After the previous night spent with Fluorite the blond had decided tonight was the night to tell Painite, and get her help. He was determined to get things learned, he couldn't have a weapon and not be able to use it. He also did have training to continue anyway, he wasn't going to relay on his weapon. He knew his lessons with Fluorite would continue and join the training he was going to kick up a notch with Painite. Lessons weren't going to come so fast and easy to him, in the way of energy gathering and teleporting, so he'd have to work on scheduling in as many training sessions as he and they could handle, alternating days between the two women.
Painite should be able to teleport to his location so he'd decided to be prepared with a hot offering. Before he'd changed, to his new form, he'd stopped off at his favorite cafe for hot drinks. Tonight was another one of those cold autumn nights that told you winter was around the corner and would be a cold one. For a moment he wished his uniform was warmer but than squashed that idea, it would be a nightmare in the summer.
Seated on top of the cities opera house he pulled the communication crystal out and held it close to his lips. "Painite, if your out there I was hoping you might be up for a talk. I'm on the opera house roof, I have a gift for you." Ok, so it wasn't a gift in the sense one might think but he had a feeling she'd love seeing that he'd made it to Captain, and maybe she'd like the hot drink as well. But he still needed a gift for her, for their gift war. He had all sorts of ideas going on but with things going on he couldn't decide which. He knew a few websites that had things he was sure she'd love. It was a matter of which thing to get and then see how she countered, from there he'd decide on his next gift.

Painite did not like being late unless it was to make a show. And tonight she had no reason to make any kind of point. Benitoite was one of her favorite people, if she were honest with herself, and she wanted to be there on time to show him the respect he deserved.
So she teleported as he had imagined she would when he gave her the call, instead of letting him wait for her with bated breath as she imagined everyone she made wait did, though she should never find that out as she hated being predictable.
She liked the idea of a gift, though she needed to get him something in their war. She just didn't know what yet. Maybe this encounter would give her a much better idea. It wasn't that she didn't know what he liked, or couldn't pick something. She could. But she was always an overachiever: she wanted something that would blow him away.
She grinned as she appeared.
Immediately she noticed his Captain gear. The change in his aura. She laughed and moved to him, having shown up at his back and not knowing he was holding drinks, and put her arms around him from behind for a big hug. As big as a person as small as she was could get a hug, anyway.
"Look at you!"

He had sensed, and heard, her arrival but remained seated as he waited for her approach. He hadn't expected the hug but gripping the two drinks he had he leaned back into her embrace. Finding some much needed comfort in her hold, the last few weeks had been more than he could handle really. It was a wonder he was keeping himself together, he figured it was strictly due to pushing everything to the back burner.
Holding up one hand, with her drink in it. "Indeed, early last evening." He spoke, to answer what he assumed she would ask at some point, when had it happened. "Fluorite knows, as of late last night. I've asked her for help with teleporting and gaining energy from people as they walk by." He hoped his beloved General didn't take offense, but he would explain himself in a moment.
"Sit, have your drink." A smile sent to her, over his shoulder. "I need your help in a way she cannot help me and I don't wish to over burden any one person with lessons. My...brush has gotten much larger. I know your weapon is long, as long as mine now is, so I thought it best to ask you for lessons. It's rather...difficult with it's weight and how it's balanced, or not balanced." He spoke thinking of the object which had grown to be taller than he himself was. The balance was odd and he had the brush to work around.

"And drinks? You should be promoted more often," she grinned at him, taking her drink with a nod and moving to plop herself near her. She smiled brightly at him, sipping at the drink that he had gotten for her. Usually she took the one that was obviously not for her, but this time she was more than happy to take the right one.
She listened patiently.
"I remember having to deal with that problem as well," she said, nodding her head, "even when my weapon was in its first stage, it was long and had a strange balance to it. I had Hiro help me with it. I'll help you, then."
She grinned at him.
"Alright, I'll help you out with it, then. After our drinks? I assume you got them because you're tired and need the energy," she gave him a coy look, teasing. Of course she was excited to get to work: training and seeing her minions, one of her Boys in this case, flourish. They were not people she looked down on, of course, though she threw the word minion around. She cherished those she worked with as family.
"You know, whenever you're ready." She leaned back, sipping at the drink and grinning at him playfully, but with keen interest.

Rolling his eyes e shook his head as well. "It's getting to be that time of year where hot drinks are a need." And something he'd likely be indulging in often on the cold nights out patrolling or gathering energy. It would keep him warm, where as he knew his uniform wouldn't in the cold of winter. Wonder if senshi went out in the cold of winter, considering the short shirts and sever lack of clothing most suffered.
"Of course. With what's happened - the missing people. I've been busy gathering what energy I can, Between that and school...you could easily say I'm tired...and stressed." It was the only way he could honestly explain his actions of a few nights back. He was tired, stressed, and not in the mood for a drawn out anything.
"When we've had out drinks. Then we can training...here perhaps?" He asked. It would not always be a convenient place that a senshi cornered them and brought them into a fight. So he might as well not ask for a trip to the park to practice there. Sipping his espresso with a happy sigh. It was one of those things he enjoyed and liked to indulge in properly, so the training would wait till the drinks were had and both of them were warm.

Painite nodded her head. It was getting cooler, she noted, and that was an interesting thing to note. It meant people would be heading home earlier at night, and they would be harder to catch in the dark. But that would not be impossible.
They just had to change their tactics.
"Sounds like a plan to me."
She sipped at her drink contentedly, enjoying the warmth as much as the flavor. Maybe more. She hadn't noticed how cold her outfit might be, as she was pretty well covered. There were layers, her cape, pants, high boots. She was geared for cool weather, save one exposed arm.
She drank in quiet for a long while, humming to herself. She wasn't one of those people that never knew what to say: she was comfortable with any kind of conversation, but at the moment she simply didn't think it was necessary. It was nice to have a friend who she could sit in quiet with and not feel even slightly awkward about it.

Indeed, it wasn't odd being so quite with the General. As he sat with her drinking slowly. It was enjoyable the silence as was as the drink. It was one of those rare evening, since those people had gone missing, where he could focus on something other than duty. He could work to improve himself and enjoy a hot drink.
When it got colder, much colder, he'd have to find a way to take his energy draining indoors, to keep himself warm and to get more people. At least as it got colder most people would be busy at malls doing Christmas shopping so perhaps he could go hunting in the mall?
He couldn't help his thoughts, in the silence, to travel that road seeing as it was chilly this evening. "I saw you on the news. I must say that dressing as senshi was interesting. I assume it was done in order to make the people think the senshi are the bad ones? A nice plot." It more and more people turned against the senshi it would help them further their own agenda and not need to worry about the people who may try and play hero and stop them, among other things.

Painite laughed and nodded her head. Which she could do without it throbbing now. She had taken a few hits during that whole meeting crashing ordeal, but it had been worth it in the end. They had gotten energy and starseeds. Everything else was just frosting on the proverbial cake.
"It worked out for the best, I think. The fallout wasn't quite what I wanted, a lot of people saw the senshi fighting and defending, which just left them as confused about the whole terrorist thing as they always are, but at least a few of us were able to get our versions into the news." She and Tag were both news hounds, one print and the other television, but she was careful not to run the same angle as him.
Didn't want to be too obvious, and the public saw them as news rivals. Mostly because she had slammed him in one of her columns. Rivalry was always fun, as far as Painite was concerned, even with her own teammates.
"Alright, I'm done," she said with a grin, eager to see his new weapon and test his limits with it. She wasn't lying, though. She had enjoyed her drink so much, it was gone far too quickly.

His own drink finished he stood, his cup set onto the roof top. "It was certainly interesting, I saw it on his show." He needn't say who's show. he knew who Tag Swagger was, had found out upon there first meeting and since then kept the information guarded. But he knew that Painite had brought him in so knew who he was also.
"Hopefully getting our version out, even if it wasn't to the extent we'd like, it'll do a job of swaying the people more to our side. I must say though...the uniforms were amusing - highly so." A short burst of laughter escaped the Captain as he took a few steps back from the General.
"How long did it take to plot out the city hall escapade?" He was curious, he had ideas of his own, or one idea, and wanted an idea on time dedicated to planning. Odds were he'd need Painite's help anyway. As he backed up, slowly, he summoned his own weapon. Honestly it was odd to balance with the heavy brush at the top and the tapering off of the brush as he ended in a point. The brush being taller than he was didn't help with the balance issue. "I've used it as a bat or a bit like a speak so far. But the brush gets in the way." And tended to get tucked under his arm as he worked with it.

Painite nodded her head. She and Tag, Osumilite, had a very interesting rivalry of sorts. Not one she would discuss with Beni, though, as she was one of his boys and was thus too 'young' in her mind to be discussing things like that. Anyway, her personal affairs were her own, no matter how complicated and vexing, thrilling and confusing they were.
She grinned as he laughed, nodding her head. That had been one of her favorite parts of the job, next to pulling that starseed from one of those damn knights. A squire, in fact, which made it even better. So that was the highlight, and then maybe just the way they had all worked together, and the amount of energy they had pulled. Then the costumes.
Definitely top three.
She looked thoughtful as his question, but was distracted by the weapon he called. Her eyebrows lifted as she looked it over. It was thicker than Mr. Saddles had ever been, and must have been heavier as well. She could see where the balance would be difficult, especially with the brush. If it got wet, she could see it being near unwieldy.
"A bat, that sounds reasonable. Or a lance, with that thinner end. It looks like a battering ram. You need to use that weight its carrying for your momentum: that thing looks like it can be a real heavy hitter. Alright, let's see what you can do with it. Attack me."
She didn't call her weapon now, standing with her arms crossed under her chest, watching him passively. She was ready, though, nerves tingling. She wanted to see how he used it, before offering any certain lessons. Instinct was always better then trying to mold to someone else's idea.

"I wish I had been involved in that plot. I should like to be involved in your next operation. I was rather...tied up with energy gathering on my own, and I had a rather large amount of homework." He was sure his teachers were out to drown him in the stuff, or at least one in particular. His history professor seemed to like nothing more than giving packets and assignments that could keep one busy for near an hour each evening. He was sure the man delighted in knowing he was keeping his students from having a social life for at least an hour.
"Especially if we get to dress up, then I really want to be involved." It would be fun, especially seeing the others dressed up again. He'd had a good laugh over the sight they all made.
The brush getting wet wasn't something he'd even thought of, though if he did think on that he'd see how bad that could be. Snow and rain would be very difficult for him to wield this weapon in. Whatever he was being prepared for, whatever weapon would come next, was likely to be a long weapon with something on one end he'd have to learn to work with. So he had to prepare now for that. It was good he didn't have whatever that weapon would be now, if it had a blade he'd be in big trouble it he had that now.
"It's the only really good way I can put it to use. If I swing myself around and bring it with me I can smack someone fairly good." The weight could do damage but it also was heavy to move around, and took a good deal of strength. He was glad for the added strength being a Negaverse member and a Captain afforded him.
Since his hand didn't fit all the way around the handle, right before the brush, he moved it so he could wrap an arm about it and took aim the best he could. This was like a two handed weapon, something to be lifted above ones head and brought down with both hands. But he didn't do that, he had it under his arm, the brush end poking out behind him, and aiming he charged.

Painite nodded her head, grinning.
"We'll do something, just the two of us. Something fun, and fitting, I think. Maybe it will be part of the gift war, if I can swing something particularly grand. But you'll just have to wait to see it, until I get it perfect." Her mind was already whirling. What could she do that would be a fun energy stealing plot and a grand gift for her friend?
It would have to be the most epic thing ever.
Sometimes her words ran faster than her actual thoughts, but now that she had the idea out in the open she was going to work with it.
Painite had an idea, for the fight at hand rather than the gift plot. She had her weapon in her hand as she moved, using her speed and the lack of weight she had to carry in her weapon to get around him and get out of the way of his attack. She watched him move, impressed. He had been learning how to use the thing, but she could see openings.
"It slows you down, doesn't it? Have you thought about starting fights without it? Summoning it for close attacks and banishing it to keep yourself unencumbered?" She charged him, planting her staff in the ground, jamming it and then launching herself forward on it, like a high jumper, to kick at him. She imagined his weapon would be perfectly suited to swing around with, as well: it was weighted well enough to bear it if he used it as a counter balance for his physical attacks rather than as the weapon itself. She was finding that she rather liked the giant paintbrush.

"Perhaps a trip to the mall would be nice, or a gallery. We could have quite a bit of fun." He spoke, something of a mischievous smile blossoming across delicate features. "But I will let you decide on a plan, planning seems to be your strong point." And maybe with time his as well. He seemed to already be displaying some good signs of a planner.
Stopping as Painite moved right around him, with an ease which bothered him; since it meant others could as well. Not that he didn't know it already but it did bother him, pointed out the biggest flaw in his weapon. He would need to find ways around it, to leave less openings to escape an attack. He'd also really need to work more on hand to hand with Painite, he couldn't rely on his weapon...as someone else had pointed out once to him.
"I haven't had it long but I did a little bit without it at the Surrounding." Turning to face her again, his weapon held in one hand at his side, the brush part pressed to the ground and the thin end pointing up toward the night sky. "I dropped it several times in the Surrounding due to it's size and the work it gives to wield it. Taken by surprise he went to bring up the weapon to block her decent upon him, but it was slow and the kick found itself connecting with his sternum. Sent back and onto his backside he found the breath knocked out of him as he slowly gained his breathing back as he rubbed his chest in a circular motion.
It did work as a nice counter balance when using it to turn around to someone and to swing at someone. It had it's high points. Climbing to his feet he turned his brush around as he wrapped both hands around the more slender of it's two ends and swung the brush end toward the General.

The gallery! She had almost forgotten about that. She still wanted to have some fun with the modern art displays. And he would get a kick out of the things she could do with those ugly excuses for art. It wasn't her job to critique art, of course, but if it was ugly then it was ugly. And most interpretive art was, no matter how benevolent she tried to be about it when asked.
And she certainly tried. She understood the need to do what your artistic instincts said, and all that jazz. They had talked about it before. And she remembered this idea before, but now they could really make it work.
She grinned as he fell, nodding her head.
At least he was a fast learner and got up as quickly as he fell down. She held up her spear and let him swing at her. She wanted to see how much weight he could put behind the attack, especially leading with the heavy end. "Hit me with your best shot, big boy!"

"I'm not all that big, and you know it." He shot back, laughing. He honestly hadn't an issue with his lack of height, though some people did make him feel especially short. He wasn't like some people may be and have a complex about it or scream about not being short. He knew he was short and petite.
The heavy end was a bit harder to use as the weapon end, but as he swung he seemed to have a bit of a hang on it.His own weight dipped down to counter i so he swung the brush at Painite. He let the brush lead in the movement as well.
"Tell me were on for the gallery, you and me. We can have a good energy haul I'm sure."
