as your aim suits his purpose.
x x x x x Aloof. While Cruor likes to lead, he is content to follow -- so long as it's his twin in the front. Otherwise, he has no interest in interaction
x x x x x Aloof.that he doesn't initiate.
x x x x x Reckless. Adventure, battle, even his twin: he is reckless in dealing with all of these. Scar tissue riddling his frame and a broken horn
x x x x x Reckless.are a testament to his more 'glorious' conquests.
x x x x x Tenacious. Though Ira doesn't have any forthcoming friendliness or the most welcoming glance, he is very passionate and dedicated
x x x x x Tenacious.to whatever he puts his weight behind. Get on his good side and one may be exposed to his insatiable drive behind everything he does.

Strengths: Fiercely loyal when his respect is earned, street smart, quick learner. He's flexible (good for dancing!), has an impeccable palette and isn't easily tempted by pretty words.
Weaknesses: Lacks empathy (outside of Cruor), no tact, shallow. He's materialistic when it comes to small baubles and jewelry, can be very selfish and has jealousy tendencies towards Cruor's attention.
History: Ira and his twin were born into a prestigious life, but it was a life they never knew. The red-head has no memories of this time, recalling only waking in the headquarters of Team Rocket, cluching his golden twin and knowing with a heavy sensation of lead in his gut that his life was truly just beginning.

The good news was that they would stay together, given to a pair of officers that chose to fight as a duo. The bad news is that they kept their treasures in Pokeballs and used them as a means of control: every time one of them acted out of line or lost, they were confined to their red-and-white prison. Sometimes it would be for hours, sometimes for days, and as time passed, Ira found that he was about willing to do anything to spare himself and Cruor even an excess minute in that dark nothingness.

Ira became willfully violent in battle, earning praise but precious little time with his twin and even less freedom from their cages. He learned bitterness then, resentment on its heels, making his battles more reckless and unpredictable. He was punished, yes, but he was also used more for his lack of willingness to go down. Taking the change of pace as attention, however negative, he never ceased fighting once he was called, not until he was forcefully returned to his dark prison. If not for Cruor, it was likely the feisty fire-type would have died from his untreated wounds. Each line of blood became a scar, a memento of what all his effort had earned him. The cost of his reckless abandon was high, but in all his aggression, he was beginning to find that he liked the violence. Ira enjoyed the scent of fresh-spilled blood and began to thrive in the throes of battle. He never meant to become the monster Team Rocket wanted him to be, but he was desperate to be free and even more thread-bare at being separated from Cruor.

And then the worst happened: he was let out of his Pokeball to find himself in the clutches of someone he'd never seen before. There were words - something about a trade - and the shiny Charizard was locked in a cell. He never thought he could have hated freedom from that ball as much as he did in that moment, but the dragon raged, expending white-hot fire over anyone stupid enough to get near him until he passed out. His days consisted of illegal fights and being chained mercilessly for others to look at him, to poke and prod and ponder his worth of breeding, of showcasing and of simply having as a prestigious item. The dragon broke free of the compound he was kept at during one night training session, wounded with his effort but hardly feeling pain. Flying into the night, the furious dragon tried desperately to seek out his lost twin; after several days of searching, he fell into despair, staking out a place in the wild to survive in.

Ira existed with hatred. He earned wounds that didn't heal properly without a hospital, broke one of his horns and even took his ire out on those who were unlucky enough to cross him and think to catch him. His days were spent with malice and mourning, never ceasing in his attempt to find his other half.

One night, he found himself dreaming of Cruor -- only, Cruor wasn't like him anymore, with skin like a human's and dressed like their old trainers. Ira was uncannily aware of what was going on, understanding that his brother couldn't be found because he was different now -- a difference that was now being offered to him. He remembered being given a choice by a man of the likes he'd never seen, all words lost save for those that promised relief from the tyranny of humans. Ira didn't care if he had to give up all his limbs, readily agreeing to the deal to take the chance to see his brother again.

When next he opened his eyes, he was on the road, pushing himself up on human hands onto human feet. Ira wasn't thrilled with being that which he hated, but he knew he'd take any lengths to find Cruor and reunite with his twin -- and maybe take out his aggravation on a trainer or two. Maybe.

Sharp: all encompassing phrases such as ‘nothing escapes his keen crimson stare’ are extreme in the sense that ALL OF TIME he’d ALWAYS going to know what is going on. Simple rephrasing will fix this. Like ‘few things escape’. Is a small and simple word change that has a much larger effect.
Aloof doesn’t really match up to what you have written out, it’s more like independent? Hard to say.
You kind of go into how he’s a bit of a sadist? I would say have that as a trait. He’s also blunt, which can work into aloof/reckless (uncaring about what he says) Try to work the small paragraph directly into the highlighted traits if you can, since then they can read and flow much more cohesively.

History checks out fine though! Hope this can help if only slightly.
