Walking through the town Lan came across a University, and as she passed the entrance she saw a sign that said “Chungmin Park University.” As she nibbled on her cookie she stood there looking at the sign. She peered around the sign, not seeing very many around her. It was probably around the time they’d all be in class anyways, so Lan paid that no mind. She had never been to school anyways so how would she know when these human creatures went to school.
“Lan!? Lan meigui? Is that you?” a voice shouted from behind her. Her eyes opened slightly more, and raised her eyebrows but mouth still on the cookie. The sudden voice startled her a bit, but there’s not very many people who knows who she really is, or even recognize her in her human form.
A tall woman stood behind Lan. She had long black hair, and a lanky but pretty form. One you would expect from a super model. Lan tilted her head to the side. ‘Who was this strange lady?’
“Oh” she laughed “You probably don’t recognize me in this form.” She looked around her and then grabbed Lan’s small human arm and pulled her around the corner and behind the school. She then transformed and Lan’s mouth dropped open, nearly dropping her cookie. Standing before her was her best friend and neighbor from her childhood, who was also her cousin.
“SUKI!” Lan screamed, she shoved the rest of the cookie in her mouth quickly ate it, though it took longer than she would have preferred, but she managed, then she transformed into her partial demon form, jumping over to hug her long ago friend. She then realized how this stranger had recognized her. Lan had gone near home once to talk to Suki. She also showed Suki her human form, but that was a long time ago. “Suki? What are you doing here in South Korea?”
“I was actually looking for you” She giggled. “With your name being Chinese I thought, why not search in China?”
Lan slapped herself in the face and sighed. “Suki, Korea is a completely different country then China”
“IT IS?” She shouted, taking a step back along with a gasp to go along with it. Lan nodded. “Oh well, I found you either way.” She laughed, recovering quickly from the shock. Suki’s always been that way. She will never let anything affect her for too long, for a good mood is better than a bad mood, and hates dwelling on things.
“You sure did” Lan laughed.
“Hey Suki! I found out-“ A strange girl appeared around the corner on a cellular device, then she stopped when she saw Lan. “who?”
“Oh this is Lan meigui!” Suki said with a stupid grin on her face while pointing at Lan. “Lan, this is Donnie, my girlfriend” She said with a grin.
Lan blushed, she didn't know Suki swung that way. “Uh .....”
“No Lan! Bad!” Suki said karate chopping Lan on the head. “This is why I ran away from home I don’t want to hear it from you too!” She said turning away, with a look like she was about to cry. The girl named Donnie came over and hugged Suki.
Lan grinned. “You've always been so silly and over dramatic” Lan chuckled. “I just wasn't expecting this, you've always gawked at boys from the time we realized the sexual difference” Lan began to laugh now.
“Meany!” Suki turned away from Donnie and looked at Lan with tears in her eyes and her lower lip stuck out in a pout. “Those were girly boys weren't they?” She asked. Lan laughed, “Yeah, they were, weren't they? I guess you doin this really does make since now that I think about it.” Lan pondered it a while longer.
“OH! Right!” Donnie shouted and held up her phone. “My mom contacted me a minute ago, she said she could get us to the island!”
“Yes!” Suki jumped back and fist pumped. Then turned to me, “The exorcist wannabes are having tournament! Wanna come with us to see a bunch of human kids kick the s**t out of each other?” She said with her stupid grin back in place.
Lan laughed again, “Yeah sure, if you can save room for one more?”
“Definitely!” Donnie shouted with the same stupid grin on Suki’s face. Then she grabbed onto Suki’s hand and pulled her behind her. Suki then quickly turned around and reached onto Lan’s arm and tugged her along as well.
