I don't want my Aqua Blue 3DS anymore. I want DAT Flame Red 3DS. So, all I want to know is how much will Gamestop buy it for, and if I'll have to add more money to get a new one... I'm not asking for any more, and I'm not asking for any less. I just want to know how much they'll GIVE me back...

Not sure, but it's safe to assume you'll get half of your money back, then you can work your way up. But is it really that important to trade up this early? What if they unveil a newer model next year? Then you'll have the Flame Red 3DS, but it'll still be the old model, and you'll only get back half of $169.99. That's not enough to trade up with. Basically, what I'm saying is: Think long-term, rather than, "I want this now, so I'm going for it! I don't care, I can always trade up!" Living in the moment is a financially unsound way of thinking, unless you have a high income.
Whatever, though, it's your choice. So, think half the value and work your way up from there.

You'll probably get around $50 for it. Keep in mind that Gamestop has to sell it used, and they want to make a decent profit on it. You'll probably have to pay AT LEAST $100 to get a new 3DS.
Also keep in mind that the eShop is linked to specific devices, not accounts. This means you'll lose any games that you've bought, and you'll lose ambassador status if you had it before.

Oh yeeaah, but what if I keep the SD card and say it was lost?

I'll get like, 120$ back since I got it for over 250$ ? So, that means I only need like 60$ to get a new one since the Price Dropped down... Oh, and if a new model is comming out NEXT YEAR I think I can wait to get it.
&
What if I kept the SD card and say it was lost? Will I still keep the Ambasator data? Because I see that when I take my SD card out, the Ambasator Cirtificate is gone. Will that mean I'll still recieve the free games in an Update? Because I have like 3 Nintendo DS Games and over 5 Nintendo Wii games I would like to sell... Hopefully it's enough so I can get a Red one...

I think the eShop data is synced with your system id (which is part of the system hardware). If people could just put their Ambassador Status on an SD card, I think Ebay would have listing for those cards.
I just remembered that you can use a system transfer to move data from one 3DS to another. If the cashier lets you do that, you can keep your data. The only thing I'm not sure about is friend lists. I don't know if you get to keep your old number, or if you're given a new one.
Gamestop goes by the current price of things. No matter how much you paid for something, when a price is slashed, so is your trade in.

He has a point there, though the red ones are in where I work I decided to stay with my blue one, I have too much on it that I don't want to lose for a new one.

You must really want that colour change o.O There's no Gamestops around here, but I never trade things in since the money gained back doesn't really seem worth it.

And considering that the 3DS comes with an SD card...That, and the Ambassador program is rigged directly to your system.
Just do the system transfer.

I asked the Gamestop by my University. They said they will take the 3DS for $75, which means I'll just have to pay the rest. I'm also trying to change colors (black leaves too many fingerprints). I want to get as a pink one, but I want to see what future bundles will carry, or if any new colors will be released.
